I-Island Battlefield (Afternoon)
"Here's someone who's wanted to battle you since the last time we met!" Dominic said, throwing out a Poke Ball and releasing a large metallic Pokemon that looked vaguely like a stapler remover.
"Whoa! Is that the same Duraludon as the one you used in Wyndon?" Leon asked, recognizing the Pokemon.
"Yep. But after a school trip, it evolved into Archaludon." Dominic explained, followed by the Alloy Pokemon growling. "Now, then. Let's get this show on the road with Hyper Beam!" Archaludon's mouth filled with golden light before it fired off the attack, instantly knocking Rhyperior out. "Looks like Falinks' Megahorn and Close Combat really weakened Rhyperior." Dominic said, holding the Formation Pokemon's Poke Ball in his hand. "Thank you for your help."
"You've grown a lot, Archaludon." Leon said as he recalled Rhyperior, smiling. "It's clear that you trained hard to get where you are now." Archaludon seemed to like the compliment, letting out a soft growl while a happy expression was on its face. "For my next Pokemon, go Rillaboom!" Leon threw another Poke Ball, letting out the simian Pokemon. "Start it off with Focus Blast!" Rillaboom formed a ball of light between its hands, which it then threw at Archaludon. The attack struck the Pokemon's chest, dealing immense damage.
"Okay, time for the move we've trained hard for! Use Electro Shot!" Dominic shouted, grinning. Archaludon got down on all fours, resembling a certain steel bridge, gathering energy.
"What's happening?" Mineta asked.
"It looks like Archaludon is preparing to fire an attack." Iida answered.
"Correct." Dominic confirmed. "Electro Shot requires a lot of energy to use, so it gathers static electricity in order to fire it."
"But doesn't that mean that it's vulnerable while charging it?" Uraraka asked.
"Something tells me it won't go down that easily." Leon said with a smirk. "Rillaboom, Earth Power!" Rillaboom punched the ground, causing the area beneath Archaludon swell before exploding under it.
"Time to release your power! Fire!" Dominic commanded. Archaludon's entire body surged with electricity as it launched a cannon of electric energy at Rillaboom, causing its body to start glowing green. 'Oh, that's not good.'
"There's Rillaboom's Overgrow Ability." Leon said. "Now, use Grass Pledge!" Rillaboom jumped into the air, slamming its fist into the ground and causing green light to seep from cracks in the battlefield.
"Quick, use Draco Meteor!" Dominic shouted, worried. The Alloy Pokemon roared into the sky, causing flaming hunks of rock to fall from orbit. After it executed the attack, Grass Pledge landed and severely damaged Archaludon. Draco Meteor landed, creating a massive explosion that knocked Rillaboom out. Unfortunately, the recoil lowered Archaludon's Special Attack stat. 'If I know anything about Leon, he'll use Charizard as his last Pokemon.'
"Good work, Rillaboom." Leon said, calling back his Pokemon before bringing out an Ultra Ball. "Now, let's have a champion time. Charizard, come out!" Throwing the ball, Leon's strongest Pokemon appeared in a flash of light.
"Wait, he has a Charizard too?" Midoriya asked, surprised.
"Yeah. It's my strongest partner." Leon explained, fond memories returning. "It's been with me since the beginning of my life as a Pokemon Trainer."
"It won't be easy to beat." Dominic said, knowing that all of Archaludon's moves were weakened by Draco Meteor. 'If it won't last much longer, we might as well go out with a bang.' "Use Hyper Beam!" Once again, Archaludon fired the attack.
"Stop it with Fire Blast!" Leon commanded, prompting his partner to fire a ball of flame that not only stopped Hyper Beam, but it managed to tear through it and land against Archaludon, knocking it out.
"You did well, Archaludon." Dominic said as he recalled his Pokemon, smiling. The last time it battled Leon, it was still a Duraludon. It took out his Dragapult with Draco Meteor and Stone Edge, but was taken out before it could land a finishing blow. The man was right, it had grown a lot since then. Its triumph over Rillaboom was proof of this. "Now, it's time for the third act! Charizard, come out!" Throwing a Poke Ball, the Flame Pokemon appeared, staring down Leon's Charizard.
"Woah. This looks intense." Kaminari said, looking at the two Pokemon.
"Dominic's Charizard has a bit of a rivalry against mine." Leon explained.
"Yeah. Charizard as a species are known for having tests of strength against each other, so I wasn't really surprised the first time it happened. But still, I'd never seen it so fired up before." Dominic said, recalling the first battle his Charizard had with Leon's. "Anyways, let's get started by going all out from the opening! Time for Mega Evolution!" Dominic pressed two fingers to his Key Stone, triggering the transformation. In a rainbow-colored light, Charizard Mega Evolved into Mega Charizard Y.
"No holding back as usual, I see." Leon said with a smirk. "Then we'll pay you back in kind. Fire Blast, go!"
"You too! Fire Blast!" Dominic shouted. Both Fire Blasts collided with each other, creating a ball of flame that promptly exploded. When the smoke cleared, neither Pokemon was injured by the attacks. "Fly up!" Mega Charizard Y took flight, soaring into the air at Mach 9.6*.
"You too, Charizard!" Leon said. His Charizard followed after Dominic's, but failed to catch up to it. "Use Hurricane to slow it down!" Leon's Charizard beat its wings furiously, forming a cyclone that was launched at Mega Charizard Y.
"Defend with Dragon Claw!" Dominic commanded. Mega Charizard Y activated Dragon Claw and covered its face with its claws, reducing the damage from Hurricane. "Now attack!" In a blur of orange and blue, Mega Charizard Y sped towards Leon's Charizard.
"Counter with Fire Blast!" Leon said with a smile. His Charizard faced Dominic's and fired off the attack, staggering it slightly before Dragon Claw landed. The impact of the attacks caused both Pokemon to land on the battlefield again.
"I don't think I've ever seen Dominic's Charizard fight this passionately." Iida said.
"Fighting at full strength against a rival! So manly!" Kirishima exclaimed, happy to see the battle with his own eyes. He wouldn't trade this experience for anything.
"Solar Beam!" Leon said. His Charizard absorbed the sunlight from its opponent's Drought Ability. After a few seconds, it fired a beam of green energy.
"Dodge, then use Fire Blast!" Dominic commanded. Mega Charizard Y swiftly moved out of the way of Solar Beam, then launched a giant ball of flame at Leon's Charizard. The ensuing explosion tore the battlefield open, forming a crater that was hot to the touch. Leon's Charizard staggered a bit before collapsing. Dominic and his Charizard won.

*1: Mega Charizard Y's Pokedex entry states that it can fly faster than a jet fighter. Since the fastest jet plane in the world can fly at Mach 9.6, it stands to reason that Mega Charizard Y can as well.
