Summary:

Halloween never happened in 1981

Harry grew up alongside his twin brother Nicolas in Godric's Hollow

The prophecy was never heard

Voldemort hasn't been stopped yet

Harry will later go to Durmstrang

Some of you may know the FF of "The Santi" Harry Potter and the Boy Woh Lived. This FF will overlap a lot with this story in the beginning. It will not be exactly the same, but the beginnings of the story will be similar.

The story follows Harry through the war and shows how he builds his life

Probably disowned by their own family

The story begins slowly. I first try to write something about the situation and the characters.

This is my first FF. I was always a silent reader. And that's just with English FF's. I'm open to criticism, but if you don't like something, you're welcome to read other stories. I hope to add a new chapter to the story once a month

Potter and all that you know is not mine. The idea of sending a hapless Harry from Hogwarts to Durmstrang came from "The Santi"

Have fun

1 1981

It's a quiet, not too warm afternoon in Godric's Hollow. The first withered leaves have already fallen from the trees and signal the approaching winter.

Godric's Hollow is a small village in the west of England. The houses are not too big, but they all have a small front garden. It looks peaceful, people know each other and say hello to each other on the street. In the evening, some fathers can be found in the small pub next to the church, while there children play outside.

On the edge of Godric's Hollow stands a lonely and abandoned house. The little garden door hangs half out of its hinges and squeaks softly in the wind. The lawn has grown so high that you can only guess the cobbled path to the house. The house itself looks more like a ruin than anything else. The roof looks as if it had been thrown down by the wind, torn into thousands of pieces and scattered in the garden. The windows are broken and the paint is already peeling off the walls.

The children tell scary stories about the house. They challenge each other to run through the front yard to the door. But when they try, they suddenly remember that they desperately need to get home to their mommy.

The villagers are clueless. You don't know who owns the house or the land. Not the community at all. And so they are powerless and have to put up with the ruin that disfigures their beautiful village. Unaware that a small family of five had built their nest in it.

Carefully hidden behind the Fidelius spell and several camouflage spells.

Lily and James Potter are very busy people. After passing Hogwarts with top marks, James Potter joined the Aurors along with his best friend Sirius Black. Both of them made a name for themselves among their colleagues during their three-year training. It quickly became clear that James and Sirius had not only been accepted because James's father, Charlus, was the head of the auroras department.

After Hogwarts, Lily completed her Master's degree in Potions at Hogwarts and still brews the potions needed by the Order. Albus Dumbledore had asked her, James, Sirius, Remus, James, Sirius, Remus and Peter at the end of their graduation ceremony if they all wanted to join and they have always been integral parts of the Order.

A year after Hogwarts, Lily and James got married. Despite the tense situation with Voldemort, it was a nice celebration. James' parents Charlus and Dorea welcomed Lily into the family with open arms and gave them a small detached house in Godric's Hollow. The village that Godric Gryffindor once founded and built.

Two years later, Harry and Nicolas were born in Godric's Hollow. Lily had just passed the Master's and James had passed the Auror training. But the birth of two boys changed everything. If James had previously seen life as a great adventure, he has now woken up through the training and the boys. He is grateful for every day he gets to come home to his little family.

Lily is fully absorbed in her new role as a mother. Her first priority now is Harry and Nicolas. She still attends meetings of the order and brews the required potions, but she does so more as a sideline than anything else.

Harry Potter is the older of the twins and looks incredibly like his father. On his head he has a small black mob that already looks constantly disheveled. James, of course, thought this was incredibly funny and after work, he kept going through Harry's hair to make it even more messy.

"My littel man ", James called out as he came home from work today also very late.

Lily, who was standing in the living room, rocking Harry slightly, smiles at her husband. "You are late. Did something happen?" she asked

"Frank was ambushed with his unit. The Death Eaters have attacked a village in southern England that belonged to a Muggle-born man. We were actually told that the Death Eaters had left the area a long time ago, but when Frank got there, they came out of their holes and attacked." James sighed as he ran to his wife. He ruffled his hair and looked exhausted.

He made arrangements to take Harry and Lily gave him to James. "I'll heat up your dinner. Maybe you can get Harry back to sleep.

Nicolas is fast asleep in his bed," said Lily as she disappeared towards the kitchen.

James looked into the big green eyes of his eldest son, who was looking at him wearily. His round face was slightly red, probably because he had been crying recently. "Little man, what happened? "Did you have a nightmare?" James began to rock Harry gently and spoke to him in a low, soothing voice.

Harry actually seemed to calm down and James took him upstairs to his room to share with his brother. He carefully placed Harry next to his brother and gently stroked his head. "But don't tell your mom I did it again," James said with a grin. He leaned slightly forward so that he could also give his younger son, who was sleeping in the cradle, a kiss on the forehead.

For a moment he looked at his two sleeping boys. Even though the two were twins, they didn't look particularly alike. Harry had inherited his black hair and looked like a little mini James. His mother had compared pictures of him and Harry one afternoon and James had to admit that Harry resembled him in every way. Except for his huge green eyes, which he got from his mother. Two emeralds that followed everyone attentively and with interest.

Nicolas Charlus was minimally smaller than his brother. Lily's hair color came through. But not a bright red like his Lily, but rather a dark, rich red that almost goes into a light brown tone. His small facial features are again more reminiscent of James but were a lot softer than his. The little snub nose on his face was all Lily and if Nicolas was awake now, James would be looking into hazel eyes that were looking out at the world, waiting to grow older and cause a lot of mischief.

Quietly, James turned away from the two of them and joined his wife in the kitchen. Lily was busy cleaning up the remaining dishes when he came in. "You know that magic makes things go faster, don't you, Lils?" he asked her with a crooked smile.

"I know," Lily sighed. "But I already do so much magic during the day, I don't want to make everything easier for myself. A little hard work doesn't hurt, and besides, my mama showed me that way" She looked just as exhausted as he felt.

Voldemort became more and more aggressive. When he and Lily were still at school, they barely noticed. Now, outside the safe confines of the castle walls, they were regularly bombarded with bad news. There are no rules anymore, Voldemort was unpredictable, no one knows where he will strike next. Lily and James also had to pay their first tribute.

Three months earlier, Voldemort had attacked the New Year's Day parade in London. Or attack a lot more. Lily and James, who had spent New Year's Eve with their friends in Grimmauld Place 12, were roused from their sleep early when Charles's patron came to inform them. James and Sirius immediately apparated to Trafalgar Square and found themselves in complete chaos. Curses were flying in all directions, people were desperately looking for ways to escape and there were small explosions to the right and left.

The Death Eaters fled quickly after so many Auroras appeared. But it was still a victory for Voldemort. More than 60 Muggles died that day and the Committee of Secrecy struggled to cover up the incident. Several muggles had to have their memories erased and the damage to the road repaired. James was helping to put a house back in order when he was suddenly pulled aside by his colleague Kingsley. And from there, James can't remember exactly everything that happened. James wanted to tell Lily himself.

The funerals of Nicolas and Samantha Evans took place at a private service in Surrey. Sirius and Remus had looked after Harry and Nicolas while their parents said goodbye to their grandparents. James didn't know who exactly was responsible for her death, but he vowed to watch over his family and protect them all on the night of her funeral. Come what may.

The New Year's Day incident, as it was retrospectively known, was the first attack specifically targeting Muggles. Previously, Voldemort and his followers had targeted only Muggles and perhaps some half-bloods. But with this attack, they clearly showed how brutal and heartless they were. They killed more than 60 people in a few minutes and almost betrayed the existence of witches and wizards.

It was a momentous event in the magical population. Previously, Voldemort had only attacked individuals who stood in his way.

The rest were relatively safe as long as their blood status was clean. But after the attack on Muggle London, witches and wizards were also openly attacked in Diagon Alley. No one was safe who was not one hundred percent on Voldemort's side. People reacted by hiding at home and rarely leaving the house. They were scared and didn't know who to trust anymore.

"Here, don't burn yourself. The soup is really hot," Lily said, bringing him out of his ruminations.

"Thanks, Lils," James said and began to eat the soup carefully. "How are you? "I know I haven't been there for you as much as I should have been lately," James said.

"It was a lot. But Harry and Nicolas are a good distraction. I think Harry is getting his first tooth. He's been a little bit sore the last couple of days."

"And this is right now, when they're both sleeping through the night," James joked. "Frank has already asked me where my dark circles are. "Seems like little Neville is still keeping Frank and Alice on their toes," he added with a laugh.

"Poor Alice. She's a hopeless late riser, just like you are," Lily said, laughing.

"Hey!" James said as he quickly put on an offended face, which only made Lily smirk even more.

Lily quietly watched James eat and enjoyed not being alone. Sure, Harry and Nicolas have been with her all day, but the two aren't on speaking terms yet. In addition, James has been away a lot lately and if the two of them had some time, Order meetings got in the way.

After a while, Lily said quietly, "I miss her. Mum and Dad were so pleased for the boys. And now they can't see them grow up." Tuney doesn't want any more contact either. I tried to call her today," Lily said, hanging her head.

James sighed softly, stood up and walked over to his wife. He carefully pulled her up from the chair and took her in his arms. "I love you, Lilly. Your parents would be so proud of you if they could see how you are coping with all of this. They're looking down on us now, making sure we're raising Harry and Nicolas to be decent young men, and will give us hell later if we don't," James tried to reassure her. "And if Petunia doesn't want any contact with us, then we have to understand that, Lils. It may even be better for you.

Maybe she won't get dragged into this war," James said.

Lily sniffled and quietly agreed with James. The two went to bed shortly after and enjoyed their time together.
