Summary: Spectrum and International Rescue react to Rhapsody's Mysteronization.
Notes: Just a quick heads up that there is a Trigger Warning for the end of this chapter.

It was silent in the operations centre at Skybase, as every available Colour officer and Angel Pilot watched the security footage of the rental carpark Rhapsody Angel was last seen alive in played out.
Which showed in hi-definition, Dianne getting ambushed and shot dead in cold blood by Captain Black, before being Mysteronized, and driving away in the car that she had hired with him.
"I know that this sounds insensitive," The newly promoted, Captain Amber commented. "But is a bad thing that I hope Rhapsody was killed in that car wreck?"
"It is insensitive," Captain White replied. "But I don't disagree with you," he nodded his head towards Colonel Scarlet, Captain's Mahogany and Turquoise, Lieutenant Coral, Dr. Fawn, Symphony and the rest of the Angel pilots. "To ask any of them to pull the trigger on Rhapsody, would destroy the one that did it."
"You are aware we can hear you," Turquoise growled. "And stop talking about her like she is dead or a lost cause, you never know she might have broke free, like Scarlet and Mahogany did."
"And if that was the case she should have followed SOP and reported in by now," White shot back. "Face it, if she is still alive she is most likely their slave."
Scarlet flinched at the comment, probably remembering all the threat's that Black made in regards to Simone, Colonel Blue thought, and looked like he was about to say something…
"Enough," Blue cut in, before Scarlet could reply. "As much as we would like to hope that Rhapsody broke free from control or died in the crash, we can't rule out the possibility that she is an agent under Mysteron control."
"Black almost certainly made it out alive," Mahogany added. "There is evidence that there was another vehicle at the scene," he sighed, sadly. "If Dianne is still alive, locating her is going to be a priority, someone needs to talk to her father and impress the need for her to turn herself in."
Blue nodded, "Captain's White and Turquoise," he ordered. "I'm ordering you to go talk to Lord Robert Simm's in person, and inform him of the situation."
"Couldn't that be done over a communicator?" Lieutenant Chartreuse asked.
Blue shook his head, "There are some things that have to be done in person," Blue looked at Mahogany. "Besides it's a good thing to show that we are not heartless monsters."
Mahogany snorted, "Most of the time," he muttered.

Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward Tracy glared at the two Spectrum officers that had come to her cousin, Robert, to discuss his daughter's disappearance.
It was obvious that something very bad had happened to Dianne otherwise they wouldn't be insisting that Spectrum be called immediately if she was spotted, not to mention Spectrum had locked down any and all footage of her last movements, before John and Briar could get hold of a copy.
Penelope looked at her sister-in-law, Kayo, and knew from her ashen face, that she had reached the same conclusion as she had.
Dianne had been attacked and Mysteronized, and since that they were asking them to be on the lookout meant that Spectrum had no idea where she was, which meant that they had to be on the lookout for a potential attack.
As the officers made their move to leave, Penelope called out, "Gentleman," she said. "May I have a quiet word?"
Captain Turquoise nodded, "Lead the way," he replied.
After having a quick quiet word, with Robert and his wife (not Dianne's mother, that was a whole different can of worms), Penelope and Kayo escorted the two officers into another room of Robert's house.
Penelope had barely shut the door when Kayo launched into the two officers, "Okay cut the crap you two," she snarled. "Was Dianne Mysteronized or not?"
White threw Turquoise a startled look, "What-what are you talking about, Ma'am?" He stuttered. "What-"
"Don't bother trying to cover up," Turquoise cut in. "They know."
White's eyes widened, "They know!?!" He hissed. "We have a security breach!?!"
Turquoise shrugged, "Not really," he commented. "I think you will find that they have known about the Mysterons, since Mars was evacuated at beginning of the war."
"Wait, what?" White stammered. "How the hell would they know that kind of information?"
"They are part of International Rescue, White," Turquoise replied. "If they hadn't already hacked our system for a low level clearance report on the Mysterons back in sixty-eight, they would have found out all about them when one of their security officers was Mysteronized in eighty-nine."
"My oldest son, if you didn't already know," Kayo snapped. "So you can see why we a little bit touchy about losing another member of our family to those monsters."
"I'm sorry," Turquoise replied. "Dianne was attacked and killed in the rental parking lot, we do not know if her Mysteronized form is dead or alive, but if she is, she is not a normal human anymore."
Kayo blinked and stared, as she started to shake, Penelope quickly walked up to support her, "Well that's it then," she said, quietly. "Is there any chance Dianne could have broken free, like the two Mysteron officers that you claim to have."
"They know about Scarlet and Mahogany!?!" White exclaimed.
Penelope's eyes narrowed as Turquoise facepalmed, "So that's who they are," she growled. "Dianne refused to tell us their names."
"That's because she wasn't meant to," Turquoise sighed, as he looked at White. "And you're the one that going to explain to the Colonel about that slip up."
Whatever response that White had in mind was cut off by Kayo's outraged roar, "You let Kesha interact with a Mysteron, after they were the ones that murdered Kallen!?!" She snarled. "How could-"
"How did you find out that Dianne was working for us?" Penelope cut off her sister-in-law, before Kayo said something that she would regret. "Dianne would not have censored her reports to us unless she hadn't been compromised."
Turquoise shifted uncomfortably, as if he was thinking about how to answer the question without revealing more classified information, "Off the record, Colonel Blue doesn't have an issue with International Rescue knowing the full story about the Mysteron threat," he began slowly. "He's been trying to get you guys full clearance, considering this war of nerves has affected you on more than one occasion, for years, but powers higher than him have had constantly said no," he growled. "We all could get the firing squad for telling you what you do know, and you're lucky we have some personnel that are familiar with some of the people that work for your organisation, if Dianne was caught after giving out information about our personnel, she could have been facing serious disciplinary action."
"How would have you even found out that we knew?" Penelope retorted. "We could have kept the information to ourselves, with you being none the wiser."
Turquoise snorted softly, "No offence," he replied. "But there is no way you would have been able to do that, or are you forgetting that Shane was a guest of ours not so long ago?"
"When you messed with his memory," Kayo growled. "Are you basically admitting that he saw something that he wasn't meant to?"
"Obviously," Turquoise replied. "And from what I heard that Dianne's reaction, to the same information, was very similar to his, there would have been no way you would have been able to keep quiet about it."
"The way you say it suggests it's something we should know," Penelope commented.
Turquoise shrugged, "Probably because it is?" He replied. "But my hands are tied on this, and you know too much already." He sighed. "And to answer your question you asked about Dianne, before we got sidetracked, is not good I'm afraid, Scarlet and Mahogany breaking free were flukes to be perfectly honest with you."
A tear escaped from Penelope's eye, "And if a miracle happens?" She asked. "Or if she has to be put out of her misery, will you let us know what happened to her in the end?"
"If she is dead dead, Lord Simms will be informed," White confirmed. "Then you will be free to make any arrangements."
"If she broke free, that could be a little bit more tricky," Turquoise added. "Depending on what's decided, you could still get that death notice, if that happens we would have to contact you through unofficial channels."
"We still have the communicators you gave us," Kayo snapped. "We will contact you, and only you, unless Coral can prove she is not the Mysteron daughter, through them." Kayo held up a hand to cut off Turquoise's response. "Mahogany is not to contact us again, same with any other Mysteron officer you have or may have in the future, with the exception of Dianne, if she manages to break free, and you are not to work with us again unless you are working with a non Mysteron partner, have I made myself clear?"
Turquoise had an expression of pure outrage on his face as he bit out, "S.I.R." in acknowledgment.
And with that the meeting was over, Turquoise stormed out of the room with a pale as his uniform White trailing behind.
Penelope turned to her sister-in-law, "Are you sure that you are doing the right thing?" She asked. "Mysteron or not, Mahogany is one of Keys and Phia's friends."
"One that they haven't had contact with for over a year," Kayo replied. "They will understand and get over it once they hear the truth of the matter."
"Maybe I should have mentioned something about Phia's children to Turquoise," Penelope mused. "To quench any flame that young man might have for her, since clearly she has moved on."
"It would be better coming from her," Kayo replied. "Otherwise they could accuse us of meddling."
Penelope nodded, the problem with Turquoise would have to wait until another day, "We better check in an inform the Island of the developments," she said, as she reached for her compact.

A/N: Trigger Warning for this next part, see you at the bottom you don't wish to read.
I think the quote "She would make a fetching Mysteron slave." Should some up the fact that you don't want to be a woman in Mysteron custody.

Dianne stared hatefully at Captain Black as he wiped her spit away from his face, "I've got to hand it to Scarlet," he commented. "He sure knows how to pick them."
She hadn't meant for Black to find out about her complicated relationship with Paul, but when the thing that was controlling Conrad Lefkon's body first forced himself into her mind and body, all of her instincts, both new and old screamed for Paul to help her.
"Keep fighting all you want my dear," Black hissed at her. "It will do you no good, I'm not an ordinary Myst that can turned away by your rejection, in fact I get pleasure from it."
"Well, why don't you take off these restraints," Dianne snarled, as held up her arms. "And make it a fair fight."
Black laughed, "Don't think for a second that I wouldn't take great pleasure in breaking you," he smirked, as he grabbed a fist full of Dianne's hair and pulled her to her feet. "Because the idea of destroying you, preferably in front of Scarlet, is such a turn on that I might arrange it once you are spent," he pulled her head up so she was looking into his dead eyes. "But consider yourself lucky that you are too valuable at the moment, little Myst," he threw her down on the bed. "And that I have to keep you in one piece."
Dianne tried to sit up, but Black grabbed her arms and pulled them over the top her head, "What do you want with me?" She shrieked, as she tried and failed to stop him from securing her arms to the bars in the headboard of the bed. "Why am I so important to keep alive?"
"Because your kind have to pay for their sins," Black replied, as he lazily stroked a hand down Dianne's side, feeling like ice cold slime crawling on her skin. "Making Mars uninhabitable and hiding your descendants in the primitive species that would evolve into the disgusting humans of today." Black blocked Dianne's attempt to swing her legs up and kick him the head. "Naughty, naughty, girly, do you want hear the answer to your question now or not?"
"Get your hands off me!" Dianne snarled.
"Now why would I want to do that?" Black replied, as he dragged a hand down her leg. "Answer the question."
"Don't you want my full attention to be on what you're saying and not on what you're doing?" Dianne replied. "Answer the original question, but keep your hands to yourself."
Black thought about it for a moment, "Fine," he said, flipping Dianne's legs back down on the bed. "But I'm warning you girl, no funny business, you move to attack me all bets are off."
"Like, l'm in position to argue," Dianne replied, crossing her ankles, so her legs were tightly pressed together.
Black frowned, "You only brought yourself a couple of moments girl," he growled. "It's not like your mate is going to find you anytime soon, too bad for you that Scarlet never truly embraced his Myst nature."
"Never say never," Dianne snapped. "Besides he has Mahogany and Coral with him."
"Ahh, but will he ask them for help?" Black retorted. "And the only way Mahogany and Coral have any chance of finding you is if they get close."
Dianne stared back at him, he was right about Paul asking his daughter and son-in-law about the intimate side of their relationship.
Black smiled at her, as if reading her thoughts, "Now where was I?" He murmured as leaned over to look her in the eyes. "Ahh yes, the part where you are hiding dormant in random members the human population," he grimaced. "Now we could wipe out and Mysteronize hundreds of humans in the hope of finding where you cowards are hiding, but that would be a waste of resources and there is no way to safely retrieve the Mysteron that has the misfortune of possessing a Myst."
Dianne blinked in shock, "We kill the Mysteron that try's to possess us?"
"Not to mention you tend to be instantly hostile towards us," Black whispered into her ear. "So having too many of you at once could actually be a real threat to us, because we can't control you."
Black violently grabbed Dianne's face, "Not unless we control you from the start and teach you to obey, from the moment you're born."
Notes: So for those that didn't read the last part, Dianne is alive and Paul needs to start to embrace his Myst nature to have any chance save her.
The Mysterons have a serious hate for Mysts and since finding them in the human population results in them losing Mysterons and just makes more enemies, so they will just make new ones that they can control using Mysts they capture.
I have a formal introduction in another story in mind for White and Chartreuse but in the meantime…
Captain White - Reginald Winchester, 38
Lieutenant Chartreuse - Seymour Griffiths, 27, (Serena is still a part of Spectrum and I can't have two greens at the same time)
International Rescue is still putting their foot in it in regards to Mahogany and Turquoise, Kayo might get some unexpected pushback from her decision in regards to Mahogany…
Oh and White knows he put his foot in it by revealing the information he did.
