"Marinette, I've got the mail!" Adrien walked into the back kitchen at the Dupain-Cheng's. "Oh, thanks, Adrien!" Marinette washed her hands in the little sink as they had been previously covered with flour.

Marinette flipped through it quickly, most of it for the recycle. She paused as a creamy thick envelope appeared and her face lit up, looking at Adrien. "Its from the school I applied for! You know, for design school?" her voice rose in excitement as she ripped it open.

"Dear Miss Dupain-Cheng," she read aloud. "We are pleased…." her voice trailed off as her bluebell eyes scanned the rest of the letter. "Adrien, I got into my dream school! Isn't this exciting?" she rushed to hug him, letter fluttering to the floor. "Wait till I tell Mama and Papa!"

"Tell us what?" Mama said, the kitchen door swinging. "Wait one moment dear, hot bread loaf coming through," Papa said.

To Adrien, everything sounded as if it were underwater, muffled and distorted. "But I don't want you to move away," Adrien whispered. He felt numb. He and Marinette did everything together, literally.

Mama took one look at Adrien, and knew something was wrong. "Marinette, how about you and Papa go pick up a cake and we can celebrate during supper," Mama suggested, picking up the letter. Marinette hung up her apron quickly. "Let's go, Papa!"

After they left, Mama came and took hold of Adrien's hand. "I know your happy for her, but its kind of a shock, isn't it? How about we go upstairs and have some tea?" Adrien nodded, squeezing her hand.

Mama's cure for everything was tea, and Adrien loved that.

"Your right, I am happy for her," Adrien said, a few minutes later, wrapping his hands around the warm cup. "But when you do everything together, including saving the city, you feel a little lost when there not around."

"Adrien, its normal for you to miss her, but you must remember one important thing. She still loves you. That part will never go away." "Absence makes the heart grow fonder," Adrien repeated the quote.
"Why is this so hard?" "Because you love her. Adrien, I promise its going to be okay."

Adrien's throat grew tight, tears glistening in his eyes as he looked at his almost mother-in-law. "You give the best advice, Mama. And if Mother can't be around, I'm glad your here."

Mama held him tight, and Adrien shed a few tears, which was only natural. He straightened up when Marinette and Papa came back in. "We got drinks and cake! Adrien, what's wrong?" "Sorry," he wiped his face, "I'm just going to miss you." Marinette gave a light laugh. "You wouldn't have to miss me. My school is in Paris."

Adrien's face brightened like the sun. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's celebrate!" Marinette caught his hand, leaning close. "And Adrien?" "Yes." "I love you," she gave him a kiss. Adrien's eyes twinkled. "Now that I am going miss."
