It all started when the great creator created three beings.
The Almighty, the king of the gods.
Dezeha, the dragon goddess.
And Yomi, the lord of devils.
The Almighty and Yomi put their powers together and created a world.
It was a world without time.
The world was nothing but white light, inhabited by people.
Dezeha gathered her powers to create five dragons.
There was only eternity in that world and a sun that burned without beginning or end.
And because there was only timeless eternity, nothing was ever lost, yet nothing was ever gained.
One day, the people wondered why their world had no beginning or end, so they asked the dragons.
The dragons opened their mouths as if to answer, but they poured water instead of words from their mouths.
It rushed out in streams to create the sky and the oceans, and the dragons swam away.
The dragons swam to the centre of the ocean, and there they began to transform into an island.
One dragon sank into the sea and became the land.
One dragon lifted its gaze to the sky and became the mountains.
One dragon stooped low, became the lakes, and scattered its scales to create rain.
One dragon fell into a deep slumber and became the forest.
The last dragon climbed far into the sky to become a star of sapphire blue, shining brightly above the island.
The people started moving into this new world, not knowing what was to come.
Earth Land, Ishgar, Kingdom of Fiore, Tenrou Island
Tenrou Island stands alone in the middle of the sea, with no other isles visible in the surrounding area; that is a mildly small, rocky and steep island covered by lush vegetation, both bright yellow and green, with one side of the island shown to be particular rocky, possessing large formations jutting outwards from the ground, one near the shore, protruding above the sea, and the other near the centre of the island, overlooking it; the latter has a pair of waterfalls falling down from it in a small lake below.
Topping such a rocky formation stands the most distinctive element of the island, a gigantic tree with a gnarled, mildly curved trunk, ending in several large branches which sustain it, being a large, flat section composed of earth and crowded by a multitude of normal-sized trees. Such gargantuan plant possesses a multitude of similarly large, curved and twisted roots, which, right below the trunk, sustain massive lumps of earth, something which creates some sort of covered area right below the tree itself.
Closest to the tree roots stood a house as old as a man and a dragon sitting outside it.
The man looked to be just out of his teen with short black hair, dark eyes, and abnormally sharp canines, and he was dressed in high-collared black and tan robes with gold trim, along with a large, flowing white toga draped around his torso.
The dragon next to him was gigantic, with four legs, and was mostly covered with dark red scales on the stomach and the inner portions of his long tail, and his legs were beige.
It had a charge over its stomach and neck, with the largest one, which is X-shaped, located around the centre of its body.
Gowing down its back to its tail were numerous black spikes with two horns on its triangular head and a sharp horn pointing upwards just above his nose.
Its eyes were black with yellow sclera and were round with sharp teeth, claws with long, sharp, red nails, and large bony wings resembling a bat's, with rippled tips.
A scream filled the air as it came from the old house, and the man and dragon looked at it, both winning, "Rando never made any noise when she was bathing," The dragon said as the man rolled his eyes.
"That's because she is laying eggs that would hatch Igneel; my wife, on the other hand, is a human, and when a human is born, it puts the mother under a lot of pain," The man said as the dragon nodded.
"I know, my friend, but I have to say that I do not like this plan of yours," Igneel said as he looked down, "You are going to give me your child to train and have them become a dragon slayer, but what about them," He said as the man sighed.
"I know, that mad bastard Acnologia and their creations of mine that turned on me," He said as he sighed once more, "And people say that I, Zeref Dragneel, am one of the ones that help people, but now I hear that they call me another name, The Black Wizard," Zeref said with a scoff as Igneel looked down at his friend in pity as another scream filled the air.
And then another scream filled the air.
But this one was of a woman.
No, this one was the cry of a newborn child.
The door to the house opened as a slim and tall woman with pink hair walked out.
Her hair was tied in a bun on the back of her head by two large pins with crescent moon-shaped edges, and with two bangs of hair left framing her face; she had reddish eyes and a beauty mark located below her mouth on the left side of her face.
Her attire comprises a dark green blouse, a tie around the collar, a long matching skirt, and simple shoes.
"How are things, Grandeeney," Igneel asked the woman, who looked at the dragon with a raised brow.
"Mavis has given birth to a boy, and you can now go in if you want," She told them as Igneel grew red and shrunk into a human form.
His human form was a toned, muscular man with dark orange hair styled upwards, with the tips somewhat tinged and two strands framing the sides of his head with scars littering his body; and for his clothes, Igneel dons loose pants with a fur lining in the middle: the top is dark-coloured while the bottom is light and he wears a wrap around his waist, with an apron-like cloth over his pants, bearing diamond shapes and an X-design.
Both men walked in with Grandeeney following in after them, and they saw a woman with very long, wavy, pastel yellow-blonde hair that reached down to her feet with a small ahoge, large green eyes with no pupils, peachy skin and a slight child-like build.
She wore a pink robe, and a bundle with a baby was in her arms.
"Mavis, is this," Zeref asked as he walked over.
"Yes," Mavis said as she looked at her husband, "This is our son, Natsu," She said as she looked at her son.
Mavis held her hands as Zeref took his son into his arms.
Igneel and Grandeeny stood off to the side with smiles on Igneel's.
"What is it," Grandeeny asked him.
"No matter what race it is, when a child is born, it is beautiful," He said as Grandeeny nodded.
But it seemed that the moment did not last as something coughed in Igneel's nose as he turned to look out the door.
"What is it," Mavis asked as she saw him look out the door.
"They're on the way," He told her.
No one said anything as Mavis looked at her son, "Those devils will hunt down Natsu if he stays with us as the word may get out, and they will storm the city," Mavis said as she looked at Igneel, "Please, Igneel, take him and train him," She asked him with a bow of her head.
Igneel opened his mouth, but Zeref stopped him, "Mavis and I already have a plan; when you take Natsu away, I'm going to travel the world and lure them on a wild chase while Mavis is going to," Zeref was saying before he stopped himself.
"I'm going to erase everything to do with my son and only keep one thing in my office back at Fairy Tail so that when he's older, he can get it," Mavis said as Igneel closed his eyes.
"Are you sure," He asked them as both nodded, "Then I'll be outside, and please say your goodbyes to him so that he can at least hear your voice once," Igneel told them as he walked out of the old house.
Igneel turned back into his proper form as he waited for Zeref to come out, and after five minutes, the man came out with his son.
"Please look after him, Igneel," Zeref said as the dragon nodded and held a claw.
Zeref placed his son into the dragon's claw before Igneel took off.
A white bird-like dragon flew after him before they flew side by side and went their separate ways.
416 Years Later, Kingdom of Fiore, Magnolia Town, Fairy Tail Guild Building
All its members stood in the Fairy Tail building, chatting, drinking, and eating.
He was a lean, muscular young man of average height with a slightly tan skin tone, black eyes, spiky pink-coloured hair, and abnormally sharp canines.
He was dressed in a sleeveless, gold-trimmed, black waistcoat, often left open and untucked, exposing his bare chest, a gold-trimmed, black cloth around his waist that reached his knees, held by a leather brown belt with an oval-shaped silver buckle, white knee-length trousers with black ribbon ties, a thick black wristband on his left wrist, black open-toed sandals and the scale-patterned scarf.
Talking with him was a girl around the same age, a young, petite girl with short, white hair and blue eyes, and she wore a short, dark red dress with a white collar and bow.
"So, how was your quest, Natsu," She asked him as Natsu shrugged.
"It was alright, but it was only a B-Rank quest, nothing really," He said as the girl rolled her eyes, "I mean, I had to hunt down a Toramata, but that was too easy for a dragon slayer," Natsu told her as he shook his head.
"What do you mean they are giant sabertooth cats with six legs," She asked him with a raised brow as he nodded, "Natsu, if that's the problem, then why don't you go do some hunting then," She asked him.
"I would like to do that, Lisanna, but something is telling me that something important is going to happen today, and it's going to change the world," Natsu said as another white-haired girl walked over to them dressed in a long ankle-length black dress.
"What do you mean something important is going to happen," She asked him as she filled drinks for both of them.
"The dragon within me is saying that something is coming, and I have to be here," Natsu said as they looked at him.
"What do you mean," The girl behind the bar asked.
"Like both of you, your Take Over magic makes you have interlinks like animals or high-class devils. Mine is like that of a dragon, and they are telling me that something is going to happen," Natsu said as both girls looked at him before they nodded, getting to what he was saying.
"Hey, Natsu, can we go fishing," A blue cat asked him as it walked over on two legs.
"Mabey later, Happy," Natsu told the cat, who nodded and pulled out a fish from the green bag on its back.
Over on another side stood a short elderly man with black eyes, round white hair, a sizeable bailing spot on his head, and a thick white moustache.
He wore a white coat with white fur around the edges and black pants.
He was talking to a girl with long scarlet hair and brown eyes dressed in armour that covered her torso and arms, along with a blue skirt and black boots that reached her knees.
"Something is bothering Natsu today," The man said as he looked across the hall to where Natsu was talking with both white-haired women.
"I know, fights have broken out today, and Natsu has not moved from that stop," The girl next to him said, "And I have to say I am frightened of what is going on with him," She said as the man nodded.
"I am as well," He said as he approached Natsu.
Natsu saw them both walk over and turned to them, "Hey, gramps, Erza, how are you," Natsu asked them.
"We are doing fine, my boy, but how are you," The man asked him.
"I'm fine," Natsu said with a smile.
"Then why have you not participated in any of the fights today," Ezra asked him as Natsu opened his mouth, but Lisanna beat him.
"He says something is going to happen today, and the dragon part of him is telling him to stay here and wait for it," She told them as the man rubbed his chin.
"Could it have to do with the tale you told me about," Happy said as Natsu looked at Happy.
"Tale," The man asked.
"It's a legend and a goal for all dragons and dragon slayers," Natsu said sharply, shocking everyone around him as they had never seen him do that, "Sorry, Gramps, this one that you don't joke about with anyone and calling it a tale is a joke to the dragons," Natsu said as the man nodded.
"That's alright, my boy; can you tell me this legend," He asked as Natsu nodded.
"Hundreds of millions of years of go, Dezeha, goddess and mother to all dragons, called forth her power and created the ten primordial dragons, each of them taking control and mastering an element, for the fire was, Thordak, the cinder king, water had Leviathan, the mistress of the sea, thunder was, Zekrom th lord of ideals, the element of the sky was, Rayquaza, king of the heavens-," Natsu was saying before a woman's voice continued after him.
"For the land, I birth Adamanquartz, the lord of gems; ice held my daughter Trishula, the ice bringer, with her husband taking the element of wood, which was Czelzarl, the lumbering titan," The voice said as Natsu's eyes were wide open as he turned to the door, "The dragon that was given the element of light was Bahamut, the justice bringer, the one with metal as her element was Adelaide, the lady of silver and finally was my last child who was the element of darkness," She said as everyone turned to look at her.
She was a tall woman with long platinum hair that flowed gracefully behind her.
Her eyes were a rainbow of colours that never stopped on one colour, and they were not the eyes of a human or a reptile.
And while she was barefoot, she was wearing a long black dress.
"Oh, I'm sorry, son of Igneel, please continue the legend," she said as she walked over and sat down not far from Natsu.
Everyone looked at her.
"Y-y-yes, m'lady," Natsu said as he bowed his head, "And the element of darkness was taken by Alduin, the world ender, and with the other two creator gods making mankind, Dezeha watched over her ten children, not seeing that one would gain a seed of evil, Alduin, and when that seed sprouted it caused a war so great and yet so evil that it was scared from history so it would be forgotten to time," Natsu said as people looked over to him as he spoke but kept an eye on the woman.
"But one day, a human rose up and fought against Alduin's evil, and when he fought the mighty Wyrm, the battle was so great that the land, sea, and sky itself could not hold the power of these two," Natsu said as people started to get drawn into the legend, "After there battle both lay dying on the ground with the human being accepted as a god and pulled up to the holy land but Alduin spoke cures that day, he used his power to say that he would return one day and all would now that he was the world ender and only someone born from the great four races would be the one to kill him," He finished before looking a the woman.
"You spoke of the legend well, young dragon slayer," The woman said to Natsu with a nod.
"Thank you for your kind words, m'lady," Natsu said as he bowed his head.
"Hey, match stick, who is she," A teen with black hair asked Natsu, who looked over at him.
"Oh, how silly of me," The woman said as she started to leak out power; people froze as they looked at her, "I am Dezeha, the dragon goddess as well as the mother to them all," She said as the older man looked to Natsu.
"Is she telling the truth," He asked Natsu.
"Yes," Natsu said as Dezeha looked at Natsu.
"And now, for the reason why I am here, Natsu Dragneel, son of Igneel, the fire dragon king, I, the mother of dragons, say that it is your time to find the one; go out and find the one that will end Alduin's rebirth," She told Natsu who nodded.
He got off his stool and knelt down, bowing to Dezeha, "I understand, m'lady, and I shall search even if I may die," Natsu said as people looked at him in shock.
"Nat-," Happy said, but the elderly man stopped him.
"Lady Dezeha," He called out as the goddess turned to him.
"Yes, Makarov Dreyar," She asked as she looked down at him.
"I understand that Natsu is being sent on a quest, but it sounds like an S-Rank quest, and I have-" Makarov said, but Natsu stopped him.
"Gramps, this is something that only a dragon slayer or a dragon can do, as we will know who we are looking for," Natsu said as Makarov looked at Natsu and then back at Dezeha.
"If Natsu is sent on this quest, can I send others to make sure that he does not die in his search," Makarov asked the goddess.
"You may, but know this, only two can go with him," She told him as Makarov nodded and opened his mouth, "But they must do as he says and follow what he says; if he says run, they run," She said as he closed his mouth and nodded before looking around and picked the two.
"Erza and Mira, you two are going with Natsu," Makarov said as both girls nodded.
"Yes, master," Erza and the girl behind the bar said to him.
Happy looked shocked, but Natsu looked over from where he was lying.
"Happy, say with Lisanna until I get back," Natsu said as the blue cat nodded.
"Aye, sir," He told Natsu.
"Stand, Natsu Dragneel," Dezeha told him as Natsu stood up, "Go out and find the tallest mountain in the world to the east, and once you reach the peak, you shall find the next step for the journey ahead," She said as Natsu nodded as he stood up.
"Understood," Natsu said as the Dezeha started to glow and brought light before they teleported away as Makarov looked at Natsu.
"When will you be leaving, my boy," He asked Natsu, who looked at him.
"I have to get my bag of supplies, and both Erza and Mira need to do the same, so once they have only what they need, we'll head out," Natsu said as both girls nodded.
Three Hours Later
Natsu and Mira stood in the main hall of the guild hall as they waited for Erza to turn up.
"What is taking her so long," Natsu growled as he tapped his foot, and Mira looked over at him.
"What's the rush," She asked him, and she quickly flinched back at the look in his eyes.
"I have been given a quest by my goddess, and gramps told Erza and you to join me with me saying get only what you need, and she's not here," He growled out as Mira did not know what to say as both of the saw Erza arrive at the guild pulling it looked to be a cart will of suitcases.
Heat started to leak out of Natsu as Mira quickly went over to Erza, "What the fuck, red, Natsu along what was needed, and you have Re-Quip, so you don't need all this, and if you don't know we are seeing a pissed off dragon slayer here," Mira said as Erza looked confused before looking over to Natsu who was covered in flames from head to toe as he glared at her, "So please just pack a bag as you don't need all that so we can go and he can calm down," Mira asked her as she nodded.
They sorted out the suitcases and ensured everything was in a bag.
"Natsu, we're ready," Mira said as Natsu sighed as the flames around him went out.
"Alright, let's head out," Natsu said as he walked out and over to the woods with the girls following him.
"Natsu, why aren't we getting a train," Erza asked him as he shook his head.
"No, I know the path that goes there, and Igneel took me on it once, so I know where to go and how to get there, but if we took the train, I would not know if we're on the right path," Natsu told her as they tracked in silence.
"Natsu, why is this so important to you," Mira asked after a while as they walked.
"Aludn's next life is around, and he has been on a killing spree for a long time," Natsu said as the girls looked at each other in confusion.
"What do you mean," Erza asked him.
"The dragons had a war," Natsu said as he stopped to look at her, "On one side, there were the ones that wanted us as friends, children, lovers or something else, while the other side wanted us as nothing but food," He told them as the girls nodded.
"During the war, the side that liked us made a plan that would aid them in the war, and that plan was to create something that would end the war," Natsu said as Mira's eyes shot wide.
"They made the dragon slayers," She said as he nodded.
"Yes, from what Igneel told me, a dragon by the name of Belserion, the sage dragon, trained a queen in his magic, and then he, along with her, went around finding people to train in the art of Dragon Slayer Magic, where they fought side by side with the dragons that trained them, but one of them learned something dark about the magic," Natsu said as they continued walking once more but the girls wat by his side this time.
"Dark," Mira asked him.
"If a dragon slayer slays a dragon and drinks of the blood, their magic power will increase, allowing them to awaken the Dragon Force and even allow them to take the form of a dragon," Natsu told them as they were amazed, "But there is a downside to this power as they have to have control of there body and magic or they will become nothing but a wild beast that will hunt down everything," Natsu said as they looked at him in shock.
"Dragon slayers have that much power," Erza asked as Natsu nodded.
"We do, but back to the story, as a group of dragon slayers did not get enough of the bloodshed and started to kill every dragon they laid eyes on, and one of them became known as Dinok; it's the draconic word for death," Natsu told them.
Both girls were shocked by that.
"All every dragon and I know is that this dragon is the one that holds the soul of the world's end," Natsu said as they walked through the forest.
