Oki Mariner (Night)

"I see them!" Sirius said, pointing to a rock formation not far from their boat. "They're hiding in the shadow of Double Rock! Cut the engine and try to find one of their blind spots!" she told one of her crewmates. "Froppy, Mountain King, you're with me."

"Aye aye." Dominic and Asui said together. The blonde reached into his pocket, retrieving an Ultra Ball and releasing Gyarados in a sparkling light. They, along with Sirius and the crewmate, scaled the rock formation until they could see the enemy ship. Standing on the deck was someone with an octopus face and a yellow rain jacket.

"Froppy, can you deal with the guard?" Sirius asked. The girl nodded, and used her tongue to restrain the guard and bring them to the formation. Before the guard could realize what had happened, their mouth/beak was covered by Sirius' hand. "If you don't answer our questions, we'll have to get rough with you." The heroine pointed upwards, where Gyarados' head was positioned. The Pokemon's maw was enough to scare the guard into telling them everything. After getting what they needed, they tied the guard up and gagged their mouth/beak.

"Gyarados isn't suited to fighting in enclosed spaces." Dominic said. "Bringing it onto a boat that small will sink it, which might allow our target to get away to shore."

"Then we'll have it wait here in case they try fleeing." Sirius said.

Nodding, the Pokemon Trainer got a Poke Ball from his pocket and threw it into the air, releasing a humanoid frog Pokemon with its tongue wrapped around its neck like a scarf. "Greninja, your expertise is required here." Dominic told the Ninja Pokemon, who nodded in response.

"Who's that?" Asui asked, secretly wondering if her own tongue could do that. As always, Dominic got his Pokedex and showed everyone Greninja's entry.

"Greninja, the Ninja Pokemon. Type: Water/Dark. It appears and vanishes with a ninja's grace. It toys with its enemies using swift movements, while slicing them with throwing stars of sharpest water."

Soon after, the group boarded the enemy ship. "There's only one person on the boat. He's hiding in a cabin." Sirius told the crewmate, who walked toward the cabin slowly.

"I'll drag him out!" he said. But before he could do anything else, a jet of ink splatted his face, blinding him. He was then repeatedly shot with seeds that glowed bright green, sending him flying into the rocks and knocking him out cold.

While Asui and Sirius were worried about his well-being, Dominic could only think about the attacks that were just used. 'That was Octozooka and Bullet Seed.' he thought to himself, looking in Greninja's direction. The Pokemon had realized the exact same thing. This wasn't an ordinary villain.

This was a Pokemon Trainer.

"Get out of the way!" Dominic yelled to his teammates as a beam of energy surged toward him. Thankfully, Greninja arrived a split second before it landed and cut the attack in half with Night Slash.

"Froppy, Mountain King, run away!" Sirius yelled shortly before a red tentacle grabbed her by the waist.

"I can't believe this." the villain said, slowly coming out of the darkness. It was a middle-aged man with white hair. He wore a yellow and red raincoat, as well as a captain's hat. By his side was an octopus Pokemon that had Sirius in its grip. "I get sent to this crazy ocean, and the first familiar face I see is you." He glared at Dominic while he said this.

"Xiao-Long, do you know him?" Asui asked, dropping the hero name.

"We have a history." the blonde said as Greninja adopted its fighting stance. "This is Captain Pieuvre. He's a Pokemon Hunter."

"Damn right! And if it wasn't for you, I'd still have my Shiny Magikarp!" Pieuvre yelled, angry. "But despite this, I'm happy to see you. Because it means I can finally exact my revenge! Come out, Dragalge!" The captain threw out a Poke Ball, which let out a huge Pokemon that looked very similar to dead kelp.

"Greninja!" Dominic said, getting the attention of his partner. "This is a Full Battle. Having you fight Dragalge and then his other five Pokemon will end in disaster. Please return for now." The Ninja Pokemon nodded, allowing itself to come back to the Poke Ball. "If you really want to do this here, then I won't hold back! Here we go, Slowbro!" Dominic threw a Poke Ball, releasing a pink Pokemon with a different Pokemon biting down on its tail. The blonde then turned to Asui and tossed his Pokedex to her. "Take this, it should help." he told her. Without a Pokemon of her own to fight with, his classmate wouldn't stand a chance against the Captain while he still had a full team.

Not knowing what else to do, Asui pointed the device at each Pokemon on deck.

"Octillery, the Jet Pokemon. Type: Water. Octillery grabs onto its foe using its tentacles. This Pokemon tries to immobilize it before delivering the finishing blow. If the foe turns out to be too strong, Octillery spews ink to escape."

"Dragalge, the Mock Kelp Pokemon. Type: Poison/Dragon. Their poison is strong enough to eat through the hull of a tanker, and they spit it indiscriminately at anything that enters their territory. Tales are told of ships that wander into seas where Dragalge live, never to return."

"Slowbro, the Hermit Crab Pokemon. Type: Water/Psychic. Slowbro's tail has a Shellder firmly attached with a bite. As a result, the tail can't be used for fishing anymore. This causes Slowbro to grudgingly swim and catch prey instead."

"If you won't attack, then we'll go first! Use Yawn!" Dominic commanded. Slowbro opened its mouth, causing white bubbles to fly out at Dragalge's face. As soon as they struck the Dragon-Type, its eyes started to look a bit more tired. 'Got it!'

"It doesn't matter, we'll win before it falls asleep!" Pieuvre proclaimed. "Thunderbolt!" Dragalge's body started emitting voltage before a bolt of lightning shot from its forehead, hitting Slowbro with the full force of the attack. The Hermit Crab Pokemon fell to the ground, electricity still coming off of its injured body.

'He's a lot stronger than he was back then.' Dominic thought to himself, sending Slowbro back to its Poke Ball. 'This won't be as easy as I thought.'
