"Awww, we got a class pet and it's a bazaki like Rufus, he's gonna love this." Casey said as she and the other kids were crowded arouhd the enclosure that showed up on the teacher's desk.
Even though she did afternoon-classes at Xavier's, Rocket had encouaged Ms Sif to let Casey return to third-grade for morning-classes which she was fine with which made Peach and Raya excited to see their girl back plus seeing their class-pet was a bazaki like her one, Rufus was helping her feel less anxious knowing the other kids had not forgotten the things that had happened, with her being a student seeing Ms Sif enter smirkijg seeing the kids had noticed the class-pet.
"I see you've noticed the newest member of our class, this was vice-dean Rocket's idea." she said.
"Tell your bro thanks from the third-grade." Peach whispered to Casey making her grin, only she realised something, Rufus did have a litter wondering if it was one of her cubs.
"We figured that you guys are old enough to take care of a pet, well to learn to take care of one, like the older grades." Ms Sif told them explaining about bazaki making Casey smirk, hearing they would get turns to take it home only Peach and Raya noticed Casey didn't have her paw in the air.
"Maybe Rufus would love a playdate." Raya whispered.
"Yeah girl, put your paw up." Peach whispered to her.
"It's okay the other kids would object." Casey replied to her.
Lunella could hear them wondering what that was about as the recess-bell rang and Casey covered her furry ears with her paws because that sound always hurt her ears, heading over to where the class-pet was noticing it was curious about her.
"Auntie Casey, that you." she heard it say making her grin.
"Hey, you are one of Rufus's cubs, I knew it." she replied to it.
"Uh-huh, Uncle Rocket asked mommy, if it was okay plus bazaki are easy pets for kids to take care of, only I wanna come home withyou." it said making the female-cub sigh, as she knew the other kids wouldn't let her do this hearing the bell which made her freak out, taking deep-breaths seeing the other kids along with Peach and Raya come back inside
"How come you stayed inside, at recess." Lunella asked her making her quiet as she went back to her desk knowing soon, she'd be leaving class to get to Xavier's which only Peach and Raya knew about, but kept secret like her being Raccoon Girl paying attention to the teacher hearing knocking on the door, seeing Vice-Dean Rocket asking Casey to come with him seeing Casey grabbing her backpack following him.
"You alright, kiddo, why so quier as you discovered my surprise." Rocket told her.
"Uh-huh, but the other kids will never let me take it, besides I have Rufus." she told him.
Later that afternoon after getting home from school, Casey was in her room lying on her bed afterdoing homework only Rufus sensed something bothered her, unaware of what her brother and Ms Sif had surprised the class with seeing her sigh getting out of her house.
"I guess you fouhd out, what your brother did for the third-grade, but why does it make you sad." Rufus asked her.
"I liked the surprise but the other kidswill never let me take ut here." she replied to her making her understanding
"Awwww give yourself credit, you're awesome, you're also Raccoon Girl." Rufus said to her but unaware Rocket was listening feeling that Casey's shyness had activated after Ms Sif revealed the bazaki.
