Today was a day that had everyone buzzing. The reason is that today was the day of the Championship duel. The world looked forward to the duel between Rainbow Dash and the World Champion. At CHS, the students were also making chatter of their own. Thanks to Pipp's tweets and livestream announcement, she spread the word that Principal Celestia would be holding a giant screening of the event tonight and, as a treat, no school the following day.

Everyone began to plan for tonight as this was a match that everybody would see. Well, almost everyone.

"So, who's ready to see some action-packed dueling tonight!" said Zipp as she was excited and began to punch the air like an action hero.

"I am!" said Sunny as she was looking forward to seeing what a CHS graduate could do in a pro setting. "I've always wanted to see a pro duelist compete. Plus, knowing Ms. Dash is an alumnus is even better."

"Tonight's gonna be a banger," said Hitch.

"It's trending on all the platforms," said Pipp as she showed off her many accounts, each with the #Championshipduel as number 1.

"So, we're all gonna meet in the auditorium and watch it. Izzy, make sure you bring snacks."

"No, problem," said the girl as she saluted Zipp.

"I'll bring some smoothies," stated Sunny.

"I'll... see if my brother wants to come. I doubt it, but I'll try," said Roll as she sighed. The girl got up from her table and walked away.

"What is up with Mario? First, he doesn't seem to care that he and his sister might not be here much longer. If they lose their tag duel, they're expelled. And now, he doesn't want to see what could be the biggest match in Duel Monsters history?" said Zipp.

"Maybe, we shouldn't pry. Best to let Roll handle this. She's his sister, after all. If anybody knows what's going on with Mario, it's her." said Sunny.

"Tonight promises to be one the biggest events in Duel Monsters' history. Tonight in the Manehatten Center, two titans will do battle, and only one will rise to the top. This is a duel you don't want to miss, folks! Stay tuned!" said the announcer on the TV in Spitfire's office.

The woman placed the remote on her desk as she leaned back in her chair. Her feet propped up as she looked at the screen. The coach looked at the image of Rainbow's portrait as she smiled.

"Well, Crash. You got your chance; make the most of it. 'Cause you never know when you might get another one." stated Spitfire. Her phone, which was also on her desk, began to ring. She grabbed it and answered it. "Hello?"

The city of Manehatten was a city that never slept. Based on how much activity there was all day, sometimes even busier at night. Many tall towers and vehicles were shown. One of those tall buildings was a hotel, which housed many guests. In the VIP suite, an individual was shown lying on his bed with his arms spread out. The person had headphones in his ear as his eyes closed and listened to the tunes coming through his device. He opened his eyes and sat up on his bed; he took the headphones off and hung them around his neck.

The person took a deep breath as he looked around the room. The room was the VIP suite only rented out for those with money. Which, for him, wasn't a problem. He looked to his right to see the balcony that was a part of the room as it was open; the sights of the tall buildings, the sky, and the sounds of the cars passing by stuck with him.

"Tonight's the night," said the person.

He looked at the watch on his wrist when his phone began to go off. He looked at it and saw a message from his agent as she informed him he was she was in the lobby. With that, the person got up and wore his usual attire: a black V-neck t-shirt with white hemming and black shorts with gray pockets held on by red straps. His shorts were tight around his calves. He wore a long black hooded jacket with red hemming, gray pockets with white hemming, and red flannel flaps held down by a series of yellow buttons, which he sometimes wore like a cape. He put on a necklace given to him by someone as it was the image of his star monster. And the last thing to complete his look was a cap as he put it on his head and adjusted it.

One glance in the mirror as he slotted his deck into the deck box on his belt. He turned and began to exit the suite as he went downstairs. The elevator opened up, and waiting for him was his agent.

"Hope I didn't keep you waiting, Juniper."

"Not at all," said the woman to her client. She approached him, adjusted his shirt, and patted his shoulder to eliminate wrinkles. "There we go. All set?"

"Yup," said the man as he and Juniper began to exit the lobby.

A limo was waiting for them, and the driver opened the door. The pair entered the car as the door shut behind them. The driver got in and began to take them to their destination. As they were heading to their destination, the World Champ looked out the window as he saw Starshine Boulevard and how not only was it a main attraction for Manehattan but the many advertisements and posters promoting his duel tonight with Rainbow.

"Everyone is expecting this duel to be a good one," said Juniper to her client.

"Aren't they all," chuckled the World Champ.

"Nervous?" asked Juniper.

"Of course I am. But that's part of the job that I like."

"You'll do great like you always do."

"Excuse, madam, we're here," said the driver as he stopped the car.

The place the limo stopped was the place where the press conference was about to start. The duel was a few hours away, and the media wanted the two to have a chance to exchange some words and thoughts ahead of their duel to help excite this event. Cameras were rolling as they were waiting for the two competitors. The limo door opened as out came Isaac and saw the many reporters being held back by the security. He stuck his hand out to help Juniper get out as the pair began to walk down the aisle and into the building.

The conference table was set up as two chairs next to each other. Cameras were rolling as a crowd of reporters and investigators were seated. Soon the moderator for the press conference came out. The main camera that was livestreaming this for all to see focused on him. All the monitors came on at CHS and showed the press conference about to start; they all stopped to watch.

"Good afternoon, everyone. Tonight promises to be a special event. For tonight, two duelists will go out there and leave everything on the line, not just for our entertainment. But for a chance to be the best. Now, I want to allow these two competitors to express themselves. To give their thoughts on what they're thinking ahead of tonight's duel in just a few hours. So with that being said, let me introduce to you, the person challenging the World Champ. She's currently the third-ranked duelist. Please welcome, Ms. Rainbow Dash."

The moderator pointed to his left as out came the girl as she waved to the cameras and crowd. She shook hands with the moderator before taking a seat as a water bottle was placed before her.

"And her opponent. The current World Champion of Duel Monsters, please welcome, the Prince, Isaac."

Out came the champ as he, too, acknowledged the crowd and cameras. He shook the moderator's hand and sat down with Juniper standing behind her client. He and Rainbow glanced at each other as the history between the pair was on full display.

"Alright, so..."

"Don't worry, I got this!" said Rainbow as she cut off the moderator. "The faster we do this, the faster the countdown to a new champ."

"Oh, it's gonna be like that, huh?" said Isaac as he looked at Rainbow. "I didn't think it was gonna be like any other press conference, but you're about to change my mind real quick, Dash!" stated the champ in a firm tone, glaring at his opponent.

"Look, Isaac. I mean, no disrespect with that last comment. You've carried the title as the top duelist with all the weight that comes with it. The responsibility, the legacy of all past champions, and you deserved to be recognized for that. You do!" said Rainbow as the crowd clapped and appreciated the World Champion's actions. "But listen tonight, you can feel it. It's a changing of the guard, man. I am taking that title much further than you ever could. Just like I took the Wonderbolt Superstars to the World Cup on three occasions and am a two-time winner of the Duel Monsters Heritage Cup. So listen respectfully; in a few hours, you are coming in second to me."

"Alright, well, I don't agree with that last bit. But I do agree with you on one thing. You took your team to World Cup thrice, and you are a two-time winner of the Heritage Cup and elevated it because you knew you weren't ready for this. And that's fine because that's not the Rainbow Dash I want to face. I want the Rainbow Dash that comes out here, and these people get up on their feet. I want to face the Rainbow Dash that comes here, and these people chant your name. I wanna face the Rainbow Dash that beat Indigo Zap. I want the duelist that deep down, in her heart and her freaking soul, knows you are ready!" shouted Isaac as he got up from his seat and stared down Rainbow. "Rainbow don't miss. I think it's fitting. Cause come tonight, there's a first for everything," stated Isaac as he sat back down.

"Alright, Isaac. Tonight. Here's what I want! Actually, here's what I don't want! I don't want Isaac with all the charity he does. I don't want Isaac in a tux going to some photo shoot or fancy party. I don't want Isaac, who's smiling on all the posters for the little kids. I don't want him. Leave him back in the hotel room. I want the Isaac that runs through walls. I want Isaac, who won the Yugioh World Class trophy. I want the Isaac, who retired Celestia and Luna! As I say these things, how can I deny your greatness? Because when you're that guy, you're unstoppable!" said Rainbow as she stood up and stared at the man.

"Okay. Which is gonna make it oh so much sweeter when you give me everything you got, and it still ain't good enough," smiled Dash as she sat back down. "And I don't say this 'cause it sounds good, Isaac; I say this because it's true. I am HER."

"Look, you are HER. I believe you. I believe that you're HER, but you gotta show me! You gotta show me that HER isn't something you put on the front of a t-shirt or some arbitrary thing you made up to further your character. You gotta show me that means something! Because if you do, I promise you, you'll get everything you want out of this, and I will get everything I want. I'll get the smooth, cool Rainbow Dash. The Rainbow Dash game that everyone here has come to grow and love. Look, Rainbow, this match has the potential to be one of the biggest matches in Duel Monsters' history."

"And it will be, Isaac."

"You've won your set of accomplishments."

"And you've won them as well. Okay, you've been at the top of this game for nearly 15 years. You went undefeated for five years during your first reign as World Champion. Look, Isaac, we both need to understand this is big. There's alot of pressure on us; there is alot of eyes on this match. But you know what the truth is, Isaac? That is nothing new to either one of us! So I know that tonight, I'm gonna deliver. I need to make sure that you do as well."

"I guess something's gotta give."

"I'm not giving an inch, Isaac," said Rainbow as she grabbed the contract and signed it.

"Neither am I, Rainbow," stated Isaac as he caught the contract that Dash slid over and signed.

Both duelists then stood up as they stared each other down. The crowd before them and all the eyes watching their screens waited to see what would happen next. Both duelists kept their eyes locked on the other as they each stuck their hand out to shake and stood there.

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. Tonight, Rainbow Dash vs. Isaac for the title of World Champion," said the moderator as he signaled for the broadcast to end. The final image was the two duelists staring into each other's eyes as the feed was cut off.

"Wow! Talk about intense," said Zipp after seeing what went down at the press conference. "Now, I want to see this match more than before."

"This is gonna be a good fight," said Izzy as she was munching on a bag of marshmallows with a smile.

Meanwhile, Roll was standing outside the door to her brother's room. The girl was attempting to convince her older sibling to join everybody else in watching the big duel that would happen.

"Hey, bro. You there? It's me, your hermana." said the girl as she waited for some response but nothing. "Listen, me and everybody else are gonna watch the duel. You're welcome to join and get some inspiration for our tag duel."

The door remained there as the teen continued to look at it.

"Okay then. Well, if you feel like coming, you're more than welcome. I love you, big brother." said Roll as she took something from her pocket and looked at it. The girl then slid it partway through the door before walking away. The envelope that she left was there before it disappeared.

The night was here. The moon was up high in the sky as the atmosphere started setting. Tons of people were shown lining up around a building as they were all looking to hurry in and fill the place. The merch stands handing out t-shirts and other merch for the kids and their parents. All in preparation for the massive duel that was about to go on.

"What a sight to behold, everyone!" said one of the MCs for the match.

"Everybody is packing into the Manehattan Center for this colossal duel. We are just moments away from what could be one of the biggest matches in Duel Monsters' history!" said the other MC. "Will we see a new champion, or will the Prince continue to reign over his kingdom?"

At CHS, the students were all gathering to watch the giant screening. Sleep bags and pillows spread among the room as the teens looked forward to a dueling night.

"Snacks."

"Check," responded Izzy as she munched on a bag of chips.

"Smoothies."

"Right here," said Sunny as she began to hand them out to the others.

"Social media influence."

"That's me," responded Pipp in a sing-like voice as she tweeted about the match.

"Great, we got everything!" said Zipp as she sat down with her friends.

"Hey, y'all," stated Roll as she showed up in her PJs.

"Hey, Roll. I'm assuming your brother isn't coming?" asked Sunny.

"Yes," confessed the girl.

"I'd say that's a good thing. I don't need his sour mood to ruin this match for me," said Zipp as she focused on the screen and had her tongue out like a dog anticipating his next treat.

Luna was sitting in a chair as she was flipping through a book. Soon she was joined by Celestia, who also brought her own chair. However, Luna looked at what her sister was wearing.

"Really, sister?"

"We said we would be wearing match shirts," stated Celestia.

"But I was going for Ms. Dash. I have her to win," stated Luna, showing off her t-shirt with Rainbow's picture.

"Well, I'm sporting Isaac's merch," stated the older sister as she showed off her t-shirt to show who she was supporting.

"Oh, please. You don't honestly think that he will win, now?"

"I don't think I know, Lulu. I guarantee it," glared Celestia at her younger sister.

Luna also did the same as the two siblings were acting like kids.

"Wanna wager?" asked Luna, glaring at her sister.

"Same stakes as always," stated Celestia.

"Damn right, Tia!"

"You're on, Lulu!"

Both sisters shook the other's hand as Celestia sat in her chair to watch the screening. They were determined to not lose the bet and suffer whatever the other had in store for them. Everybody was on edge, especially one of the competitors.

Rainbow was shown sitting down in the locker room. She sat on a bench as she tried to get her mind to focus. She then strapped on her duel disk before reaching for her deck. Dash glanced it over as she fanned her entire cards out, the duelist trying to make some last-minute adjustments as any card could determine the outcome of this duel. Especially with who her opponent was, she couldn't afford to make any mistakes. One slip-up, and that was it. The door to the room opened as Rainbow looked up and was surprised by who she saw.

"Don't screw this up now!" said Indigo Zap.

"Please, I'm not you," countered Rainbow with a smirk.

"Funny," scoffed Indigo. "Good luck, though. Kick his ass for me."

"Don't worry, I plan to," smiled Dash as Indigo did the same.

Soon another person stood beside Indigo.

"You made it," said Rainbow.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" said the official as the crowd cheered even louder.

"It's starting!" yelled Zipp as she hugged her pillow tighter.

"Are you ready!" shouted the ref as more roars happened. "Then it's time."

"Here we go!" expressed Zipp as everybody in CHS turned to the giant screen.

It all went black before a video package began to play as some narration set the tone.

(Cold Open)

The opening image showed Isaac sitting down as he spoke.

"This match is like destiny. Rainbow and I came in the same class. These two top duelists that are undeniable."

The images of Rainbow and Isaac were shown before changing to Rainbow sitting down and talking to the camera.

"Isaac, do you know what it takes to be a king? I don't think you do; maybe that's why you're a prince, not a king. Heavy lies the head that wears the crown."

It cut to black before a montage of Rainbow's accomplishments played out as narration was read.

"Make some noise for the Breakout Star of the Year!"

"The World Cup medal winner!"

"The two-time Heritage Cup winner!"

"HER!"

The words: The Challenger - Rainbow Dash flashed on the screen for all to read as it switched back to Rainbow speaking to the audience.

"This has been a whole different training camp up to this point. I'm not just doing my regular tactics. I'm not just doing that. I'm covering every aspect of the game. I'm hitting those ropes a little harder and taking fewer steps. I'm making fewer mistakes. We worked out for four hours, went to the club, and partied for three hours; after-party, I chose not to go."

It showed Rainbow working out and practicing with the rest of her teammates. Soon a DJ was shown playing some music in the club. After that, Rainbow and her teammates were outside the club as they were looking to go to the after-party.

"Hey, Soarin, you all go do your things, guys; listen, I gotta go to work."

"What?" said Fleetfoot to their captain.

"Hey, guys, I'm locked. I got this match with Isaac coming up. I'm locked, so I gotta go to work." Rainbow told the rest of her teammates. "Y'all do your thing."

"Alright," stated Thunderlane as Rainbow gave a quick bro to Soarin as they all said goodbye to their captain and began to walk away to continue the party.

Rainbow chuckled, seeing her teammates leave to go have fun. She then took off her shades, took a deep breath, and shook her head. She was focusing her mind before walking away. As she narrated, it showed her going to a gym to work out.

"I don't need to go. I'll celebrate when it's finished. I'll celebrate when I'm the champ. I'll celebrate when I'm at the top of the mountain. The job is not done; it's far from done."

It showed Rainbow going hard in the gym while tuning her mind and body to prepare for her match.

"It's funny 'cause I've been doing it. I've been in the gym, I've been training, I've been not going to the clubs and not going to the party scene and being focused on this." chuckled Isaac.

After it showed Rainbow working out, it quickly transitioned to Isaac walking toward a gym. He was also shown working out as it cut back and forth between talking to the camera and working out.

"I train weights two and a half hours a day; I'm on the dueling field two and a half hours a day because that's what it takes to be the champion, to be the guy."

The words now flashed to show: The Champion - Isaac, for all to see his side.

"Many people think matches are won and lost on that field; they're won and lost in the weight room, but in my opinion, I think they're won in here, the film room."

It showed Isaac walking in and sitting down as he watched a video of Rainbow and talked about what was going on in his mind.

"There's nothing better to do to prepare yourself than to watch film. She's fast, she's gonna try to get in my head, she's gonna try to blow me up, she's gonna try to get me to implement her game plan and take me to deep water. But I mean, the reality of it is I've been taken to deep water so many times, it's become my home."

A transition occurred to show a montage of Isaac running through every single of his competitors that he'd ever faced.

"I have carried this game on my back for almost 15 years. This is everything to me. This game means everything to me. I respect everyone who has been a champion before me. I respect all the great legends that came before me. But there is a difference; I am the most dominant champion of all time."

"How can you not be blown away by what this man has done?"

"Isaac is the present, and he's paving the way for the future!"

It then cuts back to Rainbow talking to the audience.

"In our match, I'm gonna take some weight off your shoulders when I knock your head off and take that crown. Because I am HER, and the kingdom of Duel Monsters is mine. Now give me my fucking crown!" shouted Rainbow with intensity.

It cuts to Isaac addressing the audience.

"This one is a little bit more special; it means a little more to me."

"Isaac, I don't think you understand. I don't think you want it the way I want it. I don't think you're willing to go to the limit I'm willing to go to for this championship!" Rainbow expressed.

"When I get going and that 4,3 speed, and then I knock her in the center of the field, and she doesn't know what planet she's on or where she is, she'll see."

"I'm gonna take everything from you, Isaac! And I'm gonna take it because it's mine! After all, I am HER!"

"And I promise I will walk in, and I will walk out, still champion!" stated Isaac.

"Who will stand? Who will deliver? Who will be Duel Monsters champion?!" said a narration with fury as the last image of the video package showed the tense handshake Rainbow and Isaac had at the press conference as they stared at each other.

(End of Cold Open)

The building was shown with the crowd cheering as soon the lights turned off and everything went dark. It was pitch black as the only lights were from people's phones. Soon a single spotlight shined down as someone was standing underneath it. The person lifted their head as it was revealed who it was.

"Coach!" shouted Zipp and Hitch as they spat out some of the smoothies they were drinking. Both teens were stunned to see Spitfire on TV as the woman had a microphone in hand and began to speak.

"For years, she's put the world on notice. Breakout Star of the Year. Two-time Heritage Cup winner. World Cup winner. Banger after banger, banger after banger, banger after banger, banger after banger." said Spitfire.

Behind her, several spotlights began to turn on as two rows of people stood off to the side. The people were, in fact, Rainbow's teammates as they all stood at attention; the screen behind them all displayed portraits of Rainbow and her list of accomplishments. Above them, digital jerseys dropped from the rafters as they had the names of some of the biggest duelists Rainbow had defeated over her career.

"This is what I need. I need everyone to get out of their seat. I need everyone to get on their feet. Everyone stand and watch HER... deliver!" shouted Spitfire as music began to play.

[Rainbow now appeared behind Spitfire as the lights came back on. The music accompanied her as she stood there. She was sporting new gear as it had the colors of CHS with a jersey shirt that sported her number during high school.]
Cause I'm the greatest,
ain't no hatin',
I'm the best here
You want your shot,
well I guess you wait 'til next year (ha)

[Rainbow began to walk forward as she passed by her teammates and friends while they all watched their captain going into battle. She soon stopped near Spitfire, and the two did a quick handshake before they hugged. Spitfire gave some final words of encouragement to Rainbow as she fired her up and patted her shoulders; Rainbow began to walk down toward the dueling field as the crowd cheered.]
I'm at the top,
get respect while I get feared (what?)
Who got a problem, huh?
Tell 'em to step here.

"Talk about making a statement. Rainbow Dash showing no fear as she walks to the field, where she hopes to be the one to dethrone the champ!" said one of the MCs.

"When Rainbow shoots, Rainbow don't miss. That isn't just some catchphrase she says; it's a way of her. It's her way of life; she is calling her shot. Will it be enough? Will we finally have a new king to sit on the throne? Can she slay the champ, or will the Prince continue to reign throughout his kingdom!" spoke the other MC.

"And speaking of the Prince, here he comes."

The lights dimmed a bit as a drum sound was heard. On the stage, there was a drummer as he was banging on his drums. Soon another drum set was shown as the drummer also began to play. Soon another, then another, and eventually, five drummers played in unison as they did a collective solo. The people in the building felt the beats as they began clapping their hands in time.

The crowd could be heard through the screen as even the CHS students, Celestia and Luna, clapped their hands. Soon the drum began to pick up the pace as they ended with one huge bang. The crowd began to cheer and whistle at the performance. A beat began to start as music began to echo throughout the building, as the rest of the drums began to play to the song.

[Smoke was shown as coming up from the floor was a platform. On it was someone who had their back turned to the crowd. They turned as it was none other than Isaac as the World Champ smiled.]
Adrenaline, in my soul
Every thought out of control
Do it all to get them off their feet
Crowd is here, about to blow
Waitin' for me to start the show
Out the curtain, lights go up, I'm home
(Whoa!)

[The champ walked forward as he took in the sight before him. The crowd went nuts as they saw their champion. He put his arms out as he and everyone sang in unison when the "Whoa!" part of the song came. Fireworks went off behind him as it got the crowd even hotter.]
Lights go down, I'm ready now
Tear this roof off for the town
Gonna give 'em what they came to see
Hear the crowd on their toes
Ready for me to start the show
Out the curtain, lights go up
I'm home (whoa)

"A fitting entrance for a World Champion. The Prince has reigned over his kingdom for nearly 15 years. The youngest recipient of the Yugioh World Class trophy. Breakout Star of the Year. Duelist of the Year. Match of the Year. Rivalry of the Year. Duelist of the Decade. 5x World Champ and his first reign lasted five years. Those are just some of Isaac's short and young career accomplishments."

"Truer words were never spoken, bud. Isaac still has tons of mileage in his career. And we talk about the way of life that describes Rainbow; well, here's what describes Isaac. And that is, if you come for the Prince, you best not miss!"

Isaac made it to the field where Rainbow was waiting. He approached her as another "Woah" rang out as he and the crowd did the same thing as before and sang it in unison. The two duelists were now staring at each other.

"Alright, you two, back it up," said the official to both duelists as he tried to separate them.

But they didn't. Rainbow and Isaac were staring at each other as they sized each other up. The crowd was electric as they became louder with each passing second. The two lifted their heads up and looked around as the energy was uproar. The crowd was split down the middle as they chanted. For five full minutes, the crowd was going strong.

Both duelists looked around as they soaked in the atmosphere. The biggest match possible was definitely living up to the hype. Rainbow and Isaac continued to stare as if not to show weakness. Soon Dash spoke.

"When Rainbow shoots,"

"Rainbow don't miss!" shouted the crowd as they finished her sentence.

"When you come for the Prince,"

"You'd best not miss!" shouted the crowd as they finished Isaac's catchphrase.

And with that, both finally broke their stare. They each walked to their respective sides as they pulled out their decks. The pair slotted them into their Duel Disk as their devices came online. Rainbow Duel Disk projected a sky blue card tray of energy as Isaac had a golden card tray.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel."

"Let's duel!" shouted both competitors with vigor in their voices.

Isaac's Life Points: 8000-
Rainbow's Life Points: 8000-

The two had their portraits on the screen as they flashed before it stopped on the World Champ to signal he got the first move. Their auto shufflers kicked in as they shuffled their decks, and the pair drew their opening hand.

Turn 1: Isaac (Hand 5)

"Ready, Rainbow!" shouted Isaac.

"Bring it!" yelled Dash.

"Then prepare yourself. Because it's time to duel!" shouted the champ as he drew his card. "I'll start by summoning Beta the Magnet Warrior(1700/1600)." Out came a yellow figure with a body about halfway between its fellows. "Next, I'll lay one card facedown and end my turn.

Turn 2: Rainbow (Hand 5)

"Stand back; it's time for me to take over. And I'm starting off with a classic. U.A. Midfielder(1200/1000)!" A portal appeared before her, and her monster jumped into a crouch, an athlete with spiked brown hair and glowing silver and green armor. "You know what comes next, by returning my Midfielder to my hand, I can substitute it with another monster. So here's Dreadnought Dunker(2500/1800)!" A muscular basketball player in dark blue and black pants and a thick silver and orange chest piece appeared before Dash.

"Now to attack!" instructed Rainbow.

Dreadnought Dunker held up a hand, an orb of blue energy gathering from its fingertips. Dreadnought Dunker grinned, spun in place, and hurled the ball of energy it held across the field. The orb struck Beta the Magnet and blew right through it, leaving a gaping hole before it exploded. Isaac didn't flinch as he saw his monster was destroyed.
Isaac's Life Points: 7200-

"Nothing but net!" exclaimed Rainbow for dealing the first attack. "And now Dreadnought Dunker's ability kicks in. Since it dealt you damage, it can destroy one card on your side of the field. So your facedown is gone as well!"

Isaac's facedown also exploded as it was gone. However, the World Champion had a smile.

"Exactly what I wanted."

"Huh?" said Rainbow.

"Behold my Chaos Scepter Blast!" exclaimed Isaac as the facedown that Rainbow had just destroyed appeared. "Since you destroyed it, I can now summon my Dark Magician of Chaos(2800/2600) from my deck!" A dark orb appeared before it lifted into the air. A flash of light occurred before it faded to reveal a magician all in black as it stared down Rainbow and her monster.

"Great," groaned Rainbow as she managed to help Isaac bring out one of his most powerful monsters in just the first turn.

"You think you're two steps ahead, Dash. Think again," mocked Isaac.

"I end my turn."

The crowd made some noise as both duelists took their first turns and set the pace for the rest of their duel. In CHS, the students were chatting and murmuring as they couldn't believe what they saw.

"Did you see that?" exclaimed Zipp.

"Ms. Dash was able to get the first hit in, but Isaac was prepared for that. So he set up a trap knowing that she would trigger it. Then, it would set him up for his next turn. And now he has a powerful monster," said Sunny as she took all this information in. "Extraordinary. To think that far ahead. He set up a trap, and Ms. Dash knew that, so she set up her own trap. But he predicted that and executed another one. But then..."

Sunny was now mumbling about how much detail there was for both duelists in their opening moves. The way they played, their body language talked, and their moves. The monsters they used. Such small details told an even bigger picture.

"Okay, well, we've lost Sunny," said Roll, as the girl could see their friend still deciphering what just happened. Her brain was trying to make sense of everything.

"It's just the opening move," said Hitch.

"I know. And that's why I'm excited!" said Zipp as she couldn't wait to see what else would happen.

Turn 3: Isaac (Hand 4)

"It's my move. I draw!" said Isaac. "I'll summon Breaker the Magical Warrior(1600/1000)."

"I have that card in my deck," said Sunny as she spat out some of her smoothie upon seeing the monster that Isaac summoned.

"And when Breaker is summoned, he gains a Spell Counter that increases his attack by 300. Now, Dark Magician of Chaos, attack Dreadnought Dunker!" The magician heard the command of his master as he spun his staff before aiming it and firing a powerful spell that took out the athlete.
Rainbow's Life Points: 7700-

"And that's not all because whenever my Dark Magician of Chaos destroys a monster, it's banished instead of being sent to the graveyard. So if you had planned on using it, Rainbow. Think again!" declared Isaac as Rainbow grimaced, knowing how much of a threat Isaac's magician was. "Now, Breaker, attack her directly!" The magical swordsman lunged forward and brought its sword down as Rainbow blocked it with her Duel Disk as she struggled to hold her ground. Soon the monster leaped back as the attack was registered.
Rainbow's Life Points: 5800-

"I'll lay one card facedown and end my turn," said Isaac with a smile.

"What a move! Not only did Isaac get rid of Rainbow's monster, but he dealt even bigger damage to her life points!" shouted one of the MCs.

"That's why he's the World Champ. Nobody can do what he does better than him. Isaac and his deck full of magicians never cease to amaze us. It's like he has a new trick to debut every time he duels!" said the other MC.

Turn 4: Rainbow (Hand 5)

"It's my turn. And time for me to mount a comeback!" said Rainbow as she drew. "I'll start by playing this, the spell card, U.A Draft. With this continuous spell, I only have to pay 500 life points to summon a 'U.A.' monster from my deck. So I'll call out my U.A. Mighty Slugger(2300/700)!" stated Rainbow as another athlete appeared, wielding a baseball bat.
Rainbow's Life Points: 5300-

"And since I summoned a 'U.A.' monster, I can summon this guy. U.A. Player Manager(2000/2600) in defense mode!" shouted Rainbow as another monster appeared. "Now I activate my Player Manager's ability; since I special summoned it, I can destroy one card on the field. So say goodbye to your Dark Magician of Chaos!"

An energy beam fired from Player Manager as it collided with Isaac's magician.

"And now I'll have my Mighty Slugger attack, and if you were banking on using your facedown. Don't bother. Cause Mighty Slugger's ability is when he attacks, you can't activate any card effects." stated Rainbow as her monster brought its bat down on the swordsman, whose weapon shattered and soon exploded.
Isaac's Life Points: 6800-

"How do you like that? I end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 5: Isaac (Hand 3)

"Not bad, but watch me," said Isaac as he drew his card. "I'll start by playing Graceful Charity. So I draw three cards and discard two. Next, I'll discard another card so that I can special summon this, my Apprentice Illusion Magician(2000/1700)!" A portal appeared as out came a female magician as she giggled and twirled her staff.

"Now, since I summoned her, I'm allowed to add my Dark Magician to my hand," said Isaac as his Duel Disk ejected the card of his star magician; he grabbed it and smiled when he showed it to Rainbow.

"Not good," grumbled Rainbow, knowing how painful it would be if Isaac summoned his ace monster.

"I'll lay one more card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 6: Rainbow (Hand 3)

I gotta avoid Isaac summoning his Dark Magician. If I take out his monster, there's no way he'll bring it out.

"My move. And I'll switch out my Player Manager to summon my U.A. Playmaker(2600/2000)!" Another athlete appeared; it wore shoulder pads and a football helmet with the ball in its hands.

"Now, Mighty Slugger, attack his Apprentice Illusion Magician! And remember, thanks to his ability, you facedowns can't save you!" declared Rainbow as her monster hit a baseball surrounded by blue energy and took out the female sorceress.
Isaac's Life Points: 6500-

"Playmaker, follow it up!" shouted Rainbow as her other monster began to charge forward.

Isaac saw the monster coming to tackle him, and his eyes widened. The monster bulldozed the World Champ as he fell back and tumbled but managed to recover as he got to a knee.
Isaac's Life Points: 3900-

"How do you like that!" shouted Rainbow.

Isaac didn't lift his head; instead, he lifted his arm.

"I activate my trap, Dark Horizons!" shouted Isaac. "Since I took damage, I'm allowed to summon one Dark spellcaster from my deck whose attack is equal to or less than the damage I took. So... time to meet my favorite girl. Dark Magician Girl(2000/1700)!" A portal opened, and out came the female magician, who giggled and winked at the camera.

"As if I didn't have to worry about!" said Rainbow as Isaac now had his second-best magician out.

Turn 7: Isaac (Hand 2)

"My draw, and I'll play the spell, Card of Sanctity! Now we each draw till we're holding six cards in our hand. Next, I'll reveal my facedown, Sage's Stone. Since I control Dark Magician Girl, this card allows me to summon the Dark Magician(2500/2100) from my hand!" stated Isaac.

A white stone appeared before Dark Magician Girl as she tapped it. It began to crack as a bright light shined, and it died down to reveal another magician as he took a position before his master.

"And there it is, folks. Isaac has summoned his top magicians! Together all three are nigh unstoppable!" said one of the MCs as the crowd went crazy.

Isaac saw his magicians as he closed his eyes for a moment. He then opened up, seeing his magicians as they looked at him.

"Ready to do this, guys?" asked Isaac to his monsters.

"Yup. Though it's gonna be a real trick for us to come out on top," said Dark Magician Girl.

"Well, perhaps. But remember, as magicians, there is no trick we can't pull off," stated Dark Magician.

"You're right. So, let's perform some magic," stated Isaac as the two nodded.

"There he goes again. He is still talking to his monsters. That's the one thing all these years later that hasn't changed." said Rainbow as a small smile crept on her face.

"Now, I play Thousand Knives. With Dark Magician out, I can use this spell to destroy one monster on your side of the field. So your Mighty Slugger is gone!" said Isaac as small daggers appeared and flew toward Rainbow's side of the field, taking out her monster. "Next, I'll play Magic Formula and equip it onto my Dark Magician Girl to give her 700 extra attack points. Now, Dark Magician Girl, attack her Playmaker!" Isaac's female magician spun her staff before pointing it at Dash's monster and blasting it to smithereens.
Rainbow's Life Points: 5200-

"Now, Dark Magician, attack her directly! Dark Magic Attack!" shouted Isaac as he commanded his monster. His magician took to the air as he spun his staff and prepared to fire.

"Not gonna happen. I reveal my facedown, Reinforced Truth!" The card flipped over and lit up. "This lets me special summon a Level 2 or lower Warrior from my deck." Rainbow tapped the hologram of her selected card, and it ejected. "I'll summon X-Saber Pashuul(100/0) in defense mode!" An elderly warrior with a massive mess of tangled black hair, dark blue armor, and a massive sword appeared before Rainbow and knelt.

Dark Magician fired its attack as the warrior stood his ground and took the hit. The attack ceased as Isaac's magician levitated back to his side of the field; the duelists looked at each other as they could counter the other.

"Not bad. But let's see if you can take down my magicians!" said Isaac as he set one card facedown and ended his turn.

Turn 8: Rainbow (Hand 6)

Rainbow glared as her duel disk beeped and ejected a card. "I'm not out of this by a long shot," she snapped, grabbing the card and drawing it out. She slid it into her hand and picked another. "I summon U.A. Midfielder again and return it to my hand to special summon U.A. Rival Rebounder(2200/2300)." A glowing portal on the ground in front of Rainbow spread open, and as she reached to place Rival Rebounder's card onto her duel disk. The portal flashed green, and a figure in bright white basketball padding rose from it, orange lines lighting up his padding as he raised his head.

"Now I tune my Level 2 X-Saber Pashuul with my Level 6 Rival Rebounder!" X-Saber Pashuul lit green and split into two rings that rotated and floated around Rival Rebounder. Rival Rebounder glowed orange as a column of yellow light rose around it. "I align the knight's blade and the athlete's ball and bring out a brand new titan!" Rainbow grabbed her card and slapped it on her duel disk. "I Synchro Summon! Rise up, Colossal Fighter(2800/2000)!" The light receded, revealing a massive figure in thick beige armor. It stood up, light gleaming off a green visor over its eyes, and crossed its arms.

"My Colossal Fighter's ability allows him to gain an extra 100 attack points for every warrior in my graveyard. And I currently have four, so my monster gains 400 points. Making it stronger than both of your magicians!" stated Rainbow as her monster powered up. "Now attack his Dark Magician Girl!"

"I don't think so! I reveal my Spellbinding Circle!" said Isaac as one of his cards flipped up. "Thanks to this trap, not only do I stop your monster's attack, but it can't change modes, and it loses 700 attack points!" A magical circle appeared and bonded Rainbow's monster from moving.

"You think you're slick, huh? Thanks to you for replenishing my hand last turn. I got options to deal with your magic tricks. Like this... Mystical Space Typhoon! So I can destroy your Spellbinding Circle!" said Rainbow as a giant wind began to blow. The fierce wind managed to dispel the magical circle around her Colossal Fighter as it was no longer restricted.

"Now, continue to attack!" shouted Dash to her monster. Colossal Fighter bellowed and charged across the field, arm raised. Colossal Fighter jumped up and descended, slamming a massive fist down.
Isaac's Life Points: 3400-

"My Dark Magician Girl may be gone, but you triggered the additional effect of my Magic Formula. When it's destroyed, I gain 1000 life points!"
Isaac's Life Points: 4400-

"I'll set two cards facedown!"

Turn 9: Isaac (Hand 2)

"My turn, and I'll play the spell card, Dark Magic Viel. So by giving up 1000 life points, I can revive my Dark Magician Girl!" said Isaac as he returned his top female spellcaster.
Isaac's Life Points: 3400-

"Just when I thought my problems were over. They've only just started," muttered Rainbow.

"Next, I'll equip my Dark Magician Girl with Bound Wand. Thanks to this spell, she gains an extra 100 attack points per her level. Since she's Level 6, she gains 600 extra attack points." Isaac stated his female spellcaster was just as strong as his other magician.

"I'll end it there."

Turn 10: Rainbow (Hand 4)

"My turn! Now Colossal Fighter, take out his Dark Magician!" declared Rainbow as her monster reeled back its fist and prepared to strike.

"If you want to destroy my Dark Magician... you'll have to find him first. Go, Magical Hats!" stated Isaac as his facedown flipped up and a hat with a question mark came out.

It covered over Isaac's magician before splitting into four separate hats in front of his field.

"Take your best shot, Rainbow. My Dark Magician is hiding under one of these hats."

"Grr. After all these years, you're still playing the same carnival tricks!"

"And yet, after all these years, you still fall for them," countered Isaac. "Now, what's your pick?"

"Colossal Fighter, attack the Dark Magician underneath the second hat from the left!" declared Rainbow as she pointed.

Colossal Fighter thrusted its fist out as it made contact with the selected hat as a smoke cloud covered the entire field. It soon ceased as the expression on Rainbow's face told the whole story. Three other hats remained as the one she destroyed was gone.

"It looks like you missed," replied Isaac smugly.

"You got lucky once. It won't happen again!" assured Dash as she ended her turn.

Turn 11: Isaac (Hand 1)

"My move, and I'll play Pot of Greed to allow me to pick up two cards. Then I'll play this spell card, Upstart Goblin. So in exchange for giving you 1000 life points, I can draw a card." stated Isaac.
Rainbow's Life Points: 6200-

"And lastly, I'll place this card underneath one of my remaining Magician Hats," said Isaac as his facedown appeared before one of the hats covered it, and all three spun rapidly before standing in a line. "Now you have something else to worry about."

Turn 12: Rainbow (Hand 5)

"I'm not scared," stated Rainbow as she drew her card. "I'll summon my Midfielder and then switch him out so that I can summon my U.A. Goalkeeper(1000/2800) in defense mode!" shouted Dash as an athlete wearing a gold and white body suit emerged.

"Now, let's try this again. Colossal Fighter, attack the hat on the right!"

The monster reeled its fist back and was preparing to attack.

"Just as I predicted. You targeted the hat that I hid my trap. It's my Magic Cylinder! Now, your attack is negated, and you take damage equal to your monster's attack!" stated Isaac as Rainbow's monster stopped and she was hit by one of the cylinders. It caused Dash to fall to a knee as she felt the powerful attack.
Rainbow's Life Points: 3000-

"Give up?" taunted Isaac.

"Never!" stated Rainbow defiantly as she picked herself up. "Now, since I have a U.A. monster on my field, I can special summon my tuner monster. U.A. Strategist(1000/600)!" Next to Goalkeeper rose a monster in a silver uniform with blue and orange stripes, a clipboard under one arm, and a whistle dangling from its neck. The monster raised its head, eyes staring sharply under a white baseball cap, and grunted.

"I activate U.A. Strategist's special ability!" Rainbow held up her duel disk as a card emerged from her graveyard. "Once per turn, I can return up to three U.A. monsters in my graveyard to my deck, and a U.A. monster on my side of the field can gain or lose a Level for each of them." The transparent image of Playmaker appeared above Strategist. "I return Playmaker to my deck and have U.A. Strategist gain a Level, making it Level 4!" Strategist raised its whistle and blew into it; at the sound, the specter of Rainbow's monster flowed into it in a flash of blue light. "And now, I tune my Level 6 U.A. Strategist with my Level 4 U.A. Midfielder!" Strategist's whistle echoed as it turned into six green rings that floated into the air. Midfielder rose up into them as they began to spin. A pillar of blue light shot down through the rings.

"I align brains and brawn, coach and player, and call in the unparalleled master of the field!" Rainbow's duel disk popped open, and she grabbed it and held it up. "Meet a superstar like no other! I Synchro Summon! Rushing in, U.A. Star Player(2700/2500)!" The pillar of light receded, revealing a darkened form floating in the air. Clad head to toe in a silver bodysuit with glowing blue and orange stripes up the sides, it hung ominously in the air. The monster raised its head, scruffy blond hair blowing in the wind, and dropped to the ground, landing on its feet. It held a hand to the side, and a pair of orange sunglasses appeared in its fingers; it slipped them on, grinned, and reared up to its full height, arms crossed.

"I set one card facedown!" said Dash as she ended her turn.

Turn 13: Isaac (Hand 2)

"Please, you think I'm scared," said Isaac as he took his turn and drew. "Well, check this out. I play the spell Dark Burning Attack. Since I control Dark Magician Girl, this card allows me to destroy all the monsters you have!" With a flirty wink and flick of her wrist, Isaac's female magician aimed and fired off her most powerful spell as it nuked Rainbow's entire field.

"Next, I'll dispel the rest of my Magician Hats," said Isaac as the two remaining hats disappeared, revealing his Dark Magician. "Now, Dark Magician, attack her directly!"

"Don't think so. I reveal my facedown, Defense Draw! Thanks to this trap, not only do I not take any damage from your attack, but I get to draw a card!" stated Rainbow as a barrier of cards appeared before her and held off the magic attack from her opponent's monster.

"You held off one attack. But time for my other magician to strike!" said Isaac as he signaled for his Dark Magician Girl to attack.

"I reveal my other facedown, Synchro Spirits! Now I remove a Synchro monster in my graveyard, and then I can bring back the monsters used to summon it. So by banishing my Star Player, I'm bringing back my U.A. Goalkeeper and Strategist!" said Rainbow as her monsters appeared before her.

"In that case, Dark Magician Girl, attack her Strategist," said Isaac as he had to change his attack to target one of Rainbow's monsters.

"Now, Goalkeeper. Activate your ability!" said Rainbow as her monster put its hands out and appeared before its teammate. "Goalkeeper's ability allows me to keep my Strategist from being destroyed!" Another barrier was put up as the attack from the female magician bounced right off before she returned to her master's side.

"Quick thinking, Dash. But I'm still in control of this duel. I'll set one card facedown." said Isaac as he finished his turn.

Turn 14: Rainbow (Hand 3)

"Not for long. It's my move!" shouted Rainbow. "I activate Strategist's ability, so by returning my Mighty Slugger and Rival Rebounder, I'll drop my Strategist's level from 3 to 1! And with that, I tune my Level 1 Strategist with my Level 6 Goalkeeper!"

Strategist's whistle echoed as it became a giant green ring floating into the air. Goalkeeper elder rose up into them as they began to spin. A pillar of blue light shot down through the ring. "Beat your wings to whip up a whirlwind of destruction! I Synchro Summon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon(2500/2000)!" A dragon emerged from the open roof, roaring for all to hear.

"What a beast!" shouted an MC.

"What monster is that?" asked Pipp, looking at the screen.

"A powerful one, I guess," said Sunny.

"But it has the same attack points as Dark Magician. And it's weaker than Dark Magician Girl," stated Hitch.

"Wait till you see its ability," said Roll as she got the attention of everyone.

"What ability?" asked Izzy as if she almost didn't want to ask that question. She would soon get her answer as her attention was brought back forward as Rainbow called out her next move.

"Now, since I special summoned a monster, I can also summon this. Speedroid Rubberband Plane(1800/0)!" said Rainbow as a small model airplane with a face on it came flying in.

"Did... she just say, Speedroid?" said Zipp as she was left stunned.

"Speedroid Rubberband Plane's ability allows me to target one monster, and it loses 600 attack points."

"Oh, I get it. She's gonna use her monster's effect and lower Dark Magician Girl's attack so that her dragon can beat it," stated Izzy.

"And I choose... my dragon!" stated Dash as she pointed.

"Huh?" said all the students in CHS as they watched. Apart from Celestia, Luna, and Roll as they knew why Rainbow made that move.

"Now, Clear Wing! Activate your ability!" shouted Rainbow as her dragon roared. "Go Reverse Revenge!" Her dragon had its wings light up and shoot out ray beams as it destroyed her own monster. Soon it was surrounded by an aura as everyone watched its attack points rise.

"How did she do that?" asked Pipp.

"Clear Wing's special ability negates the effect of a Level 5 or higher monster that targets it. Then not only does my Clear Wing destroy it, but it absorbs the monster's attack points till the end of the turn!" stated Rainbow.

"So that's why she chose her own monster," said Sunny as a lightbulb went off in her head. "Of course, it makes sense. By targeting her own monster, not only does she activate her dragon's effect, but as a result, it boosts its strength so now it can take out either of those magicians. What a great play!"

The girl was amazed by the high-level pro strat that Rainbow showcased. Using her own monster's effect on its comrade would normally be a bad call, but in this instance, it paid off as it allowed Rainbow to get her dragon to be stronger.

"Now, attack his Dark Magician Girl! Spin Storm Sky Strike!" yelled Rainbow as her dragon flapped its wings and shot upward. It was flying upward to the roof of the building and out the top as it rose.

It was now out of the building and turned around as it descended. It spun and quickly picked up speed as the momentum reached its max. The dragon came through the roof and crashed down on Isaac's female magician as the World Champion was flung off his feet and crashed hard to the field floor.
Isaac's Life Points: 1700-

"Had enough?" taunted Rainbow. Isaac grunted as he got a knee, now having scuffs on his skin from taking Rainbow's attack.

"The effect of my Bound Wand activates. It allows me to revive my Dark Magician Girl," grunted Isaac as his female spellcaster appeared in defense mode.

"Then let's give this a try. I activate Dragon's Fighting Spirit!" shouted Rainbow as she activated a card. "Since you revived your Dark Magician Girl, my dragon gains an additional attack this turn. Next, I reveal my facedown, Synchro Baton. Thanks to this trap, my Clear Wing Dragon gains 600 extra attack points for every Synchro monster in my graveyard. So it gains 1200 more points!" shouted Rainbow as her dragon strengthened.

"Wait, how strong is it now?" asked Pipp.

"5500 points of strength. That's more than enough for her to win," said Sunny.

"So, Clear Wing! Take out his Dark Magician! Finish him!"

"I activate my trap, Magicians' Defense. The damage I take is cut in half!"

The dragon roared as it opened its mouth and fired a beam. It had no trouble taking out the magician as Isaac uttered another painful cry and hit the floor again harder than before.
Isaac's Life Points: 200-

"Yikes, that attack nearly wiped him out," said Hitch.

"Yeah, but thanks to his trap, he survived. I'm just not sure how long he can hang on," Sunny stated as they watched the screen.

"Give up?!" taunted Rainbow as she fired Isaac's comment back at him.

The World Champion grunted as he struggled to get to his feet. Everyone in the building, and watching at home saw the man struggle as he slowly got to a knee. He took a deep breath before willing himself to get up; he stood and looked at Rainbow while breathing heavily.

"I can do this all day," responded Isaac. "Since my Dark Magician is in the graveyard, my Dark Magician Girl gains 300 extra attack points."

"Good. Cause I end my turn."

Turn 15: Isaac (Hand 1)

Alright, time to make some magic happen.

"My move! I draw! I'll play my Magician's Valkryia(1600/1800) in defense mode!" said Isaac as another female sorceress similar to his Dark Magician Girl appeared. "As long as my Valkryia is on the field, you can't attack any of my other spellcasters. Next, I'll play Swords of Revealing Light!"

Three swords came raining down from the heavens as they embedded into Rainbow's side of the field.

"With this card in play, you can't attack for three turns," stated Isaac.

"You're just stalling, you know!" stated Rainbow.

"Maybe. I end my turn."

Turn 16: Rainbow (Hand 3)

"My move," said Rainbow as she drew her card. "Perfect. I play the spell Speedroid Wheel. So by discarding a card in my hand, I roll six-sided dice. Then I can special summon 1 or 2 'Speedroid' monsters from my deck/hand as long as I negate their abilities."

A dice appeared in her hand as she looked at it. Rainbow blew it on for good luck before tossing it. The dice hurled through the air as it landed and tumbled along the floor. Soon it came to a stop on the side that had a five.

"Nice. So from my deck, I'm summoning out my Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice(100/100) and Speedroid Pachingo-Kart(1800/1000)!" said Rainbow as two more monsters appeared. "And now I tune my Level 1 Red-Eyed Dice with my Level 4 Pachingo-Kart!" The dice monster turned into a giant green ring circling the kart as a white light surged. "I Synchro Summon! Say hello to a Monster that always edges down the competition! Hi-Speedroid Chanbara(2000/1000)!" From a portal came another monster as it took position next to Clear Wing.

"Not good," said Isaac as he saw Rainbow could bring out another monster. Thankfully, he had his Swords of Revealing Light to keep Rainbow from attacking, but that was to delay her attacks.

Turn 17: Isaac (Hand 0)

"My move," said Isaac as he drew his card, hoping for something.

This could come in handy.

"I'll end my turn."

Turn 18: Rainbow (Hand 2)

"That's it? Nothing else but defense. Come on, give me something to work with!" shouted Rainbow as she prepared to draw her top card. "Nice. I play Pot of Greed so that I can draw two cards. Awesome!"

"Uh-oh," muttered Isaac.

"Time to finish this duel. I play another Mystical Space Typhoon! So your swords are gone!" said Rainbow as she wiped out the things keeping her from attacking as she was free.

"Oh, that's not good," said Roll, watching the screen.

"Now I summon Speedroid Razorang(2000/0). Now, I activate Razorang's ability, so I target one monster and change it into defense mode, and it loses 600 points. So, I choose my dragon."

"Which means you're gonna activate its ability," said Isaac.

"You got it, and you know what follows," said Rainbow as her dragon took out its own comrade and boosted its attack by 2000.

"Now to attack, Chanbara, take out his Magician's Valkyria! And thanks to its ability, it gains 200 points when it battles!" ordered Rainbow as her monster sped forward and took out the female spellcaster. "Chanbara's other ability activates, allowing it to attack a second time and remember, every time it battles, it gains 200 points. Take out his Dark Magician Girl!" The monster did a quick U-turn and took out Isaac's remaining monster.

"No!" said Isaac as he was now defenseless.

"It's over! Clear Wing, slay the Prince, and take his crown!" yelled Rainbow as she set to win.

The dragon roared and flew forward as it was about to end the World Champion.

"It's your time to shine, buddy. Do it! Kuriboh!" yelled Isaac as he held his card up high.

His card shined brightly as a small hairy monster appeared. It looked at its master before seeing the massive dragon coming toward them. The small furball was scared before taking a deep breath and then focusing. It channeled all of its power into making itself bigger as it grew and was the same size as the dragon as it collided with the furry monster. The attack caused a massive wind effect as everybody in the building held on. Soon the wind died down as Rainbow's dragon roared as Kuriboh turned back into its regular size and wiped its forehead. It turned to look at its master as he smiled, which made Kuriboh happy as he disappeared.

"By discarding Kuriboh from my hand, I take no damage from your attack!" stated Isaac.

"How dare you mock me, Isaac?!" yelled Rainbow; her anger boiled over as she made a fist. "That stupid, puny hairball bailing you out. That little shit is still annoying as hell!"

"What a save by the World Champion!" said one MC as the crowd also cheered for Isaac being able to avoid a deadly blow.

"Now the question is, can he turn this duel around? Or is this it?" said the other MC.

Turn 19: Isaac (Hand 0)

"It's my move. Hopefully, I can get something. Come on, deck. Don't fail me now." muttered the champ as he took a deep breath and drew. He turned his card over to look at it; the expression on Isaac's face caused a smile to appear. "I play this spell card, Magicalized Fusion!" A vortex appeared behind Isaac as several shadows appeared. "I can conduct a Fusion Summon by banishing monsters from my graveyard. So I banish my Magician's Valkyria, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Apprentice Illusion Magician, Dark Magician Girl, and Dark Magician!"

Above Isaac, the shadows filled up as they were the spirits of the monsters he had just named. They all turned into respective lights and were sucked into the vortex as it began to react. It shined brightly as the energies of the different monsters were being used for something grander.

"I Fusion Summon!" yelled Isaac. "Quintet Magician(4500/4500)!" Emerging from the vortex was a spellcaster; he had golden hair and wore an outfit similar to Dark Magician, as it had shades of violet and indigo blended in.

"What a monster," muttered Hitch as everybody at CHS saw Isaac's new magician.

While it was a bit different from watching it on a screen, they could sense how powerful this one was compared to his previous ones.

"Now, Quintet Magician's ability activates. Since I used five different spellcasters, I can destroy all your cards!"

"Don't think so. Clear Wing's ability allows you to pump the brakes on yours and destroy it."

"Not this time, Rainbow. Because Quintet Magician can't be destroyed by card effects. So your little strategy is useless! Which means!" Isaac snapped his fingers.

As if on cue, his warlock began to have his hands glow as multiple magical disks appeared and shot out a beam that nuked Rainbow's entire field. Explosions occurred, and Rainbow could hear the painful screech of her monster being destroyed as it was gone in a flash. The explosions ceased as only Isaac and his monster were left, as Rainbow had nothing. No cards on the field or in her hand. In short, it was over.

Nothing but silence. Silence. Isaac and Rainbow looked at each other from afar as both knew what was to come next. The duelists who had a banger of a duel kept everybody present and watching on their toes. Filled them with excitement and took them on a rollercoaster of a ride. Now came the final curtain.

"Are you ready, Rainbow?" asked Isaac with a deep breath and gentle tone.

"I'm always ready, Isaac," she said as a smile appeared.

Isaac closed his eyes and focused his mind. He then shot them open with a determined look.

"Quintet Magician, end this duel! Attack her directly!" shouted Isaac as he thrust his arm out. The World Champion's magician hovered into the air as he twirled his staff before aiming and firing it at the girl.

The attack came in contact with Rainbow as a flash occurred. Inside the attack, Rainbow kept her smile. It soon died down as there was the athlete; she opened her eyes and smiled as her duel disk registered the final attack.
Rainbow's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Isaac

"Ladies and gentlemen, your winner! And still World Champion, the Prince. Isaac!" shouted one of the MCs.

"And he does it again, folks. The Prince retains his crown and holds firm on his kingdom!" yelled the other MC into the mic.

Confetti and pyro went off. The crowd got on their feet and cheered as they showed their applause to the World Champion. Isaac took in the cheers and crowd noises as he smiled and lifted his left arm to signify victory. Rainbow was on a knee as she looked at her opponent. She smiled as the duel with her friend brought a feeling she hadn't experienced in quite a while.

Rainbow then saw Isaac approach her as he offered her his hand. She looked at it before grabbing it and pulling her to her feet. Isaac grabbed her wrist and lifted Rainbow's arm up high to allow the crowd also to support her. The two duelists were given a standing ovation for what they did to give everybody watching them some quality entertainment.

"A true act of sportsmanship, ladies and gents. Two duelists going out and having a banger of a match. Both said they would deliver and did just that and more."

At CHS, the students were also clapping as they praised them.

"That was incredible," said Zipp.

"It was like, well... magic," said Sunny as she couldn't say how amazing it was to watch two pro duelists compete.

"This is totally gonna be trendy on the feeds," said Pipp as she began to already began to get to work on making some tweets to send to her fans.

"Well, Lulu. Pay up," said Celestia to her sister.

Luna grumbled as she pouted and leaned back in her chair, as Celestia smiled. Thanks to her sister, the principal leaned back in her chair and zipped her drink as she thought of the many cakes she wanted to try.

With that, the event's final broadcast showed Rainbow as Spitfire, and the rest of her teammates were behind her. She was shaking Isaac's hand as behind him was Juniper. The two rivals and friends smiled as their decks shined brightly as they put on one hell of a performance for everyone.

In the dorm of Mario and Roll, the boy remained facing the wall as the sounds of the party in the school could be heard. It panned downward to show his nightstand; there on it was the envelope that his sister slid under as it was open.

Author's Note: What a match. This is what Duel Monsters is at its core. Being able to take you on a wild ride, the back and forth action, the drawing of the right card, and hitting the final attack to see your opponent's life points tick down. All that encompassed is like art. It's so good and beautiful. The championship match has happened, and Rainbow came oh so close but in the end, the World Champ managed to retain. And it seems everyone in CHS enjoyed it, well... almost, everyone.
