A/N: As you know if you've read some of my previous fanfics, the Mario's Galactic Tale Shared Universe (MGTU) that I've created started in August 2021 with the original story, "Mario's Galactic Tale," and now includes 10 fanfics, over 330,000 words, and a whole lot of crossovers. And in the next few days I'll be posting the first chapter of the shared universe's eleventh installment, "Deadpool: Guardians of the Multiverse vs. Purpleforce Council," which will revisit plot elements from several of the other MGTU fanfics. Recently I've come across a couple other long series of fics or shared universes on FFN that have occasionally posted a summary of events so far, so in light of that, I thought it was high time I did the same for the MGTU. This summary covers all the events in the MGTU fanfics that I've written so far to serve as either a quick refresher or a "jumping-on point" if you don't want to wade through hundreds of thousands of words to understand future MGTU installments I post. I plan to update this from time to time going forward as I continue writing the MGTU itself. On my profile page, I have the MGTU stories broken down into a suggested reading order, and I'll be sticking with that order in my summary, which is why some of the fanfics are broken into smaller sections. Also, this might go without saying, but there is A LOT that I had to gloss over to write this summary, and I do give unequal weight to the multiverse- and crossover-related plot points since they're the most crucial to understanding the whole saga. I hope this is helpful :)

* Deadpool's Tomorrow War

In late 2021 in an alternate universe where the MCU and Fox X-Men movies more or less coexist, the world has become overrun with Murder Hornets. Deadpool and Cable decide to time-travel to the future to collect a sample of a Murder Hornet-killing pesticide that is invented in 2024 and bring it back to the present. Their heist is briefly interrupted by Colossus and Magik, who show up in the X-Men's jet, but Deadpool and Cable make it back to the present with the pesticide and stop the Murder Hornet infestation. In the epilogue, Deadpool remarks that doing so created a new timeline (Earth-TRN937) that was soon invaded by multiverse-hopping zombies, which he finally stopped after travelling back in time over and over again to defeat them.

* Deadpool Goes to Court

Note: I wrote this fanfic before the second season of Loki came out, so if you're wondering why events in here contradict what was established in S2, that's why.

Deadpool is brought to court before Sylvie, Loki's female variant, who has taken over the Time Variance Authority and has accused Deadpool of creating 171 new timelines in under two hours while trying to stop the zombie invasion. He is found guilty and sentenced to catalog all these new universes by the TVA's naming standards. While he's doing this under Sylvie's supervision, a Timedoor opens and Loki appears (the variant of Loki from the Loki series). Loki recalls that after the confrontation with He Who Remains at the end of Loki S1, he ended up in another universe that suddenly started melting away into black slime before he showed up. Sylvie remembers reading about a gigantic, octopus-like monster called Shuma-Gorath that He Who Remains had once used to destroy entire universes during the multiversal war between him and his variants, and she deduces that Shuma-Gorath is destroying the universe Loki arrived from.

They then realize that Shuma-Gorath's next target is Earth-TRN937, which will destroy that timeline and all the ones branching off it that Deadpool created. They plan to head to Earth-TRN1107 and have Doctor Strange evacuate as many people from it as possible, only to find that Magik has become the new Sorcerer Supreme after Doctor Strange was killed during the zombie invasion. They manage to save Deadpool's allies Firefist, Domino, Cable, Dopiner, Yukio, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Colossus and bring them, along with Magik, back to Sylvie's extra-multiversal base in the Citadel at the End of Time to try to find a way to stop Shuma-Gorath.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 1 – Chapter 13

Note: This fanfic chronicles Mario's adventures through Super Mario Galaxy 2, which in this timeline (later designated Earth-6488) happens in mid-2015, about two years after Super Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury and two years before Super Mario Odyssey.

Mario gets an invitation from Peach to attend the Star Festival, which he accepts. On the way there he encounters a Baby Luma, who gives him the power to Star-Spin again. During the festival, Bowser, who is now gigantic, attacks and kidnaps Peach, claiming he wants her to bake him a cake for his upcoming 275th birthday. Bowser gets away and Mario reluctantly heads after him, arriving in the Sky Station Galaxy. There, he gets sick of a Luma's rambling on about Bowser's attack and Star-Spins the Luma away, resulting in the galaxy's entire Luma population chasing him. Mario eventually falls off a planet and gets sucked into a black hole; when he respawns, the Lumas declare them even now. At the end of the level, Mario battles Peewee Piranha and collects a Power Star, and is teleported to a barren asteroid. There, he meets the Lumas' leader Lubba, who immediately gets on his nerves, and uses the energy from the Power Star to transform the asteroid into a spaceship called Starship Mario that Mario can use to collect more Power Stars. Mario heads back to the Sky Station Galaxy the next day to collect its second Power Star.

The following morning, Mario instead heads to the Yoshi Star Galaxy to collect its first Power Star, running into Yoshi. Mario remarks about being puzzled by how often Yoshi introduces himself to Mario as though they've never met before, and introduces his running theory that there is no one true "Yoshi," but rather many Yoshis Mario has known over the years. Upon returning to Starship Mario, Lubba tells Mario about the Comet Medals in each galaxy that he can collect to make additional levels called Prankster Comets appear, but Mario doesn't believe him because, in his previous galactic adventure in 2007, he didn't need to collect Comet Medals. Next, Mario heads to the Spin-Dig Galaxy to get another Power Star (and meets up with the Toad Brigade, who return to Starship Mario with him), after which he calls a Hungry Luma to Starship Mario to feed him a bunch of Star Bits that he has collected to form a new galaxy. In the time it takes the Hungry Luma to arrive, he gets another Power Star from the Spin-Dig Galaxy. When the Hungry Luma arrives, his smug attitude annoys Mario, who ends up launching all his Star Bits at the Luma's face rather than feeding him, exhausting his supply of Star Bits.

The following day, Lubba mockingly mentions the "incident" yesterday to Mario, and then offers to give Mario more Star Bits to feed the Hungry Luma, which he obliges by puking Star Bits all over the helm. Mario shouts and falls backwards over the helm, accidentally calling the Hungry Luma again. When the Luma arrives, he proceeds to eat the Star Bits Lubba threw up, calling it "Star Bit Soup," and then transforms into the Flip-Swap Galaxy. Mario heads there, and partway through the level, Baby Luma abandons him to chase after a comet that flies by overhead, shouting "MAMA!" as he leaves. Mario is forced to navigate the rest of the level without the crucial ability to Star-Spin (which ends in him losing almost all of his clothes), but eventually Baby Luma returns and he finishes the level. The following morning, with his regular costume gone, Mario's only remaining changes of clothes are his tux and pajamas, which he refuses to wear while adventuring, so he's stuck on Starship Mario until he finds a solution. During that day, his situation with Lubba continues to deteriorate, which culminates in a bunch of "meteors," that turn out to be the clothes Mario lost the previous day, pelting Starship Mario.

* Bowsette and the 2014 Annual Kidnapping of Peach

In March 2014, Mario heads to Peach's Castle to celebrate the first day of spring, which is normally a couple months before Bowser's annual attack to try to kidnap Peach. However, upon arriving at the castle, Mario finds that Bowser is in fact attacking that day, having used the Super Crown power-up to transform into Bowsette (or, as Mario insists on calling her, Peachser). Mario and Peach are able to fight off Bowsette, while Captain Toad and Toadsworth are completely useless.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 14 – Chapter 16

The morning after the meteors incident, Mario finds that Lubba washed his clothes but didn't separate the darks and lights, and all the colors have bled into each other. Mario heads to the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, where he finds Blue Toad of the Toad Brigade, despite the fact that the Toad Brigade is supposedly back on Starship Mario. Mario gets confused when Blue Toad mentions the Brigade's "new captain," and Blue Toad recounts how the first Captain Toad (from Super Mario Galaxy) was fired in 2009 for not stopping Bowser from kidnapping Peach in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, then the second Captain Toad (from Super Mario 3D World) was fired in 2014 after Bowsette's attack, and the new Captain Toad joined the Brigade later in 2014. Blue Toad says the Toad Brigade was able to make it to the Spin-Dig Galaxy by finding a shunpike around the Star Barrier after the Yoshi Star Galaxy that otherwise required three Power Stars to bypass, but refuses to tell Mario where the shunpikes that the Toad Brigade knows about are, claiming it would be more fun for him to discover himself. Throughout the rest of the level, Mario is menaced by Flaptacks (blue, bird-like enemies that Mario calls Spiky Spikepeckers) who take offense after Mario flips off one of them. After losing several lives to the Spikepeckers, Mario is finally able to defeat them, and collects the galaxy's Secret Power Star.

* Deadpool: Guardians of the Multiverse

Picking up where "Deadpool Goes to Court" left off, Deadpool, Sylvie, and Loki have managed to save people from many of the universes that have been targeted by Shuma-Gorath, including variants of Harley Quinn, Captain Ahab, James Bond, Peter Rabbit, and the Wizard of Oz. Loki arrives from Earth-119 (the Star Wars universe) and says that his negotiations to borrow a fleet of starfighters to use against Shuma-Gorath were successful. They take the ships into battle, along with a group of creatures called Reapers that live in the Citadel at the End of Time. During the battle, Deadpool's ship is whacked into a random timeline, which happens to be the universe of Frosty the Snowman. Deadpool kills Frosty, who he can't stand, before returning to the battle and soon getting flung into another universe, where his ship lands at a castle in outer space. There, he runs into a variant of Mario, who surprises him with his cranky attitude and gets mad after Deadpool mentions killing Frosty the Snowman. Deadpool beats up Mario just to teach him a lesson, then returns to the battle again. The others realize the only way to defeat Shuma-Gorath is to fly one of their ships right into his eye and urge Deadpool to do it, since he can't die, but he protests since then he can't relay the events of the battle to readers. Sylvie ultimately enchants Deadpool into doing it, and the resulting explosion knocks him out. Two days later, he wakes up in the Citadel and learns that Sylvie has put together a team, the Guardians of the Multiverse, to watch out for any future threats like Shuma-Gorath. Loki, Harley Quinn, Sorcerer Supreme Magik, and Rose and the Doctor from Doctor Who have already joined, as does Deadpool.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 17 – Chapter 25

Mario returns to Starship Mario to find that Banktoad has just arrived, telling Mario that Interim Princess Peachette (Toadette powered up with a Super Crown, who is ruling the Mushroom Kingdom until Peach returns) sent him. Mario then heads to the final galaxy in World 1, Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla, which is a giant castle in outer space. As soon as he arrives, though, Deadpool's ship arrives (from "Guardians of the Multiverse") and the two get into a confrontation. Mario misunderstands Deadpool (who introduced himself as "the Merc with a Mouth," which Mario mishears as "the Murk") and thinks that Frosty the Snowman was the name of an ally Mario encountered years before. Thinking Deadpool killed that character, Mario attacks him, but is defeated and Deadpool gets away. Mario assumes that Deadpool is in league with Bowser and vows to get revenge on him at some point.

In a brief interlude, Bowser Jr. details the behind-the-scenes drama that ensued when Bowser was planning out Super Mario Galaxy 2.

After making his way through the rest of the Fiery Flotilla, Mario encounters Bowser Jr., who has no idea where Deadpool came from but sends a giant snake-dragon called Gobblegut after Mario. Mario defeats Gobblegut and acquires a Grand Star, allowing him to progress to World 2. The following morning, Mario tries to clean his clothes again to return their colors to normal but just ends up making the situation even worse. He looks around the entire Starship, including Lubba's room, for a pair of gloves he can borrow, but Lubba finds him in his room and another argument starts between the two. Mario heads to the Puzzle Plank Galaxy and gets another Power Star before turning in for the night.

The following morning, Mario wakes up to find his entire room trashed by Lubba, who then taunts him about it. Mario heads to the Hightail Falls Galaxy with Yoshi and they collect the next Power Star. The following day, Captain Toad (who reveals his real name is Bartholomew) presents Mario with a birthday present that he says Lubba picked out for him but is from Lubba and the Brigade, who have no idea what it is. Immediately skeptical of the present, Mario kicks it off the Toad Brigade's Starshroom towards Starship Mario, where it lands on Lubba, revealing that in the box was a dead Scaredy Rat. Lubba gets mad at Mario, who commandeers the Starshroom and flies away with the rest of the Toad Brigade.

* Deadpool: Guardians of the Multiverse: The Continuation Chapter 1 – Chapter 12

After the events of "Deadpool: Guardians of the Multiverse," most of the refugees from the universes Shuma-Gorath destroyed are living in Earth-616 (the main or "Sacred Timeline" from the MCU multiverse). Several months later, Sylvie reassembles the Guardians to investigate a multiversal energy signature in Earth-616, and they discover it was caused by several Sentinels (from The Matrix) stealing a stash of vibranium from Wakanda. Later that day, while Deadpool is preparing to watch the Super Bowl and the other Guardians are trying to figure out where the Sentinels came from a Dalek (from Doctor Who) made of vibranium attacks them, destroying Deadpool's katanas and TV before it is defeated.

The following day, Deadpool and Harley Quinn head to the New Avengers Compound to try to convince Sam Wilson/Captain America to give them Thanos' giant double-bladed sword that he used in Endgame so Deadpool can make a pair of new katanas from it, but Sam, who is none too pleased to see Deadpool, informs them that the sword disintegrated with the rest of the Black Order. Deadpool then uses the TemPad he took from Sylvie's Citadel to travel back in time to the Battle of Earth from Endgame with Harley, creating new timeline Earth-TRN1111. They end up altering the battle and Deadpool gets the Infinity Gauntlet, which he uses to wipe out most of the Black Order but also transport himself, Harley, and Thanos' weapon onto the Sanctuary II. He and Harley then hook up their TemPad to the Sanctuary II, which Deadpool renames the Carlysle, and use that to fly it back to Earth-616. Sylvie and the other Guardians detect this and show up, taking Deadpool, Harley, and the Carlysle back to the Citadel, while returning the Infinity Gauntlet to Earth-TRN1111.

After a brief spat between Deadpool and Loki, Sylvie informs everyone that she traced the Sentinels back to Earth-9466 and the vibranium Dalek back to Earth-328767, and then detected a strange energy surge linking the two realities. The Guardians head out to investigate and arrive at the Machine City of Earth-9466, in which the machine army wiped out Zion at the end of The Matrix Revolutions and the human resistance against the machines was destroyed. They discover a universe-linking portal called a planegate above the Machine City, and on the other side of it is the Crucible, the Daleks' flagship from Earth-328767, in which they detonated a device called a Reality Bomb that vaporized everything in the universe except the Daleks. They also find out that each universe ended up with part of Shuma-Gorath's brain after he exploded at the end of "Guardians of the Multiverse," and the persisting psychic link between the parts of his brain is what allowed the planegate to exist. Several Sentinels then notice and attack the Guardians, but they escape.

Back at the Citadel, Sylvie urges that they take time to think of a solid plan to stop the Sentinels and Daleks from threatening the rest of the multiverse rather than just rushing into battle. Later that night, Deadpool and Harley decide to go against her orders, recruiting their own team of antiheroes to return to Earth-9466 and destroy the planegate. From various other realities, they recruit Huntress, Black Canary, a Sorcerer Supreme variant of Colleen Wing, Geralt of Rivia, John Wick, and bounty hunter Cad Bane. They use Bane's spaceship, the Justifier, to launch their attack, and make it through most of the Machine City's defenses, but they then get swarmed by Sentinels. Black Canary uses a sonic scream to destroy the planegate, but before it completely shuts down, it starts malfunctioning and jumping to random points all across the multiverse. In that time, an explosive detonates right next to Cad Bane, flinging him into the planegate to an unknown location. As they get overrun by Sentinels, Magik arrives and teleports them back to the Citadel, telling them they have a lot of explaining to do.

Meanwhile, Cad Bane wakes up in a strange meadow, where he is greeted by a Toad from Super Mario, who welcomes him to the Mushroom Kingdom and is intrigued by his cowboy-like attire, blue skin, and red eyes.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 26 – Chapter 32

Mario and the Toad Brigade head to the Cosmic Cove Galaxy (whose name Mario is perpetually unable to remember), and on the way there, Mario reads an issue of The Galaxy Times that reports that, back in the Mushroom Kingdom, millionaire Jay Gatshroom was killed by a "blue cowboy." Mario collects the first Power Star from the Cosmic Cove Galaxy, but when he arrives back on the Starshroom, he sees Lubba flying towards them with Starship Mario. The two ships engage in a battle, but the Starshroom eventually gets shot down and falls through a shunpike (whose existence Mario still refuses to believe in) next to the Cosmic Cove Galaxy, which leads back to the Rightside Down Galaxy in World 1. While the Toad Brigade tries to fix the Starshroom, Mario starts the level, and in the process runs into the "Not-Toad Brigade," several costumed Goombas pretending to be the actual Toad Brigade, leading him to suspect that the Blue Toad he met back in the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy was also a Goomba in disguise. He eventually completes the level, but is sent back to Starship Mario, thanks to an Interceptor device that Lubba used to alter his trajectory. Lubba chases Mario around the Starship but ends up getting stuck under a small footbridge on the Starship and is unable to free himself.

Early the following morning, Yoshi wakes Mario to warn him that Lubba is trying to free himself from the bridge. Mario reveals his plan to get rid of Lubba by heading to Bowser's base at the end of World 2 and trade Lubba for Peach, but he still needs four more Power Stars before he can pass the Star Barrier in front of Bowser's base. He first heads back to the Hightail Falls Galaxy and collects the Secret Power Star there, then returns to the Cosmic Cove Galaxy. While collecting the Secret Power Star there, he has to chase a Star Bunny, a creature whose persistent habit of punctuating sentences with the word "Boiyoing!" annoys Mario, as he thinks that's the Star Bunny's way of cursing at him. After losing several lives, he finally collects the Power Star. Next he heads to the Wild Glide Galaxy, but there loses his final life, sending him back to Starship Mario and making him lose all his Star Bits. He heads back to the Wild Glide Galaxy and attempts the level again, this time successfully, but upon his return to Starship Mario, ends up Intercepted once again and locked in Lubba's closet, where Yoshi is also trapped. They escape through a vent in the ceiling and make it to the helm, where Banktoad and Mailtoad (the only two Brigade members not stranded in the Rightside Down Galaxy) are. Mario escapes to the Yoshi Star Galaxy to get the last Power Star he needs to unlock Bowser's base, while Yoshi, Banktoad, and Mailtoad stay behind to battle Lubba.

* The Last Will and Testament of Marfy, Last of the Green Thwomps

In early 2012, Marfy, a Green Thwomp imprisoned in Bowser's Supermax Penal Facility a.k.a. N64 Bowser's Castle, recounts how he was imprisoned by Bowser after beating him up back in 1990 and receiving a 1,274,284,752,857-year prison sentence. He also complains how everyone thinks his name is Marty even though it is actually Marfy.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 33 – Annual Special 1

Mario arrives in the Yoshi Star Galaxy, where he encounters a Lakitu who claims he is defecting from the Koopa Troop and wants to help Mario. The Lakitu also calls him Marty, after the imprisoned Green Thwomp, and says the names Marty and Mario are so similar he always confuses them. Mario hatches a Yoshi egg and is surprised to see Yoshi emerge, as Yoshi is back on Starship Mario fighting Lubba, but Yoshi explains that he's in both places at once and sees the two environments like a split-screen in movies. Mario ends up having to leave the Lakitu behind while heading to the next planet, but later in the level encounters two more Lakitus who claim to be defecting, leading him to realize that they were all lying to him. Yoshi reports that, back on Starship Mario, he, Banktoad, and Mailtoad have all gotten trapped in the bathroom by Lubba, but Mailtoad managed to destroy the Interceptor before he got trapped. Mario and Yoshi complete the level, and Mario heads back to the Starship, where he is confronted by Lubba, other Lumas, and the Starship's resident Star Bunny, who Mario had previously gotten into a fight with. Mario manages to get belowdecks and free Yoshi, Mailtoad, and Banktoad, then tells them to stay behind and deal with Lubba and the others while he heads to Bowser's Lava Lair (the base at the end of World 2) to try to organize the Lubba-Peach swap.

At Bowser's Lava Lair, Mario has another run-in with the Not-Toad Brigade, prior to the final battle with Bowser. Mario demands that he hand over Peach and Deadpool in exchange for Lubba, the Lumas, and Star Bunny, but Bowser refuses and has no idea who Deadpool/"The Murk" is. However, Bowser ends up revealing that he and Lubba went to college together and, after finding Lubba annoying, he vandalized Lubba's dorm and got expelled from college. But this led him to discover that he loved being mean and that was what led him down his path of villainy. After Mario sympathizes with Bowser's hatred of Lubba, Bowser unexpectedly breaks down, hands over his Grand Star, and teleports away. Upon arriving back at the Starship, Mario is informed that Lubba, the Lumas, and Star Bunny escaped on the small Berry Planetoid orbiting Starship Mario, which turned out to be another spaceship in disguise.

Mario steers the Starship into World 3, where Banktoad helps him locate a shunpike around a Star Barrier that will let him bypass most of the world, but upon approaching it, they discover that a Luma work crew is sealing up the shunpike because their existence destabilizes the fabric of the universe. Mario then heads to the Tall Trunk Galaxy and gets the first Power Star there.

In another interlude, Bowser Jr. reveals that after returning from his meeting with Mario at the end of World 2, Bowser is angrier than ever at Mario for making him feel something other than rage. Bowser orders a staff meeting, where he lashes out at minions over the most minor things. He then presents the minions with a newspaper ad where bounty hunter Cad Bane, who claims responsibility for Jay Gatshroom's death, is advertising a "2 Hits for the Price of 1" deal. Bowser plans to hire him to kill Mario and Luigi.

Mario returns to the Tall Trunk Galaxy and loses several lives attempting its second level but ultimately succeeds and returns to Starship Mario. Banktoad informs him that the Starship just got two new arrivals: another Luma called Lumalee, who he sent Yoshi to feed a bunch of anti-Lubba propaganda to in an effort to make Lumalee loyal to Mario if Lubba returned and another battle ensued; and a Whittle, a wooden, near-illiterate, bobblehead-like creature that Mario encountered in the Tall Trunk Galaxy. Banktoad then pesters Mario about heading back to World 1 and rescuing the rest of the Toad Brigade. Mario says they can do that after he completes the next level, which involves feeding World 2's Hungry Luma, who has an aggressive, mobster-like personality. Mario feeds him and heads to the galaxy he creates, the Honeybloom Galaxy, but offends one of its resident Bees after insulting their queen.

Note: on the first anniversary of starting MGT, I posted a special chapter that consisted of three smaller, interlude-like sections. The next section is from this "Annual Special."

Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, a group of Toads bickers over deciding which courses to include in the kingdom's annual Mario Kart tournament, while Interim Princess Peachette visits them to check in on their progress. Meanwhile, deep in space, Rosalina, who helped Mario during his first galactic adventure several years earlier, reveals that Baby Luma occasionally checks in with her to relay the goings-on on Starship Mario (which is what Baby Luma left to do when he abandoned Mario in the Flip-Swap Galaxy), and that she is disgusted with both Mario and Lubba's behavior. While meditating, she detects a strange disturbance in the universe, similar to one she had felt several days before. She traces the energy to the remains of Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla, the same place the previous energy signature came from. She suspects that the energy came from another universe, and prepares to head there in her base/spaceship, the Comet Observatory. Earlier that day, Bowser heads off to recruit Cad Bane and orders Bowser Jr. and Kamek back to the Fiery Flotilla to try to figure out where "the Murk" came from and see if they can track him down and find out who he is. They head to the Fiery Flotilla and review the security camera footage of Deadpool's arrival, and Kamek deduces that the portal he came from is a "crack in the fabric of the spacetime continuum," which Kamek had previously created by accident once before and summoned Jiminy Cricket into his lab. Kamek tries to create an identical spell that can home in on the Murk, but it misfires and summons eight strangers to the Fiery Flotilla, who identify themselves as Bugs Bunny, Tom Cat, Jake Dog, Arya Stark, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Batman, and Shaggy Rogers. Junior suggests teaming up with them to "do some evil."

* Deadpool: Guardians of the Multiverse: The Continuation Chapter 13 – Post-Credits Scene

Sylvie summons Deadpool and Harley to her room in the Citadel and explains that their mission made the situation worse, as Cad Bane getting sucked across the multiverse could result in an incursion: a collision between two universes that occurs when someone spends too much time in a timeline that's not their own. Their presence pulls their home universe towards the one they ended up in, and one or both end up destroyed, meaning Bane's lifeforce in the universe he ended up in (unbeknownst to them, Earth-6488) is slowly pulling Bane's universe, Earth-119, on a collision course with it. And with no way of knowing where Bane ended up, all they can do is wait for signs of an incursion to start and then try to stop it. However, Sylvie also shares that after the planegate was destroyed, all the M-Rip Energy from Earth-9466 vanished, while some remained in Earth-328767. They deduce that this means the Sentinels' only access to the multiverse was through the planegate to Earth-328767, meaning that without it they're neutralized, but the Daleks have other means of traveling to other universes and orchestrated the Sentinels' attack on Wakanda. Sylvie also states that she scanned Earth-328767 to confirm that there's no lifeforms left in it but the Daleks, and decided to send the Reapers to erase the timeline to end the threat posed by the Daleks. But before she can, the number of Daleks in Earth-328767 drops from half a billion to a quarter-billion, and a horde of Dalek flying saucers materializes around the Citadel.

Magik creates a portal to another dimension called Limbo where time runs differently, to buy them time to come up with a plan to stop the Daleks. Magik mentions a spell called the Runes of Tal-Morugon that creates a selective wave of destruction and they could theoretically use to stop the Daleks, but the spell is nearly-impossible to cast because of how much power it requires from the caster. Deadpool suggests assembling several Sorcerer Supremes from across the multiverse to use their collective energy to cast the spell, instead of just one person. They decide to split up, with Deadpool, Harley, Rose, the Doctor, and Loki using the Carlysle to draw off the Dalek fleet while Sylvie and Magik recruit sorcerers from around the multiverse to help them, and send the Reapers to erase the Daleks' universe. Deadpool and his team lead the Daleks in a chase around the universe, blowing up many of their flying saucers in the process, before Sylvie and Magik teleport onto the Carlysle with the Sorcerer Supreme variants they recruited: Doctor Strange Supreme, the variant of Colleen Wing from the attack on the planegate, Raven from Teen Titans, Jean Grey, Gandalf, Melisandre, and Santa Claus. The Daleks begin infiltrating the Carlysle, and the Guardians hold them off while the Sorcerer Supremes cast the Runes of Tal-Morugon, which destroys the Daleks and their flying saucers, while the Reapers succeeded at erasing Earth-328767 and the Daleks still in that universe.

In a "post-credits scene" several weeks later, the Guardians of the Multiverse are at Deadpool Tower, Deadpool's home in the Sacred Timeline, discussing how they still haven't found Cad Bane or detected any incursions caused by him yet. Suddenly, a multiverse tear opens and sucks in Harley. Deadpool leaves the other Guardians to try to track her down on his own, despite the fact that, since her home universe was destroyed by Shuma-Gorath, her presence in another universe can't cause an incursion, so there's no easy way to find her. Meanwhile, Harley reappears in Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla along with the seven others summoned by Kamek's botched attempt to find Deadpool.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 44 – Chapter 52

Mario is chased throughout the Honeybloom Galaxy by the Bee he initially angered as well as several others, but eventually makes it to the end of the level and collects the Power Star. But upon returning to Starship Mario, he sees Lubba waiting for him on the helm, with the Berry Planetoid floating over it. Mario and Lubba battle once more, at one point throwing the Whittle on Starship Mario at each other, resulting in the Whittle getting mad at Mario because he didn't warn the Whittle that he would throw him, while Lubba did. Mario tries to get away from Lubba and fly the Starship back to the Rightside Down Galaxy so he can recruit the rest of the Toad Brigade to help him out, but Lubba attacks him again, and Mario accidentally launches himself to the Cosmic Cove Galaxy. While there, he encounters a Penguin who has a more aggressive personality than most of the Penguins Mario has met, giving Mario a better opinion of this Penguin. He collects the Power Star and makes it back to Starship Mario, only to immediately have a garbage bag stuffed over his head by Lubba, who tells "Willy" (the Whittle) to take Mario to Bowser's Lava Lair and hand him over to Bowser.

Willy arrives at the Lava Lair and hands Mario over to Kamek, but Mario breaks free and overpowers Kamek, then teleports back to Starship Mario, leaving Willy behind. Lubba tries to stuff Mario in another garbage bag, but Mario escapes and makes his way through the Starship, battling Star Bunny as well. He finds his room being guarded by several Lumas and fights his way through them, ground-pounding the Co-Star Luma into a Launch Star in the process, then breaks into his room to free Yoshi, Banktoad, and Mailtoad. They eventually trap the Lumas, Lubba, and Star Bunny in Mario's room and seal it shut. Mario then decides to head to the Rightside Down Galaxy to rescue the rest of the Toad Brigade. They make their way through the galaxy, making use of the bizarre equipment the Toad Brigade has and once again fighting the Not-Toad Brigade. Along the way they lose most of said equipment except Bartholomew's Extendable 8-Foot Spear, and they eventually acquire the Power Star. Mario and the Brigade return to the Starship to find that the Penguin from the Cosmic Cove Galaxy (who introduces himself as Percival Pompatus Penguin) has arrived there, and Mario sets up a guard cycle outside his former bedroom to make sure no one breaks out. The following day, Mario heads to the Cloudy Court Galaxy, where he encounters more of the Spiky Spikepeckers from the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, as well as several warp fields that they use to teleport around the galaxy and continually menace him, and a non-hostile Whittle who warns him of a mysterious figure called the "Veiled Princess" who lives somewhere in the galaxy. Mario completes the level and returns to the Starship, only to find that Baby Luma got injured one time a Spiky Spikepecker fell on Mario. The Brigade tends to him but advises that he get some rest, so Mario is forced to bribe the propagandized Lumalee to accompany him to the Freezy Flake Galaxy so that he can still Star-Spin.

* Mario and SonicEXE at the 2014 Winter Olympics

In early 2014, Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog's teams arrive at a chalet in the Mushroom Kingdom to partake in the year's Winter Olympics, leading to bickering between Mario and Sonic. Four days later, during the skiing event, Sonic mentions that he saw a strange cave on his way down the mountainside and goes to investigate it on the way back to the chalet. A few hours later, Mario hears the others searching for Sonic's nemesis, Robotnik, who has gone missing. Sonic's friend Tails mentions that he thinks he heard Sonic in his room crying and says he thinks Mario hurt his feelings during their earlier argument. Mario suggests Robotnik may be holding Sonic hostage in the room and they go to investigate. They don't find Robotnik, but Sonic is wearing Robotnik's glasses, which he claims he found in the snow outside, and reading Bowser's book Torture Through the Ages. Before the snowboarding competition, Sonic shows the others a text from Robotnik saying he quits and is going home. After the competition ends, the teams realize that Tails is missing too. They go to get in the ski lift back to the chalet, but Yoshi finds Robotnik's corpse in one of the lift cars.

Upon arriving back at the chalet, Sonic and his friends Amy, Blaze, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver head out to look for Tails. After they leave, Peach shares her suspicion that something's wrong with Sonic and that he killed Robotnik. They head back into the chalet to try to figure out what to do next. As dusk falls and it starts snowing, a bleeding Shadow arrives back at the chalet and begs to be left in, before the lights go out. They let Shadow in, and he tells them that Sonic killed Amy and Knuckles, and during the battle Robotnik's glasses came off him, revealing that his eyes were black. Mario and Yoshi head down to the ice skating rink to investigate the generators and turn them back on, but find Tails and Knuckles' corpses in the room as well. An eerie laugh comes from the rafters, where Sonic is hiding. Mario and Yoshi manage to escape the room and shut the doors behind them just before Sonic gets out. Sonic reveals that he is now a demon that had been trapped in the cave centuries ago and was set free when Sonic investigated the cave. As soon as Mario and Yoshi make it back to the others, though, the lights go out again. They try to barricade themselves in a room but Sonic gets in, kills Donkey Kong, and injures Bowser. Finally, Blaze, who has pyrokinesis, manages to engulf Sonic in flames, and Yoshi eats him, killing him. In an epilogue, Mario writes that the "Chalet Massacre" was several weeks ago, and he's now headed off to Peach's Castle to celebrate the start of spring (leading into "Bowsette and the 2014 Annual Kidnapping of Peach").

* Mario's Galactic Tale Interlude 3 – Chapter 62

In another interlude, Bowser Jr., still at the Fiery Flotilla, spins several lies about Mario (including claiming that he was responsible for the Chalet Massacre) to convince the multiversal characters that Mario is evil and that they should join Bowser Jr. to destroy Mario. Suddenly, the Comet Observatory arrives and Rosalina (who Bowser Jr. keeps calling Rosanna) warns him to send the multiverse characters back where they came from. Jake turns into a missile and shoots himself towards the Comet Observatory, but ricochets off a forcefield around it back towards the Fiery Flotilla. Kamek teleports all the others to Junior's nearby second base, the Fearsome Fleet, before the Fiery Flotilla explodes and falls to the Mushroom Planet. Kamek summons Jake, who was unharmed, and Junior thinks this might be for the best, since now "Rosanna" probably thinks they're all dead.

Mario completes the mission in the Freezy Flake Galaxy, but is driven nuts by Lumalee's vanity and dismisses him when they arrive back on Starship Mario. The next morning, Baby Luma is still injured, but Mario decides to attempt the Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy, which he thinks he can complete without Star-Spinning. The level involves rolling along on a Star Ball, which contains a Power Star, to the end of the level, at which point the Star Ball will break open and release the Power Star. However, Mario botches the mission from the beginning and ends up pushing the Star Ball off the starting planet, leaving him unable to complete the level. He dejectedly heads back to Starship Mario. Later that day, the Star Ball falls out of the sky and through the Starship's helm into Mario's former bedroom, freeing Lubba and co. Another battle breaks out, during which Mario and Star Bunny are both accidentally shot to the Haunty Halls Galaxy. Star Bunny chases Mario throughout the level, but Mario is able to ditch him while running down a narrow path that vanishes into mysterious purple flames intermittently; Mario makes it off the path, but Star Bunny gets sucked into the flames and disappears. Mario makes it through the rest of the level with help from Yoshi (who provides dismal updates on the battle back on Starship Mario), but is knocked unconscious when he returns to the Starship.

Mario wakes up to find himself tied up by the Lumas, who are trying to come up with satisfactory ways to torture him, but is saved at the last second by Yoshi and Bartholomew. They then overpower Lubba and his allies once more, this time trapping them down the Warp Pipe that leads to the room where Lumalee lives, then corking the Warp Pipe with a tree stump. The morning after, Mario decides to fly the Starship over the Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy, turn off the artificial gravity, and try to dump the Star Ball back onto the starting planet so he can complete the level. The plan works but wrecks much of the Starship's interior in the process. He completes the level and heads back to the Starship, where Yoshi insists that Mario help clean up the mess created by flipping Starship Mario upside-down. Mario reluctantly helps, where he is driven nuts by the Toad Brigade's "Happy Work Song." After they finish, Bartholomew reveals that a device of his called the Prankster Detector detected a Prankster Comet over the Yoshi Star Galaxy. Mario decides to head there, on the off chance he can complete the level without Star-Spinning, and finds that he can, collecting another Power Star. Early the next morning, Blue Toad from the Toad Brigade wakes Mario to tell him that they headed to the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy to try to collect a Power Star there, but Bartholomew got kidnapped by a monkey and they need Mario's help rescuing him. (Blue also confirms that the Toad Brigade present in the galaxy during Mario's previous journey there was the real Toad Brigade, who eventually gave up looking for the Power Star that time around.)

In another interlude, Bowser Jr. arrives back at Bowser's final base, the Galaxy Generator, with his multiversal allies, as Bowser returns with Cad Bane. Bowser sends Kamek to make a spaceship for Bane to use to hunt down Mario and Luigi, while Junior plans to have his eight allies waiting for Mario with him at the Fearsome Fleet, which Mario will be heading to at the end of World 3, if Bane fails.

Mario recruits Baby Luma once more and heads to the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, where he runs into the same vengeful Spiky Spiekpecker from his previous trip there, as well as several of the bird's friends. He finally makes it to the end of the level, where he encounters Bartholomew and the monkey. The monkey, calling himself the Chimp, summons a Power Star that he gives to Mario, revealing that he really just wants to be rid of it so the Spiky Spikepeckers he stole it from will stop trying to get it back. Mario returns to the Starship and now has enough Power Stars to head to Junior's Fearsome Fleet. Halfway through the level, he and Yoshi are interrupted by a strange purple portal (unbeknownst to them, a multiverse portal) that opens ahead of them and from it emerges a pirate ship manned by Euron Greyjoy (from Game of Thrones). Mario and Yoshi battle him and finally defeat him, but Yoshi falls off one of the planets in the process. Mario then is ambushed by Cad Bane, who tries to kill him, but Mario barely escapes to the galaxy's final planet. There, Bowser Jr. arrives along with his gigantic robot Megahammer and his eight multiversal allies. Mario and Yoshi are quickly overwhelmed, and Mario is tied up with Wonder Woman's lasso. Arya Stark prepares to kill him and asks if he has any last words, prompting Mario to desperately try to convince them that he's not a villain. Wonder Woman reveals that her lasso forces you to tell the truth, so Mario was telling the truth and Junior lied to them. Most of them back off, but Bane still intends to kill Mario, as that was what he got paid for. Most of the multiversal characters battle Bane, while Mario and Harley (armed with Jake in the form of a missile launcher) slowly take down Megahammer. During the battle, more multiverse portals open, admitting a multitude of other characters from other franchises. Megahammer is finally destroyed and falls into a portal to another universe, while Junior manages to escape. Mario and the others try to get to the Grand Star that came out of Megahammer to teleport back to Starship Mario and then get out of there, but they are cut off from their way off the planet. Suddenly, Deadpool and the Guardians of the Multiverse arrive, much to Mario's dismay. Magik begins sealing the multiverse portals and sending everyone back to their respective universes. Mario has Wonder Woman bind Deadpool with her lasso and asks him several questions, realizing that he isn't evil after all. The Guardians head back to the Citadel once the portals have fully closed, except for Harley, who chooses to stay in Mario's universe and flies off in Bane's spaceship.

In Chapter 62's first "post-credits scene," several Boos deliver Luigi to Bowser's Castle. Ludwig, who is ruling the castle in Bowser's absence, orders Luigi transported south to Bowser's Supermax Penal Facility/N64 Bowser's Castle. In the chapter's second "post-credits scene" (which sets up a spinoff I haven't written yet), Megahammer falls through a portal to Earth-468 (the universe of Game of Thrones) and crashes outside Winterfell, causing the castle's inhabitants to believe they are under attack.

* Yoshi Commits Tax Fraud

In 2013, shortly after Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach leave the Mushroom Kingdom in Super Mario 3D World, Yoshi is at Mario's house when the police arrive to arrest him for his 20 years of tax evasion. Yoshi escapes and flees the Mushroom Kingdom, hiding out for several days in the Wild Woods, a forest that is notorious as a hideout for criminals, while having a fake passport made so he can escape to neighboring kingdom Sarasaland, which doesn't extradite for tax fraud. However, Yoshi is sold out to the cops, but manages to get away from them again and head for the border with Sarasaland. He finally makes it and reluctantly decides he'll pay his taxes in Sarasaland. Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Interim Princess Peachette is informed of what happened, but she decides not to tell Mario what happened with Yoshi, as he's "paranoid enough of everyone else as it is" and will certainly find "another Yoshi" on his travels before long.

* Harley's Angels Chapter 1 – Chapter 4

After taking Cad Bane's spaceship, Harley discovers evidence in it that Bane was also headed after Luigi, so Harley heads to the Mushroom Planet to make sure Luigi is safe. Harley asks around the Mushroom Kingdom for information on Luigi, but most Toads are suspicious of her (and other "strangely-attired women" in general) after the previous year's Bowsette situation. One Toad finally tells Harley that Luigi missed a plumbing appointment at his house and that Luigi's house seemed abandoned when he stopped by. Harley heads there too and finds evidence of a fight at the house, along with a strange slime. The next day, she visits Interim Princess Peachette, who is mostly uncooperative but does inform Harley that the slime appears to be a Boo's ectoplasm, meaning either Bowser or King Boo kidnapped Luigi. Harley decides to head after King Boo first, and learns that he's supposedly still trapped inside the Poltergust after Luigi last defeated him in late 2013. Harley tries to draw out E. Gadd, the reclusive scientist who is currently in possession of the Poltergust, to see if King Boo really is still trapped in it.

At their meeting, Gadd is confident that King Boo is still in the Poltergust, despite not having checked recently and despite Harley's growing suspicions that Gadd's girlfriend, Hellen Gravely, may have intentionally freed King Boo during a recent visit to Gadd's house. Gadd and Harley head to an isolated hotel called The Last Resort, which Hellen told Gadd she has been working on building, and Gadd is shocked to discover its ominous, ghostly appearance. Gadd sets out to rescue Hellen, believing King Boo is holding her hostage, but Harley knocks him out so he won't interfere with her plans to stop both Hellen and King Boo. Harley enters the hotel, where she is confronted by King Boo, who demands to know what she is doing there.

* Mario's Galactic Tale Chapter 63 – Chapter 76

Mario returns to Starship Mario and flies it into World 4 before turning in for the night. The following morning, he heads to the Supermassive Galaxy to collect its first Power Star, before then heading to the Flipsville Galaxy and once again battling the Not-Toad Brigade (whose leader, Not-Bartholomew, is now armed with a giant hammer knockoff of Bartholomew's spear). The next morning, just as Mario gets heads onto the Starship's helm, a purple portal appears above the Starship and the Star Bunny who vanished in the Haunty Halls Galaxy apppears from it, now wielding a strange purple energy. He uses it to beat up Mario and then fry the Starship, causing it to crash in the Starshine Beach Galaxy.

Note: the following section summarizes the three interludes from the second Annual Special.

Lubba and the Lumas, still trapped in Lumalee's room on Starship Mario, have succeeded at swaying Lumalee to their side, but are unable to find a way out. Suddenly, the Starship rumbles and the lights go out, followed by a loud crash. The Lumas fly out a hole in the ceiling and find Starship Mario crashed in the Starshine Beach Galaxy, where they are attacked by the galaxy's resident Piantas. Meanwhile, back at Bowser's Castle, several Parakoopa scouts present Ludwig with Euron Greyjoy's corpse, which fell to the Mushroom Planet the previous night (following his battle with Mario at Junior's Fearsome Fleet). Ludwig takes the corpse and prepares it for something called "Project Robocop." Finally, Sam the Star Bunny recounts what happened to him after vanishing in the Haunty Halls Galaxy. The purple flames teleport him to another dimension, where a drone appears and immediately knocks. Sam wakes up and spends several days in a prison cell there before a purple vampire puppet who introduces himself as the Count arrives and leads him from his cell to a larger chamber. There, he is introduced to the Purpleforce Council (consisting of alternate universe variants of the Count, Mal from Descendants, Twilight Sparkle, Agatha Harkness, Donatello, Barney the Dinosaur, Psylocke, Waluigi, Raven, Huntress, Lamar Jackson, and Grimace from McDonald's - all of whom are associated with the color purple), which was formed by Mal years before to guard a mysterious energy source called the Purpleforce, which is contained above the room they meet Sam in. Portals to the Purpleforce Domain exist all across the multiverse, and Sam accidentally entered one in the Haunty Halls Galaxy. They accuse Sam of intentionally trespassing in the Purpleforce Domain, and in a desperate attempt to escape, he shatters the container holding the Purpleforce and absorbs it. The Council battles him and he kills Barney, Donatello, and Grimace, before using the Purpleforce to open a portal to Starship Mario and crash it.

Mario wakes up to find Lubba and his cohorts escaped from Starship Mario and battling Yoshi, Percy, and the Piantas. He joins the battle but Sam appears and beats him up more. Suddenly, the Purpleforce Council arrives to recapture Sam and extract the Purpleforce from him. Sam, Lubba, and the others gain the upper hand, but the Toad Brigade joins the battle by crashing the Berry Planetoid into Sam. The Purpleforce Council finally extracts the Purpleforce from Sam and takes him back to the Purpleforce Domain with them, while the Piantas imprison Lubba and the other Lumas in the Starshine Beach Galaxy. That night, Mario is forced to sit through the Piantas putting on a wildly inaccurate production of Hamlet to celebrate their victory, but the following morning he and Yoshi collect a Power Star from the galaxy. During the mission, a Lakitu in the galaxy claims to be defecting and offers Mario information about the Koopa Troop, including Project Robocop and a secret base of Bowser's called the SUB-NAUTICA Facility, but Mario assumes these are lies and disregards them. Baby Luma absorbs the Power Star's energy and uses it to repair Starship Mario, unknowingly granting several subconscious wishes of his by adding countless additional rooms like a rec room and paintball range to the Starship's interior.

Next, Mario returns to the Flipsville Galaxy, instigating another confrontation with the Not-Toad Brigade, and collects another Power Star. That night and the following morning, he explores some of the new rooms on Starship Mario, including an endless field that is inhabited by a mysterious creature Baby Luma identifies as a manifestation of his erstwhile, sometimes threatening, imaginary friend Willy. Mario then heads to the Chompworks Galaxy, where his mission to collect the Power Star is interrupted by the arrival of a flying saucer manned by the spirit of his old enemy Topmaniac. Topmaniac siphons the Power Star's energy to create a new body for himself, then prepares to battle Mario.
