I-Expo (Night)
So, All Might's speech was a disaster. As it turned out, the island had been invaded by villains. A group of mask-wearing men barged into the main room and took everyone there hostage, including All Might, Rose, and Leon. The person in charge of this was a red-haired man wearing a mask made of metal that looked welded together. Thankfully, the UA students and Melissa were safe, since they were on the second floor looking down at the action. Thanks to Jiro's Quirk, they were able to receive a message from All Might telling them to run.
The group went to the nearest elevator to talk about what to do next.
"All Might's our teacher. If he says to run, then I say we run." Iida said. "Otherwise, we'd be going against his will."
"I'm afraid I have to agree with what Iida is saying." Yaoyorozu said. "We're still only students. We can't fight these villains without our Hero Licenses."
"Why don't we get out of here and tell the heroes outside?" Kaminari suggested.
"Sorry, but that's not gonna happen." Dominic said. "Unless you plan on somehow breaking through one of the greatest defense systems on the planet." He'd heard about how the island used the same protocols as Tartarus Prison, which was essentially this world's equivalent of Cloudcracker before it blew up.
"And even if we could, I don't think we should." Marnie said. "We're the only ones who can help right now, so it's our obligation to do what we can."
"Are you crazy!? They have All Might tied up!" Mineta said, worried. "How can we expect to beat them if they have the pros captive!?"
"Aren't we trying to be pros ourselves?" Todoroki said.
"Well, yes, but we aren't allowed to work as heroes. You know that." Yaoyorozu said.
"Just because we can't do something doesn't mean we can't do something." Dominic said. "If we don't help, the best case scenario is that the island ends up sinking into the ocean, killing us all by proxy."
"That's the best case scenario?" Kaminari asked, holding onto Mineta for dear life.
"If we don't help." Dominic clarified. "If we do, then we can figure out our enemy's motive, and stop them."
After a bit of silence, Midoriya spoke up. "I want to help. I want to save them."
"DID NONE OF YOU LEARN ANYTHING FROM THE USJ!?" Mineta screamed.
"This is totally different! We don't have to fight them!" the greenette said. "We just need to think of a way to rescue All Might and everyone else at the party without facing the bad guys."
"Not sure if you noticed, Midoriya, but that room is crawling with villains." Dominic said. Even Greninja, his stealthiest Pokemon, wouldn't be able to sneak into a room that heavily packed.
"I know, but I still want to try! We just have to find a way to keep these criminals from winning!" Midoriya said, filled with conviction.
"I can help." Melissa said. "I know where the security system is. It's on the top floor of the tower. If the criminals have taken control of it, then the authentication locks have probably been disabled. We should be able to restart the system ourselves. We just need to stay off the villains' radar until we reach the top floor, that's all."
"Unfortunately, none of my flying Pokemon can help in this situation." Dominic said, walking to a wall. "These walls are made of a compact metal that's both easy to transport and tougher than any other mineral on the planet. My partners can break it, but it would take too much time. And even if we did, the villains would know our location."
"How did you know that about the walls?" Asui asked.
"Hatsume told me on the way here." Dominic said. "Speaking of which, how did YOU know that?"
"I-Island's website is the last thing I read before bed every night." Hatsume revealed.
"We're getting away from the point." Marnie said. "Melissa, is there any way for us to assure that the villains don't find us?"
"Well, since the security system hasn't found us yet, it probably means that the villains don't know how to fully operate it." Melissa theorized.
"So we avoid fighting anyone and focus on getting the place back to normal." Todoroki said.
"Many of our enemies will likely be gathered at the top floor." Yaoyorozu said, worried.
"But given the size of our group, we may just stand a chance if it comes to that." Dominic said. "Besides, Marnie and I both have enough Pokemon on hand to be able to act as a diversion for you all."
"He's right." Marnie said, confident in both her Pokemon and herself. "But let's be realistic, Dom. My Grimmsnarl's going to be infinitely more useful here than your Charizard."
"I told you not to call me that." Dominic said, irritated. "And if I remember correctly, Charizard beat your Grimmsnarl into the ground last time we battled."
"Only 'cause we fought in Spikemuth!" Marnie argued. "If it happened on a Power Spot, G-Max Snooze would've knocked you right out!"
"If you think Grimmsnarl is faster than Charizard, then maybe we should settle this right here, right now." Dominic said with a grin, bringing out a Poke Ball. Then he realized that he and Marnie were the only people in the room. "Wait, where did everybody go?"
"They left during our argument." Marnie said. "We should probably go join them."
"Yeah, agreed." Dominic said, following after his classmates.
