Chapter I: Rebirth

Madara Uchiha woke up from what felt like a nightmare. She glanced around, seeing complete darkness, unsure of what was going on. Her head was hurting, causing her to clench it tightly. The last thing Madara remembered was having her Izanagi activate in the moments after her death by Hashirama. However, things didn't go as planned. Here she was with both eyes, inside of an unfamiliar place, and the most confusing thing was that she had her twelve-year-old body again. It didn't make any sense to her. Madara goes to activate her Sharingan, and while it did activate, she only had two Tomoe, something that was strange. "What the heck is happening? What is going on?" Madara asked herself. She slowly sits up from her bed, the room still dark from the lack of light.

Once Madara exits her bedroom, she finds herself inside of an empty house. It was clearly run down as if nobody had maintained the place in years. Nothing was making sense to her. She quickly makes her way outside and is shocked at what she saw. It was the hidden leaf village but unlike in her memories, it was much more advanced than she could remember. The stone faces had Hashirama, Tobirama, Tobirama's student, she believed his name was Hiruzen, and then there was some unknown man. Nothing was making any sense to her and she began to question how this could even happen. Madara's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a young boy, calling over to her.

Madara's gaze hardened as she saw the stranger approach her. However, she was suddenly shocked by this boy's appearance. He had spiky black hair with a blue tint along with fairly pale skin. "I… Izuna? Is that you?" Madara asked in a whisper. This boy looked almost identical to her younger brother and the memories of him surged through her body, resulting in her heart feeling a bit heavier.

The boy raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about, Madara? My name is Sasuke. What's up with you? I've been looking for you all morning." Said the boy, now identified as Sasuke.

Madara's eyes went wide. This boy, whose name is Sasuke, looks just like Izuna. "Who are you? How do you know me?" Madara said defensively. She went to draw a kunai, only to find she didn't have any weapons, or hardly any clothes on at that. This caused Madara's eyes to shoot open wide as she tried her best to cover her body, being in only a bra and underwear.

Sasuke was getting annoyed. His sister was acting strangely. "Madara, it's me, Sasuke, your twin brother. What's gotten into you?" Sasuke asked.

"What are you talking about? I don't have a twin brother; all my brothers were killed by those damn Senju! You look like an Uchiha, who is your father?" Madara asked, her tone still defensive.

"That's enough, Madara. You're starting to worry me. Our father was Fugaku Uchiha, and our mother was Mikoto Uchiha. They, along with the rest of our clan, were wiped out by our older brother, Itachi. Don't you remember?" Sasuke asked.

"Our clan was wiped out by our older brother. I find that hard to believe, not that I'm upset or anything." Madara states, getting a shocked look from Sasuke.

"Not upset? You and I both vowed revenge against Itachi. Madara, what the hell is wrong with you? First you leave our house in the middle of the night while half naked, then I find you standing out here, and now you're acting like you have no idea who I am." Sasuke states. Madara looks at her brother with caution. But after she flashes her Sharingan and found no Genjutsu being casted, she decided to soften a bit. Sasuke was shocked by this. He didn't know his sister had a Sharingan, something they've been trying to awaken for a while now. "Madara, how the hell did you awaken your Sharingan?" Sasuke asked.

Madara grabs Sasuke and drags him back inside the house she woke up in. "Sasuke, what I'm going to tell you is going to sound crazy. But I need you to promise me, as a fellow member of the Uchiha clan, that you don't tell anyone this." Madara says.

"What are you talking about, Madara? Sure, I promise." Sasuke says reluctantly, hoping that his sister would return to her senses soon.

"I'm not the same Madara Uchiha from this world." Madara states. Sasuke raised an eyebrow, but the girl raised her hand to stop him from cutting her off. "It seems that my soul was transferred to this body. I'm not originally from this timeline, nor am I from this generation." Madara states.

"But how is that possible?" Sasuke asked in disbelief.

Madara lets out an exhausted sigh. "I'm not sure. I had used one of our clan's techniques to escape death against Hashirama. However, something went wrong, and I woke up here." Madara explains.

Sasuke seemed to be in thought, though his face displayed an expression of disbelief. He was trying to take in all of this information. "So, you're Madara Uchiha, like, the original clan head?" Sasuke asked. Madara nods. "This is crazy. I bet you're incredibly strong and know all kinds of techniques. Hey, you can train me to get stronger so I can kill Itachi!" Sasuke exclaimed.

Madara raised an eyebrow. "Train you to kill Itachi? Sasuke, calm down. I don't have any interest in whatever agenda you have. What I'm focused on is trying to make sense of all this. Since you seem to have a better understanding of this world, I need you to explain everything to me. Like, what's my life like? Until I can fully understand everything, I need to play my part." Madara explains.

"Well, uh, you attend the ninja academy with me. We've got about a month until graduation." Sasuke says.

"Okay, so I'm an academy student… What's my personality like, do I have any friends I need to deal with? What's my level of skill at?" Madara asked.

"You don't exactly have much of a personality, not since the massacre. You hate everyone and everything, and you're only focused on getting stronger. As far as friends go, no, you don't have any. Truthfully, I figured you might be gay because you nearly kill every guy that hits on you." Sasuke states.

Madara chuckles a bit. "Doesn't sound like there is much of a change. Though, I could care less about the massacre. What is my level of skill? I need to make sure I don't overdo it." Madara states.

"You're considered a prodigy and the top kunoichi in our class. But you haven't awoken your Sharingan. However, you can probably reveal it at any time, since you're easily one of the best." Sasuke says.

Madara closes her eyes as she begins to stretch her senses out. "Sasuke, I'm curious, where is the nine tailed fox at?" Madara asked. Sasuke was a bit shocked by this question and had a confused expression.

"The nine tailed fox? Why are you concerned about that?" Sasuke asked.

"Just answer my question." Madara snapped.

"Uh, I'm not really sure. From my understanding, the Fourth Hokage killed it or something like that." Sasuke says.

Madara shakes her head, her expression shifting into one that shows annoyance. "No, that's physically impossible. You can't kill a tailed beast. They're nothing more than physical forms of chakra." Madara says.

Sasuke just shrugs. "I don't know then. That's what everyone was told. The Fourth Hokage killed the nine tails and gave up his life doing so." Sasuke explains.

"Hmph… Sasuke, are there any Senju or Uzumaki in this village?" Madara asked.

"Uh, why?" Sasuke asked.

Madara's temper began to flare as she scowled at Sasuke's constant questioning. "Because a tailed beast is usually sealed within a person! The only person who is capable of having Kyuubi sealed within them would be a Senju or Uzumaki. Now, are there any Senju or Uzumaki in this village?" Madara asked.

Sasuke held his hands up defensively. "Whoa, calm down. I think there is a kid in our class. Yeah, his name is Naruto Uzumaki. But I doubt he's got the nine tails sealed within him." Sasuke states. He then begins explaining to his sister that Naruto is the dead last of the class and can't even produce the basic clone jutsu.

"Of course he can't. If he's an Uzumaki, then his chakra reserves are far too much. Not to mention, if he's got the nine tailed fox sealed inside of him, his chakra would be even higher." Madara explains.

"I highly doubt that. If he had so much chakra, then he'd be able to produce all the techniques that Iruka has us learning. Just forget about that loser. He's just an idiot that only cares about playing pranks. Someone with our status has no business associating with someone so beneath us." Sasuke declares. He then looks over at a clock. "Hey, we need to get ready for school. Come on, you need to get dressed." Sasuke says.

Once Madara was dressed, she and Sasuke began walking from the Uchiha clan's compound. As they walked, Madara glanced all around, still trying to wrap her head around the fact that her mind and soul was transferred to another dimension. It didn't take them long to arrive at the academy where they were immediately met by the screams of two girls. Sasuke found himself tackled to the ground, grunting with annoyance at his two most loyal fangirls, Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka.

"Sasuke! You were fifteen seconds late, we thought something bad happened to you!" Ino exclaimed.

"Are you okay? Did someone cause you any problems? You probably kicked their butts, didn't you?" Sakura asked.

Sasuke was praying to God that a bolt of lightning would just evaporate his body, believing that to be far less painful than to deal with these girls. Madara kept a neutral expression. She glanced around the classroom, noticing the looks of infatuation her brother was given, along with the looks of desire she was receiving from the other male students. However, one boy in particular was scowling at her. His eyes were red, and he seemed to be struggling with something as he continued to fume and seethe.

"So, this must be the kid. Yeah, I can sense Kyuubi's chakra, and he's not exactly thrilled." Madara thought. She then walks over to the boy and crosses her arms. "You, what's your name?" Madara asked, her tone being sharp.

The boy continued glaring at her, almost like she was the bane of his existence and wanted nothing more than to kill her where she stood. Madara met his demonic gaze with her own harsh stare. This went on for a while until both were snapped out of by the sound of one of their classmates.

"Hey, Madara. Why are you over there by that loser? Come sit with me instead." A brown-haired boy said, his white ninja hound barking in agreement. Madara gave a cold glare to the boy, one that could freeze ice. That's when the Chunin instructor entered the room.

Iruka Umino called for the class to settle down, but it seemed none of them even acknowledged the man's existence. Madara felt it was pathetic. She then took a seat next to the blond, whose fists began to clench ever more. Madara could tell the fox wasn't happy at all but she wasn't worried. She knew if it came down to it, she could control Kyuubi with her Sharingan, even if it had only two Tomoe.

"Everyone, shut up!" Iruka yelled as his head increased in size. The entire class went silent, and they all took their seats. "Thank you. Alright, as you all know, in one month you'll be taking the graduation exam. It'll be on the clone technique. Make sure you are all studying and practicing. In order to graduate, you'll need to make at least two clones." Iruka explains.

Madara was in disbelief. Had the village softened up that much to the point that being able to produce a mere clone was enough to be a ninja? It was sickening to her. However, she then realized that the quality of ninja had gone down significantly, considering how most of these girls seemed only focused on having a relationship with her brother. Even some of the guys had their priorities all messed up.

"Naruto!" Iruka called out. This snapped the blond out of his fuming rage, causing his eyes to return to their normal cerulean color.

"Yeah, Iruka sensei?" Naruto asked, having been slightly confused. He wasn't aware of it, but the fox had taken over slightly, causing him to have a complete blank.

Iruka's gaze was stern. He knew what had just happened and was really concerned. Not so much with Naruto, but with the safety of everyone in the class and in the village. "Make sure you practice a bit more on the clone technique." Iruka says, causing Naruto to scowl with defiance.

"Hey, it's not my fault that this technique doesn't work for me!" Naruto exclaimed.

"I don't want to hear any excuses. You're simply not trying hard enough. Apply more chakra to your technique, then it'll work. I swear, if you dedicated yourself to your studies as much as you did your pranks, you'd be the Hokage by now." Iruka says.

Madara inwardly scoffed at this. "Apply more chakra? Yeah right. That kid is a chakra battery." Madara thought. As the lesson began, Madara paid little to no attention about the first ninja war, having already experienced the events and knowing the truth behind it. Her focus was primarily on Kyuubi's Jinchuriki. While Iruka was focused on the lesson and scolding those who weren't paying attention, Madara noticed that Iruka never once glanced over at the boy, who clearly showed no interest and even took a nap. Yet, Iruka didn't bother at all to tell him to focus. This intrigued Madara greatly, wondering if anyone else shared these feelings towards the boy.

Author's Note

This fanfic was motivated by the story "Kiyomi Uchiha" on Wattpad. I've decided to focus on a Naruto X Female Madara, but in the way that's different. I plan on covering the entire series of Naruto while adding on to it with some originality. Also, I've been doing some research and decided to not follow the same trend with how many fanfics are. Below is a list of things that will be omitted from this story.

No overpowered council that can overrule the Hokage

Naruto doesn't get abused by the village like how many fanfics have it

Naruto is not overpowered or Godlike, though being Kyuubi's Jinchuriki will give him more of a boost earlier on that it did in cannon

Sasuke won't be such an ass that he has no redeeming qualities as a character. In other words, he'll still be a prick, but his character won't be utterly hated

Naruto isn't masking his true talent or potential. We usually see fanfics that focus on him being a secret prodigy. Nah, he's a talentless loser without any skills, though he will improve.

I hope you guys enjoy this fanfic as I plan on making it much different than what's out there. I plan on having a fanfic that covers different ships for Naruto, along with some genderbending characters. I want to cover different ideas that aren't explored so much, such as the Female Madara Uchiha. I'll try to release one or two chapters a day, maybe more, maybe less. It just depends on my schedule, but know that we'll cover this from the start to the end.
