The air was tense & silent, the night sky created by Nyx & empowered by Erebus disappearing to reveal the afternoon sun shining brightly upon Theo & Issei as they floated in the air.
Yet, both fighters could not care less for the night disappearing as they cautiously watched the black portal in front of them, its edges spreading through the air until it was nearly twice the size of Kuoh Town with the edges touching the ground below & the clouds above.
"S-Sensei, what is that?" Issei asked as an aura began to leak from the portal, the atmosphere going from tense to nearly choking as maliciousness & hunger rippled from the abyss that felt as if it was staring at them.
Theo tried to answer, but couldn't as it felt as if he was choking on his words, staring in shock as the surface of the portal rippled once before something finally came true.
First, it was a talon-like foott, four toes on the foot with pitch black nails on each toe. The skin was a deep greyish-brown like that of scorched dirt as it stomped on the ground & cratered it with ease.
Next, was a hand that ripped through the portal & clung to its edges, the skin the same deep grey-brown as the foot with pitch black claws replacing the nails and blackish insects that looked like the giant cousins of centipedes sticking out from under its skin as they thrashed around.
Soon, the second foot & hand joined their counterparts, the other hand also visibly gripping onto the energy edges of the portal before Theo's eyes widened as a deafening & monstrous roar echoed from within the portal.
"Issei! I need every boost you can give me!" Theo exclaimed as he turned Anaklusmos into its xiphos form, channelling every bit of divine energy that he had into the blade.
While Issei would usually ask questions, the panic in his sensei's voice was enough to let him know that this was a matter of the utmost urgency and he quickly did as he asked.
"Ddraig!"
[BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] [BOOST] Ddraig didn't answer as he swiftly decided to boost Issei's power as much as he possibly could, Issei gritting his teeth in pain as he felt his stamina draining to its limit before roaring as his tail wrapped around Theo's waist and transferred every bit of power to him.
Instantly, Theo's aura exploded in power exponentially as Anaklusmos turned into a golden sun of light & divine energy as Theo focused on one specific spell that he knew.
"Let Heaven and Earth tremble! Let all roar in glee as the world is torn asunder! Roar, Anaklusmos!" Theo roared as he brought the blade down & an ethereal visage of a monstrous golden guillotine appeared above the portal before it came down.
"Xekínise. (Begone.)" A deep voice rumbled from within the portal as the right hand rose from clinging to the portal into the path of the blade, Theo's eyes widening as the hand easily caught the blade before a scoff echoed through the air as the clawed hand gripped & shattered the blade with ease.
Before Theo could even wonder what happened, the air around him shifted before he gave a silent scream as something crashed into him, sending him barrelling head over heels at mach speeds before crashing straight into the ground.
'W-W-What…the fuck…was that?' Theo blinked blearily as his vision was nothing but blurs & spun in front of him, barely able to make out the blurry visage of something big approaching him.
However, he blinked as the world began to focus & stop spinning just as a row of large silver Nordic crests appeared above him, all but one shattering as the last strained itself before the object was repelled.
"Theo!" He faintly heard Rossweisse's voice, turning to his right at where it came from before giving a blink at the sight of a concerned Rossweisse landing next to him as well as making out the still form of Issei in his Balance Breaker lying on the ground.
"Hey, Rose. Did you get the plate of the moon that crashed into me?" He asked with a weak smile and Rossweisse gave a teary-eyed giggle as she nodded before turning as Issei groaned.
"Sensei, I don't think fighting godlike beings is for me." The teenage human groaned as he pushed himself up from the Issei-sized crater he was lying in and Theo chuckled as he nodded, wincing as shaking his head gave him a headache before grunting as he slowly sat up.
"So…anyone going to explain that?" Rossweisse asked after the two had gotten their bearing, both blinking in confusion at her question before they turned to look at what she was pointing at only for their eyes to widen as a giant three-faced being was looking directly at them with a glare, an amused smirk and a look of disdain.
A dark crimson sprouted from the foreheads of the smirking & glaring faces on the sides as two pairs of eyes gave them the side-eye while the glaring face had a pitch black horn in the middle of its forehead that curved out & upwards.
"O kósmos prépei na échei xechásei to ónomá mou an énas aplós theós nomízei óti boreí na mou epitetheí, o ídios o Tyfón o Vasiliás ton Teráton. (The world must have forgotten my name if a mere fledgeling god thinks he can attack me, Typhon the King of Monsters himself.)" The three-faced being, Typhon, spoke with a frown as it stomped towards them, each step sending out a pulse of malicious aura that made Theo's arms tremble as both Rossweisse & Issei were taking deep breaths to get some air into their lungs.
"T-Theo, what do we do?"
"I don't suppose you have a way to run away, right?" He asked, sighing as she just gave him a pointed glare.
"Just a suggestion. Well, Typhon could take on Uncle Zeus, so unless we have a direct line to him, we're fucked."
"You do have something better, however." A voice echoed through the air and Theo grinned as Typhon frowned in confusion before he blinked as he felt the air pushing down on him as an apple-headed being appeared like a mirage in front of Theo & the others.
"Poios tolmá na epitetheí ston megálo Tyfóna? (Who dares attack the great Typhon?)"
"I do. Isaac Newton, creator of the Laws of Physics."
"And me, Samson! The 13th Judge of Ancient Israel!" Samson's bellow came from below Typhon, the King of Monsters looking down just before his head snapped back as Samson landed an uppercut into its jaw.
Isaac was waiting for that moment as he snapped his fingers, an apple appearing in front of him before it shot out & into the chin of Typhon just as the King looked down.
The air around the apple warped before it popped, unleashing a shockwave that knocked Typhon back as he looked stunned, confused & enraged as he was pushed back by someone he knew to be inferior.
"Ms. Rossweisse. The intel we have on you says that you are good at Nordic Sealing Runes. Do you believe you can make one that can seal him away?" Isaac asked as he continued to snap his fingers whilst looking away from Typhon to look at Rossweisse, the Valkyrie bewildered & confused at the question as she looked at Typhon only to see it being pestered by the barrage of apples unleashing shock wave after shock wave with a pop as well as a cackling Samson gleefully crashing into the behemoth over & over again.
"Um, yes, but it would take me five minutes to do so."
"Then we shall buy you five minutes. Theseus, young Issei, please rest as I'm sure you've already strained your bodies beyond their limits."
"Nope. I can still-!" Theo was cut off by him stifling a scream as pain exploded in his limbs, falling over with a grunt as Isaac just sighed while Issei dismissed his Balance Breaker armour with a snort.
"Yeah, we're done."
"Very well. Ms. Yasaka is on the way as we speak to pick you two up & get you out of here. In the meantime, please stay next to Ms. Rossweisse." Isaac finished speaking just as Typhon roared, the apple-head turning around to see the King raising a fist before bringing it down onto the ground with a deafening crash.
However, instead of a monstrous dust storm & a shock wave rippling outwards, it was a pulse of energy that travelled across the ground before hundreds of different beasts, insects & monsters shot out of the ground.
However, they were all stopped by a gleeful roaring Samson as he crashed into the ground with his mace while sending a pulse of his mana out with it, grinning as the shock wave unleashed a barrage of mana-coated shrapnel that tore through the horde rushing towards them & reduced it to bloody paste.
"So, what's the plan for taking on one of the Top 10 Beings in the World?" Samson asked as he stood up from his crater, both fighters looking up at Typhon, who was glaring down at him as he raised a fist before a chuckle escaped Isaac as he placed both of his hands on his apple head.
"Stall until Ms. Rossweisse can seal him away."
"Sounds like a good plan to me." Samson said with a grin as he spun his mace by its chain before grinning as he barrelled towards Typhon with a bellow, Isaac smirking before he sighed as he reached for the stem on top of its head.
"In the name of the Heavenly Father, let my glory be righteous." Samson began to chant as he ran up the leg of Typhon, swinging his chain & wrapping it around the wrist of his arm currently reaching for him before Samson pulled himself out of the way & further up the King's body.
"With the glory of science, I shall set my plans in motion." Isaac chanted as he pulled out the stem with a grunt, his head focused on the blade at the end of it before he gritted his teeth as he held it sideways before stabbing it directly into the side of his skull.
"Oh, Lord, Strengthen Me Once More." Samson growled as he landed on Typhon's wrist before leaping up to his upper arm, doing a barrel roll through the gaps of the left hand trying to grab him before grunting as he rolled & continued running up to Typhon's shoulder.
"Oh, Science, Bless Me with Knowledge." Isaac spoke as the stem in his grasp began to sink into his skull, drops of white & gold ichor dripping from the top & the side of his apple-head respectively before a large crack spread through the middle of it.
"Come, Revelation!" Samson roared as he landed on Typhon's shoulder before spinning through the air with a glorious leap.
The Monster King was only given a split second to turn before his eyes widened in pain as Samson's mace expanded in size exponentially & crashed into the side of his skull.
"Be Crushed by Glorious Science! Forceful Endeavour!" Isaac growled and his apple-head shattered to reveal a pitch black skull with deep golden eyes glaring up at Typhon as Isaac slapped his hand down.
Samson gave a feral grin as he swung his now giant mace to float above the head of the confused Typhon before the King gave a wheeze as the gravity around them quintupled in force.
The mace came down onto Typhon's skull with a deafening boom & smashed him head first into the ground, the earth trembling as his body came crashing down moments later.
"Death to the enemies of the Heavenly Father!" Samson roared as he pulled the mace back upwards with a single arm, spinning around as he brought it back down onto Typhon's skull with another earth-shattering boom.
Isaac just grinned as he reverted gravity around Typhon by ten times, the King pulled from his gravity at a rapid pace just as Samson grinned & swung his fist forward.
The air quaked as Samson's fist crashed into Typhon's body, the Monster King surprised to feel a slight bit of pain now in his chest as he felt his body contorting around the blow before he wheezed as gravity shifted & he was forced back into the ground.
"I-Pós… eínai oi aploí ánthropoi ikanoí na prokalésoun póno se éna on ópos egó? (H-How…are mere humans able to cause a being such as I pain?)" Typhon muttered in shock as he felt brief stabs of pain with each ground shattering punch & kick that Samson landed on his chest as well as the slight winces he gave as the mace was smashed into his face over and over again.
However, the King soon reached his limits as a livid look adorned his face, Samson's eyes widening as the King looked at him before he gave a silent gasp of pain as a hand came up & slapped him away.
Isaac was quick to catch him as soon as he was slapped away, pulling Samson to him while ripping out chunks of earth & tossing it at Typhon.
The King growled at the mortal trying to attack him before he leapt high up into the sky, both Isaac & Samson staring in shock at the monstrous shadow covering the ground before Typhon came back down with a bellow.
"RRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Isaac answered his bellow with his own as he threw Samson back towards the others, a massive purple sigil that rivalled Typhon's shadow appearing below him before the King blinked in surprise as he felt his body slowing down.
Isaac gritted his teeth & strained his body as he slowly pushed the King to the side, not letting go until Typhon landed softly on the ground before he gasped as his arms dropped to his sides.
Typhon frowned as he stared at the wizard that stopped his attack before everyone's eyes widened as Typhon shrunk down to nearly the same height as Samson within an instant, the King ignoring Samson slowly stepping back at the now full brunt of Typhon's aura slamming into him as he looked down at the gasping Isaac.
In a split second, Isaac gasped as a hand pierced right through his chest, a stoic look on Typhon's face as he ripped his bloody arm back out before turning as Samson roared.
His mace shrunk back to its original size as Samson spun it around him before bringing it in a wide arc around his left, but Typhon just snorted as he reached out & caught the mace with ease.
Crushing it with the same ease as crushing the skulls of all those gods he killed, Typhon looked back in disinterest at Samson's shocked look before blinking as he heard a wheezing chuckle from the side.
"H-H-Hehe. T-That's…not enough…to kill me…Typhon." Isaac gasped out and Typhon tilted his head before, for the first time since he appeared, a smirk spread across all three of his face as he nodded.
"Polý kalá. Se glítona giatí me diaskédases gia éna defterólepto. (Very well. I was sparing you because you amused me for a second.)" And before they could blink, Isaac was sent skidding across the ground before coming to a stop next to the shocked Rossweisse, Theo & issei, a gaping hole in his abdomen & skull while his limbs were broken & shattered in various places.
"Isaac! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Samson roared as he wrapped his chain around Typhon before pulling the Monster King closer, Typhon just giving him a look of disinterest as he was thrown high up into the air before Samson appeared besides him in the blink of an eye.
With a deafening roar, Samson bellowed as he threw the King at the ground, Typhon buried head first deep into the ground within a split second before the ground was shattered as Samson came crashing down with a ton of mana enforcing his body.
However, Samson's eyes widened as the dust was quickly dispelled to reveal Typhon lying leisurely in the crater he was in, holding up Samson with one foot before the human wheezed as a foot smashed into his chest & sent him flipping through the air.
"First Seal: Bifrost." Rossweisse's voice echoed throughout the clearing as Typhon stopped in his tracks, a rainbow-like aura covering the ground before the King grunted as tendrils made out of the same energy shot out of the ground & wrapped around his body in a tight cocoon.
"Second Seal: Spiritual Vines." Silver vines appeared in the air around him & intertwined with the rainbow tendrils, Typhon growling as he tried to free himself only for his eyes to widen as he felt his divine aura vigorously being sucked into the vines.
"Third Seal: Titanomachy." His eyes grew even wider as a familiar pitch black portal appeared below him, roaring out curses to the high heavens as he felt himself sinking into it.
"OCHI! OCHI! ARNOUMAI NA EPISTROFO! THA METANOISEIS TIN MERA POU EKANES ECHTHRO TON TYFONA KORITSI! (NO! NO! I REFUSE TO GO BACK! YOU SHALL REGRET THE DAY YOU MADE AN ENEMY OF TYPHON, GIRL!)" Typhon roared at Rossweisse as all but his head had been sealed away and the last thing he saw was Rossweisse giving a giggle as she snorted before his head disappeared, Rossweisse waving her wand & sealing the portal above him.
"What the hell was that?" Theo asked as he stared at where the portal previously was & Rossweisse shrugged as she sat down on the ground with a wince, dismissing her armour as she stretched her body.
"A new sealing spell Lord Odin was working on. He taught me the first seal & second seal and after I heard of his battle with Niðhöggr, I decided to ask him for help on modifying its enchantment to my liking. It's…just a shame I couldn't finish the incantation sooner." She muttered as she looked at Isaac's still form, Samson kneeling next to it before they looked up as Theo chuckled.
"Don't worry about him. That's just his dummy body." That surprised both Rossweisse & Samson as they blinked in shock, Issei listening on at the conversation before he shrugged as he went back to napping since no one died.
"What?" Samson asked and Theo blinked as he turned to him.
"You didn't know? He told everyone in the Organization about how his body is too weak to use his magic in battle, so he had Nikola made him a dummy body/ puppet that lets him exercise the full power of his magic in exchange for him needing to sit still in order to use it. …You spaced out during that, didn't you?" Theo muttered with a sigh, shaking his head as Samson gave a sheepish grin while Rossweisse rolled her eyes.
"You should have let him keep on crying. That would teach him to listen more during meetings." Isaac's robotic/ stoic voice cut through the air as he sat upright, giving Samson a pointed stare as Theo chuckled while Rossweisse frowned.
"Wait, then why does it look so life-like?"
"I asked for it to look this life-like, because it would look strange if I started sparking & leaking some kind of oil/ viscous liquid with every injury I sustain during battle." Isaac answered with a shaky shrug, Rossweisse humming in agreement before Theo sighed as a pair of arms wrapped around his neck & a healing aura flowed through his body.
"Aren't you supposed to be at home?" Rossweisse asked with a frown before blushing slightly as Yasaka glared at her while Theo smirked.
"We both know she'd rather die than stay a moment away from us, but I agree with her. You should be with Kunou & protecting her."
"Cao Cao, Xenovia & Ingvild are protecting her & Asia is keeping her entertained."
"Ah, that would do it." Theo nodded before he winced as he slowly stood up, smiling in thanks at Rossweisse & Yasaka who helped him up.
"Hey. Anyone going to help the teenage boy lying face first into the ground? Kind of need it considering I can't feel a single muscle." Issei's voice came out muffled from the dirt he was lying on & Theo snorted as Samson threw the boy onto his shoulder while carrying the body of Isaac in an underarm carry.
"Come on, everyone. Time to head on home and later, I'll see if we can't order a buffet in celebration."
"Ooh, can we have takoyaki?" Issei asked with a hopeful grin, which grew as Theo shrugged.
"Sure, whatever you want. You earned it."
