Sonic: I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog! Our first mission with STRIKE had us clean up Hell's Kitchen with Daredevil. Who did they think I am, a janitor? I'll make an exception this time since the streets were littered with crooks ranging from the Egg Army to a loser named Junior. He and Shocker told us that another crime boss, Roman Torchwick, is after something in the Kingpin's stash. Better stop him before this gang war gets messy.

Volume 1 Issue 6: Villainous Pursuit

Central Francisco, Unified World. (Day of The Convergence)

Central Francisco. A reborn San Francisco because of its merging with Central City of Mobius. The G.U.N. Fortress is based here, inside a large mountain in the near vicinity of the city. It's almost dawn and light is about to shine all over this unified town. It would be bad timing for some Hooligans to rob a jewelry store. Made worse if they broke into a vault using a loud bomb that shatters windows. Which is exactly what is happening right now.

"…Couldn't have made that any louder?" A Mobian Jerboa snarked, coughing within the smoke alongside his polar bear teammate.

"Did you want me to?" Their eccentric Woodpecker friend asked.

"NO!" The angry Jerboa retorted. "Grab the Emerald and let's book it!" He ordered, gesturing to the polar bear to steal the silver Chaos Emerald from the vault.

All three Hooligans escape the shop on the Marvelous Queen, a speedy airbike that makes for an incredible getaway vehicle. The trio are an independent mercenary group that are always searching for something valuable to their eyes. There's Bean the Dynamite, a wild sports-enthusiast woodpecker that is nonchalant playing with his bomb in his sidecar. Bark the Polar Bear, the quiet but strong type that is handing the Chaos Emerald to his boss. Fang the Hunter, a weasel that goes by many names and excels in sniping and celebrating his victories with a hearty laugh. "That was a breeze!" Fang smiled happily.

"Sure feels like it." Bean joked, expressing himself to the cool wind blowing onto his feathers. "So who hired us to steal the Chaos Emerald again?" He asked his boss.

"Didn't say. Only promised a massive reward if we deliver it to the meeting place." Fang replied.

"Deliver what?" The silly Bean asked.

"The Chaos Emerald, you mook! Did you already forget what we risked our lives for?" Fang retorted, exasperated, as usual, with Bean's lunacy.

"No. Think you lost it." Bean claimed.

"Stop joking. It's right…" Fang looks back at the hand he was holding the Chaos Emerald, only to be humorously horrified to find it's gone, "WHERE DID IT GO?!"

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST- "Vengeance is Mine ...for Radical Highway"

Bark pats on his boss's shoulder to point him at the green-haired human thief fleeing across rooftops, much to Fang's boiling fury. "Too easy. Don't know why I bothered using my Semblance on those clowns." Emerald Sustrai joked, pressing on her comlink to speak with her mysterious partners, "This is Emerald with the Emerald. On my way to the meeting point."

"GIVE ME BACK MY EMERALD!" The furious Fang chases Emerald across the city, using his airbike to fire numerous lasers at the street rat.

"Not on your life, you weasel." Emerald snarked, retaliating with her Thief's Respite dual pistols to fend off her pursuers.

Bark decides to confront her personally, leaping off his seat to throw a powerful earth-quaking punch that causes Emerald to trip and lose the Chaos Emerald to the air. "I got it, I got it!" Bean shouted upon jumping off in an attempt to catch the falling gemstone.

"Nope!" Suddenly Emerald's partner, Mercury Black, kicks the woodpecker aside and catches the emerald with a smug smile that annoys his victim.

"Not cool, pal!" Bean battles this new enemy with bombs that Mercury dodges with both ease and style.

"Try 'n catch this instead!" Mercury quipped, using his robotic leg to kick a bomb back at Bean's face. "Score!" He fist pumps. A mistake he regretted the instant he watches Bean conjure a bomb too big for him to deflect. "Uh…" He uttered worriedly, with Emerald and even Bark stopping their fight to stare in fear at Bean's insanity.

Bean then hurls the massive bomb, blowing up the rooftop and scattering all four combatants as well as the Chaos Emerald. "Got it! See ya, losers!" Fang smiled upon catching the emerald. And just when he thought he was safe, his ride is caught by the firm grasp of a red symbiotic tendril that slams him onto the street. The emerald is thrown into the hands of Toxin, the black-and-red symbiote warrior that's dressed similarly to Spider-Man but has the original long hair of Cinder Fall. "Why you…What's the big idea gettin' in our way?" Fang scowled at his symbiotic rival.

"We just want the Emerald. We'll take your lives too if you keep pestering us." Toxin threatens him.

"Feeling's mutual." Fang retorted, threatening her with a popgun.

"A popgun? Seriously?" Toxin snarked.

"Seriously." Fang quips before firing a cork stopper that doesn't target Toxin, but the Chaos Emerald in her hand. It flies off, distracting her as she is further humiliated by Fang tail-bouncing off her face. It's the final race for the Chaos Emerald and both Team Toxin and the Hooligans try their humorous best to one up each other for it. Fang was in the lead until Toxin web-slams him down. Toxin took first before Bark's fist force her to eat concrete. Bark didn't get far ahead before Mercury sweeps him off his feet. A sudden bomb from Bean blows away Mercury. Emerald was also blown back from Bean's casual bomb throw. The very thing that prevents Bean from being so close into catching the emerald, is a rock that simply trips him into a faceplant.

The Chaos Emerald falls to the ground. Secured under the feet of the surprise contender, Juri Han. "Wow. Looks like you made it. Give or take 50 feet." Juri mocked both humiliated teams.

"Oh great. Who's this now?" Fang retorted, irritated by all these newcomers.

"One of your employers." Juri smirked, right as the cross-armed Grimadoom the Hedgehog warps to her side.

"Been a while, Cinder." Grimadoom greeted his old ally from the Multiversal Grand Prix.

"Grimadoom?" Toxin remarks in shock, taking off her symbiote to reveal the short-haired Cinder in her long, dark red dress. "I see. The Masters of Evil hired us." She realized with a calm demeanor.

"Both Team Toxin and the Hooligans. We had you go after the same Emerald as part of initiation. More importantly to have some fun with you." Grimadoom explained.

"Lovely." Fang retorted sarcastically, "So what does Eggman's crew want with us?"

"Nothing much. Just need your help to save the multiverse is all." Juri quipped.

"Wait what?!" Emerald retorted, flabbergasted as much as the rest of Team Toxin and the Hooligans.

"Save your questions for Doom. The sooner we head for Latveria, the sooner I can find some more fun in this new world." Grimadoom ordered, ready to take his new allies back to Masters HQ for the ultimate job.

Hell's Kitchen, Night Babylon District. New Vale City.

BGM-Sonic Battle OST-Night Babylon

"The Kingpin has a nightclub?"

Pit stood surprised behind the corner of a building in the Night Babylon district. Hell's Kitchen's reimagined neon-lit nightlife district, Night Babylon is full of stores, bars and casinos, and foremost amongst them being Kingpin's very own den of iniquity, Blood Rose Nightclub. There is quite a line for fun within the club, but Daredevil and the Dimensional Avengers are convinced it is hiding a corruptive evil in there.

"It's a front. It's connected to a warehouse supposedly filled with all his ill-gotten goodies." Daredevil explained, responding to Pit's question.

"Well, sure, he IS the Kingpin. I assume everything is a front…for a fast-food franchise." Spider-Man joked, only receiving funny looks from all his unamused friends. "You know, 'cause he's fat." He shrugs to shake off the embarrassment.

X peeps out of the corner to study the danger, which is in the form of intimidating guards blocking the only entrance into the club. "Security looks tough and there's ton of civilians to risk a fight. We'll have to sneak in and fast before Torchwick gets his hands on whatever Fisk has in there." X informed his friends.

"Got an idea." Twirling her staff, Palutena uses her god magic to disguise the team. Transforming their clothes into something fitting for nightclubs, like handsome dark suits for the boys and sexy colorful dresses for the ladies.

"Nice!" Sonic chuckles at his stylish attire.

"Lookin' good." Yang smiles at her friends' clubbing clothes.

"Want one?" Palutena asked Daredevil, who is the only one not in a disguise.

"No thanks. I'll be on patrol. There's more than just Torchwick threatening the city. Your team is capable of handling this." Daredevil denied, deciding to leave the team for the time being.

"Thank you for your help, Daredevil. Good luck." Lucina said with a grateful smile.

"Same to you." Daredevil smiles back, shaking Peter's hand before swinging back to his patrol over the neighborhood.

"I've got your back. Let's go!" Ruby proclaimed with a glare at their latest clubbing destination.

BGM-Tekken Tag Tournament 2 OST-Glow of the Oil

Thanks to their stylish disguises, the Dimensional Avengers walk into the club without fuss and are met with the sound of music blasting across the neon-lit dance floor, stylized with a casino and pinball theme. "This is what you call a 'nightclub'? It is very…loud." The confused Lucina commented, this being her first time visiting any modernized nightclub.

"There're better places in the city, trust me." Yang quipped.

"How do you know? New Vale was just born today." Sonic snarked.

Pit looks around a bit as this is also his first time visiting a nightclub. There are massive crowds dancing on the dancefloor. People drinking and playing pinball. And other, more inappropriate stuff that he is too young to understand. "Are some of us old enough to be here?" His innocence made him wonder.

"I guess. I've been to a lot of casino zones and no one age-restricted me." The young Tails replied.

"Are those A.I.M. Agents the DJs?" Peter noticed the two having crazy fun with the DJ Box, "Always knew Fisk was too cheap to hire real talent."

"Show us your moves on the dance floor, Jin." Amy teased.

"Gonna have to decline." Jin politely declined her offer. "Torchwick could be breaking into Kingpin's Private Gallery as we speak. Look for a backdoor out of the club. That's likely our best bet in finding the entrance." He said, more interested in foiling Torchwick's plans.

"Wouldn't hurt to ask around for more info." Weiss remarked.

"That's my cue to talk to the bartender. Be right back." Yang said while walking away from the group.

"Try not to get drunk and start a bar fight like the day we met!" Peter reminded her of their chaotic first meeting in Junior's Club.

"I was sober that day." Yang snarked with a smile.

"Even worse!" Peter retorted.

The heroes split up in search for the backdoor into Kingpin's Warehouse. They have to be careful as there are guards watching from every corner of the massive club, so they do their best to not look too suspicious. They mingle with others, grab drinks, boogie on the dancefloor that earns some fans, anything to keep themselves under the radar.

"Besides Spidey, who else here has fought Kingpin?" asked Knuckles, sparking a friendly chat with the likes of Peter, Blake, and Jin amidst their search for the backdoor.

"I have. Never personally, but I have stopped several of his operations over the summer." Blake answered, "Have someone like him in your world, Jin?"

"Closest that comes to mind is Heihachi Mishima, the previous owner of the Zaibatsu. A cruel man that is willing to sacrifice anything and anyone for power." Jin conversed.

"I could tell you stories about my Kingpin. I could also tell you fat jokes. That's usually what I do when I get toe to toe with the guy. Fat jokes. Drives him nuts." Peter chuckled.

"Indeed." Jin responded stoically.

"I suppose it's kind of childish…" Peter shrugged.

"Perhaps." Jin frowned, shooting glances for any backdoor.

"But I admit it, he's got this little vein on his forehead, and I love to see that thing pop when he gets all angry." Peter smiled.

"You enjoy inciting anger." Jin noted.

"Only in the bad guys. Makes them sloppy. Less likely to shoot me, you know?" Peter clarified.

"You know Kingpin is a criminal and have been fighting him for years. Why not destroy him?" Jin asked him.

"I know I've traced some criminal things back to him. But it's not my job to destroy anybody. Look, I'm a hero, not a destroyer. I stop the bad things, point the cops in the right direction, and let the legal system do its job." Peter replied, explaining why he doesn't kill criminals.

"Then it's doing a terrible job if he's still walking free." Knuckles scowled.

"It's not that simple. He controls more of the city than anyone realizes. Lawyers, police, judges, the city council, you name it and he's got leverage. Everyone knows he's crooked and they can't do a thing about it. His influence is nigh-unbreakable." Blake retorted.

"But someday he won't have enough lawyers and he'll be put away for good. And I'll be there, watching as they take him away." Peter glared with grim hope that he'll one day defeat Kingpin.

"I hope you are correct." Jin commented.

A moment later, the group consisting of Ruby, Lucina, and Palutena were exploring until they found what they have been searching for. The backdoor, guarded by two burly men that will hurt anyone trespassing. "There! Think that's the backdoor." Ruby announced.

"Guarded by security. What are we going to do?" Lucina grimaced.

"Simple. Charm 'em. Here're your drinks." Yang chimes in with drinks for Lucina and Palutena both.

"Wait…you want US to distract them?" Lucina realized with surprise at her ridiculous plan.

"You're among the oldest and the prettiest and have a habit of breaking things." Yang quipped.

"Accidently…" Lucina frowned shyly.

"This should be fun. Follow up after me." Palutena smiles at the sighing princess, who reluctantly goes through with the plan.

The two guards continue to look menacing with their arms crossed and their eyes scanning for anyone acting suspicious. They heard a cute laugh from nearby and turn to find Palutena twirling around her staff like a pole dancer. She shoots a sexy wink at them, arousing them into walking towards her and be intercepted by a Lucina pretending to be drunk. "Oh, I'm, uh…so sorry…!" Lucina said, purposely spilling her drink on a guard's clothes. "I don't feel so good…Drank too much…" She then purposely trips the other guard. "Where is the um…um…" Followed by karate chopping the first guard's neck to knock him unconscious. "I don't know what else to say…" Then she finishes the charade by falling atop the second guard in order to knock him out cold.

"Looks like you two had too much to drink. Better get you home." Yang joked, while the Dimensional Avengers drag the not-drunk ladies out through the backdoor.

Mission to find the Kingpin's Warehouse is complete. The Dimensional Avengers enter it with laughs shared amongst the group that distract them from a mysterious bat and a shadowy cat hiding on structures above them. "What a performance!" Sonic laughed.

"Gods, that was embarrassing." Lucina frowned, while Palutena returns everyone to their normal hero attire.

"I thought you did fine. Thanks to you, we made it into the warehouse undetected." X smiled, cheering up his fellow future fighter.

"Thank you, X." Lucina smiled, feeling better.

"This warehouse is a whole complex. Where is Willy's Wonky Gallery?" Spider-Man wondered in the midst of their walk.

"Don't know, but I am detecting these weird particles." Tails said with his Miles Electric handheld.

"His treasure isn't Pym Particles, is it? Be pretty lame." Spidey quipped.

"No, it's something else. Been picking up traces of it everywhere all day. Looks to be the residual energies of the Convergence." Tails responded.

"That Shuri girl from Wakanda mentioned the same thing. Whatever they are, they affected the Master Emerald in some way." Knuckles recalled his recent visit to Wakanda Island.

"We'll talk to Delta Team later. They're the science squad." Spidey commented.

BGM-Spider-Man: Web of Shadows OST-Kingpin Henchmen (Red Suit)

Their tour of the warehouse is then halted once a black-suited thug intercepts them. He was patrolling the area, so it took a double take for him to notice them by shouting, "Hey!"

"Uh oh." Spidey uttered as the team has been caught trespassing into Fisk's private facility.

"Spider-Man is here with other intruders! Get here ASAP!" The Fisk Thug shouted while whipping out an energy rifle, teaming up with other thugs that have arrived to fight the heroes.

"Looks like we're boogieing our way to his stash!" Ruby joked, brandishing her Crescent Rose for battle.

Several Fisk Thugs rain fire on the heroes with the Goddess that can reflect their projectiles with her Reflect Barrier. Doesn't stop one Thug that leaps over her defenses with surprising superhuman strength, which also supports his futuristic brass knuckles as he scatters the heroes with an explosive ground pound. Spidey flips back onto his feet to web-pull the thug into Jin's fists, knocking him out before the martial artist is shot in the back by a thug sporting a cybernetic arm cannon. Just as he's about to fire another shot, his weapon discharges on the roof instead thanks to Sonic's quick kick and the thug is taken down by Ruby's sweeping strike. More thugs with rifles appear and force most heroes to take cover, and push Pit into whipping out his Laser Staff to snipe those cornering them. "Never thought human thugs could get so tough!" Pit commented.

"Kingpin's forces were never this strong! They've been enhanced somehow! Turned into cyborgs!" Blake realized, barely overcoming three cyborg fighters.

"Their tech is advanced! Did the Convergence fuse them with it?" X noticed, providing cover fire for his friends.

"Don't think so. That's Ultron tech!" Spidey recognized, getting a good look of it while thrashing a goon against a wall, "I remember. Fisk got his hands on Kingtron's data. The fusion between Ultron and Kingpin from another timeline during the whole Time Eater debacle. Our Fisk must've used it to upgrade his men."

"Tech he wouldn't have if he didn't trick us into getting it! Time for some payback!" Sonic scowled, ricocheting off several goons at lightning speed with a Spin Dash.

The shadowy beauties that were spying on the heroes are still doing just that. They're not acting like foes but they aren't in a rush to lend a friendly assist to the heroes. They watch Spidey and Knuckles fending off cyborgs that give them somewhat of a struggle. Enough to convince the mystery girls exchange giggles before jumping into the fray. More thugs run to confront the red duo only to be intercepted by a bat-shaped bomb that hovers and explodes to knock them down. The Spider and Echidna are confused by the sudden support, made clearer when they spot a familiar Black Cat blitzing more goons with her deadly claws, kicking the last one into the air to be swiftly axe-kicked by a certain Mobian Bat. Both ladies stand side by side and face the boys they helped, with the Black Cat being the one to speak to them. "Quite the party you're throwing here, Spider. Bad luck when it crosses my path. Now I'm enticed to have fun with it." She smiled flirtatiously, with this Black Cat being Felicia Hardy and her batty partner being Rouge the Bat.

"Mind your own business, you thieves!" Knuckles scowled, refusing to work alongside the ever-troublesome anti-heroes.

"As rude as ever. Can't spare a thank you for the ladies that just saved your skin." Rouge teased while fighting more cyborgs alongside her treasure-hunting rival.

"We didn't need saving! Butt out!" Knuckles snapped angrily.

"Who invited Black Cat? She's not with STRIKE." Yang scowled, not the biggest fan of this ex-girlfriend of Peter.

"If Spider doesn't mind." Black Cat quipped.

"Don't you dare!" Yang scowled, shooting a threatening glance that unnerves the nervous webslinger.

"Uhhh…We'll talk if we survive this." Spidey said awkwardly.

"Then let's wrap this up. Lend me a hand, handsome." Felicia requests his assistance against some Fisk Thugs giving her trouble.

"Lend you two. With webs to make 'em nice and scratchable." Spidey quipped, webbing the thugs together.

"Always know how to please a cat. Ain't that right, BB?" Felicia jested whilst clawing the webbed goons into submission.

"Don't hear me arguing." Blake smirked.

With the world's greatest thieves joining the party, the heroes are on the verge of claiming another stylish victory. Rouge delivers a barrage of spinkicks that sends herself and her victim into the air. Spidey tags in, web-pulling the thug to be rodeoed throughout the warehouse and clearing it of all but just a few conscious goons. One thug throws a punch that Spidey backbends to avoid, leaving it up to Black Cat and her grappling hook to pull the crook into Knuckles's rising uppercut that is followed up by his powerful punch that rockets the mook onto the remaining guards, knocking them all out with just one incredible combo between defenders and thieves.

"Always appreciate the helping hand, ladies. But it doesn't come as a surprise to find the world's greatest thieves sneaking about. Here for Fisk's goods too?" Spidey questioned his new allies, now that things are calm for the moment.

BGM-Spider-Man 2: The Game OST-Black Cat Chase (Part 1)

"It's a new world. No better time to do heists while everyone's busy freaking out." Black Cat quipped with grinning gestures.

"Same with me. With a side of payback." Rouge claimed.

"Revenge on Kingpin? That's unusual coming from you." Amy remarked, glaring suspiciously at the dubious bat.

"Not really. When the Convergence happened, his club merged assets from my Club 'Rouge'. Tried to convince him to share the profit, but of course he's greedy and kicked me out from my half of the establishment." Rouge explained her personal stake in this.

"Sorry to hear that. Was hoping the Convergence weakened Kingpin, but it seems it only made him stronger." Spidey apologized, feeling more determined to defeat his nemesis.

"Fatso made a mistake. Gonna realize that the hard way after I steal his most prized possession." Rouge said.

"Know what it is? We're here to stop Torchwick from stealing it." Ruby asked the thieves.

"Your world's wannabe Kingpin? Didn't Green Goblin kill him or something?" Black Cat commented.

"Yeah. We have no idea how he came back to life though." Ruby nodded.

With a pondering expression, Felicia claims, "Hmm…Maybe it has something to do with Fisk's treasure. Intel claims he has an artifact that can control life and time. Powerful enough to challenge Kingpin for control of all crime in the city."

"But why would anyone want to bring back a loser like Torchwick?" Weiss wondered.

"Let's ask him. Rouge and I will lead you to the gallery." The playful Felicia gestured.

"Then leave us to leave with the artifact." Knuckles glared, still not trusting them.

"We'll play nice if you play nice." Rouge teased while walking ahead of the echidna.

The final pursuit of Torchwick is underway as Felicia and Rouge lead the heroes to where they will find him. It won't be long until they reach the Private Gallery, and as they near it, Blake's own cat ears twitch upon hearing a fight in the distance. "What's that I'm hearing?" She wondered.

"Us about to be beaten to the punch. Come on!" Black Cat frowned, urging the group to speed up.

They find the Private Gallery, with its entrance surrounded by bodies of many cybernetic Fisk Thugs that were either killed or knocked unconscious. One fat thug looks alive, wounded by conscious enough to be interrogated by Rouge, "Hey! What happened here?"

"…Like she was made of glass…We just ended up…firing on each other." The Fisk Thug coughed.

"Glass? Neo was revived too?" Yang realized, recalling her rivalry with Torchwick's partner-in-crime, Neopolitan.

"If I were you, I'd run. But then…I ain't no super hero…" The Fisk Thug advised, thinking they are no match for the criminal pair.

"Police and medics are on their way. Stay down while we take care of business." Ruby said, glaring at the entrance into the gallery.

BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Courthouse

The gallery houses Kingpin's private collection of antiquities. Legendary items that he no doubt stole from throughout the world. Two thugs are in charge to guard his most prized possession and fail miserably against a diminutive intruder with an umbrella for a weapon. She is Neopolitan, swiping aside or stabbing the guards to death in order to clear room for her gentleman partner to approach the legendary artifact. Roman Torchwick grabs ahold of the tablet right as he heard the heroes barging into the room.

"Stop right there, you two!" Ruby demanded.

"Isn't this a blast from the past. Long time no see, Red and Bug. Surprised to see me?" Torchwick greeted his old enemies that caused him so much trouble in Vale.

"Not really. I've seen losers come back from the dead for another butt-whooping." Spider-Man snarked.

The unamused Neo retorts with a scoffing expression while Torchwick quips with, "All this time and you still haven't learned to web up your trap."

"What did you just steal?" Ruby asked him.

"Oh this? Just my ticket to the top of the food chain." Torchwick smiled, taunting them with the tablet in his hand that looks shockingly familiar to both Spidey and Black Cat.

"Wait a sec…Spider, is that what I think it is?" Black Cat remarked.

"The Lifeline Tablet." Spidey recognized it in full, "I can't believe it. Thought it disappeared for good last time. Fisk must've found it again."

"What are we dealing with?" The curious Blake questioned.

"The Lifeline Tablet is an ancient Atlantean artifact that is said to hold the secret to eternal youth. But I also heard from Doctor Strange that it can turn the user into a near omnipotent immortal. The most vicious gang wars I stopped were fought over this thing." Spidey answered, reminiscing his adventures that involved this dangerous Tablet.

"And it's all mine to make me a millionaire. So glad that data I stole from Fisk wasn't hogwash after all." Torchwick quipped, revealing how he came to know about the Tablet and its location.

"You come back from the dead and the first thing you want to do is make a quick buck from a godlike relic? No wonder Goblin was quick to roast you." Rouge taunted him.

Both Neo and Torchwick assume furious expressions upon being reminded of their deaths by the hands of Green Goblin, with the latter retorting, "Don't remind me of that traitorous lunatic! Osborn made a fool out of me and Neo. Turning us into his 'Goblin Knight' and 'Menace' only to kill us when he couldn't pull his own damn weight! I don't know how we came back to life nor do I care. With this Tablet, I will rebuild my empire into the strongest. Overthrow the so-called Kingpin and get revenge on Osborn, Cinder, and everyone else that thought they were clever with me!"

BGM-BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle OST-One Thing (Neopolitan's Theme)

"That Tablet is too dangerous for any mortal hand! Surrender it to us!" Palutena demanded.

"I'd listen to her if I were you. That tablet once reduced a powerful crimeboss into non-existence! You just got your life back! Don't be stupid with it!" Spidey pleaded, attempting to reason with Torchwick.

"Appreciate the concerns. Unfortunately, I don't care." Torchwick snarked, firing an explosive round from his Melodic Cudgel cane that hits the heroes. Ruby leaps out of the smokescreen first to slash at the criminals that shatter like glass because of Neo's illusion Semblance. The real thugs make their getaway, only for Neo to be caught by Black Cat's grappling hook and thrown onto her partner.

"Aww, the wannabe Kingpin wants to run away with his wittle girlfriend. She ever tell you how much of a pedophile you are?" Black Cat taunted them, whilst pairing up with Ruby for this cross tag battle.

"Your meddling ends now!" Torchwick proclaimed, with both him and Neo shooting enraged glares at their opponents.

Their fight truly starts with Black Cat slashing at Neo with her claws, but her opponent dodges most of her attacks by using her acrobatic skills. Just as Ruby lines up a shot with her rifle, Neo uses her Semblance again, leaving behind an illusion that shatters as the bullet hits. The illusion fades as swiftly as Roman appearing to fire several rounds at both heroes, knocking the huntress off her feet and stunning the cat for Neo to throw around then kick to a wall. Neo smiles all smugingly, before realizing too late of the explosive trap Felicia planted on her. The silent illusionist is knocked aback in pain and frustration at Felicia, who taunts her with a smirking, "Speak up. Looks like you didn't like that."

The fighting then intensifies to an irritating degree once an army of Fisk Cyborgs suddenly barge in with lasers firing everywhere, forcing all heroes and villains to move out of the way. "Kill them! Don't let 'em get away with the tablet!" A Fisk Cyborg ordered his men.

"Excuse me, this is a private beatdown!" Spidey quipped, web-throwing some of Fisk's antiques at the crooks.

"No manners at all! Better late than never to teach you some!" Rouge joked whilst confronting a squadron on her own.

Her signature Screw Kick smashes the bat through the horde before another attempts to surround her. Rouge throws a handful of counterfeit gems at them, piercing their cybernetics despite their small size and weakening them for the likes of Amy, Weiss, and X to defeat. One thug with an arm cannon forces the bat to take flight and counter by using her voice to create an ultrasonic wave that strikes him down.

In the midst of the chaotic battle, Tails's handheld detects something intriguing. The little fox finds cover to studies it and quickly understands it has something to do with the Lifeline Tablet, "It's those weird particle readings again. Lots of it was infused into the tablet. And it looks like they were active not too long ago…" Suddenly, he has a eureka moment, exclaiming, "That's it!", before announcing his discovery to his friends, "Guys! I figured out how Torchwick and Neo came back to life!"

"How?" Sonic retorted.

"It's the Tablet! Its energies resonated with the Convergence! The distortions activated its effects which triggered a widespread resurrection, reviving them and who knows how many other people around the world!" Tails proclaimed, stating the Lifeline Tablet is responsible for the villains' revival.

"Told you so." Felicia quipped, colliding kicks with Neo.

"So this tablet isn't as bogus as they thought." Torchwick realized.

"Trillions of innocent people DIED when our worlds collided, and you two losers are already wasting your second chance pulling the same stunts!" Ruby scowled, using her Semblance to dash at the crimeboss.

"Life ain't fair, Red." Torchwick snarked, knocking her to the ground using a combination of various attacks.

"Neither is death." Ruby threatened him coldly, leg-sweeping him into her backflip kick so she can stand back up.

"Oooh. A decent threat." Torchwick smiled with respect for her attitude.

Ruby dashes at Roman again, who this time simply leans forward and allows Neo to vault over his back and kick her away. Black Cat tags in by firing her grappling hook to graze Neo. She and Roman have mere seconds to appreciate this fact before the thief slams them with a grapple-powered dropkick. An attack that merely crushes an illusion so the real criminal pair can double-smack her through and be buried under priceless artifacts. Felicia is disoriented and under Neo's mercy, who gives her a malicious smile while taking out the bladed part from her umbrella that she wants to finish her off with.

Ruby is just as weakened. Her Aura is broken and her eyes are staring directly at Torchwick's point-blank weapon barrel. "No more Aura for a quick getaway. Game over, kid." He declared coldly. But before he pulls the trigger, a mysterious new power awakens within Ruby. She teleports away from his fatal shot as a burst of rose-like energy, surprising the heck out of Roman as he shouts, "What?! How did she…?!", before Ruby warps behind him with a ferocious roundhouse kick that sends him flying onto Neo before she kills Felicia.

"Whoa! When did Ruby audition to become Nightcrawler?" Spidey quipped, still in the midst of fighting Fisk Thugs.

"Was that her Semblance? Did it evolve?" Weiss speculated.

"No. This is something else entirely. Another relation to those Convergence particles. They're inside Ruby too!" Tails detected with his handheld.

"Don't know how I'm doing this but I am loving every second of it!" Ruby smiled, putting her new Petal Warp power to good use in this final round with Torchwick and Neo.

A slash to knock him back. A teleport to get in closer. A kick that sends him flying. Ruby has completely stolen the advantage from her nemesis, who grows extra enraged after the recovered Black Cat flips in to steal his cane. "That's enough out of this." Felicia then snaps his weapon in half and throws them at another Neo illusion. The real illusionist tries another ambush to her back, but this time Cat has a trick up her own sleeve. Rouge just kicks a Fisk Thug across the room, and if she was suddenly cursed with bad luck, he collides with Neo just before she struck the smiling feline. "Aww, what a shame. Should've told me you hate fighting black cats. Such bad luck." The bad luck-powered Black Cat taunted, before defeating Neo with an infuriating spinkick to the face.

Fisk Cyborgs are falling like dominoes by the other heroes and Torchwick is weaponless against Ruby. He has grown exhausted, flabbergasted by the sudden turn of events. In disbelief, he exclaims, "This isn't possible! I can't lose again! This isn't fair!"

"It's just like you said. Life ain't fair." Ruby quipped before delivering the finisher, striking him from every direction thanks to her teleportation before getting into the position to fire a powerful rifle shot that knocks the Valean crimeboss out cold and lying down on the ground.

BGM End

Once again the Dimensional Avengers are victorious. They stand triumphantly around the beaten bodies of gangsters that wanted the Lifeline Tablet for themselves. Speaking of, it is still in Torchwick's possession. With him unconscious, Ruby is free to take it from him while Yang celebrates their win. "Well, alright alright alright! We won one. High five!" Yang gestures to her serious teammates, with Jin just giving her a funny look. "You can't give a sister a high five? One of these days you will." She joked.

"Thank you! I was lookin' for that!" said by a man in a red cloak that just teleported in from nowhere.

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Suitable Opponent

His sudden appearance plus his guns blazing surprised the heck out of the heroes. They all did whatever they could to avoid his bullets that are making a mess of the gallery. It was up to Sonic to stop this by speeding past all his bullets and unleashing a ground-cracking Spin Attack that forces the mysterious criminal to warp away if he didn't want to be struck.

"That was sudden! Who the hell was that?" Jin grimaced.

"He calls himself, 'The Hood'." Black Cat answered.

"So all the good names were taken?" Pit quipped.

"Don't underestimate him. That cape and hood let him teleport anywhere in the world." Spider-Man elaborates about their newest enemy.

"Wonder if my new power can go that far." Ruby commented, feeling envious.

"Intel says he is a serious pretender to Kingpin's throne." Rouge stated.

Ruby heard her, leaving herself distracted for The Hood to ambush her. He surprises her with a teleporting punch across her face and swipes the Lifeline Tablet from her, keeping the other heroes at bay with his guns until he warps away with the greatest danger to the world currently. "Darn it!" Sonic expresses his frustration at their failure.

"OK, then…good job everybody." Spidey joked, while Lucina helps Ruby back to her feet.

"We just gave The Hood the edge he needs to take this entire city." Black Cat proclaimed.

"Ain't gonna happen. Someone, somewhere knows where this guy hangs his cape at night." Yang glared with hope they can still save the city.

"We need to go to Fury with this." X suggested.

"Actually…" Spidey then gets curious looks from his friends as he smirks with a spectacular idea that will help them find The Hood, "I think I know who we should talk to first…"

BGM-Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Gallery

KFX Here: In the original story, Torchwick and Neo were revived by the Masters of Evil. In hindsight that didn't make much sense since none of them really knew or cared about them. Makes more sense to me for the Lifeline Tablet to revive them, and perhaps some other underutilized villains that were killed off too soon. Anyway, Ruby has a new power. Based on her teleportation power from the Justice League/RWBY crossover movies. This will be explained in the next chapter, but for now, take this as a hint of how characters are "balanced" in this Unified World.
