The Most Valuable Thing In This World!
To say Caldina was annoyed would be an understatement. Ascot had tried to abandon High Priest Zagato's cause just yesterday. Normally, she would've understood. Zagato was one scary guy, and Ascot had already been kicked out for failing. No. What made her mad was that he had done such a thing for the Magic Knights, of all people.
"Those kids are takin' advantage of everyone..." She muttered, ignoring the tugging on her cape. "We've gotta finish 'em off once and for all this time!" She then stopped, stretching a bit and accentuating her rather voluptuous body. "Now I declare, since I'm so fit and, and I always stay in shape..." She then brought her fist to her palm, her knuckles emitting a frankly painful sounding crack. "This little ol' Caldina's gonna have to take care of them kids!"
Ascot, meanwhile, kept tugging on Caldina's cape to no avail. "Hey! Let's stop already! Caldina! It doesn't matter now! I don't care about the Magic Knights!"
These words got Caldina to stop in her tracks, turning back to face the tiny summoner. "Come on, Ascot. If we get rid of the Magic Knights, Zagato will pay us lots and lots of money! How 'bout that?"
"Nah. I really don't want any money." Ascot denied. "Hey! What if we just left those Magic Knights alone, and then we-" He stopped when Caldina kneeled in front of him.
"Ascot!" Caldina scoffed. "I think you're very cute. Believe me, I think you're one of a kind! You're like a little brother to me, for real."
"Caldina..." Ascot muttered, a very tiny blush on his face. He was used to Caldina's antics by now, but that didn't mean he was unaffected.
"Money! Think about it, if you and I had that kind of cash, we could live it up! Now, and forever!" Caldina laughed, raising a hand to the sky, the sound of sleigh bells ringing out as she moved. Ascot couldn't help but stare, his mind going blank. But then Caldina's cape disappeared, and the illusionist leapt through a gap in the treeline and vanished from sight.
"Caldina!" Ascot called.
"I'll make sure I get those Magic Knights. This time... This time for sure!" Caldina's disembodied voice declared.
"Caldina..."
Coincidentally, the Magic Knights were walking through the same forest. Again. Look, there's a lot of woods, okay? Through a break in the treeline above, they could see the floating mountain, and their next destination.
"Alright now, Mokona." Umi stated. "How much farther do we have to go to reach that mountain?"
Mokona puued briefly, squishing himself like jelly in Hikaru's arms, and then he launched his head straight upwards in a point.
"I'm sorry, I don't speak Furby." Logan sighed, staring at the strange gesture.
"I know! It's a mountain." Fuu clarified.
"And just how many more do we have to climb!?" Umi demanded.
"Up. Hupup. Upubup. Hubup." Mokona chanted, shifting around four times.
"Four more?" Hikaru asked, making the tiny fluffball of a guiding familiar perk up in confirmation.
"It would certainly seem that way." Fuu confirmed.
"What!? Four more!?" Umi said incredulously.
"It's not like climbing the last mountain was too hard." Logan stated. "Outside of the illusions and hallucinating our hopes and dreams being taken away from us and almost dying and overall having a bad time."
"Unlike you and Miss Hikaru, we are not quite as athletic." Fuu correctly countered.
"I'm not really athletic either. I'm just light and therefore better at climbing."
"And what about you!?" Umi demanded, turning to Mokona. "Why are you so happy about this?!" She asked, getting right into the creature's face. "You know what has always bugged me about you? There's nothing behind your smile!" She ranted, stretching her face out with her hands to impersonate Mokona's eternal :3 face. "And why do you always disappear when we go into battle!? It better not be because you enjoy watching us getting in and out of trouble!"
Mokona finally leaned forward towards Umi, a stern expression on his face. "What do you want!?" Umi scoffed, returning the small familiar's glare. The two kept this deadlock for about five seconds before Mokona, without warning, pulled a Snoopy by closing the distance between himself and Umi and planting a kiss right on her lips.
Hikaru, Fuu, and Logan stared in shock as Mokona then leapt out of Hikaru's arms and started running as Umi began to chase after him. "Mokona! One of these days I'm gonna find out just what's inside that fluffy head of yours! You just wait!" Umi shouted, continuing to chase Mokona around in circles through the area.
"They're gonna be going at it for a while..." Logan sighed, shaking his head with a smile.
"Is that a hint of jealousy in your voice?" Fuu wondered. "If it was because of what Sir Mokona did to Miss Umi, need I remind you that your girlfriend is not even three feet away from you?" This comment turned both Logan and Hikaru's faces bright red with embarrassment.
"I- Uh- We-"
"F- Fuu..."
Fuu simply giggled at the fresh couple's flustered faces. "I understand if you do not wish to do such a thing now. It is rather intimate, after all. And your relationship is still young." She sighed. "Besides, we have much more pressing matters to deal with. Such as getting up there." She clarified, pointing towards the mountain in the sky. "To that boulder in the sky, where the second Rune God sleeps."
"If we just keep going and do our best, I'm sure we'll make it and find the second Rune God!" Hikaru reassured her.
"Endless optimism. That's one thing I love about you." Logan stated, rustling Hikaru's head.
"Oh, stop it." Hikaru giggled, pulling his hand away as Umi finally emerged from the chase victorious, holding Mokona up by the ears.
"Hold it right there!" An unknown female voice shouted from within the woods.
"I thought I heard something..." Fuu muttered, looking towards the treetops.
"It sounded like a woman's voice out there..." Umi agreed as the leaves began to rustle, their shadows dancing along the ground.
"The trees are..." Hikaru began, only for a swarm of bats to suddenly fly out and directly at them. The girls screamed in alarm, and all four Magic Knights turn to run, hoping to find safety. While Hikaru, Umi, and Logan had no issues continuing, Fuu tripped, landing in the dirt. She recovered quickly though, getting into a kneel and eyeing the bats flying around.
"I have no intention of deepening my relationship with these bats!" She said, getting up and running. Unannounced to her, she was actually running in a different direction than her friends, being seen by Hikaru.
"Wait, Fuu!"
"Wait! It's dangerous to be alone out there, Fuu!" Umi shouted.
"Dammit, Fuu!" Logan groaned, starting to run after her, followed by Hikaru and Umi. However, they didn't get far before everyone's favorite southern illusionist dropped in front of them, jiggle physics included (god i actually hate this). Her cold blue eyes met theirs, and they immediately went on the defensive.
"Who are you?!" Hikaru questioned, clearly not trusting this newcomer (and she'd be right).
"Is that any way to greet someone?" Caldina asked, once again stretching and showing herself off. "Especially someone who looks as magnificent as I'm lookin' today~?"
"Hikaru, I'm going to need some eye bleach later." Logan muttered
"I was going to say the same..." Hikaru sighed.
"Hey, wait a sec! doesn't she have a southern accent?" Umi pondered. "Huh. Well, do you think it's possible for the people of this world to have a southern accent? Maybe that's how people talk in southern Cephiro..."
"I'm Caldina. What are your names there, kiddies?"
"Well, I don't see why I should have to introduce myself at a time like this." Umi countered.
"My name's-" Hikaru started, only for Logan to clamp his hand over her mouth.
"Hikaru. I love you, but shut up." He whispered, making sure Caldina couldn't hear him. He then looked towards Caldina. "Look, we know who you are, who you work for, and what you want. But in case you haven't noticed, there's only three of us here right now. So if you could let us pass so we could find our friend before trying to kill us, it would be greatly appreciated."
"Aw, you don't have to worry none about her. You'll see." Caldina reassured him.
"And what the hell makes you think we trust you?"
"Aw, it's all gonna be just fine now. I'll make sure you get to see her again."
Hikaru and Umi gasped in surprise. A minion of Zagato's actually allowing them to go? "Oh, thank you!" Hikaru stated, a smile growing on her face.
"Well, I feel sorta bad about you thankin' me so honestly now." Caldina chuckled. "Because as y'all know... I work for Lord Zagato." She declared, leaping into the air, flicking her wrists and tapping her toes. Each time she moved, dancing in circles around the three of them, the gems on her shoes and gloves would emit the sound of sleigh bells.
"Oh, you've gotta be fuuuu..." Logan trailed as the light faded from his and the others eyes, merely becoming blank and glazed over, thoughts beginning to exit their heads.
"Don't listen..." Hikaru muttered. "Don't listen to the bells..." She advised, only to collapse alongside her two friends. As soon as their bodies hit the ground, Caldina stopped her dance, looking up with venom in her eyes...
Ascot was gliding through the woods, hoping he could find Caldina and stop her before she could hurt the Magic Knights. Of course, he was already too late, but it was the thought that counted. "Caldina! Hey, hey! Caldina!" He called, hoping to even hear her bells from the distance. At the same time, however, Fuu was still running from the swarm of bats that had actually gotten her to safety. They still refused to let up, leaving the girl to stumble near blind through the trees. She eventually stepped on a part of loose ground, maybe a trap set up by Caldina in case someone managed to run.
She screamed in alarm as the ground gave away, dropping her into a small pit. Thankfully, the bats didn't try to fly down and continue their assault. Her cry caught Ascot's ears, and the small summoner turned to see the bat swarm floating above the pit. Thinking on his feet, he grabbed two twigs from nearby and directed his rock platform into the swarm. "Hey! Hey! Shoo! Shoo! Go away! I'm telling you, go away!" He shouted, hoping to scare them off, swinging the sticks in his hand.
As he continued his endeavor, he eventually struck one of the bats, dispelling the magic within it and exposing its true form. A kind of cute bat-like creature with beady blue eyes and beige fur. Eventually, this effect spread to all the other bats, and they finally flew off. Ascot panted, tired from swinging his arms around and the shouting he had been doing. Now that the coast was clear, however, he was able to check on who fell into the pit.
He recognized the armor and the green uniform almost immediately. "Fuu...?" He whispered, only for the girl to start opening her eyes. Ducking back over the chasm, Ascot observed the girl's actions while remaining unseen. She looked around a little bit, realizing she was alone before getting to her feet and continuing in the only way she could go.
"Miss Hikaru!? Miss Umi!? Logan!?" She called into the darkness, hoping her friends were nearby. She didn't go far though before the wind started picking up. Under normal circumstances, this was nothing of note. However, this wind was strong. Incredibly strong. Almost knocking her off her feet. She stopped, trying to listen above the howling wind for any threats attempting to sneak up on her. But the gale-force winds just picked up more, throwing her off her feet and sending her flying an extreme distance away from where she started. Ascot was only able to track her movements because of the giant cloud of dust and the screaming coming from the chasm.
The winds stopped as quickly as they started, depositing Fuu face-down on the floor. She picked herself up once again, noticing the people standing in front of her. Red, white, blue.
"Oh, there you are!" Fuu sighed in relief. "I'm so glad to see you!" She called, running towards them. "Let's get out of here! We are in a wind tunnel! We must hurry!"
Their lack of a response struck dread and worry into Fuu's heart. She slowed to a stop just a little before Umi, who still refused to make eye contact. But then, before she could even process what was going on, Umi summoned her blade, swinging directly at Fuu and cutting deep into her arm, just below the pauldrons. She fell onto her knees more from shock than from pain.
"Why...?" She pleaded, staring at Umi and the bloody sword being held towards her. She got up, approaching her friend slowly. "Miss Umi... Why...?" A blur of red appeared in her peripheral vision, and she was barely able to stumble out of the way of Hikaru's incoming strike. "Miss Hikaru!?" Fuu yelped, now being stopped in front of her. It was then that the three Magic Knights lifted their heads, opening their dull, blank eyes.
"Miss Hikaru? Miss Umi? Logan? Why are you doing this!?" Fuu pleaded as Hikaru and Umi closed in to attack again. She kept dodging their attacks, clutching her bleeding arm until she finally slammed into a wall of the tunnel, Hikaru and Umi surrounding her, swords drawn. But before they could move to strike, a charming, southern giggle echoed out, and as the two Magic Knights before Fuu moved to the side slightly, she could see Caldina (despite not knowing it was her) sitting on a rock jutting out of the ground. It was a miracle that Fuu hadn't bumped into it when running. Logan stood next to Caldina, the only one without his weapons drawn. His face, which usually wore a confident smile, was now cold and uncaring, sending chills down Fuu's spine.
"You're pretty good at running away there, little missy." Caldina remarked. "It's starting to look like I might have to step in and finish the job." She sighed, leaping from her perch to stand just behind Hikaru and Umi. "I'm Caldina, a dancer. But I can also do things like this." She revealed, a bat flying out of her cape and stopping before Fuu, who gasped in surprise at the small jumpscare. But then the bat turned into it's cute, light form and flew off.
"Those were your bats...?" Fuu muttered. "So you cast a spell on Miss Hikaru and-"
"Ding dong~" Caldina sang. "All three of them now faithfully follow every order I give them."
"Caldina..." Fuu muttered. "I remember your name. You are one of Zagato's evil minions!"
"Uh..." Caldina huffed slightly, realizing that Fuu was at least partially correct. "Actually, if I'm able to defeat you, Magic Knight... I get tons of money!"
Fuu's expression shifted from one of anxiety and confusion to one of just confusion. "M- Money?"
"I'm a very highly paid professional dancer and illusionist. Now I really have nothing personal against of you. But of course, I'm still going to have to take care of you kiddos." Caldina explained, snapping her fingers. As soon as she did, Logan drew his sword and ran directly at Fuu, Hikaru and Umi stepping out of his way. Having let her guard down, Fuu was unprepared for the sudden attack until it was already in motion, swinging directly for her neck. She knew she wouldn't be able to duck in time, and so closed her eyes, hoping that her end would at least be swift...
SNAP!
Fuu felt the blade on the side of her neck, yet never felt the impact. And of course, she still had her head. But the miracle of her survival was quickly dethroned as her top concern when she considered the brutal sound she'd heard before opening her eyes. She thought over it for a second, and then a guttural scream filled the air.
The Master Sword, devoid of color and power, clattered to the ground as Logan clutched his already screwed up right wrist in pain, falling to the ground in agony. Fuu looked over at Caldina, who looked equally surprised. "L- Logan!?" Fuu cried, snapping out of it. "What's happened, are you okay!?"
He didn't respond, his screams turning to cries as he held onto his shaking hand. "Calm down! Move your hand, let me examine your wounds!" Fuu commanded, attempting to wrestle his hands apart. She eventually succeeded, sliding the sleeve of his hoodie down some and slightly moving his glove off to check his wrist. Despite the spreading mass on his hand making it a bit hard to see, she could still see the discoloration and swelling of a broken wrist. "Oh dear... Please, hold still!" She instructed, attempting to use her magic to heal him.
Caldina, however, had different plans. She finally got over her shock. "Stop her!" she demanded, and the two Magic Knights still under her control rushed forward, swords at the ready, forcing Fuu to abandon her work to dive out of the way. This action gave Caldina the time to grab Logan from the ground, his cries changing to panicked, pained breathing. She really didn't want him to die, he made a rather cute servant, after all.
"Miss Umi, wait!" Fuu pleaded, dodging another stab. "Miss Hikaru!"
"What's going on here? Why aren't you drawin' your sword and defending yourself against them?!" Caldina asked.
"Because Miss Hikaru and Miss Umi are my good friends! They are my dear friends because all four of us are alone here in Cephiro! I cannot bring myself to harm either one of them!"
"Such predilection for a child! Maybe this will get you to draw your sword!" Caldina scoffed, once again tapping her toes and flicking her wrists, sleigh bells sounding off once again. Hikaru and Umi's eyes flashed red and blue respectively, and their advances seemed to get even more aggressive. They weren't going to back down any time soon.
"What should I do...? What should I do about this?" Fuu muttered, only for the bushes near the top of the chasm to rustle, and Mokona's head barely popped out. The exposed gem shot a beam that startled Fuu, casting a light onto the nearby boulder, emitting a pink light. Upon tracing the beam back to its origin and spotting Mokona, Fuu glanced back at the glowing section of rock, and the image of Master Mage Clef now contained within.
"Here in Cephiro, everything is determined by one's heart." Clef's voice echoed, earning a gasp from Caldina.
"Mister Clef..." Fuu trailed.
"Having faith in your own strength is what changes the future." Clef declared. "Remember all the things you hold close to your heart." He instructed, and Fuu's mind almost involuntarily filled with faces she'd seen in Cephiro. Presea, Ferio, and of course her fellow Magic Knights, "And have faith in yourself!"
The glow vanished as Mokona went back into hiding. Hikaru and Fuu both charged at Fuu again. But instead of panicking and trying to dodge, she faced them head on. 'Strength of the heart which believes...' She mused, holding her hands at about a 45 degree angle, facingt he floor. "Winds of... Admonishment!" She called, wisps of green energy swirling around her before shooting out and wrapping around Hikaru and Fuu, suspending them in the air. With her bodyguards out of the way, Fuu finally drew her sword, rushing straight at Caldina, who dodged the incoming stab just a second before it hit her. She then push slightly on the blade, and brought Fuu into a deadlock by the time she reached her.
"Bravo!" Caldina cheered. "Quite a show from the little missy who would've become a Magic Knight! I must say, I'm impressed with your moves! But you shouldn't of drawn your sword. Not against me anyway!" She stated, then pushed off of Fuu's blade, flipping back a good distance away. "It's just too bad that more people aren't gonna be around to see this! Well, what's a girl to do? This 'oughta stir you up!"
Once again, Caldina began her dance, the gems on her gloves, earrings, and shoes jingling. While Fuu had no idea what it meant, someone else did.
"Cover your ears!" Logan shouted, his eyes still watering, still clutching his wrist in slightly alleviated pain. "The bells are how she controls you!"
Caldina turned back to face him. "How the hell did you-" She started, "How!? The sword!? The broken wrist!?" But she soon stopped upon hearing Fuu put her weapon away to put both hands over her ears. "Why you little-!"
As if her plans weren't already going to shit, there was a new voice that spoke out. One that drew the last straw for the illusionist. "Caldina!"
"Ascot!"
"The Magic Knights aren't bad guys! Can't we just forget about killing them, Caldina!?"
"Don't get in my way! Just shut up and watch!" Caldina shouted, swinging her hand through the air and launching a spell directly at Ascot. However, the summoner faced it head on, holding his arms out to the side and letting out a small shout as it impacted, completely immobilizing him.
"But... I thought Ascot here was your friend!" Fuu stated.
"He's more like a little brother to me, actually."
"Then why do you do such horrible things to him, and treat him the way you do?"
"Anyone could see that Ascot here is still a little kid. And I don't wanna stain his innocent hands with blood. Especially blood of the Magic Knights." Caldina explained, earning a gasp of shock from Fuu. "Let's end thi-" However, Fuu did not hear the end of her sentence, already anticipating Caldina to try and hypnotize her again, once again covering her ears.
"Why do you just have to go and be so damn stubborn!?" Caldina demanded, whipping around to face Logan as he stood up. "And you! How the hell did you break out of my control!? How are you resisting now!?"
"Ha... Ha... How I broke out...? Guess it was the shock and pain of breaking my fucking wrist." Logan chuckled, sucking some air through his teeth. "First time I ever broke a bone... As for how I'm okay now...? Clef said it, didn't you hear?"
"The heart which believes..." Fuu added, but Caldina was so focused on trying to iron out the kinks in her hypnosis to realize the implication that Fuu was now vulnerable. "Decides the future."
"Wait a sec-!"
"Emerald Typhoon!"
"No!" Caldina shrieked, the waves of energy slamming into her, combining with the nature of the wind tunnel they stood in to completely devastate Caldina, breaking the spells she had cast. Ascot's immobilization and the hypnosis on Hikaru and Umi both lifted. "No... No... This can't be! To think..."
"You know... I have multiple reasons to slap you." Logan sighed. "But I feel like if I tried, I'd break my hand clean off."
"To think that I, the best illusionist in Cephiro, was defeated by little kids like you!"
"I do admit that you were much stronger than us." Fuu conceded.
"Then tell me how!"
"You said that the reason you wanted to kill us was so that you could get a lot of money."
"Wait, did she a-" Logan started.
"Shush." Fuu interrupted him. "Go make sure the others are okay." She instructed, clearing her throat. "As I was saying, was the prospect of getting all that money worth the risk of injury, or perhaps even your very life?"
"Of course not!" Caldina denied. "My life is for me alone to live!"
"Well, apparently I feel that I can risk my life for the sake of my friends. You had every opportunity after Logan broke his wrist to kill me, and I knew that. Yet I still went and risked my life to try and save his."
"Risk your life?" Caldina asked.
"Yes."
"Have you really known each other that long?"
"No. None of us knew each other before we were summoned here to Cephiro together that day."
"Then how the hell is it that you're willing to risk your life for people you've only known for such a short time?"
"Time does not matter when it comes to the heart. No matter how short the time we have spent together, even if there are many things about them that I do not know of yet, I have decided to keep fighting alongside the three of them." Fuu continued, looking back towards the other three Magic Knights. Hikaru and Umi had been unconscious since their hypnosis ended, and Logan must have passed out while checking on them, as he sat next to Hikaru, his head on her shoulder, eyes closed and gently breathing. "Mister Ascot is much like myself, he tried his best to save you."
Caldina then looked at the ground, and realized that she was right. If Ascot and his floating platform hadn't weighed her down, she likely would have gone flying to her death after Fuu's attack. "Ascot!" She gasped, turning to face him while he remained face-down on the floor. "Look at 'im..." She cooed, placing a hand on his head, which immediately caused his platform to right itself, and he stood up, finishing the rest of the stifled cry he emit when first immobilized.
"Let's stop now, Caldina. Don't kill the Magic Knights... Huh?"
"Young Ascot has risked his very life to save us and Miss Caldina." Fuu pointed out, causing the summoner to look away with a bit of a sheepish expression. However, tension began to fill the air again as Caldina started laughing.
"Hahaha... I really can't compete with you, can I?" She asked, turning her head back to face Fuu.
"Miss Caldina?"
"Now I dunno if it's a good thing or a bad thing to have something you can risk your life for." She admitted. "But I think it's awfully special. 'Least you stirred up my soul more than Lord Zagato, who's whole reason for this mess is still basically unknown."
That caught Fuu off-guard. Not even Zagato's underlings knew his motives? "The objective of High Priest Zagato is not complete control over Cephiro?"
"Princess Emeraude is being prevented from usin' her powers o' prayer." Caldina explained. "And there's no point in becoming master of an unstable land full of monsters like this. I asked him 'Why don't you let Princess Emeraude continue her prayers, but hand over all power to you, and prevent this place from turnin' into ruins?' But he just laughed and said something like 'I possess something much more valuable than Cephiro."
"Something much more valuable than Cephiro? What could that be?"
"He refused to give me answers after we talked about that. I'm sure he has some reason deep down in his heart..." Caldina sighed, finishing her thought just in time for Hikaru, Umi, and Logan to finally wake back up. "What do you say we head on outta here?" The illusionist asked, referring to Ascot.
"Huh? You mean back to the castle?" Ascot wondered, but Caldina simply shook her head.
"I don't wanna go back to that old place ever again."
"Oh, that's great! I'm glad!"
Just then, Hikaru finally got to her feet, remembering what Caldina had done to her and her friends. "Hey, Fuu! She's with Zagato!" She stated like this was new information. She put one hand on her glove, as if going to cast a spell. Ascot flailed briefly, preparing to try and take the blow for her, but Fuu proved this unnecessary.
"It's alright, Hikaru. Miss Caldina is no longer our enemy."
"Caldina!? But how did."
"Hikaru, it's fine..." Logan groaned from the floor. "I get she broke my wrist, but seriously, it's okay. We've dealt with her."
"She broke your wrist!?"
"Hell yeah she did." Logan chuckled, only to pull some more air through his teeth. "Ouch."
"And besides, she's someone Ascot would sacrifice his life to protect." Umi added. "Right, Ascot?"
Ascot blushed a bit at the sudden attention. "Yeah, sure..."
"Now, we can't really do much for ya." Caldina said, leaning over Ascot to be more at eye-level with the Magic Knights. "But y'all take care~ Zagato's a powerful man. Oh, and, uh, what are your names? I asked for 'em earlier but never got 'em."
"Yeah, sorry about that..." Logan chuckled. "Logan Handley."
"Hikaru Shidou!"
"Umi Ryuuzaki."
"Fuu Hououji."
"Alright... Got it." Caldina hummed. "Right, Logan? Sorry 'bout the wrist."
"It's fine. 'Guess I should apologize for your gambling money."
"What?"
"Hm?"
"Uh... Well, let's get goin', Ascot!" Caldina requested.
"I, uh..." Ascot stammered, still staring at Umi, his face slightly red.
"We'll meet again, Ascot." She reassured him. "We won't say goodbye."
"After all, we're all friends now!" Fuu confirmed.
"Yeah! I'm sure we'll meet again soon!" Hikaru agreed.
"Yeah!" Ascot said with a smile, pulling Caldina's arms around him to make sure she didn't fall off. And then he blasted off on his floating platform, high into the sky and out of the sightlines of the Magic Knights in seconds.
"Damn... He's fast." Logan remarked. "And he was also staring at you, Umi." He remarked, making Umi's face flush red. "Hey. I made my confession. So now I'm not being a hypocrite when I say that."
"Do you want me to break your other wrist!?"
"No!" Logan pleaded, stepping away.
"Then you better stop making comments like that!"
"Never!"
Umi just groaned and started running after him. Yet he just laughed and started making his escape, mirroring the scene with Mokona and Umi earlier in the day. Hikaru and Fuu simply watched the two's antics and sighed, smiling.
"He's your responsibility, Miss Hikaru." Fuu remarked.
"Yep. He is." Hikaru admitted. "Alright, get back here!" She called, sprinting after him. "At least let Fuu heal you!"
Fuu simply watched the three of them and shook her head. They'd come around eventually...
