After months of preparation and planning, it was finally wedding day for Jane and Thor. The park was decorated beautifully with red and white roses and the archway was covered in silver vines.

Asta walked toward Loki, who was impatiently waiting for Thor. His jaw hung open.

"My sweetness, you look absolutely captivating! Though, I would prefer you in green," he said with a smirk. "And perhaps in a dress that looks less like an upside down wine glass."

"Oh, I think it's cute! It twirls!" Asta said as she spun. The full, knee length skirt flared out as she turned.

Loki scrunched his face. "If you like that. I'm more of a…" He turned his hand at her and transformed her dress into a long, form fitting, red silk dress that was cut far too low for her liking, and had a slit on each thigh that reached far too high.

"Loki! This is not appropriate!"

He grabbed her hips and pulled her close. "That's the point," he murmured in her ear.

Asta wanted to give into him, but there wasn't time. "Ok, ok. Maybe we can play with this one later."

Loki smirked as he changed her dress back. He kissed her forehead and smiled. "Now, was there something else you needed, darling?"

"Shit, yes! You distracted me! Have you seen the bride or groom?"

"No, but I was looking for Thor as well."

"It's almost time to be ready and we need a few pictures. We were supposed to meet by the arch. Darcy is looking for her too."

"Have you tried the enclosed pavilion? Perhaps Jane and Thor are in there… getting cozy… and naked." Loki laughed at the frustration on Asta's face. "Unless they were going with the archaic tradition of not seeing the bride as well?"

"I thought they were. Jane had mentioned it at least. But I'll bet your brother has talked her out of it. It doesn't matter. I just want to get the pictures done."

"Why am I catching flack for this? 'My brother'? "

"Oh calm down. I'm just stressing. We do need to find them, though."

"Well, I shall endeavor to locate them as well. Whoever finds them first gets a prize?"

"Even today you have to make it about you?" she said with a playful smile.

"When it comes to Thor? Absolutely."

"Let's worry about a prize later. For now, let's just get this done."

Loki kissed her soundly. "You'll find them. And then we'll get through this ceremony, and then I'll have you in my arms on the dancefloor all evening."

"You do have to dance once with Darcy. She's the Maid of Honor and you're the Best Man."

He sighed. "Fine, I suppose she is tolerable enough for one dance. I won't like it though."

Asta reached up to straighten his bow tie. "Well, try not to scowl too much. The photographer will likely snap one as you dance."

Loki frowned. "The things I do for my brother."

"Yes, you're a regular saint."

"Mockery isn't nice, love."

"Says the god of mockery. I'll be seeing you at the arch soon. Any luck, we'll have a bride and groom there too."

"This won't be nearly as enjoyable as watching you walk towards me for our ceremonies, but I suppose I can make do."

Asta patted his cheek. "I'll make it worth your while later. I promise."

"I shall hold you to that. Now go. I look forward to seeing this skirt rise later."

"Loki!"

"What? You showed me how it twirls! I imagine it will look fun as we dance!"

Asta raised an eyebrow at him.

He smirked back at her. "I stand by what I said."

"Ok then, troublemaker. I'll know where to find you."

She took off for the pavilion then. And as she ran, Loki couldn't help but maybe like that dress after all.

Once she got close to the makeshift building, what Asta found melted her heart. Jane and Thor were on either side of the tarp, leaning against each other and talking softly. She sighed as she walked closer. She took out her phone and snapped a picture, then sent it to Loki with the message: Found Romeo and Juliet. I think I'll need your help here.

Within seconds, Loki teleported behind her. "Yes, my love?"

"Loki!" Asta hissed through clenched teeth. She glared as he smiled at her. Once she caught her breath, she whispered, "We're going to scare them, and then separate them."

"Ooh, we're pranking people? I must warn you, darling, a startled god of thunder is not enjoyable to deal with."

"Yes, I know. I've seen it. But here's the plan, we'll jump out and get the initial jolt out of the way, then you'll grab Thor and teleport him to… I don't know, somewhere safe. And I stress safe. Then I'll take Jane to the arch for pictures. And we'll be all set for the ceremony then."

"I love when your mischievous streak shows. Makes my pride soar!"

"Yes, I'm so glad. Let's go."

They quietly crept towards the pavilion. "You two are very late," Asta said as she approached.

Thor and Jane jumped at her voice.

"Søster!" Thor yelled as he jolted. "What are you doing here?" (Sister)

"I could ask you the same question, bror kjære. You do know that pictures need to happen so we can actually get to your wedding?" (Brother dear) She turned to Loki. "Get him."

Loki flashed over to Thor, grabbed him by the shoulders and blinked away.

"Where did my fiancé go?" Jane screeched.

"He's fine… probably. But you're late. Let's move," Asta said as she pulled Jane along.

Finally, once the pictures were taken, the ceremony completed, more pictures were taken, and the first dances were finished, Loki stood to give his speech.

"Yes, hello. I am Loki, the groom's best man and brother. Thor and I have had a bit of a tumultuous relationship over the years. We're not exactly similar people. I am more of the quiet studious type and Thor is… well, Thor. However, there has never been a time when I questioned his loyalty or his friendship. My brother is one of the best men I have ever known and has always made life interesting. And now he has Jane, the new studious type in his life. Hopefully he won't make you as crazy as he made me. But still, he is lucky to have her. She grounds him and he lifts her, a perfect balance. They are a match made in the stars and I wish them nothing but peace and bliss. And now I raise my glass to the happy couple. To Thor and Jane!"

And after dinner, Loki was finally able to hold his wife on the dancefloor.

Asta tucked a stray hair behind his ear as they danced. "Thank you for smiling during your dance with Darcy."

"As I said, she is tolerable. And she actually said a few humorous things," he replied.

"Loki Laufeyson found a Midgardian to be bearable and amusing? Are you feeling well, my love?"

"Your sarcasm isn't appreciated, my sweet."

Asta smiled up at him. "You love my sarcasm. Always have."

"Yes, I suppose I do. I just love it more when it isn't directed at me. Besides, I like some Midgardians! Barton and Morgan I find to be very entertaining."

"Fair enough." The music changed and Asta smirked. "Care to show off a little?"

"With you? Always." He quickly pulled her into a ballroom hold and led her into the complicated steps they both knew so well. "Though, I thought stealing thunder was my thing."

"You bring out the mischief in me, my prince."

Loki bent and kissed her softly, still never missing a step.

Thor could only shake his head as he watched the couple spin around the dancefloor. Jane laughed.

"You'll have to teach me to dance like that," she said.

"I'm afraid I don't have the skills of my brother," Thor laughed. "But I'll take any excuse to hold you close, my love."

As the night dragged on, it was time for a break from dancing and Asta couldn't help but grin as she saw Loki smiling at his brother. Years of being pitted against each other by Odin hadn't ruined their relationship as she once worried it would. Now, they looked at each other with pride and brotherly love, instead of the contempt that could have been.

"You're staring," Loki said, startling her from her thoughts. "What are you beaming at, my precious?"

"My two favorite brothers and how things worked out for them both. I'm over the moon at your good fortunes."

"And by good fortunes you mean the good women in our lives?"

"Not entirely, but yes, we do rank high on the lists," Asta added with a wink.

"I'd say you're both number one with a bullet. These brothers wouldn't be much without our strong wives."

"Flattery will get you everywhere, your highness."

"Oooh," Loki growled. "How much longer until we can finally leave this party?"

"Well, it's your brother's wedding reception and you're the Best Man. I'd say we need to stick around a little longer."

He pouted. "But all of these guests will understand if we just slipped away," he said making his fingers walk.

"Yes, but it's still poor form. Doesn't a future king have a certain decorum to uphold?"

Loki rolled his eyes. "Fine. We'll watch a while longer whilst the oaf gets more foolishly intoxicated than even I expected."

"He is quite sozzled, isn't he?"

"Yes. I think Jane will be quite disappointed tonight. These never end without him sleeping it off for a ridiculous amount of time." He smirked at that.

"And there goes the brotherly love," Asta chuckled.

"Oh, I still love the fool. It is perhaps the brotherly side that makes this so amusing to me."

"And these are the times that I'm glad I was an only child for so long."

"Yes, between Thor and Hela, it's easy to understand why only children are happy to be so."

"It's barely a fair comparison," Asta agreed. "Well, my darling. Shall we show them once again how the dancing is done?"

"Mmm, I love when dancing is your foreplay."

She sighed. "You're incorrigible."

"You love it," he said with a smirk as he led her back to the dancefloor.
