Tartarus was lost in thought as he absentmindedly wandered his palace. He had broken up with Gaea after the war, and while he hadn't thought of it at the time, he felt lonely in his giant palace. Sure, he had Nyx, Akhlys, and the other monsters living alongside him, but it didn't make up for the empty spot in his bed.
He was thinking about getting remarried. There were plenty of candidates, but choosing the right one was the hard part. He needed someone who was worthy of him, someone who could keep him happy, a capable fighter, and many other things. However, Tartarus wasn't all that interested in the women in his realm, and his mind kept drifting to Doria Jackson.
Doria Jackson.
Just the name brings a smile to his face. Her smooth tan skin, silky black hair, and ocean eyes put butterflies in his stomach. Not only that, but her prowess in battle is extraordinary! She was certainly something to marvel at.
Unfortunately, she was a daughter of Poseidon, which meant that he had to consider her his enemy. But he was Tartarus, Protogenos of the Abyss, Father of Giants, and the Pit of Evil! He didn't have to do anything if he didn't have to, and if anyone contested his decision to marry Doria, he could just have them killed and stop them from reforming.
That's it. He's going to have Doria as his new bride and there won't be a second thought about it.
Putting on a human form and grabbing his sword, Tartarus traveled to the human world to search for Doria. He would enter the camps if he had to. Compared to him, those demigods were nothing. Tartarus smirked, knowing Doria would join him in matrimony if it meant saving her friends. That was another thing he liked; her loyalty. He would never have to worry about her betraying him given that she was motivated to stay.
A rare blissful smile grew on Tartarus's face as he imagined the cute shocked face Doria would make once he made his proposal. He can still remember that terrified look she made when he took on a physical form. So cute.
If only he knew how far the demigoddess had fallen.
