UA Stadium (Day)
"Xiao-Long!" Jiro yelled, running to the blonde. "You wanna team up?"
"Why not?" Dominic said. "Wait, are you just doing this because being on my team means you'll start with a million points?"
"Uh, no..." Jiro said, glancing off to the side for a moment.
"Eh, works for me." the boy said before turning around. "Hatsume! We got a full team!"
"YES!" the pinkette said as she rushed over to the blonde.
"Wait, where's the fourth member?" Jiro asked, confused.
"Well, it has something to do with my Quirk." Dominic said. "You see, my body is almost entirely made of volcanic rock. This means I can't be a rider since I weigh well over 1,500 pounds, and I can't be a horse since extended contact with my skin will cause severe burns. So, I decided to choose a team member who can both handle my weight and my body temperature. Come on out!" The trainer threw out a Poke Ball, releasing a cyan Pokemon that resembled the Loch Ness Monster. "This is Lapras. And it's our key to victory!"
"You do know this challenge is happening on dry land, right?" Jiro asked, noticing Lapras' distinct lack of legs.
"No matter. Lapras is good at fighting on land just as well as on water." Dominic explained, patting his Pokemon's head as it trilled in glee. "It also happens to be one of my toughest Pokemon. Even a blast from Bakugo wouldn't leave a scratch."
"Sounds good to me. Plus, it would attract a lot of attention to our team if Lapras was our horse." Hatsume said.
"A water horse, if you will." Dominic said, laughing. When no one else was laughing, he stopped. "Hmm. Tough crowd."
Soon enough, the timer that allowed students to pick their teams went off. "Now then, it's time to get started!" Midnight said, prompting each team to take their places.
3, 2, 1, GO!
And just like that, every single other team went after Team Xiao-Long. "SHEEP!" Dominic yelled.
"Looks like our defensive plans just went out the window." Jiro blanched.
"Good thing I had a Plan B in case this happened. Lapras, Blizzard!" Dominic commanded, making Lapras' entire body glow bright cyan. Suddenly, bursts of cold wind emerged from its body, flash-freezing a couple of teams that got too close. However, the Blizzard was bypassed by a shadowy substance that surrounded Lapras. The substance, as soon as it touched the Transport Pokemon, began pulling it down into the ground. "Oh, boy. Quicksand. And not the delicious kind." That earned the blonde strange looks from his teammates, including Lapras. "Long story." he said, as if that explained everything. "Everyone, close your eyes!" he commanded, prompting each of his teammates to shut their eyes. The trainer aimed his hands at the ground, then blasted the earth with two beams of pure energy. The propulsion was strong enough to lift Lapras out of the quicksand. "Now, Lapras! Hydro Pump!" In less than a second, the team that trapped them was blasted away by water pressure.
When they landed back on terra firma, Lapras used the remaining moisture on the ground from Hydro Pump to skate across the battlefield.
"Hatsume, keep an eye on our rear. Jiro, blast away anyone who gets too close to our sides." Dominic said, forming a ball of fire in each hand.
"Xiao-Long, someones coming toward us!" Jiro said, pointing to Shoji, who was rushing at them with his Dupli-Arms covering his back.
"And Tetsutetsu's coming back for round 2!" Hatsume warned.
"Jiro, you know what to do." Dominic said, taking aim at Team Tetsutetsu with his fireballs. That is, until something squishy latched onto his back. "What the-?" Grabbing the object, his hand immediately got stuck. "Oh, Mineta." he groaned, incinerating the ball. "WHERE IS THAT LITTLE PUNK!" he yelled as his left eye lit up. With his thermal vision he spotted Mineta and Asui underneath Shoji's Dupli-Arms. "You can't fool me. Hatsume, Jiro, cover your ears." the blonde said before covering his own ears. "Lapras, Perish Song!"
At the command, Lapras let loose a mournful tune, coating everyone in the immediate vicinity, including Lapras, in a staticy aura. This made both Team Mineta and Team Tetsutetsu stagger before eventually falling to the ground in indescribable pain.
"What the hell was that!?" Jiro asked as Dominic used a Max Potion on Lapras.
"Perish Song. It's a Move that assures that everything in earshot will get knocked out. It's why I asked you two to cover your ears." Dominic explained. Then, something caught his attention. "Do you hear the sound of a stove turning on?" Turning around, he saw Bakugo flying straight at him. "Holy mother of- Lapras, you know what to do. Initiate Operation: Homing Attack."
What happened next was one of the craziest things anyone present ever witnessed. Dominic jumped into the air, curled into a ball, and while he was midair, Lapras attacked him with Iron Head, sending him flying at Bakugo. The two blondes collided, creating an explosion of fire and insanity. The blast caused both Fire Element teenagers to be launched back to their respective teams.
"That went exactly how I wanted it to go." Dominic said, still dazed. Then, a massive battlefield made of ice appeared on the other side of the stadium. "Am I still concussed, or is there a glacier behind me?"
"Both." Hatsume and Jiro said at the same time.
