The l/n family was one of the most reputed family in the wizarding world. Being the part of The Ancient 5. The l/n family's major strength was the family buisness in Brittain being the supplier of most of the raw materials in magical Brittain.
This buisness was the source of the wealth,power and stability. And gave the l/n family an upper hand in the first wizarding war helping the order of phoenix as well as the ministry of magic.
But the war ended on 31 October 1981 and The Dark Lord was defeated by a mere child named Harry Potter.
It had been near to four years since the night of Halloween and many death eaters were either put into Azkaban for thir crimes or they were given a clean chit on the basis that they were under imperious curse by He-who-must-not-be-named. But their was a small group who still followed Dark Lord's wishes and were doing harm to the magical and muggle worlds.
This caused a lot of stress on the auror department and Richard L/n as he was the head of the Auror department. There were not many traces of who was in this group except one face which was common on each incident, and that was of Cadmus Morfin Riddle.
It was the night of December 26th 1985. The L/n family was having a dinner together. Y/n was playing with his sister Sophia and his Grandfather Arcturus L/n.
Arcturus L/n was keeping an eye on the siblings while they were practicing sword duel. As Sophia was at the rookie level in sword duels Y/n was instructed by his Grand Father to go a little easy on his sister .
On the contrary the other half of the family was on the other side of the hall discussing about today's session at winzgemont. This whole ambience of the room changed when the house elf Trikky popped infront of Richard and said.
" Master Richard an auror named Rufus Scrimgeour is wanting to meet you and mistress"The house elf informed the Auror couple.
"Bring him in Trikky" Elizabeth told her politely to which Minky disapperated. Elizabeth quickly stood up and sommoned a dress robe for Richard which was quickly recipocated by Olivia, giving the formal robe to Arcturus.

Rufus was standing outside the L/n manor.
The manor as always looked beautiful and majestic.
As he moved towards the door to enter the mansion he's saw The L/n family's crest
with a lion on the centre embedded on the shield of a knight on the back while the shield was also holding 2 swords and there were 2 more lions at the back facing side ways and 2 ribbons at the bottom. On the first it wrote यदि भवतः शक्तिः नास्ति तर्हि भवतः शान्तिं याचयितुम् न शक्यते।
( This means If you dont have the power you cant ask for peace in Sanskrit)
Rufus didn't understand what was written on the first ribbon so he looked on the second one on which it read The L/n.
Before the Auror could say anything the Lion in the centre roared and said " What does the visitor want?" leaving Rufus startled. "I am Rufus Scrimgeour and I am here to visit Sir Richard " Rufus said and the knight nodded and Rufus entered a tiny cosy room.
Before he could say anything 2 house elves popped in out of no where and bowed towards Rufus Scrimgeour.
"Hello Mr. Scrimgeour, I am Trikky the senior house elf of this manor of the L/n family. And this is Minky, she will be serving you here in the waiting room until then I'll inform Master Richard about your arrival."
As she was about to leave Scrimgeour said " Can you do this a little quickly this matter is urgent." To which he got a nod and the house elf disapperated.
It have been only 5 minutes when Trikky came back and said " The L/n family is waiting for you in the hall as she said that Scrimgeour swiftly stood up and followed the house elf.
As he followed her to a large oak door Trikky put her hand on the door and mumbled something making the door open. And they entered the main hall of the manor.
The main hall was larger that Rufus imagined. At the centre their were 2 stairways joining at the top where the hall was situated. And above the stairs was the seating area where all the L/n were sitting.
As Rufus's eyes tracked all the beauty the hall had to offer he was brought back to reality when Richard asked "So Mr. Scrimgeour how may I help you?" This was the key to Rufus's mind as he yet again remembered why he was here. He said "Sir! WEe have got the information that another atack from Cadmus's group is going to happen today in the Diagon Alley!" he said in a rush
This caught Elizabeth's attention and she asked "How many Aurors are currently at the location Scrimgeour?"
"22 madam" replied the auror.
"Well we should go as quickly as possible to the location sweetheart" Richard said to Elizabeth.
"Yes we should." she said to Richard and turned to Olivia saying "Mum can you look after Y/n and Sophia until we return"
"Of course dear don't worry about the kids you two just take care" said Olivia while carrying a tired Sophia in her arms, her head rested on her shoulder.
And with that all three Aurors left the house and went to the site.

It had been two hours Y/n was reading Quidditch through ages and his sister was lying and sleeping beside him after throwing a tantrum about how she is not tired and will wait for mum and dad.
All the peace was broken when Trikky popped in panting, she said "The manor is under atack Master l/n you all need to rush out" said the house elf while panting.
"What?! But-" the rest wasn't heard as Lord L/n rushed to the floo network "It's not working!!"
"Trikky" he called out the head house elf of the family and said "All the house elves should hide in kitchen and none of you are coming to fight, I am not gonna risk all your lives. Is that clear!"
To which the elf replied "Ye-Yes Master L/n" and the eld popped away.
Y/n was panicking when Olivia picked up Sophie and gave her to Y/n saying "Hide in the room champ we'll stop them" and before Y/n could reply to her a boom was heard outside.
"The wards are broken they will be here soon quick son hide inside" Arcturus voice was so determined that Y/n just did what he was told to do. And he rushed to his Sister's room hiding and closed the door.
The main door of the l/n manor burst open revealing three men in black robes. One of them was a midium hight, pock-marked and grey greasy-haired wizard. The second man was a tall, blue eyed wizard. The third of them was the tallest among them with sleek black hair with dark eyes.
The three men were not hard to recognise due to their daily appearance in the Daily Prophet. They were Agustus Rookwood, Evan Roisier and Cadmus Morfin Riddle.
All three wizards were moving swiftly inside and before Arcturus could say or do something a green light flashed from Roisier's wand hitting Olivia and she fell on the floor, dead.
"No-" was the only voice that came from Arcturus's throat before he fired a spell towards Evan, completely knocking him down.
Then the battle began between Arcturus and the 2 dark wizards. Y/n watched all this scene, he was completely shaken from the scene that was happening just outside the room he was hiding. After a moment or two his head moved towards the bed where his sister was sleeping and rushed to her waking her up silently.
"Y/n what-" but before Sophia could say another word Y/n shushed her and instructed her to follow him silently.
Sophia did as she told and followed her brother to the bookshelf before she heard another crash outside the room.
"Y/n wh-what is going on"she asked on the verge of crying.
Before replying Y/n pulled a book from the bookshelf revealing a hidden room. As the room was in view he said "This is a secret room dad told me about Sophie." He hugged her and continued " You'll be safe inside. Just dont come outside until someone from outside opens it, ok!" Kissing her forehead he told Sophia to hide inside to which Sophia obeyed.
After making sure Sophia is secured Y/n once again rushed to the door but it was too late his grandparents were drop dead on the floor.
He gasped at the sight, which caught Rosier
attention.
"Did you hear that" he asked his fellow crew to which Riddle took his wand out and casted " Humenum Revelio" and his smirk grew.
"Friends I guess we have another target" and after that he rushed in the room Y/n was hiding.
"Well well well" was all that Riddle said before pointing his wand on Y/n and then the manor was filled with screams of little Y/n.
This went on for nearly 20 minutes when another step was heard from behind. Y/n was not able to see who it was but the trio did and they saw a furious Richard standing on the entrance of the manor so they did what any sane person would do they disapperated. Elizabeth rushed towards her boy hugging him tight.
All Y/n could say was " So-Sophie is in the hideout" before passing out
