A cool summer night in brisbane had finally taken place. Bluey and Bingo were playing in their backyard with some of their plushies.
"Ok, Bingo, I'll be the mum, and you can be my daughter." Bluey had given her a plushy to have as a comfort item.
"Alright, Bluey. I'm gonna go find some more stuff for our game." Bingo set down the plush.
"Oh, I'll come too!" Bluey's tailed wagged at the thought of having a big game that she could play with her little sister.
The two of them ran up the stairs of the Veranda, leading into the house. They ran up the stairs into their bedroom and started looking for some toys to play with.
"Hey, Bluey. Do you hear that?" Bingo had stopped her search and looked around the room to figure out what that noise was.
"Yea, I do. It sounds like mum and dad, though. I wouldn't worry about it, Bingo." Bluey was knee deep in the toy bin too focused on trying to find her toys.
"Ok, Bluey. Oh, do you think we could use this?" Bingo showed Bluey a baby carriage that could fit their plushies.
"Definitely! I can't seem to find the kitchen set though... I think i'll go ask mum where it is." Bluey walked out the room and bingo followed.
The noise from a few minutes ago got louder as they got closer to their parent's bedroom.
"Why can't you just stop your addiction, Bandit?! Ever since winter of last year, you've started this crazy routine!" Chilli's voice was heard across the door.
"Oh come one. It's not like i'm taking this stuff in the dozens. Plus, a little isn't gonna hurt anyone, right?" Bandit's voice was also heard across the door.
Bluey and Bingo looked at each other in silence to not get caught. Bluey's hand reached for the door knob and twisted it. She pushed the door open and saw her parents on opposite sides of the bed squabbling.
"Mum?" She shyly spoke.
Chilli turned around and saw Bluey at her door. "Yes, Bluey?"
"Do you know where the kitchen set is for my toy?" Bluey started twiddling with her fingers.
Chilli's hand went to her face. "Look it's getting late, and both you and Bingo have school tomorrow. Both of you should be getting into bed by now."
"Yes, Mum." Bluey closed the door behind her.
"So, did mum say where it was?" Bingo asked.
"No, she said we should be going to bed by now." Bluey started walking to their room to go to bed.
"Ok." Bingo followed behind her.
They both crawled into their beds and dozed off to sleep while the squabbling of the parents kept going.
"One day you're going to put one of our lives into danger because of your addiction! I'm going to bed, so once you figure this shit out, you can talk to me." She walked out their bedroom door and went to sleep on the couch
