I-Island (Afternoon)

Dominic and the rest of the 1A students were surprised to find that the source of the explosion was Kirishima, who had apparently reached the top of an artificial mountain with his Quirk.

"So, I take it he's from UA as well?" Melissa asked.

"Yeah, he's one of our classmates." Dominic explained. This couldn't be the surprise, could it?

"Kacchan!?" Midoriya exclaimed, seeing his childhood friend challenge the course as well. The blonde shot through the arena like a cannonball, destroying any test robots he came across.

Once he noticed the rest of his classmates, Bakugo launched himself onto the viewing platform. "Dammit! What are you doing here, Deku!?" he yelled.

"We could ask you the same thing!" Dominic said. "Did you and Kirishima get invited to the expo?"

"Nah." the red-haired boy answered. "We just tagged along with Todoroki. It pays to be the son of the Number 2 Hero, you know?"

'We clearly have different definitions of that word.' Dominic mentally blanched. It was at this point that he sensed something. Something familiar.

"And now for our special guest!" the commentator for the event said into her microphone. "A personal guest of one of the I-Expo's top contributors, it's the Pokemon Trainer Leon!"

Everyone in the stands, as well as Bakugo and Kirishima, were caught off-guard by the announcement. But none were more surprised than Dominic. 'Leon's here?' he thought to himself, almost questioning if he was dreaming.

But true to what the announcer said, the purple-haired Galarian walked onto the field in his signature Sword and Shield shirt and 001 sports pants. "Let's have a champion time!" he called out, throwing a Poke Ball. Intelon appeared in a flash of light, landing next to its Trainer.

"A Pokemon Trainer?" Midoriya said, confused.

"Do you know him, Xiao-Long?" Uraraka asked.

"Yeah." Dominic answered. "He's an extremely talented trainer, and a master of strategy." Memories of his championship battle with Leon filled the blonde's head. "The last time I battled him, he very nearly beat me. I only won because of Cinderace's Libero Ability. Melissa, did you know about this?"

"No, I didn't." the girl said. "But I did overhear my dad talking to some guy who wanted to him to fund some sort of project to help increase the power of Pokemon. I assumed it was about you, but maybe it was about him."

The challenge started, and as soon as it did, the former Galar Champion issued a command. "Inteleon, run and use Snipe Shot on the targets up ahead!" The Secret Agent Pokemon disappeared in a blur of black and blue, only becoming visible to the human eye when it momentarily stopped to fire Snipe Shot. "Now use Mud Shot on the ones surrounding you!" Inteleon jumped backward, spinning as it did so, while firing off Mud Shot at every target in its sight. It landed next to Leon, proud of the score it got.

"Leon!" Dominic shouted, waving at his old friend.

The man and his Pokemon turned to see the blonde's wide smile. "Hey, Dominic!"

The blonde jumped down to greet the Champion level Trainer. "I'd ask how you got here, but I assume it has something to do with your abysmal sense of direction."

"Hey, it's not that bad." Leon said, embarrassed.

"Dude, you managed to get lost on the way from Postwick's train station to your own house." Dominic blanched. "You're lucky your Charizard puts up with this nonsense. Anyways, can I introduce you to my new friends?"

"Sure. We can talk more at the battlefield." Leon said.

"I'm sorry, the what?" Dominic asked, wondering if he misheard.

I-Island Battlefield (Afternoon)

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Leon." Dominic said after bringing his classmates and the Galarian to the battlefield. (He would've followed Leon, but decided against it.)

"Wow! I never thought I'd ever meet another Pokemon Trainer like Xiao-Long!" Uraraka said, impressed.

"I wonder if their Pokemon are similar in strength." Yaoyorozu said, curious.

"Hey! Why don't you two battle?" Kaminari suggested.

"It would be interesting to see how they compare." Iida agreed.

"Well?" Dominic said, turning to Leon. "It has been a while since we last battled. What do you say? Battle Tower rules?"

"Why not?" Leon said with a smile, walking to one end of the battlefield while his opponent went to the other. "Rhyperior, come on out!" The man threw a Poke Ball, releasing a heavyweight Pokemon with an impressive horn in its forehead.

"In that case, Falinks, battle formation!" Dominic called out, throwing a Poke Ball and letting out Falinks. "We'll start by using Poison Jab! Wiggler Formation!"

"Stop it with Rock Blast!" Leon commanded. Rhyperior raised its arm and fired several stones at its opponent. The stones hit Falinks as it ran toward Rhyperior, halting its attack. "Now, let's boost our speed with Rock Polish!" A white shine covered Rhyperior's body, smoothing out its rugged skin.

"Be careful. Spiny Formation!" Dominic said. The Troopers all formed a circle with their horns pointing outwards. The Brass was in the center, keeping a close eye on their opponent.

"We'll break through it! Use Dragon Rush!" Leon shouted. Rhyperior was coated in a blazing aura as it ran at full speed toward Falinks.

"Counter with Megahorn!" Dominic said. The Brass' horn turned lime green and extended. Just as Rhyperior made contact, Falinks jumped forward and directly struck the larger Pokemon's stomach. Both Pokemon took damage from the attack and staggered, with the Troopers helping the Brass Falinks onto its feet.

"Can you still battle, Rhyperior?" Leon asked. The Pokemon roared and slammed its arms together in response. "Great! Now use Earthquake!" Rhyperior slammed its palms into the ground, causing a wave of tremors to spread under the battlefield.

"Quick, Pokey Formation!" Dominic called out. Falinks stacked on top of each other, with the Brass on top. "Launch the Brass at Rhyperior, then use Close Combat!" Like a slingshot, the Brass Falinks was sent flying over the Earthquake. Once it was above Rhyperior, its horn and shields turned bright orange and it repeatedly struck the Drill Pokemon's face. Miraculously, though, Rhyperior was still standing thanks to its Ability.

"Now's the perfect time to reveal our trump card, Rhyperior!" Leon said with a smile. His Pokemon was holding a Weakness Policy, which meant that being hit with Close Combat increased its offensive stats. "Now use Rock Blast!" The Drill Pokemon once again fired off several stones from the holes in its hands, landing a direct hit on the Brass Falinks, knocking it out. Since the Troopers were all knocked out by Earthquake, Falinks was officially recognized as Fainted.

"Thank you for your help. Return." Dominic said, calling his Pokemon back. "I gotta say, this is turning out to be a great surprise!"

Leon's Team: Rhyperior, Unknown, Unknown

AN: As a 3-on-3, this won't take as long as the last time I did this. Who else is glad Leon showed up?
