Chapter 1 - So much for becoming a Wondering Shinobi
Konohagakure no Sato is a peacefull place, it was the military capital of the Fire Nation where the Ninja forces of the Conuntry were trained. Three of those Shinobis were in there class right now waiting for their sensei Hatake Kakashi to pick them up after the team allocations, who was already over an hour late.
Uchiha Sasuke (16 Y.O.) a raven coloured hair boy wearing a black shinobi jacket over his blue T-shirt and Grey Shinobi Pants with Black Sandels was the last loyal surviving member of the Famed Uchiha clan, he sitting at the back of his class brooding and looking down on his new 'Teammates'
'Clenching his Teeth'
" Why was I, An Uchiha, An eletie was placed on the same team with the class clown and a good for nothing fan-girl i was well off on my own or they could have placed me with someone who could have carried there own weight, atlest the aburame wouldn't have draged me down hesk even the Nara or the Inuzuka would have been a better choice, anything but the dead last or the banshee "
The banshee in question Sakura Haruno (16 Y.O.) was a pink haired young girl wearing a red kunoichi out fit with dark navy blue shorts and sandles was walking circles on the class floor bored as hell and contemplating how she would win her true love now that they have Naruto-Baka with them. "if only it was just me and Sasuke-Kun this team would have been perfect but no, that damn Ino-pig must have cursed my luck to have Naruto with us as well, I bet Sasuke-Kun is thinking the same thing, 'squeal' we are so perfect for each other we even think the same way don't you worry Sasuke-Kun i wont let this Baka get in the way of our True Love we will conquer all the challenges together"
The Baka, an orange Jump suit with black stipes and blue sandels wearing blounde would be thinking of ways to prank his new sensei for being so late right about now but his mind was already pre-occupied with something else, he was simply looking out of the window contemplating the events of that took place last night.

Naruto was sitting under a tree near the Training Ground 44 reading the Forbidden Scroll while waiting for the traitor Mizuki.
"Damn it, after everything I did to fail my Genin exam a third time so that I could convince Hokage Jiji that I have given up on being a shinobi and I could have lived the façade of a failed Genin for the rest of the time I lived in this village, the villagers would be happy, i could leave whenever i want and no one would have bothered me but nooooo Mizuki needed to turn traitor this very day and he just so happened to need my help to do it 'ttebayo"
Naruto was thinking that when his focus went towards the more Dangerous Jutsu of the scroll "The Death Reaper Seal" the Justu that took his fathers life and "Edo Tensei", Naruto gulped reading that name the memory of using those Jutsu haunted him even after four years "WHY ARE JUTSU LIKE THESE KEPT IN THE OPEN, ANY HIGH CHUNIN LEVEL SHINOBI COULD HAVE STOLEN THEM EASILY!?"
Hearing his container yell in his mind like that Kurama The Nine Tails Fox decided to add his two cents to the situation,
"Don't go around jumping to conclusions like that kit read the hand seals carefully".
Hearing his long-time partner's word Naruto read the procedure to perform the Jutsu and realized "Oh, So only B rank Kinjutsu like Kage Bunshin and Bakuretsu Kage Bunshin has the real seals were as the 'Real Ones' have wrong seals that's preety smart, but if it's fake how did Shikamaru stole the original one all those years ago, we even made a good copy before putting it back didn't we? 'ttebayo"
Hearing that Kurama rolled his eyes "The Nara was smart enough to bypass the fake one first time around unlike you off course" Kurama said with to toothy grin showing his large fangs, at which our favourate blounde felt a need to defend himself, "Oye I would have checked it if I really needed it, but all I need is a bait to trap Mizuki not that I expect a furball like you to understand something like that OFF COURSE".
The two idiots kept on bickering like that until they heard someone coming up behind them,
"NARUTO"
Naruto turned back to see Iruka had found him before Mizuki "shit this can get messy",
"Naruto why would you steel the Forbidden scroll all the available Chunins and Jonins are looking for you answer me NOW" asked a Iruka who had very clearly lost his from all the running he did to find his student.
Naruto quickly turned on his Class Clown Mode and answerd Iruka's question with a large smile, "Hee Hee, oh hi Iruka Sensai looks like I passed the secret Genin test hu? Now you must give me that Forehead Protector of yours like you promised 'ttebayo",
Iruka was shocked hearing Naruto's words quickly contemplating what was going on when he asked, "Naruto who gave you this test?"

As if on cue a Fuma shuriken came flying towards them and both Naruto and Iruka who jumped got out of the way. Iruka was surprised to see Naruto's reflexes but chalked it down to survival instincts and looked up to see his fellow teacher Mizuki holding the now returned shuriken "Very good Naruto you did a great job now hand over the scroll so that I can inspect it and give you your Headband" Naruto looked at Mizuki with a pissed-off look and was about to say something when,
"Don't do it Naruto Mizuki lied to you about the test, take the scroll away and report to the nearest team looking for you while I hold him" Iruka said while holding his kunai. Mizuki was not pleased by this development Naruto would surely believe Iruka over him unless, Mizuki got a sick smile on his face when he said,
"I lied to him? You got some nerve saying that Iruka considering you along with the entire village have been lying to this child for the last 16 years" Iruka's heart sank hearing that "Don't Mizuki that is an S-Rank secret" warned Iruka while jumping to engage Mizuki in a duel "Listen Naruto do you remember what Iruka taught you about the nine tails attack 16 years ago? Remember how the Fourth Hokage killed that demon? Well guess what that demon was immortal no one can kill it so the Hokage did the next best thing, he weakened the demon and turned it into a child, a human child with blond hair blue eyes and whisker like birth marks on his cheeks that child has been treated like a plague ever since that day an outcast with no parents or friends does that ring a bell? That's right that child was you Naruto you are the Kyuubi and that is the reason this village hates you so much"
All the while Iruka was engaged in combat with Mizuki Naruto simply stood there with the scroll thinking "Does he really think I didn't knew? as if I never heared the villages calling me 'the kyuubi brat' or that I never notices a voice in my head saying 'I am The Great Kyuubi-Sama bow to me to you foolish mortal' ?" "Oye i do not Sound like that", Iruka ignorant of the fact that our two friends had started fighting 'again' yelled, "Don't listen to him Naruto take the scroll and run".
At that Naruto started running through the branches coming up with a plan to deal with the situation without blowing his cover,
"Alright so here is the plan we are going to get out of sight and while Iruka is holding Mizuki i'll make a bunch of shadow clones, transform them into an Anbu unit and send them to apprehend Mizuki he should be smart enough to give up without a fight"
"You are overestimating that chunin friend of yours"
Naruto looked back to see Mizuki following at top speed "No use running Naruto Iruka isn't going to save you"
Naruto had a sad look on his face when he thought "Looks like Iruka let him get away so that he can use me as bait to launch a surprise attack"
"I did kill his parents that night so this not suppressing"
He couldn't really blame Iruka for hating him, he never did, almost the entire village hated him, kids used to blame him for the mess they caused to get out of trouble and everyine belived them, before he mastered Kurama's emotion sensing abbility he offten got tricked by people pretending to be his friends only to have Itachi or Shisui to come and save him in the end, he had been taken advantage of more time than he can count, hate did make people do irrational thing.
But he hoped, he truly hoped that people might grow out of there hatered after all these years, perhaps he was wrong.
"Sigh, maybe it will be best if I leave sooner than planned "
While Naruto was engaged in his thought Mizuki threw a second shuriken his way, hearing the weapon broke Naruto out of his train of thought and he got ready to deflect it using his Chakra Chain. When suddenly he was tackled to the ground and heard a flesh piercing sound while he fall from the tree, Naruto opend his eyes to absolute shock, Iruka was lying over him with blood dripping down his mouth Naruto didn't know what to make of this,
Iruka always scolded him for sleeping in the class, sending him out as a punishment so why? Why would he risk his life to save the monster who killed his parents? Didn't he hate him like the rest? Didn't he want him to just disappear? Didn't he want to take revenge on him like the rest? He did, I know he did I sensed all this the day I met him in class so why? Why is he risking his life to save me?
"Why? Why are you saving me? Don't you hate me?" Iruka had a week smile on his face when he said "I did, I did hate you I wanted you to go away and never return when I was a kid and when I found out I had to be then one to teach you I wanted to make sure your life was hell just like the rest but Hokage-sama took my word that I will give you a fair chance to prove yourself, he is like a father to me so I respected his request and as the years passed I saw what he was talking about that you were no demon, not a monster not the Kyubi, you were just like me you were just alone that's all and then I understood how wrong we all were and how we failed you,"
Uhhhhh Iruka cried as he pulled the shuriken out of his back, started applying a Medical Ninjutsu on the wound as he stood up to face Mizuki again
"Forgive me Naruto I failed you as a sensei, please let me right you just this once I will will hold him here even if it kills me all I need you to do is get away and live" Naruto was still sitting on the ground not knowing what to make of it when felt something flow down his cheek,
It was a drop of tear,
"Wh-what? I am crying? No, how is that even possible? I don't cry, I haven't cried in years, ever since, ever since that night;" suddenly Naruto started getting flashbacks of the worst night of his life the night he lost his family a second time all over, the night when his Nii-san killed his entire family,
The Night of The Uchiha Massacre,
Shikamaru pulling his hand and yelling "We can't stay here the Anbu are on there way we need to get out",

Naruto was broken out of his nightmare by Kurama only to hear,
Clap! Clap! "That was truly a heartwarming speech Iruka but do you really think that's all it will take to undo the pain and suffering you all caused him over the years he doesn't owe you or this village anything" Mizuki looked at Naruto and extended his hand,
"I will give you an offer you can't refuse Naruto, give me this scroll and in exchange I will take you with me to my master, My Master is a very open minded individual and has a special place in his heart for kids like you, kids with special abilities who has no place to call home I will take you with me and you can find a family so how about it"
Iruka was about to say something before he felt a hand on his sholder, Naruto had stood up from the ground and was motioning Iruka to step aside. Iruka in his moment of confusion did just that but when he saw Naruto walking toward Mizuki, he broke out of it and yelled "no, NO Naruto don't make any rash decisions! We can talk this thro- "Iruka was out spoken when Naruto started talking to Mizuki
"I see so you are working for Orochimaru of the Sanin huh?, that explain all the reports regarding Sasuke's skills you were smuggling out of the village so the snake wants to get his hands on the sharingan?"
Mizuki was too confused to make anything of what Naruto just said "huh! How do you-"
Mizuki never got to finish his sentence and Naruto appeared several steps ahead in a blink and Punched Mizuki so hard on the face that the went to the manga world of a second as he yelled
"NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS, 'TTEBAYO !"
Mizuki was knocked back several feet back only to come to stop by crushing a boulder breaking several of his bones along with a swollen face which was enough to knock him out.
Iruka had his jaw on the ground seeing the sheer strength in Naruto's punch he didn't even notice when Naruto coming towards him until he was on his face, he was about to ask him something when "You have lost too much blood let me treat you we'll talk later" at that Naruto made him sit on the ground, got on one knee started applying Kurama's chakra on the wound causing Iruka to go wide eye
"Naruto this-"
"You want to make it up to me right?"
Naruto looked at Iruka, Iruka thought for a second before nodding causing Naruto to say
"Then don't tell any one what happened here today, I don't want to give the civilian council another chance to cause all of us a headache",
Iruka knew what Naruto was talking about even if the civilian side of the council had stopped calling for Naruto's execution every week a couple of years after the attack the still tried to get him removed from the Shinobi Academy so that Elder Shimura Danzo can supervise his training personaly stating that they should have much larger control over Naruto's skills and movement than any other shinobi because of his status as a Jinchuriki, Lord Third have been able to deny there request till now but if they found out that Naruto was even an inch stronger than they originally thought there will be an uproar.
"I understand Naruto, however I must report all this to Hokage-Sama at least, I hope you understand",
By this time Naruto was done healing Iruka, he got up helped Iruka get on his feet and said,
"Don't worry I am pretty sure Jiji already saw everything using his Peeking ball" with his signature toothy grin,
Iruka too got a satisfactory smile on his face and said "Very well I will trust your judgment but before that" Iruka took off his headband and tied it on Naruto's head "Welcome to the rooster Genin Uzumaki Naruto you have passed your exam"
Naruto was wide eyed hearing that "What!? No! I didn't even show you any clone Jutsu you can't pass me like that!"
Iruka got a smile on his face as he explained "Last year a student named Rock lee failed to do the Jutsu as well but Hokage-Sama allowed him to pass seeing his Taijutsu skills, the same applies to you as well seeing what you just did to Mizuki so don't worry about it"
Naruto was speechless hearing that, he never thought that he would ever become a shinobi of this village the only reason he went the academy because Itachi told him to a couple of months before the massacre saying that it would help him make new friends but he always planned to fail the final exam and leave the village after he Fulfilled his Promise to that Man but it looks like the fate has something else in store for him "Killua and Kasumi are going to be very pissed when they hear about this",
"So much for becoming a Wondering Shinobi hu Kit?"
"Sigh, not now Kurama its getting late 'ttebayo"
Naruto made two shadow clones to transfer Mizuki making Iruka enquire about what else he had hidden from them all these years to which Naruto only said "Just a couple more things I guess"
Naruto and Iruka made there way to the Hokage Tower with Naruto going straight for the window before Iruka could make his way to the main entrance and the not at all cute receptionist causing him to follow Naruto while muttering something about proper procedures, when they entered the office though the window true to Naruto's word Hokage-Sama had his crystal ball on his desk signifying that there wont be any need for a report. Iruka bowed to Hirzen Sarutobi the Third Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, The Professor, The Third God of Shinobi, He who lead the village to victory in all the Three Gr-
"Yo jiji you should really go to bed on time at this age 'ttebayo"
Iruka stumbled on his feet before smacking Naruto on the head for disrespecting the Hokage.
"I am really sorry Hokage-Sama Naruto is just a little tired that's all" said Iruka while Naruto gave him a 'I am going to prank your ass to next week' look while massaging his head.
The old Leader simply chuckled seeing the antics of his surrogate children "Don't worry Iruka Naruto's remarks are simply refreshing if nothing else" he looked at Naruto before speaking "Congratulations Genin Naruto on completing your first B rank Mission, you will be reward accordingly along with a bonus for saving one of our most promising teacher's life",
"Iruka go and tell them to call off the search and that the real traitor has been captured I would like to speak with Naruto-Kun privately" Hokage said turning his attention back to the Chunin Instructor.
"Hai! Hokage-Sama" Iruka bowed and left to talk to the again not so cute receptionist regarding Hokage-Sama's orders but not before sharing a final look with Naruto.
"Take a seat Naruto-Kun" Hiruzen said while lighting his pipe,
He had known for a long time now that Naruto was more than he let other people let on ever since he introduced him to Itachi 11 years ago he has been training in various Shinobi arts behind everyone's back, there have been times when Naruto disappeared from the village for months leaving his shadow clones behind to cover for him and there has also been times when Hiruzen could'nt locate Naruto even with is pee- I mean Crystal ball, he was concerned in the begening ofcourse weaghing all the possibilities from the kyuubi taking over Naruto to Danzo getting his claws on the poor boy but several words of confidance from both Itachi and Shisui Uchiha placed his worries to rest. Now Hiruzen simply respected Naruto's privacy beliving in his shinobis and his own gut feeling that Naruto wont put himself or this village at risk.
Naruto took a seat seeing the old Hokage taking a puff of smoke "So, it looks like you became a Genin despite all your efforts"
"Something tells me you would have passed me with any ridiculous reason even if the incident with Mizuki didn't take place",
The Hokage took another puff from his pipe before saying "I might, but then again who can say what could have happened"
"You know I can just resign from the rooster right and since this is not the time of war you can not reject it either",
"You can yes, but something tells me you won't"
Naruto eyed the Hokage for a good three minutes before saying "I have two demands".
The Hokage got into his negotiation mode, normally he wouldn't have pushed Naruto to become a shinobi, keeping him in the village was a much more efficient way to protect him and if he didn't become a shinobi the other village were far less likely to come after him according to him the rewords and the risks from Naruto becoming a shinobi were equal so he was indifferent on the topic, that is until four years ago when Itachi reported back after killing his family.

Hiruzen was standing over the Hokage Tower seeing the rising sun over the village he had sworn to protect with his life the Uchiha clan was massacred for that very reason a couple of hours ago, soon the news will be made public and there will be another uproar in the village right now however he just wanted to take in the peace before the storm when,
"Anbu Captain Itachi Uchiha Reporting Misson success Hokage-Sama, the enemy has been neutralized, forgive me but I had to place you guards under Genjutsu for this meeting"
Hiruzen didn't look back he simply couldn't, he could not face a 17-year-old child after failing him on this level.
"I never gave such an order Itachi, why did you go behind my back, did you truly trusted Danzo's words over mine?"
The kin-slayer opened his eyes and looked at his Hokage's back still kneeling on one foot "I trusted my own judgment Hokage-Sama you or Shimura Danzo had nothing to do with it please don't blame yourself this village needs her leader now the most after the attack 12 years ago"
A tear drop came across Hiruzen's eye and he clenched his pipe before saying "Please forgive me child, I have failed you and your people, if there is anything I can do to repay your sacrifice it will help me face your parents in the afterlife"
"There is,"
Hearing that Hiruzen quickly turned around with hope in his eyes motioning the most loyal shinobi this village ever had to continue "I want Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke to be on the same Genin team when they graduate from the academy"
Hiruzen saw something in his eyes he had not seen ever since the reports of the possible Coup started flowing in 'Hope', but before he could ask Itachi the reason for such a strange request Itachi continued
"I came across a masked man who helped me in the massacre, he claimed himself to be Uchiha Madara"
Hiruzen was shocked hearing that, he couldn't believe the ghost of the shinobi could still be alive before he question Itachi about this he said
"I'll be joining his ranks In order to spy on his organization called the Akatsuki from the inside I'll send every relevant information I find to Jiraya-Sama" before bursting into crows and leaving Hiruzen alone with is thoughts and a bunch of incompetent Anbu.

"I might have not found the reason why Itachi wanted Naruto to be placed on the same team as Sasuke but that's not even close to a good reason to fulfill his wish" Hiruzen Thought before taking another puff from his pipe.
"My first demand is that ill be placed on the same team as Sasuke Uchiha 'ttebayo"
Hiruzen put on his best poker face as he asked "does it have something to do with my student's interest in the boy?"
Naruto replied by folding his hands on his chest and closing his eyes "Yes and No"
Hiruzen simply nodded "Very well I Approve, what is you second demand?"
Naruto opened his eyes and said "I will decide the missions my team will go to not you nor our Jonin commander 'ttebayo"
Hiruzen was spectacle regarding his second demand he couldn't determine weather Naruto just doesn't want to go on D rank missions or does he have a bigger plan?
"I take it you want to keep this a secret specially from your team?" when Naruto nodded Hiruzen continued "Very well you can decide your team's mission as long as they are B or C rank."
Naruto thought about this for a moment, the Hokage didn't want him to take his team on most dangerous missions nor he wanted him to keep them from doing chores.
"Fine I agree"
Hiruzen nodded and told Naruto to report for his team placement at the academy, with that Naruto got up from his seat and left from the window he came from.
"You should have asked for a bigger house as well, that appartement doesn't stop smelling no matter how much we clean it"
"That smelly apartment is perfect to keep a low-profile Kurama, we don't want people to come looking of answers now do we?"
The Kyubi just grumbled something about have a sensitive nose before going to sleep for the night leaving Naruto alone to check the possibility of going forward with his future.

Naruto Sighed, all his plans were down the drain now and he had to go back to the drawing couldn't become a wondering shinobi like he originally planned, he'll have to stay in Konoha a little longer than he expected Killua was not pleased when he called him via there transmission bracelets last night after getting home nor was Kasumi, Shikamaru didn't respond to his call, he has been ignoring him every since what happend two months ago. All because a certain chunni felt the need to be nice to him for once "The timing on Mizuki's betrayal couldn't be worse." "That or you were being kind to as fault like always." "How about you go back to sleep." "How about you do something about your already two hour late sensei."
On cue a masked Jonin wearing his headband like an eye patch walked in the class, how did naruto noticed while he was arguing with Kurama you ask? Well that because the before mentioned banshee decided to make the fact that he was late rather loudly.
Ignoring the same the cyclops got a thoughtful expression on his face before he said "hmmm, my first expression of you lot is that you guys a boring" both Sasuke and Sakura had a 'are you serious' look on there face while Naruto just smiled "This could be interesting 'ttebayo"
"Meet me on the roof in five minutes" said the Jonin before vanishing in a puff of smoke.
