I-Island Battlefield (Evening)
"Your Charizard has gotten a lot stronger." Leon said, sending his own Charizard back to its Poke Ball.
"We've been training a lot recently." Dominic said as his partner returned to its normal form. "There have been a few close calls, and we both want to make sure we're ready the next time something happens."
"He's right." Todoroki said, having just finished a Quirk Practice Course. "Their power is one of the reasons they managed to win the UA Sports Festival."
"But you didn't make it easy." the blonde said, grinning.
"Still, the amount of power Charizard would've needed to counter Todoroki's Quirk is far beyond anything I thought possible from it!" Midoriya said. That final clash was one of the most amazing things he'd ever seen.
"Well, of course!" Leon said. "Dominic's a Champion! He's been training his Pokemon to be as tough as nails since before we met!"
"Champion?" Jiro asked, curious.
"It's cause I won the Sports Festival." Dominic explained. He then turned to Leon. "Right?"
"Uh, yeah." the man said sheepishly. He was still getting used to the whole 'different world' thing.
"It's getting quite late. Why don't we meet back up at the expo?" Iida suggested.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Dominic said. "It'll also give me some time to catch up with Leon."
I-Island (Evening)
After locating it on his map, Dominic led Leon to an Italian restaurant. They ordered and took their seats at a table before discussing the obvious.
"I have a few questions." the blonde said. "First of which being, how did you get to this world?"
"It happened during a match at the Battle Tower." Leon said. "Just as I was getting ready to Gigantamax Charizard, a bright light flashed in the center of the battlefield and swallowed up everything. Next thing I knew, I was stranded in a field in this world with Charizard."
"So, the same as with Pieuvre and I." Dominic said, remembering the story the poacher told him. "So, how did you manage to get to I-Island?"
"Well, it has to do with one of the people that came with me to this world." Leon explained. "The reason I was at the Battle Tower was to show Chairman Rose how I repurposed his building. He's the one who met Mr. Shield and got me an invitation."
"Rose is on the island?" Dominic asked. Since his adventure in Pasio, Rose had changed a bit. Of course, the fact that it technically wasn't the same man may have been a contributing factor. "So, I'm guessing he's the one who had the idea to power up Pokemon?"
"Yeah. He's thinking of using Galar Particles to help Pokemon Dynamax in this world." Leon said. "After seeing it happen in Pasio, the idea just sparked for him."
"Seriously? That would be a huge help!" the blonde exclaimed, excited to Gigantamax his Charizard again. "But how is that even possible? There aren't any Galar Particles here."
"Actually, there are." Leon corrected, holding up a Poke Ball. Dominic got the message almost immediately.
"I can't believe I forgot about that." the boy said, slapping his own face. "That's one of the reasons I was invited, wasn't it?"
"Among other things." Leon said. "Chairman Rose and Mr. Shield did some tests and figured out a way to temporarily induce Dynamaxing. We were hoping that your help could extend that time."
"Makes sense. I should've figured out the formula months ago. This is a step in the right direction." Dominic said.
"Speaking of steps in the right direction, your Charizard is really coming along as a fighter." Leon complimented. "That last Fire Blast it used was far stronger than it should've been, even for a Mega Evolved Pokemon. I think it's getting ready to learn a new Move."
"Really?" Dominic said in disbelief.
"Yeah. It might just be me, but I think it's going to learn an Ultimate Move in the near future." the Galarian said. "With just a bit more training, it could use Blast Burn in battle."
"There's still an hour until the expo. If we devote that time to Charizard's development, we can add Blast Burn to its moveset immediately!" Dominic realized, grinning widely. Having an Ultimate Move at his disposal would be an immense help. Then he realized something. "Wait, you said Rose was 'one of' the people who joined you. Who's the other?"
I-Island (Evening)
Hatsume was absolutely adoring the hall of innovation. Weapons, armor, vehicles, everything a Pro Hero could ever want was here. Suddenly, something small bumped into her ankle. She looked down to see a rodent-like creature with black and yellow fur, as well as bright pink cheeks.
"Sorry, it's mine." a female voice said. It belonged to a girl with black hair, a leather jacket, and a pink skirt. She knelt down and picked up the creature. "Morpeko, you should know better than to run off like that."
"It's fine." Hatsume said. "You know, your little hamster thing reminds me a bit of something my friend has. I think it was called Raychoo?"
"Wait, do you mean Raichu?" the black-haired girl asked. "Is your friend Dominic Xiao-Long, by any chance?"
"Yeah! Do you know him from the Sports Festival?" Hatsume asked.
"No, I knew him before that." the girl said. "The name's Marnie. I'm the Spikemuth Gym Leader."
AN: Rose and Marnie are in the story! Charizard's learning to use Blast Burn! Dominic might get to Dynamax his Pokemon again!
