Conflict of interests: Non-killing army, Rated heroes, Blizzard Bunch, Wild horn, Pink Hornet, Magic Trick Man, Bluefire, Heavy tank loin cloth, Snek, Smile Man, Flame dragoon, Frost raven, Forest Lord.
The class had been waiting around outside of the tunnels system next to DO-S room, they had cleared most of the rubble from the explosions out of the way and were waiting around and as expected their had been a consistent but slow stream of monsters that had been ushered their way but some were by complete happenstance and in that event the monster did try to attempt to attack them but the group was easily able to subdue them easily enough and explain to them what was happening of course even the monster that were purposely heading there way was also still nervous and didn't really trust them as they ushered them into one of the five large cages but when the other option was for them to take their chances trying to run off outside of the ghost town and proceed on their own they warned them that the place was surrounded by both the police and the military so they would have to fight to get anywhere to freedom and if they attempted to stay inside of the ghost town they would have the chance to run into lesser than friendly heroes than they were and for the most part that had managed to convince most of them that their intentions were pure enough they had an even greaters sense of trust when the words came from the actual other monsters which participated alongside them.
That was the main role that the monsters that had come from the preserve played in their operations to get the other monsters to trust them and reduce conflict with their strength. All the monsters seemed to respect strength more than anything else, but they didn't want to conjure fear in them but just have them as examples of what their lives would be like in the preserve. A lot of the monsters were surprisingly open to the suggestion. Still, this suggestion was also guided, primarily as a means of survival. Most of the monsters that they had come across remarked that they had an "encounter" with Zombie Man that scarred them, which to Tokoyami made sense. The slow stream of monsters continued before the vibrations of the Child Emperor's machine rocked the landscape. The group took notice but held out hope that the boy was doing okay, but Momo was a bit anxious due to the time limit the machine had, so after explaining why it had a time limit, both Volten and Kaminari volunteered to go and help the child prodigy.
Jiro was a bit skeptical to have him leave out to such a dangerous field and considered just telling Midoriya about it instead however Kaminari thought it was too perfect a fit for him and Volten and they were still searching for garou so they still needed him around it was their fault that he was still inside after all, Jiro relented but thump the boy on the chest and made him promise not the be a dumbass and get back as soon as he could and Kaminari hugged her and promised that he would as he used one of his lighting capsule to shift into his lighting god mode before he and volten took off leaving the others behind as they ventured into the monster association base and disappeared in a burst of blue and yellow lighting.
The class continued to wait around and more and more monsters started to funnel their way to them, most of the monster lacked the will to put up a fight against them in fact most seemed to only wanting to get away as quickly as possible some even questioning when they would have the opportunity to leave of which the only thing keeping them there was actual capacity, the five cages were massive capable of holding probably dozens of monsters each depending on their size and given that a good majority of the monsters that had approached them for prosper were on the smaller side it left them in a positions where they would just have to wait for even more monsters to show up, eventually enough monsters had appeared there was just under 60 monsters inside of the cage before Momo decided to wrap it up and lock the cage down and send it on it's trajectory to the monster preserve and just as she was about to do so when the entire town seemed to start rumbling and soon after a large massive laser shot up from the earth into the skies above everyone watched the spectacle of beam of energy. Jiro immediately radioed Kaminari to see if he was okay. He said that he was doing fine, that the beam was them, and that they had won, which allowed the girl to relax her nerves at least somewhat.
Once the beam was finally done and gone, Momo found it appropriate to send the first cage on its way. It locked down and completely sealed itself with the monsters inside of it. The massive cage was then covered in a largely invisible film that would cover over the cage so that when it flew it didn't raise too much suspicion from at least a visual perspective, it was Momo improvising and also including a large-scale version of Drive Knights tech blanket to hide it from radars and other electronics sensors but this could also prove to be a double edge sword as she didn't want helicopter or planes to accidentally smash right into it by accident so each has a very low-level tracker on them that some of the hero associations top brass whom are on their side would have access to their general location and could redirect anything around the large cage as it has flown to its destination.
The cage flew away and the monsters that had been left behind were complaining about not being able to do so now especially when the monsters saw that giant blast tore through the sky, but Momo assured them that they would have their own moments to leave when they filled up the next cage meanwhile Tokoyami was tasked with going down the center hole and checking up on kaminari and the others, when the dark teen had arrived with Child Emperor and some small bird monster instead the class was notably concerned about what had happened to Kaminari but he assured them that he was doing fine and that him and Volten were going to make their track up by themselves and see if they could find the child in the meanwhile as they were doing so, the class as a whole didn't like the decision but they guessed it would be for the best since the child could be anywhere now that they had carried it off, there was some relief in the fact that one of the monster cadres was down but that just drove the class into a worry spree as there were many more like it and their worries were confirmed when kaminari had told them that he had run into or more specifically "dragged" into battle with another of the cadre, tank top master was with them but was out of commission so he requested back up because he was sure that they couldn't take the monster on their own.
The monster they were facing was none other than Energizer. The class got together and wanted to brainstorm who they would send between Bakugo, Todoroki, and Tokoyami. Bakugo was eager to go out and fight, so he was going to go regardless, but Energizer was strong in terms of the VGS. He was about 2000, and Bakugo, despite his bravado, didn't like his odds in fighting the monster, even after he powered up from the purified monster cell.
He was near 800 comparatively, so that was a problem, but it sure beat out Sparky. However, his natural ability likely gave him some edge in that regard, and they didn't want to take the chance of sending all of their big guns down there to help Kaminari, which left the others defenseless. If something big came outside, Momo's machines would likely be fairly useless against the monster as well, so that was also a no-go.
Sigusmand was also present, given that the day was Sunday and all of the Sigismund monsters could function in the open as long as some of them stayed within a certain distance of the others, now 800 meters from their previous 300. Eris offered the uniqueness of being able to transform into others and even use some of their powers, but only with Sigismund would he be able to complete a perfect transformation. Other than the atheistic differences from a non-perfect transformation, it also held the edge in actual capability. With a perfect transformation, he could completely mimic the abilities of the person he transformed into. As long as Sigismund knew what those abilities were and how they worked and operated, he could technically transform into the entire class at this point from the amount of time he's spent with them, which would offer them an increased edge in combat, especially since he was on the larger scale of demons at 600, which increased even more with their fusion to 750.
The problem, as always, was putting the boy in the heat of the battle, but Bakugo assured that the kid would be alright with him, and the kid was pretty strong; if he had all of his monsters present at the time, he likely would have been the strongest one among them. However, the rest of the monsters, besides Shadowman and Dragon Lord, of course, were inside the monster association, searching around and spreading the word of the non-killing army escape route.
So the choice was settled: both Bakugo and Sigismund would be sent to help Kaminari and Volten in the battle, and off they went, but even as they went, the class was still worried about them, and if that would be enough to beat a cadre, they elected to trust the explosive teen, and he remarked that if they couldn't handle it, they would just leave. The class watched as the two left before they continued with their mission. Several more monsters started to filter through the hole of the monster association, as apparently, their little route had been making rounds inside the monster association itself just as they planned. The monsters were conflicted, thinking it was a trap or not, so some were skeptical about coming their way. The teens understood the monster's skepticism and even allowed some of them from the monster association to head back into the base to tell other monsters that it was ok to travel but they should hurry as another of the cages was nearing full, leaving only three more cages left for transport.
A few minutes later, another 60 monsters were lit off for transport. Part of the class was somewhat worried about introducing so many monsters into the preserve at once, but at that point, natural selection would be at play. They could save them from the heroes, but they couldn't save them from themselves. They had 40 square kilometers to work with. If they miraculously started fighting, then they may not have been saving them in the first place. As the cage lifted away, gunshots suddenly resounded out behind them. The bullets were targeted at Scaledon, but they had completely no effect on the large monster; it only merely managed to get its attention as it turned around along with the rest of the class, as they were shocked when 30 heroes were standing 30 meters away, and judging by how they greeted them, it didn't seem like they were coming over for just a friendly chat.
30 minutes prior
Sekingar watched as Child Emperor flew off with Tsukuyomi. He was assured by Sitch that the non-killing army would be contained in a separate operation, so why were they there? Since their inception, he was always curious about them and their group as a whole, The gimmick that surrounded them was worrisome, to say the least, but any objections he brought up to sitch mostly fell on deaf ears or maybe the association didn't seem to think it too much of a problem, he knew of the secrete monsters under the base he had no clue why they were their or their purpose he assumed they were for research purposes but if that were the purpose then it was likely all for naught due to the actions of the non-killing army rather directly or indirectly remains to be said but the fact of the matter was it was them capturing the monster dog creature that allowed all of the other monsters to escape out into the wild again while thankfully darkshine was able to take care of a couple them but more than a few had managed to escape which only served to bolster the monster association forces even more.
There were also complications revolving around the hero hunter. Green Savior was seen engaging with the hero hunter and failing to capture it from personal reports, and the hero association's assessment of Deku was someone of considerable power and skill, rivaling and even, in some cases, succeeding that of Darkshine with a heroic aptitude that was far higher than that of the majority of the S-class proper, so his essentially allowing the hunter to escape and allow him to continue on his rampage was highly suspect, while some, if it could be chalked up to inexperience, had expected better results from the prodigy hero.
This led him down a road of thinking that perhaps there was more to it than that. They were somehow forgiving of monsters, so why not criminals? One was certainly worse than the other, and for all of Garous's rampages, he never killed anyone, at least directly. His rampages injured numerous heroes who would have been available for the coming invasion. When it was revealed that he had ties to the monster association, it became all too clear why his assaults started so quickly and rampantly.
King had managed to put a pause on the hero hunters hunts but he inwardly cursed the decisions for the hero association to allow bang and bomb to take him away and not be restrained in a proper prison and evidently he was freed from their capture by his friends in the monster association which they kept underwraps which could have proved disastrous but more than that the non-killing army seemingly sheltered the dangerous man away, one of their number had apparently knew of where the hunter was situated and after an investigation was done it was found that the only one capable of doing such a thing was silver wukong, his numerous request to S-city seemed suspect and none of the heroes within that city remarked that they had very rarely encountered the hero on their patrols around the city itself, the only reason he wasn't questioned for such transgressions was mostly due to the fact that no hard proof was found of his direct involvement and at the possibility of even if he was involved whatever he was doing with the hunter proved enough to placate the hunter to prevent him from going on another spree of attacking heroes especially as the monster made their declaration for when the fighting will commence between their two orgainizations.
He simply didn't trust the non-killing army and having them so close to them when they should have been elsewhere was concerning Tsukuyomi not telling him of anything didn't do their group any favors and with the child on the loose inside the base he couldn't afford any other distractions or surprises, the teens where their illegally and he didn't know what their true mission was, so he wanted to figure that out first and if he didn't like it put a stop to them however he was under no speculation that he lacked the sufficient amount of force to do such a thing the non-killing army while only numbering in 20 people still had power.
A number of them were high-class heroes and even possessed 4 S-class of their own, so a confrontation was likely a no go even if he pulled all of the remaining heroes on the surface there was a chance they wouldn't be able to get them to leave however he still wanted to at least shake them up whatever operation they were doing over there and he had the perfect cannon fodder to do so, the rated hero initiative was sitch idea.
He had hoped for it to fail, but Sitch was his boss for a reason, and they had proved most useful. Their dedication to fighting the monster threat rivaled that of the traditional heroes themselves, but there was no doubt in his mind that most of that was in the fact that after the raid on the monsters, they would all be part of their initial crimes and be released as new people entirely. They had the prime motivation to ensure this mission was completed, and he could use that to send them again to the non-killing army, but he would, of course, need chaperones for the matter as well, so he would still need a handful of heroes from the surface team to accompany them.
The first thing Sekingar did was manually message each of the teams and ask about the situation and how the group was holding up. He was happy to hear that most of them had been managing well with almost no injuries or infighting, so he continued and ordered that all of the groups first send the rated heroes within their roster towards him. Once he got affirmative feedback from the groups that they were on their way, he then went about doing a roster check and selecting a few of the regular heroes to accompany them.
Just in case the rated heroes decided to act out and ensure their continued obedience but also to report on what the non-killing army was doing after some shuffling and rearranging of the guard and ensuring that the hero's part was still covered, he sent them all on the 30 man posse on their way in the general direction. He last saw the Child Emperor's transponder before he made his way back into the base with what was supposed to be a closed pathway.
To Kill or to Save: Heroes vs. Heroes
The class and the blizzard group all turned their attention towards the large group standing a few dozen meters away, the class rushed forwards to get in front of the monsters present just in case they were going to fire upon them again, they also got between them and the monsters to ensure that they didn't do anything to trigger even more conflict that would happen between the two of them, scaledon wasn't hurt but more insulted on the attack on himself and the other monsters with them such as lord great white also seemed patiently perturbed even asking could he kill them for their transgression instead of just doing so but Sero was quick to dissuade the large shark monster to not do just that even when one of the members of the group fired again at it causing Sero to defend against the attack with his tape.
The class, along with Goddess Glasses, Fubuki, Eyelashes, and Mountain Ape, approached the large group of heroes and discussed what they were doing there and why they attacked them.
"We did not attack you; we attacked the monsters, which is our job," the man with a rifle replied back.
"Why are you helping the enemy escape? Are you all really traitors to mankind itself!?" Blue Fire yelled loudly as he approached the non-killing army and held his artificial flamethrower out in front of them. The teens all took up combat positions to defend themselves.
"What we are doing is of no concern to you all, but I can assure you that none of us want the extinction of humanity." Iida replied
"Yet you aid monsters with such goals? Are you monster sympathizers so far gone that you do not see the contradictions?" heavy tank loincloth remarked with a huff as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at them.
"There is no contradiction; the monsters that are here simply don't want to fight anymore; they gave up. It would be a crime to execute them." Momo argued
"Monsters are not afforded such human privileges." Justice Maker remarked as he came up to them, his hat tipped forward, hiding his eyes under its large size, but he was forced to take a step back as a light arrow shot down from out of nowhere and landed next to his foot. The rated heroes took that as a sign of aggression and prepared themselves for combat, but before anything more could happen, a scythe was thrown down between the two groups, causing everyone to turn towards the owner of said weapon, which was Lady Death.
"Now, everyone, I'm sure we don't want to start a brawl, now do you?" Lady Death remarked.
"Speak for yourself; you heard Sekingar; if they were up to something that went against the association, then it's our job to take care of it. Do you want your record cleared or not?" Justicemaker replied as he hefted his gun again before Lady Death forcibly pushed it down again, causing the man to sneer at her.
"I never said we weren't going to fight, but I'm adamant that we shouldn't start a brawl, other than the S-class on their side, which would be hassle enough. There is also the Fubuki group, and those monsters in the back seem pretty tough as well. If they start moving and helping, there is no telling if we will get out of this alive. Tell me, Savior, what's their disaster level if you don't mind me asking, of course," the woman remarked as she pulled up her scythe from the ground and looked directly at Iida.
"The four that are with us are each at least a demon-level threat, two of them closer to a dragon, most likely." Iida remarked with severity to hammer the point home.
"Oooh, see boys, as I said, we shouldn't just start a brawl; we can't win." Lady Death remarked with a mock shiver as the group of rated heroes, while still maintaining a neutral expression, mainly due to being hardened criminals, did noticeably tone down the cocky aura they exceeded from before, which was much better than the regular heroes as noticeable fear was present on their faces. Besides the A-class, of course, they were very much more on guard than before.
"So what do you propose instead? I assume you made a point in clarifying everything." Fubuki remarked, stepping out in front of the class, The girl looked at the woman curiously for a moment before she slung her scythe around herself.
"As I said, while I'm opposed to a full-on brawl, especially since we'd lose, I'm not up against a fight. As the justice maker said, this is our big gig; if we disobey, then we likely won't get cleared, and I can't have that. So how about this? There are 30 of us; you send out 30 of your people, and we fight one versus one. Whoever has more wins between the two groups, of course, wins, and the loser has to listen to the winning group, and you all and your monster pals need to scram. It sounds like a fair deal, right? But of course, the only catch is no monsters." Lady Death replied.
"Well, that sounds agreeable, although I'm pretty sure that I could take all of you on my own." Goddess Glasses said as she stepped up many mutters through the ranks of the rated heroes.
"So you were here, huh? You know you are one of us. Why are you siding with them?" Toxin remarked stoically.
"Well, you could say I have more in common with them than the rest of you... What about you guys? Do you want to take up their offer, or should I just make them all my love knights?" The girl replied simply with a shrug of her shoulders before turning to the rest of the class.
There were a couple of murmurs before, but ultimately, mostly out of being bored and not wanting to resort to brainwashing, the class all agreed to Lady death terms; they were all confident in themselves to win the competition, and if they could win without using mind control, it could go a long way to satisfy both parties so that when they returned, it would be more authentic and easy to sway Sekingar.
"All right… See, guys, I'm a good negotiator, but I think we should find a spot first. You guys gather your 30 people, and we will move on to a proper spot. These train tracks can cause some people to trip and fall. We can't have people cry foul when we lose, can we?" Lady Death remarked, and everyone nodded in understanding before starting to make their way.
The class was missing their entire assembly, and even with the auditions of Goddess Glasses, Jackie, and Charanko, it didn't offset the number, and it was here that Fubuki came in to return the favor, offering herself and a couple of her men from the blizzard bunch to bunch, and the remaining group would stay behind and watch over the monsters. One of them was nervous, but they assured Fubuki that nothing would go wrong, even though the monsters would likely be the ones doing the heavy lifting in any such event.
Round 1: Lady Death vs. Iida
The group had finally managed to find a place where they could settle their difference a simple courtyard like the rest of the abandoned city it was mostly rundown and broken up but it was the clearest place for their small tournament to occur, some of the heroes questioned who were the three unknowns being Jackie, Charako, and Aki but the class managed to deflect and just say that they were like indeed individuals who also thought similar to themselves and were vigilantes and did hero work on the side, of course, while the main group of heroes regarded this as something bad and that they should not have dragged civilians into a warzone they assured them that they could take care of themselves.
The one to start the match was no better than the one who suggested it, which was Lady Death. Given that they were the ones challenging the teens, they allowed them to pick whoever they wanted to fight before they started, and for the rated hero, there was no one else better than she wanted to battle other than her "savior." She wanted the rematch now that she had her main weapon and had gotten stronger than before, but the same could be said for Iida, so he wasn't worried about the girls challenging her as he stepped up to the field.
The two paced around each other for a moment before Iida made the first move, accelerating and using both of his arm and leg mufflers to dash at the girl. He wanted to just drag the girl out of the arena, similar to what he was going to do with Todoroki at the sports festival, but just like that time, things wouldn't be that easy. As he dashed forward, he was surprised when the girl was able to react in time, sidestepping his charge and avoiding his grab. He had to quickly retract his hand as the girl was about to slam the scythe down over the top of his wrist.
He was a bit mired in the action. He doesn't like the fact that she would wield such a weapon in a friendly competition, but the girl remarked that they weren't just playing here and he should treat it as a serious bout with his life on the line or else she couldn't guarantee his complete safety, and now he could see what the girl meant. As he retracted his hand, he rose with a hard snap kick directly to the girl's midsection, but she was able to block the strike with enough strength to send her skidding back a couple of feet, her scythe biting into the ground the entire way, continually slowing her until she could finally stop herself at the edge of the designated zone.
She kicked her scythe back into her hands and charged at him. Iida dodged backward as the scythe came down on him. The girl came at him again, twirling her scythe with multiple vertical cuts. Iida continued to sidestep the attacks before he finally found a flaw and was about to launch an engine boost punch against the women, but it seemed too easy, so he held off on to his punch, and as it seemed, it was bait as the girl switched up her flow and attempted a horizontal cut, but as Iida saw through it, he was able to effectively bend under the attack while at the same time delivering a kick of his own as her guard was down.
The blow made the girl hunch over and the downward slash of her weapons just barely nicked his helmet as a result, for someone that was going to reserve at least some of him, she didn't seem like she was unless she had such precise time of her strength that she was going to stab him in the eye, he quickly followed up on his kick this time with an engine boost punch the girl was too slow to be able to protect herself and the punch landed solidly against the girl's face he for a moment consider dropping his attack lower to the girl's chest but given what she was about to do he recorrected and let her have it, the girl rolled with the punch to reduce the damage and spent away from him while doing so she attempted to bring the scythe back up and slice him that way but Iida was able to narrowly able to avoid the strike it did create a small slash along his chest armor for how close it was.
The girl rubbed along her cheek and jaw before spitting out some blood on the ground before she smiled and complimented his punch, Iida continued forwards speeding forward but fell backward as the girl swung her scythe to intercept him, he continued to charge at the girl this time for different angles but she was able to ward him off with her weapon for the most part, he was surprised when during another charge she threw her scythe at him, he thought quickly and jumped above it but he was again surprised when the scythe was attached to a cord which started to come back towards the girl and him as he was falling to the ground, he thought quickly and put more power into all his engines and with that he was able to gain additional airtime allowing him to dodge the retreating weapon as it skidded off the flat of his foot. He had wished that he would have been able to land on it directly, but he would rather not be potentially bisected. Instead, Iida proceeded more carefully than previously; he didn't want to think more non-conventionally than he did before, so he dug one of his feet into the ground, activated his thrusters, and kicked in his new turbo rubble attack.
His leg was brought up from the inside of the ground, and all of the rubble and rocks were sent towards the girl. Taking notes from the hero glasses and his rock-throwing, he needed something to deal with range opponents. It wasn't a complete technique given that not only did it destroy property, but it also lacked dedicated range and accuracy. This was essentially a buckshot while he was looking for a pistol or slingshot-like attack. He didn't have much in terms of accuracy like glasses did when it came to throwing things.
The barrage of rocks and rubble assaulted the girl, who countered the attack by holding her scythe out in front of her and spinning it very quickly, but that was fine for Iida as it kept her busy and her attention focused as he dashed forward off to the woman's side and struck out with a rocket kick. The girl yelled in pain as the kick cleanly connected, and she was sent flying off to the side. Despite the solid connection, she was able to slam her scythe down and swing with the force of the blow she just received to circle the weapon and come back at him.
The attack seemed fairly desperate; in Iida's opinion, he doubted she could hurt him with her regular strength, not to mention as slow as she was. Iida sidestepped the attack, but of course, that wasn't all there was to it. As her scythe trailed behind her before reaching her hand, she attempted to slam it down once more time on top of him, but again, he dodged out of the way, this time inside of the girl's range, as he hit her with a shoulder tackle that pushed her back. The girl again tried to retract her staff, this time at head level, ensuring that Iida ducked.
As he did so, the girl raised a knee and his head went down and struck him dead center in the chin. However, the pain was manageable as he grabbed it and used his other leg to sweep the still-planted leg from under her, leaving the girl in mid-air and off balance. Iida threw both of his arms back and shot them forward at the girl while she was in mid-air.
V-twin straight, both his arms came towards the girl, striking her in the stomach and chest and sending her flying out of bounds as her weapons skidded off behind her. It was his win. Iida went to check on if the girl was okay, and despite struggling to stand up for a moment, the girl seemed mostly okay. She clapped him on the shoulder and complimented his strength, even as the others of her folk booed her performance, but she paid them mostly no mind as she went to sit down and wish them luck in the upcoming battles.
Round 2: Hammerhead vs. Mountain Ape
The next two to stand up were two large mountains of men, each standing at a height of 7 feet, and each was well built enough to show their physical strength as the two approached each other. Supposedly, Hammerhead had a B-class bounty before he was arrested, so the mountain being near the top of B-class was a front-runner in this competition. The match started with both combatants locking into a test of strength, with each opponent trying to grapple and outmaneuver the other. Both of them stood in the center, pushing and testing each other, but neither party could get an advantage over the other. Eventually, the test of strength and power struggles turned into a wild hammer of blows and punches.
Each punch seemed to vibrate and impact the air. It became apparent as the battle dragged on that neither party knew anything about defense and decided to mostly rely on offense and their strong builds to weather attacks in such a direct frontal assault of nearly equal parties. Those who were heavier usually held the advantage; they didn't know between the two who were heavier, but from the spectacle of the performance, it didn't seem to matter. Mountain Ape's arm length, however, was larger than that of his opponents, so he had reached on his side if he took the chance to use it, but maybe his opponent knew this and was hard-pressed to keep the man within his reach.
Mountain Ape did the unexpected, hopped back from the head-to-head competition, and smashed the ground. He picked up a large boulder while Hammerhead came at him. He was successfully able to throw the rock at the man, but the man lived up to his name and used his large bald head to smash the rock to pieces as he continued to charge through, but his momentary loss of line of sight proved to be to his detriment as Mountain Ape was able to get off several blows to the man's chin and face before delivering several body blows that cleanly landed before the man could recover.
Hammerhead was bleeding from the lip from the attack but otherwise remained ready to go again. He even commented that Mountain Ape was a coward for using such dirty tactics, but the hero rebuffed the criminal, only stating that he wouldn't lose this battle since he was representing Miss Fubuki, which made the criminal gag on how he could work for such women and that she looked just like a "dime a dozen whore you could find on the street and that if he were a real man, he would be in charge, not her. Despite Miss Fubuki's power flaring at the rude comments, there was fairly no need for her to act as Mountain Ape got angry in her stead.
He activated one of his trump cards. Fubuki had been working on teaching them how to use esper powers, or their closest approximation of such, given that esper abilities were genetic and this was chi. The body's aura, in effect, gave off a similar type of power, but only an ESP can help a person train and use it as they wish, or forcibly rip it out of them. His chi ability, which he named Wild Switch, gave him increased strength but decreased cognitive ability, and depending on how much power he wanted to gain, the lower his cognitive ability went.
For disrespecting Fubuki like that, he did the maximum that he could go which was three times his normal strength, and charged at the man, Hammerhead was taken off guard and completely taken off his feet from the stomach punch, before Mountain Ape did a double fist into the man's head slamming him into the ground surprisingly mountain ape seemed to recoil a bit as even at his increased strength the man head was so dense that the attack backfired on him instead hammerhead had dropped to a knee and attempted to use the opportunity to strike the hero hard in the gut but he was surprised when the man was like a steel wall making him hurt his hand as well, Mountain Ape then proceeded to pick the man up and slam him up and down multiple times before hammering into him with massive fist after massive fist cratering the ground each time and make it crack more and more.
It became clear who the winner of the match was, but no one rushed in to help the criminal. After 30 seconds of watching, Fubuki finally decided to call the match herself and thanked Mountain Ape for his splendid performance. However, she wouldn't call the man off until after Hammerhead apologized and swore fealty to her, which, to the teens, was par for the course at this point in the women's eyes. She would constantly bring up people joining her group and swearing at her. Goddess Glasses was much the same way; however, she was most like that to the monsters they were rescuing, even lying to some of the monsters that they had to be her love knights before being able to get into the cages to leave.
The fight was over, and Hammerhead apologized for what he said, but the girl, not feeling satisfied with just that, even instructed the man to kiss her feet, which he very reluctantly did. She likely wanted even more as everyone could see her feeding off the power she had over the man, but Goddess Glasses didn't let her feed on it for long as she told her to get on with it and move on so they could wrap the other matches up quickly. After moving on, Momo decided to go and smooth over the arena with some cement of her own as the rated heroes decided on who would go next.
Round 3: Heavy tank loincloth vs. Akiaindo
The next up was heavy tank loin cloth he scoffed at the criminal's attempts at fighting and dashed them for being a waste of space and a miracle that they all managed to survive this long fighting the monsters on the surface he scanned over the teen group of individuals none of them seem physically imposing or would be a challenge to him at all but not to mention most of them weren't even in the same class at him so he felt like he would just be bullying children if he fought them, he locked eyes on fairly tall muscular women of some kind it was one of those "vigilantes" as they called them which he guest was just a nicer version of what the hero association would call them as weirdos but it didn't matter to him what they decided to call themselves he would show him how strong an official hero is not something that can be compared to amateurs just running around for kicks and giggles. So he called on the challenger, Aki. Despite her size being somewhat comparable to his, she was not as physically muscular as he was, and the ridiculous costume she was in seemed ridiculous, although the extra pair of arms seemed fairly realistic, machinery wouldn't help her against him.
Heavy tank loincloth was outraged when the girl remarked that they told her to go "easy" on him, he told them that he needs no such thing but the girl remarked that on she probably needed to or he could die which only served to anger him more now he was going to let the women get the first move as a courtesy but such disrespect had to be paid back in kind they were taking him to lightly as his body move rearing back a strong punch but the attack seemed to be easily blocked with one of the girls hands the entire crowd was shocked by the display loincloth included but he ruled it of as him holding back to much as he tried again this time going full force , the girl may not have been to bad after all as he unleashed his strongest punch tank cannon punch the blow came in fast and hard just like the last time he used it against the hunter he had redoubled his training and regrew his confidence in himself now he felt that he may be able to even fight the hunter he felt like but that remained to be seen, he had accepted to come to the monster assocaiiton base due to the potential of running into him here but as his strongest was again blocked by the women in front almost efforesetly the confidence he built had started to crack once again.
He didn't know what to do after that, so he kept lying to the woman. Surely she was just putting on a front and she was trying harder than she let on, or were the arms located higher on her body than the machines and they were doing all the work? He opted for that strategy and lost a tank cannon salvo. This was a quick 10-punch combo that would spread over the entirety of his opponent's body, but he could only stare as each one was blocked so casually by the women, and he was in shock as each punch of the combo was blocked by the large girl, each with a separate hand of hers. Still, despite that, he continued with his assault, not wanting to believe some unknown girl was this stronger than him.
He fired off a tank cannon onslaught. This was a barrage of punches, but despite the speed and power of each one feeding off the other, none of them affected the woman as she casually blocked again. The final attack of the move was a heavy ax kick, the unpredictable nature of the final being a kick. throwing his opponents off, allowing them to be easily picked for the move. The same was true for this girl, but as the attack came down directly on target for her head, a resounding shockwave flared out from the blow, but the girl seemed to not feel anything from the attack, and if anything, pain exploded from his heel, forcing him to retreat his leg back in pain.
The pain quickly faded into the back of his mind when the woman announced that she was going to attack back. Part of him wanted to scream out for mercy, and he surrendered, but... something caught his tongue. He thought about what the hero hunter said about him lacking conviction and making his attacks weak. Was that the reason she was so strong—because she truly believed in what she was fighting for? Did that go for the rest of them as well?
He partially wondered if he could gain that level of conviction himself; he didn't know, but he knew where he could start; he would take her attack head-on; he was the one to challenge her after all. it would only be fair to do so, so he said nothing but braced himself as the girl wound back her arm. He shielded his face with both his arms to protect his head. He didn't know what she did, but he knew he felt pain rupture through them, and his body became weightless as he flew and crashed into the decrepit building next to the courtyard.
Aki had decided to backhand the hero instead of punching him, fearing that it would be too much for him to bear. She was surprised when he was still sent flying, though she thought she held back more, but she guessed she was mistaken. She was still getting used to her new body, so it was hard to tell what was enough strength to perform certain activities. Aki went to help the hero out of the building; he seemed to be unconscious, and she profusely apologized to the rest of the hero's group for going too far; they forgave her good enough, which made her happy, although all of them were simply too scared to tell her anything else.
Round 4: Smile Man vs. Mineta
The rated heroes had a big laugh at the big man's defense; many of them, and some of them thought that it served the hero's right to talk to all and mighty. The next person up was another one of the standard heroes, another A-class. This one was the hero who smiled as he stepped up with the large toy in his hands. Originally, he was going to choose Uraraka, but another of the rated heroes, Miss Piggy, wanted to take her on, so he decided to indulge the heroine and choose someone else. His next choice was Mineta.
The teens rooted for Mineta as he took to the stage, and given the environment, he was somewhat at a disadvantage. There was no place where he could put hit-pop-off orbs to bounce off of, so it would just be a long-distance-leveled fight. His opponents always held a pretty hefty advantage in this field of battle given its size which would limit where he would be able to go and this was highlighted when the battle began smile man struck first using his large kendama to attack mineta point bank to a normal opponent the size was large nearly as big as a normal size man but to mineta it seemed twice that and he had to move twice as far just to avoid the large blow, he thought creatively however as he used he stuck a two of his pop off orbs into his boots and bounced up that way his jump boots acted like a trampoline for him to get up and over the large attack and at the same time he did so he rain down a barrage of pop off orbs at the target smile man started to dodge around the flurry of blows as he continued to use his kendama expertly swing the ball upwards at the small boy.
Mineta didn't have much of a way to dodge the blow, so he was struck hard all over his body and knocked to the side and out of the arena. Touching anywhere outside the arena meant he would lose so he wouldn't be able to touch the building to bounce back instead he took off of two more orbs of his using his awakening ability pop open and slam the two orbs together creating a large Ice slide which he used to slide down and back in bounds of the arena, as he slid down he unleashed another flurry of orbs this time instead of attacking smile man took his weapons a returned it closer to him allowing him to use it as a shield, the pop off orbs splattered or stuck to the large circular ball until the barraged lightened enough for the man to get another attack in, lashing out with the oversized ball one more time striking the ice creation that the boy was on, making him stumble and fall.
Smile Man was about to capitalize on the boy's fall, but when he went to swing the giant ball again, he found it stuck in the ground. Mineta taunted the hero for falling for his trap before he threw another pop-open orb at the hero. This one seemed off track and wasn't going to hit the hero, but upon closer inspection, it seemed the teen wasn't aiming to, as beneath the hero's feet was water. Smile Man quickly put two and two together and attempted to jump up and away from the puddle of water pooling at his feet, but it was a smidge too late. As the orb touched the water and popped open into electricity, it flowed along the water, and the flow was still able to reach him as he leaped away. His leg shot up with pain for a brief moment from the shock, but he was able to muscle through it well enough to stay standing.
He landed down on top of his orb and had to twist his body out of the way as the boy continued to launch pop-off orbs at him with his grape catapult this gave them an increased speed in comparison to normally throwing them by hand but he traded rate of fire for the actions but when it came clear that the man wasn't going to be hit that easily, he opted to just continue to chuck balls at the man free hand he managed to strike the man on on the chest, thigh and even one on the side of his head but he made sure to keep his feet free from being stuck to the ground as he finally jumped up and away from the barrage and surprisingly ripping his kendama from the ground and slamming the ball down directly on top of mineta, the boy reacted quickly enough slamming multiple pop open orb down beneath himself.
They rose in the form of a protective dome of gelatine that was able to deflect the attack as it headed his way, and he breathed a sigh of relief as it did as the gelatin collapsed down pretty heavily and touched the top of his head, but by that point, it had lost all momentum before bouncing backward. Now the problem was that Mineta had to find the opportune moment to leave his barrier without getting whacked. The hero was being careful not to let his ball touch the ground again to get stuck again.
The two of them were at an impasse for a moment until the hero seemed to get an idea faster than he did and used his quirk against him, using the side of his ball that still had the pop-off orbs against it to directly hit his gelatin dome and pull it along with Mineta towards him before swinging it around and slamming it down out of bounds. Mineta had to think fast and escape the gelatin to avoid a ring out, and as he did so, he slammed three pop-open orbs down on the ground to create a large smoke screen.
The hero quickly swung his kendama back around in his Round-the-World Beatdown move completely clearing the smoke and even managing a lucky shot against mineta during the scuffle but despite that mineta was still happy as he managed to stick the man's feet to the ground, he launched off another couple of pop off orbs which again was blocked by the large ball but mineta seek to press his advantage against his trapped adversary as he jumped up above hopping to rain down even more shots on the target but he was shocked to find that the man wasn't on the ground instead he was directly in front of him in the air his boots still left on the ground.
Mineta couldn't do much to counter what was happening as he was kicked in the face by the hero in question sending him rocketing downwards and out of bounds but thankfully he didn't have a hard landing thanks to Sero using his tape to stop him from it using his tape although he still felt bad for losing but the class commended his efforts and comforted in the fact that smile man was pretty high up in the A-class nearly halfway to S so the fact that he put up as good as a fight as he did was good enough on his own. The other side-rated heroes seemed to begrudgingly clap for the A-class hero, which was a stark contrast to the regular heroes, who happily clapped for a win on their side.
Round 5: Uraraka vs Miss Piggy
After the clean-up and a spare pair of boots, the next round was about to start and the challenger was already set and ready as Miss Piggy of the rated heroes, There was no doubt why the women held a grudge against Uraraka as she was the one who put her In jail in the first place however despite the competition and what happened in the previous rounds this round the two wouldn't be using their primary weapons due to the dangers involved and all of the heroes present not willing to trust the rated heroes in such regards, miss piggy main weapons were two large butchers knives which contained blood on it indicating the monsters that she already has killed, after some minor arguing it was agreed upon that both of them would forget their weapons and would instead fight barehanded the class were fairly worried for the girl and most of them would step in if the match was taken to far but they allowed it to continue nonetheless as both women took their places.
The match began, and the rated hero launched off first. The massive woman towered over the girl in both height and width in a pure contest of strength. The rated hero was easily her superior, as she avoided the lunging strike, sidestepped the punch that came at her, and launched out with a punch to the woman's unguarded chin. Uraraka was partially surprised by the lack of reaction she got from the attack, and this allowed the woman to sweep her extended arm out and strike at Uraraka, clotheslining her in the chest and sending her skidding backward, almost tempted to fall over, but she regained her balance again, and just in time, the large women continued to attack her, coming down at her with another crushing punch.
this time ducking under it and assailing the women with some punches, but the effect again seemed small. But for Uraraka, it was fine; each punch still held its purpose. She was suddenly kicked in the face with a mule kick from the woman, which caught her by surprise since she didn't think such kicks were in the large woman's wheelhouse. She reeled backward from the hit, but the follow-up attack was too slow to strike her thanks to her prior punches, increasing the gravity on the woman.
She attempted to weasel her way out of the corner the women trapped her in. She laid on a couple more punches but received one of her own, and this struck her across the face, nearly knocking her helmet off at the same time, reducing the damage to be manageable but still stunning her enough for the large woman to get her in a grapple.
Pain shot through her as the large woman started to squeeze down, slowly crushing her bit by bit in a bear hug. Uraraka didn't want to just throw in the towel, and Mizuki had taught her a couple of tricks that she could use to get out of these holds, but first, she started to hammer away as best as she could in her position. She didn't care if her punches hurt, just wanting to increase the gravity on the women as much as possible. When she finally felt it was enough, she touched a flat palm along her body while a tucked fist was on her own.
Gravity flip This ability completely flipped the effects of the gravity that was on her targets to the opposite of what was on them. Now that she was the heavy one, and from the feel of it, she would say around 30x heavier, she combined this with lowering her center of gravity and the woman's sudden weightlessness to attempt to break the hold, but the woman wouldn't let go, but she was definitely off guard, so to complete her breakout, she ended with a large headbut. The attack landed, and the woman finally dropped her as she fell backward.
Uraraka quickly released her gravity on herself and charged forwards and kicked the large women as hard as she could sending her scampering up into the air, the match technically could have been called right than and their but Uraraka inner fighting spirit was blazing as she lightened herself and jumper up after the women using her shoes to space walk and quickly catching the women delivering a sharp kick followed by another then a punch that spun the floating women back around to fall towards the ground, Uraraka still wasn't done however as she started to repeatedly tap herself with both of her knuckles and then follow up with using her gravitic attraction, the large rated hero who had slammed into the ground raised back up into the air as Uraraka increased in speed and gravity, the women still attempted to fight back as she launched a punch at Uraraka but the girl deflected it as she put her forearm to the rated heroes throat and together slammed down into the ground, causing a slight shock wave and dust and debris to rise up from the ground as the smoke cleared Uraraka emerged with a fist held high, and her opponent was unconscious.
The girls all started screaming for her victory, and the guys cheered her on as well. Some were even shocked by the display and were curious about where she even learned such a maneuver. She called it her Gravity Fall, a combo attack that forces the opponent into the air before she knocks them back down. She hadn't used it in a fight until just then, but she had been theorizing such a maneuver ever since she saw Bakugou's Explode-A-Pult in action. Everyone praised her for her advancement, as they were ready for the next match.
Round 6: Charanko vs. Porcupine Man
The next matchup was technically one of their own. The class especially made notice of the individuals who were secretly monsters and asked them what they had planned on doing during the conflict. Some in the class even suggested that they just surrender the matches, but none of them would do so as it would draw too much attention to themselves, and some of them, wouldn't mind having their criminal records expunged. the brother trio also explained that if they all tried their best they were confident that they could just win without any handicaps but more than that they stated that the competition could be used to help them gain the monster's trust if they see you all fighting against the heroes to protect them then they could see they your offer of escape is genuine.
It was for that reason they would "play" along with the tournament matches for the time being and Momo created a small discrete drone to monitor the matches which would then be shown to the monsters inside of the cages speaking of which, Fubuki confirmed with one of her guys that a third cage was prepared and ready to go and after a moment they cleared it for lift-off. There were two cages left at that moment. They didn't know what they would do if more monsters came out after all the cages were gone, but hopefully, it wouldn't come to the same token they wished it did, as if it didn't, it would mean the rest of the monsters were dead or straight hostile to them, but if there were more than allowed in the five cages, then they would then be going against the association's orders.
They would worry about that later. As they continued with the matches, the score was 5-1 in their favor. They technically only needed 11 more wins to consider the argument settled, but that will ultimately remain to be seen. The porcupine man whose real name is Billy was going to challenge either Ojiro or Charanko it was going to be a toss-up between the two given they were the ones to arrest him, but he didn't hold it against them and had forgiven what he was about to do but he still he wanted to test his new strength out against them while Ojiro was stronger charanko was the more chatty between the two and anytime the two of them crossed path the older boy would always bring up how "he" beat him not even bothering to give Ojiro the credit unless he was there to correct him on how it was a group effort and now he had the perfect excuse to challenge the young adult to a fight without him finding a convenient excuse to chicken out of the conflict not that he would will all these people watching.
Charanko and Billy both took the stage and out of a sense of honor, both opponents bowed to each other before they began their match. The first one to strike out was Billy, rushing towards the teen. A slight shiver went down his spine at the sight of the all-black and spiky monster approaching him. He didn't seem too much, unlike a normal person, but Charanko knew that he was a monster, so his fear was getting to his head, Billy could see this himself, and thanks to Ojiro, he knew how to get the boy's head on straight again. Before his strike out with his punch, he insulted how he could be someone who learned under bang, and he quickly changed his attitude as his body stopped the micro shivers and his face turned hard.
The punch came and was deflected by Charanko, as the young man did a straight punch directly to the monster's chest while painful Billy persisted through it and grabbed the offending hand, twisting it and pulling the boy in for a knee strike. The boy heaved at the blow and used the opportunity to hook around the knee and push upwards attempting and succeeding to slip the man over head over heel he was going to spring out with a right hook kick but he had to quickly retract the appendage as out of the man's shoulder blades multiple bone spikes launched out of the monster's shoulders and instead of kicking the man in the head charanko had to focus on using his leg to kick down the spies headed his way when the volley ended he had to dodge out of the way as the monster landed and dashed forwards at him this time a bone spike extruding from his hand that he used to horizontally slash across the boys body.
Charanko leaned back to only get nicked by the monster along his belt, charanko was even angered by that as his leg snapped out and hit the monster with an ax kick first hitting the monster on his way up before slamming his leg back down but billy did the unexpected and ducked down as the leg came down as he slid and swept charano's other leg from under him, he reacted quickly enough and slammed his other foot down to stabalize himself he launched out with a punch downwards at the prone enemy before spotting something and again stopping and instead jumping back just as multiple spikes were sent in a radius around himself the barrage was angle upwards so not to hit the crowd.
Charanko charged forth as the monsters seemed to be recovering from such an attack, weaving in and out of the wave of bone spikes out of the man's wrist before launching out with a piercing palm. The attack landed on the man's upper right shoulder the blow forced him back for a moment but it wouldn't just be that easy as Billy shrouded his hand in bony protrusions and slammed it into Charanko's gut at the very same moment, charanko took longer to recover from the blow as he billy came at him with a headbutt that left the older teen head spinning before he was swept off his feet again, he quickly twisted his body to deliver a kick to the monsters neck but the attack was caught as bone reinforced that area causing that attack to hurt him more than billy himself, the monster used the instant to his advantage to pick the boy leg up and slam him down on the ground and before he could rehabilitate himself a bone spike was to his throat signaling his loss. Billy helped the young man up, and the two of them shook hands. Charanko was a bit bummed out from the experience, but having goddess glasses to console him somewhat made up for it.
Round 7: KG Scramble vs. Sato
The net round of battle was also a grudge match, but this time it was on the teen's side. When KG Scramble stepped up, it was Sato who asked if he would be the one to challenge him. The man was surprised by the teen's bravery, or he was just a masochist and wanted the same treatment he got the last time the two of them faced off, but Sato believed that he's gotten better since the last time the two of them fought and he would be able to beat him. The felon simply rescinded what they would see as the match commenced. The two participants both slowly approached each other, Kg Scramble had his guard up in an out boxer stance waiting for sato to make the first move and he did, the first thing he did was a creme bulow which was a hard calf kick, the move was unexpected and completely caught his opponent off guard as he for a moment staggered from the assault it was then that sato set out to attack with an elbow strike but the man was able to avoid the blow showing great footwork to rebalance himself as he swayed his body to evade the elbow strike and return with a hard punch to Sato's gut, both combatants seemed to be surprised with the others attack but that quickly turned into a smirk as they commenced to battle.
Sato had been sparing with Koda somewhat so he knew that the key to boxing no matter the stance or form was foot work and from his training he also knew that boxers being so set in ways never really fought with anything but their hands and so they never expected such strikes in they first place and kg scramble was no different while he was perfectly confident in blocking his punches and elbow strikes he had a tough time to blocking his legs and knees but the one thing he was sure to check for was his calf strikes those were deadly he new that so it made sense for the boxer to watch for it but he didn't expect him to know how to check for such attacks which made it even more difficult for him but he was holding up well enough but by the time of him taking a hard uppercut before that neary lifted him off his feet, he found that he was at least at his limit at least for his normal state as he revealed to the kg scramble that the entire time they were fighting he wasn't using his quirk.
As he popped a pellet, he instantly felt the power of his quirk rush through him. Despite the initial scare, the boxer still wanted to take him, which he respected him for, or he was just too proud to lose face for surrendering, but he would like to think it wasn't that. the two engaged again this time as expected the fight was mostly in Sato's favor while the man still had more experience than him and using this avoided getting completely thrashed around, he could only reliably defend against Sato's attacks, and return none of his own before, the fight concluded when sato feinted a jab instead opting for a throw ending the match with his special donut roll move completely throwing his competitor out of bounds marking his victory, despite the twos past the man didn't argue or complain he praised himself for the fact of making him better seeing as how the teen took his words to heart from their first encounter and sato couldn't deny that as the two shared a fist bump and left to their sides of the arena.
Round 8:Pink Hornet vs. Lily
The next round was between two B-class heroins pink Hornet and Lily, the two of them approached the field of battle and pin hornet remarked how she seemed to remark how she wa bit on the younger side as far as heroes go but if she made to B-class then she must be good or she was just relying on the Fubuki group to get her to where she was, Fubuki of course scoffed at this and remarked that she of all people should know that I don't take interest in people if they weren't in B-class in the first place, the women responded that she knows she was just trying to get under her skin given that she kept annoying her about joining her little fan club and she then went to go and say that she even threatened her boyfriend with her little goon squads and she was shocked that she even managed to be a hero with that type of attitude just because people don't suck up to her and everyone looked over to Fubuki to see if that was true and herself the girls silence was louder than anything she could say in response.
Pink Hornet went on to tell Lily that she shouldn't take advice from a person such as her, but despite that, Lily rebuffed, stating that she still has faith in Fubuki and that despite some of the things she does being extreme, she still cares for each one of them very much. Pink Hornet just let out a huff and murmured that she guessed the girl was too far gone after all.
The two combatants stepped up, each with their signature weapon in hand. Lily of the three-sided staff wiled as her namesake pulled out three pieces of collapsible staff and connected them before pointing them out towards the women. The other hero, for her part, wielded two twin clubs. As the match started, both heroines would attempt to play to their strengths. Lily, who was better at staying in mid-rage and poking, wants to close the distance where her skills weren't as potent.
Lily continued to stay at mid-range as she poked and prodded at her opponents with several jabs and large swings to keep the women back, even when the women would block with her two clubs. She tried to trap the weapon and continued to close the distance. Lilly would compensate by attempting to move the same amount of distance backward, but the folly of this eventually came to pass when the girl was pushed to the edge of the arena by the hero's relentless assault. Despite not being able to close the proper distance to strike out with her weapon, the woman was still able to apply enough pressure for the girl to retreat, and now that there was no longer space to back up, Lily was forced to close in and switch sides not to get a ring out, but this, of course, relied on her transition away from the aggressive hero.
Lily waited until the women lashed out with an overhead attack to attempt the switch, but this didn't go without punishment as the heroine was able to score a direct hit to her stomach. She quickly tried to recover, but the two club weapons showed their secondary advantage over her staff, which was the sure speed of the attacks. Moments of flinching from one blow led to a combo of several others along her body. Lily managed to find a rhythm to her attack and eventually was able to disengage from it, delivering a hard blow to the girl's open stomach with her staff giving her some room to back up, but it was only for a moment before the women came back at her.
Lily thought quickly shifting her staff back into the three-sided state allowed her greater ability in close-range combat, and since her defeat against Uraraka, she wanted to sure up on it, and now it would be put to the test against this woman. As the woman engaged her swing, she separated sections of her staff. She was able to better defend herself by deflecting her attacks, as she was able to wrap around her opponents, allowing her to strike out against them if she times her lashes correctly. However, the same also applied to herself, given that her opponent's weapons were two-handed, which allowed her to strike out even when her other weapons were held at bay. In fact, from the onlooker's perspective, it seemed that was what Pink Hornet was aiming for; it was going to be a battle of endurance to see who faltered first.
This was inevitably going to be Lily and while this was as the girl fell back and the women stood above her asking for her to yield as her weapon dropped out of her hands behind the heroine Lily refused to give up just yet and as the heroine was about to strike again directly to her head but she was suddenly tripped up as something wrapped around her legs which the offending object was Lily spear wrapped around her legs and tripped her causing her to fall backward and Lily sprung up at that very moment catching her staff and quickly connecting it and striking out at the women in the gut that was falling backward, pink hornet crashed hard into the ground and found a staff directly at her throat as lily stood above her victoriously, the women cried fowl and that Fubuki had to have helped her with that last stunt but lily rebuffed her stating that she did not during that fight at least but the chi ability that she was able to learn from the women was magnetism.
By using the chi, she could increase the magnetic field that her body naturally generates and attract things towards herself. She commented as he threw the staff away from her, holding out a hand, and everyone watched as it came back to her. The girl remarked that it was fair enough and that it was her loss. Lily allowed the women to stand, and they shared a handshake. Pink heroine spoke out that she may have been mistaken about her initial impression of Fubuki, that or the woman had changed since their first encounter at Fubuki and wasn't one to miss the opportunity to attempt to poach for new members for her group, but Pink hornet merely rolled her eyes and remarked that she would think about it if Lily managed to surpass her in the rankings.
Lily was directly pulled into a hug by the woman as she told her how proud she was of her victory and her plan to get higher in the association. Mountain Ape felt left looking at the scene given that he also won his contest but didn't get that level of appreciation, he wasn't going to say it out of respect, but Goddess Glasses was one to do so, even though his denial of said fact made Fubuki agree with the monster women that she may have been a bit unfair as she patted the large man on the head for his hard work, making the large man swoon with joy. The rated heroes watched with utter revulsion on their faces at the spectacle but remained silent.
Uraraka was curious about this new ability and wondered why she didn't pull it out during their one-on-one fight. It could have been useful, but Lily explained that it was because of that fight that she came up with the ability now. Fubuki "taught" them chi abilities by manipulating their chi into something they could use, but it required time and energy to be extracted to be usable by them. She was inspired by Uraraka's quirk and wanted to see if there was anything she could do to mimic it; it would also give her some resemblance to ESP powers if she trained it hard enough, at least when it came to levitating objects.
The score was now 6-2.
Round 9: Serial Bomber vs. Piko
The next one up was a serial bomber. The man remarked on how everyone on their side was going about this the wrong way, chasing personal vendettas or taking on challenges that were likely too big for themselves; they simply needed to win 16 times to call the match, and the contest settled. For that reason he chose one that looked the weakest among them which was Piko the B-class hero of the Fubuki group was extremely small just about peaking over mineta at a whopping 4 ft tall, on top of that he was a fairly scrawny person in comparison to the average person let alone hero and Fubuki herself remarked that his specialty wasn't in direct combat interactions instead he fought using a controller, as she lifted something from behind them and slammed it down forwards.
This was a somewhat large machine of some kind, it didn't have the signature jacket that signaled the Fubuki group but instead had its spray color on the machine itself, it wasn't humanoid-like at all and was more akin to a giant square with multiple tentacle attachments on which ranged from grabbers, cutters and even a small flamethrower, the machine wasn't too large being only 5 feet 8 in size and in terms of practicality, it was still a working prototype to take advantage of Piko's gaming talents to better his performance in the field. Fubuki had asked if Neith could spare a few of her machines instead and that she would hope they could discuss some reasonable prices or trades they could make, but the girl explained that since none of the machines that she created were hers, she felt uncomfortable handing them out to others, so the discussions, unfortunately, fell through.
The fight commenced, and despite the machines and Piko's valiant efforts, they just weren't mobile enough to catch the fast and agile former A-class hero, and his signature bombs made quick work of the machine, turning it into a scrap heap of burning metal as the final explosion went off. The rated heroes cheered for his victory, while Piko profusely apologized for his failure. Although Fubuki didn't hold it too much against him and mostly felt it was just the limits of their research and development side, she had hopped up with the non-killing army, which had a metal knight as an aid and would offer insight, but the man completely blew her off anytime she even tried to speak to him.
Round 9: Toxin vs. Ojiro
Once they cleared the wreckage of the flaming machine, the next fighter went up. He scanned through the class and decided on Ojiro. He didn't remember the teens well enough, but going off the previous match-up with the vigilante and porcupine and seeing as how they have a similar karate gi to the boy, he assumed they were similar in strength and his power was only that of a tail, so he didn't have to worry about any extra weird abilities like the rest of them in a manner of speaking; he was calling him ordinary, which Ojiro rolled his eyes at, but he accepted the challenge head-on.
The fight took a moment to begin as did the nature of the way Toxin fought much like his son's poison relied on a very potent homemade poison which for the fight they were about to commit to was fairly inexcusable to use although the man argued that it does put him at a significant handicap as his style of fighting completely revolve around getting a single cut in on his opponent to kill them and Ojiro wanting to be considerate thought of a way they could solve the problem by instead of using his venom, the man would use Tsu's mucus instead it in essence had the same effect except he would just be paralyzed instead of killed but the result of the match would be the same his lost, toxin appreciated the gesture and allowed it.
The two of them approached the center of the arena, preparing for the battle. Ojiro, for his part, knew that the man was an A-rated hero, which meant that he had an A-class bounty, so he wasn't going to hold back as he went into his great sage state almost immediately. This grew a noticeable reaction from the crowd as the teen grew slightly bigger and bulked, and Toxin simply shook his head and digressed that he guessed he had chosen wrong and guessed that he was more than he meets the eye. Ojiro just chuckled at that but didn't want to take it to mean the match would be easy, as he was thinking that his body reacted nearly on instinct as the man dashed forward with his bladed hand extended out ready to stab into his chest.
Ojiro's arm was faster however as he deflected the blow away and returned with a palm strike into the man's chest making him stagger backward, Ojiro kept a close eye on the bladed weapon as it swung back at him too as he fell back he leaned out of the way the strike before, he shifted his gaze back towards the man himself just to realized that another blade was headed straight for his head, he quickly raised knee upwards kneeing the offending hand away which launched the knife up and into the air, before attempting to extend his leg in push kick to the man's chest but the man was fast and evaded the blow and attempted to slash at Ojiro's outstretched leg.
Ojiro threw one of his hands out and grabbed the man's wrist, stopping the slice before it reached his leg before launching out with a punch that the man caught. Each of them held the other's wrist and struggled for control of the other. Ojiro held the strength advantage but was extra careful to keep the knife in the man's hands and ensure that it didn't touch him. They were curved knives that were razor-sharp, so it didn't take much force at all to pierce the skin. Toxin started to launch a couple of knee strikes to Ojiro's core as it became clear that he was losing the test of strength being forced backward, but Ojiro used his knee to counter each one before even weaseling through to deliver one of his own directly to the man's body.
He didn't think the knee strike did that much damage as the man let one of his hands go, but a glint in the sky above tipped him off to what was happening as the knife that he kicked into the air came back down and the man used his newly freed hand to grab it and stab down at him. Ojiro, who was about to punch the man, quickly retracted it immediately to deflect the timing, which was perfect enough to allow him a perfect counter. This was the main attribute of the water stream rock-smashing fist: the ability to deflect an attack, double it, and add it to the force of your attack, creating a devastating hit. This is why it was labeled an anti-human martial art.
The attack landed squarely, and Toxin was rocked back on his haunches. Ojiro allowed the man to fall backward as a devastating counterattack. He slid backward and was almost tempted to fall over backward, but he recovered quickly enough to finally get his balance back before looking directly at the teen as a bit of blood leaked out of his mouth and his cheek was swollen. Toxin was a fair bit surprised by that stunt but still seemed ready to fight as he prepared himself. Ojiro was the one on the offensive this time again, keeping close contact with both of the man's knives as he continued to parry and deflect the strikes. Ojiro was getting better and better at reading his opponent as the fight dragged on until the very epitome of the conflict, Toxin did a dual-sided slash with both of his knives and Ojiro pierced through both of them with his piercing fang.
The maneuver was so fast that some in the audience didn't even catch it but it was revealed that Ojiro had both of the man's knives in his hand as well as the man having a cut along his cheek but surprisingly enough not from the knives but the boys fingertips instead, however there was one catch to it all when it seemed like the boy had won when toxin pointed to his upper shoulder blade and the blade mark their going into his costume but just when it seemed like he lost and Ojiro became paralyzed he had just been playing around and remarked as he took off part of his gi he had only managed to graze the hair along that portion of his shoulder that grew from the transformation not the rest of his body with that information and the man touching a hand to his bleeding cheek, he simply sighed and threw in the towel right than and surrendered he knew when he was beat and eating energy on a pointless battle wasn't his style, Ojiro nodded and handed him his weapons back before both shook hands and went to their perspective groups.
Round 10: Bull-Bull vs. Knuckle Shuffle
Round 11: Fubuki vs. Blue Fire
The next up was bull-bull. This man was massive in size and was fairly attenuating, even standing a full foot taller than everyone present, even nearly Aki herself. This criminal was a fair sight to behold; he wore a hoodie with a cow pattern and his name on it and a helmet with goggles and bull horns. He scanned the teens and their group. He said nothing, but eventually, he found his breath as he pointed to one of the Fubuki group members. This one had gold blonde hair as well as two large, golden brass knuckles. Out of everyone present, it was the Fubuki group that showed the most fear against his size, so he imagined them as the weakest members of their roster.
Knuckle Shuffle, despite his initial worry, walked into the arena against his opponent. The size difference became fairly present as the mere 5'10 man walked up to the goliath 8'2 criminal. The match soon began, and the criminal allowed the man to make the first move. He did so, launching off with a hard punch to the man's gut, but only the smallest grunts escaped the man's lips as he looked down and cracked his knuckles. Knuckle Shuffle was notably shaken by the results and immediately remarked that he gave up at that very moment, but the criminal didn't seem to mind much at all as he continued down with a heavy punch against his target but found himself trapped just before the punch landed. Before he was thrown out of the arena by Fubuki, Knuckle Shuffle got down on his knees and thanked Fubuki severely for saving him.
Fubuki was fairly mad at the criminal for going against the rules and attempting to harm, but more likely murdering one of her boys. She took it upon herself to take the stage, and she would be the one taking on the next challenger to smooth out some of her aggression from not only that but also the teasing from goddess glasses that she had to endure all day. Now that she was on the field, none of the other players had chosen to step up, especially after the bull-bull, who had recovered from his throw across the arena, attempted to attack her only to get slammed into the ground.
In the end, the one-two step up to the plate was none other than the strongest regular hero present, Blue Fire, who took the stage. Before the fight could properly begin, the hero wanted assurances that she wouldn't be running off to tell her sister about him hurting her, especially given that she wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. A lot of the class shook their heads, and some even facepalmed from the remarked goddess glasses. She simply shook her head and called out that he should probably just surrender. Well, she probably won't let him off easy, even if he did.
With an almost demon-like smile, Fubuki remarked that she promised not to tell her sister anything and even made the pot sweeter and remarked that if he did manage to beat her then she would forget all the rest of the matches and they would all pack up their bags right than and maybe the arrogant hero was too concerned about rankings so he didn't consider her a threat to himself or maybe the proposal was one that he couldn't refuse given their losing score so far in the battles but he completely ignored the warning signs and the physic power that was circling the esper at that moment, that he accepted the deal.
The happy clap that formed from Fubuki's hands produced a small shockwave as she dared the hero to attack her first, and she even remarked that she would allow him to keep his flamethrower arm and actively encouraged him to attack her with it. The flame hero obliged and, at first, started with a relatively low setting for his flame thrower arm. When Fubuki brushed off the attack while walking forward, he decided to increase the output but tried as he might, nothing seemed to phase the girl when he hesitated before going to the max setting. Once again, Fubuki taunted him for being weak and said that someone like him shouldn't be in the A-class, let alone in the top 10 of it.
Blue flame grit his teeth and wanted to wipe the smile off the girls face so he launched off with a full power attack and in conjunctions with that he made several hands signs with his other hand and created another equally large burst of flames "appear" from out of nowhere, the rampant flames approached Fubuki and some of the heroes on their side thought that the A-class had went to far but when a sudden storm of wind eclipsed the girl shielding her from the large flames she the storm completely eclipsed the flames before suddenly the tornado flipped on its head and was sent towards the hero hellstorm the flames quickly died away from the clash of powers a the wind engulfed it and the hero producing it sending him skirting backwards as the other group had to make a mad dash to avoid getting caught up in the technique itself as it progressed it trailed off up into the air and the man fell down from the sky and not leaving anything to chance, Tokoyami bestowed shining light on to the man and she gently lowed him to the ground so that he didn't fall and break something …well break anything anymore than Fubuki had already.
The girl turned on her heel with a huff and reminded the other A-class heroes that she liked Sweet Mask, merely staying at the top of the B-class to stay at the feet of people that she didn't believe deserved to be in the A-class at all. The teens were highly suspect of that claim, and Goddess Glasses let out a small chuckle at it, but the glare from the angered girl made the monster fake put her hands up in surrender.
Round 12: Eyelashes vs. Snek
The next battle was between Eyelashes and Snek. The fighter had internally chosen Eyelashes after seeing the power of Fubuki firsthand, as he knew for sure that she was better than him, and seeing Silver Kong in action, he was tempted to say that he was stronger than him, so he was curious how strong the ranked two B-class was in comparison to himself. He had been in the lower-set dregs of the A-class, and people treated him as such. He needed this fight to confirm to himself whether he was just a good B-class hero or if he was truly fit for the A-class proper.
He was embarrassed when not only did the exploding boy make it to A-class, but he was also embarrassed when the others of the non-killing army made it past him as well, but maybe he was thinking too much about official rankings and didn't know about others's true strengths, which could be higher than what would apply. He wanted to confirm that with this fight, the second highest in B versus the lowest in A, was there any difference between them?
The match began and Eyelashes made the first move dashing forward and delivering a kick to the man's head, Snek hands quickly whirled around the attack striking at his opponent's core making Eyelashes stagger backward but the man composed himself just in time to avoid the follow up snake strike directed towards his body, twisting his body away from the attack and countering with a knee straight to the man's gut, snek quickly recovered from the strike faster than Eyelashes anticipated and as a result the A-class hero was able to take land two strikes along his chest and abdomen making Eyelashes grunt in pain but he didn't falter as he struck back with a punch but this allowed the snek to wrap his arm up with his hand and entrap it before lashing out with his other hand striking along his upper body and arm with pinpoint strikes before twisting and tossing him clear.
Eyelashes weren't going to let that combo go unchallenged; however, when it came time for the A-class hero to throw him, it was supposed to be out of bounds. However, a sharp kick to the side of the man's head caused him to falter and cause the man to lose form and power. He recovered just at the edge of the out-of-bounds and sought to press the advantage again, the currently recovering hero, but as he came forward to lash out with another kick to the man's stomach, he was too slow again as his opponent recovered enough to block the kick, but he retracted too fast before he could get wrapped up again.
The two of them started to strike back and forth between the hero strikes, blocks, and counters. Snek had the advantage primarily due to his talent in martial arts, which allowed him to be better on the defensive end and turn those defenses into a strong counter-attack. In a way, the snek style resembled the water stream, but they differed in what they did. The snek style relied purely on weaving around or trapping the opponent and his attacks while landing a strike of your own in that same instance, while the water stream would deflect and parry the opponent. Snek landed a great deal more hits than his adversary; however, eyelash hits were harder when he used his eyelash curlers and released them into their retinal hammer state.
This transformed his curlers into full-on gauntlets that coated his hand. The fight ultimately came to a head when it seemed like Eyelashes were going to lose as the final thrusting strike reached his gut and he was on the verge of falling over, but instead, the man removed the coating over his hand and touched along the A-class face. The result was surprising, as the hero suddenly exclaimed that he couldn't move. Eyelashes, through a bloody mouth, laughed and remarked that, given how close they were, he didn't want to have to use the ability he just did. It was his chi ability that caused paralysis. By using the chi the human body normally generates, he can disrupt that same flow within a person if he can touch them with his bare hands. As long as he touches their skin, it diminishes the further away from the neck he is, so he has to let the hero get that last shot in so that he can touch him there. Now that he had, he moved around the hero and simply picked him up while maintaining one hand along the hero's head the entire time before he simply placed the hero down on the outside of the arena, signaling his loss.
The Fubuki group all cheered for Eyelash's victory, including Fubuki herself, which the man was immediately grateful for, but Fubuki was even more grateful. She saw this as an opportunity to broadcast herself and the Fubuki group to possible recruits, so each victory they had sold her status even more if she hadn't already from her previous stunt. She didn't know how many of the rated heroes would go over to become heroes in the future or just go on to be criminals or mercenaries, but she would be open for any of them to come to work for her if they so liked. Lady Death seemed too interested in going off her reactions so far, and Pink Hornet made her an ultimatum that she would be sure to keep in the back of her mind.
The score was now 8-4
Round 13: Flame Dragoon vs. Todoroki
The next matchup was between Flame Dragoon and Todoroki, the secret fire monster wanting to challenge his master just to see how much stronger he got from eating the other monsters. When he initially called for Frozen Phoenix to take the stage, he had some initial pushback from Frost Raven, stating that he wanted to fight Frozen Phoenix. Of course, this was to be expected, and to resolve the issue, the two brothers opted to settle the manner in a rock, paper, scissors match, and flame dragoon, ultimately winning in the best two out of three. The two participants took the stage, and other than nearly slipping up and referring to Frozen Phoenix as master, the match went off without a hitch.
Flame Dragoon launched off with a large fireball, and Todoroki blocked it with a few ice spikes, creating a burst of steam to encompass the area the two were fighting in. This allowed the monster full transgression as he swapped into his full monster form and sprang forth with a large amount of fire surrounding his body, hoping to land a blow against his master. However, the attack was completely brushed aside as Todoroki stomped on the floor and unleashed a massive amount of ice that completely froze him over. He didn't completely immerse the man in ice so that he could turn back into his more human form before the steam faded away, revealing his loss.
Round 14: Frost Raven vs. Aoyama
Frost Raven was next; he was partially disappointed that he didn't get to take on his teacher. However, seeing as how his brother was effortlessly defeated, he sort of didn't mind it anymore, and if anything, it only made him realize truly the gulf between them and their master. Seeing the score was not in their favor, he started to scan over the class and see who would be a good match for him, as well as some that could get him at least moving. The only person he skipped over was Koda for the sake of his other brother. So as he scanned over the teens and people and another monster he chose to fight against, he didn't want the match to be too easy for him or too hard, but other than his master and the two monsters, he didn't know who to pick from, so after some yell from his side, he got on with it. He just randomly picked a guy on their side, and it happened to be a solar flare.
Ayoama, while mildly surprised, took to the stage, and the two greeted each other before the fighting could begin. The blonde teens asked if he could charge up his suit first, and the frost raven allowed. Once that was complete, the two individuals started the match. Frost Raven at first went easy on his opponent, firing off some small ice blasts. The boy countered with two blasts from his navel laser, destroying the ice constructs before they could even reach him. He fired a large beam from his optic laser from his eyes, before which the monster countered by summing a thick shield of ice from his hands. Frost raved, ripping through his shield, and the ice melted into his hands, performing talon-like claws on each individual of his fingertips. Ayoama reacted quickly, countering with his navel sabers, blocking the incoming claw attack, but the force of it made him skid backward. Ayoama thought quickly and used his suit to boost him upward. He was hoping that he would have been able to trick his opponent into diving off the stage, but that didn't seem to be the case, as he managed to stop himself in time with a long rod of ice.
Ayoama shot off another laser from his eyes, but the monster avoided this attack this time by flying up towards him using his ice powers to propel himself forward, similar to how Todoroki did. The two this time fought in the air, but this time without the need to watch for the group behind them. Ayoama fully let loose with a wellspring of his powers, shooting off lasers more and more carelessly in hopes of striking his target. Frost Raven was mostly half-trying; he didn't need to try too hard, even In just his human state to beat the blonde and mostly just wanted to put on a show for the spectators below, the two clashed as Ayoama used his optic laser combination with his supernova special ability as frost raven responded in kind with shooting off a frost beam. The attack clashed, creating a cloud of steam in the middle. Try as he might, Ayoama was getting beaten back, but before he was fully consumed by the blast of frost, he was able to narrowly avoid it by moving.
It partially touched his leg and started to spread quickly along his body. He quickly activated the sparkling armor function of the suit, and his body started to light up blue and subdue the frost that was spreading over him. However, doing so, he took his eyes off of his opponent, and by the time he noticed him again, he was being roughly pushed down by clawed fingertips striking into the curve of his chest armor. His sparkling armor tried its best to mitigate the frost coming from the monster's body, but it was overwhelmed, and as they touched the ground, he found himself completely frozen in place inside of an ice block up to his head, signaling his loss.
Round 15: Forest General vs. Forest Lord
This match was an interesting one on both sides of the spectrum if this fight was going to be on a completely neutral playing ground then forest lord would win almost instantly and Koda wanted it to be as he believed taking in the power from the monster present felt a little bit like cheating but telepathically talking to forest general, he thought that given that he had just received a massive power up from him that the teen would be allowed to use his power to the fullest well at least to an extent and he wagered that if Aki gave him even a quarter of her power than it would be a pointless bout so instead he limited the power that he could give him to a quarter, so they opted to test to see how much power would it take for the fight to be mostly even by doing an arm wrestling match once the two was sure to be of rather equal strength. The fighting could commence as both of them backed away from each other and got into a fighting pose.
The style of fighting Koda chose to imitate this time around was the counterpuncher. His favorite style of outboxing and straight-up slugging wouldn't work against the forest general, as the monster had far greater reach than he did, especially when he used his extended clawed fingertips. His only hope was to get in close and try to deliver multiple punches that way, or the outboxing style of waiting for an opening that he gives him for him to land a couple of attacks. As the match began, Koda was the one with the immediate advantage, and the teen thought that it may have been harder but realized that unlike himself, the monster relied mostly on his ability to control lesser people, monsters, or animals when fighting but preferred to mostly leave the direct fighting to his brothers, so in this head-to-head with equal stats, he had the advantage as he evaded the man's claws with quick footwork before launching off his back foot to deliver a strong punch across the monster's face.
The forest general would also fall out for a lot of his "slip-ups'' which he would use to take advantage of his overeagerness to score even one solid hit against him. The fight ended in a flat knockout, even though the man lay on the ground for more than 10 seconds, declaring Koda the winner. Koda ensured to check up on him and see if he was okay, but he assured his teacher that he was okay as they all returned to their sides.
Round 16: Momo vs. Superd
The next round was a rated hero; going by superd, he didn't have many notable features other than his light green hair and large tattoos of a tiger and lion on each of his arms. The man was 6 feet tall and wielded a bone-white spear, with different colored ribbons tracing down the entirety of it. He didn't say much during their entire time together. The teens were curious about who he would choose, but the choice of Momo wasn't too surprising to everyone; she did have the most compatible style, and he may have known that. Given that he worked with a spear, Momo had to go and make him a staff so the two of them could battle without having any serious repercussions.
The two of them squared off against each other. Unlike the previous matches, this one had a slow start. Each opponent circled the arena. Neither made a move against the other for several moments as they circled, but the circle continued to collapse upon each revolution around until the tension finally broke, and it was Momo who struck out first, a high hit from the top of her staff, which was casually blocked by the man. This was answered with a side swipe of the man, which was blocked by Momo.
The two continued to trade blows, blocking high, low, and side attacks. After an exchange of six blows, it was on the seventh that the first blow was struck, as Momo was hit hard in the gut, causing her to reel backward. She was barely able to raise her staff high to block the overhead strike and turn that into a sideswipe of her own, but the man was able to repeal his staff to block her counter.
The two continued as they danced around the room. Momo could get about one hit in for her opponent; she was out-skilled in the matchup, but she wasn't going to give up. They did one more dance where her opponent attempted to sweep her feet. She jumped over the strike before blocking another that came from the other direction while she was in mid-air, but this caused her to nearly be wrung out. The only thing that saved her was being able to balance off her staff and avoid touching the ground.
She jumped off her staff directly at the opposite hero this seemed to be a risky gamble as the hero dashed forwards to meet her thrusting his spear upwards to strike the girl along her chin however the attack never reached as the staff Momo was holding suddenly started to spin rapidly in her hands, she raised slightly into the air narrowly avoiding the blow to her chin and in the next instant she swings down using the force of that spin straight to that man's shoulder blade the effect was nearly instant as the man began to fall but Momo wasn't done as she continued to use that force to strike the man directly in his solar plexus with her next strike finishing the spin.
the forces of threatened to send the man falling back but he unexpectedly recovered quickly which was a surprise to Momo as he swept the girl's feet from under her and held his staff to the girl's face he breathed out a heavy breath from the exertion or pain. The next thing he did, however, shocked everyone when he said that he surrendered and helped the girl up. Everyone questioned why he did such a thing, and he explained that the girl didn't go out against him and that if she had, then he probably wouldn't win. Momo countered, stating that she tried her best, and he agreed that she tried her best with only the staff, but he knew that wasn't all she was capable of, especially with her power.
He also explained how he chose her to see what stinger taught her, revealing that he was a friend of stinger during his training days, he was always mad at him for being too flamboyant with their teachers practices and adding in so many unnecessary movements, he wanted to see if she was going to be the same way but she surprised him by being fairly basic until that last stunt which he didn't expect from their fight that far and praised her for her proficiency so far in the staff but would likely be better suited for monster fighting if she used a spear or at least guandao, Momo chuckled and said that stinger told her the same thing once and said that while she agreed that stingers style was somewhat wasteful she believed that's why he was so good, he made the style his own which she couldn't blame him for, it was also what she hoping to do one day as well, the rated hero thought about that as he returned to his side although Momo didn't want to give up the win that rightfully belong to him but he was adamant that she could probably beat him if she used her full arsenal of abilities, so in the end the fight was just claimed to be a draw.
Round 17: Goddess Glasses vs. A
The next matchup was between a rated hero simply named "A." He looked like a fairly normal person, but his weapon was fairly strange; it seemed to be almost like a staff pickaxe hybrid, a long pole with two-bladed ends on one side of it. He challenged Goddess Glasses, and the eager monster was easily willing to fight. She even remarked that it was ok to try his best to kill her if he could, which some of the teens twitched at, but they knew how strong the woman was, so they weren't too concerned about it. The match started, and before the man could do anything, he was struck by Goddess Glare's love beam. She kindly asked her new love knight to walk out of the arena, and he agreed but asked if he could receive a hug before he did so.
Goddess glasses, of course, would indulge in holding out her arms for him to come hug her, the man approached with seemingly no ill intent present on his face and fully hugged the woman, however the as he went to separate his arm attempted to come in hard and fast directly to the girl's neck but the attack was stopped cold, the monster didn't even bother using her hand instead using her neck to catch the blade, making the man looked scared, glasses looked at the man and smile wickedly at him,
her glasses polarizing for a moment to show her red Scalia and her mouth opened to show her sharp wicked teeth, but she closed her mouth quickly after as to not give herself away she remarked that to resist her love beam while being that weak this man must be a very very bad boy and for that she would have to punish him as she crushed the mans' wrist causing him to drop his weapon and scream in pain this was quickly followed by her dislocating one of his shoulder, before she shot at him again with her love beam and this time it took full effect fear did wanders in dampening one resistance she thought in glee as this time when she ordered for the man to leave the arena he did so and despite that one serious moment the girl seemed to have flipped back to a more jolly state as the others rush to aid the rated heroes aid.
The score is now 14-3.
Round 18: Machine gun brawler vs. tank top tentacle
Round 19: Wild Horn vs. Stereo Queen
Round 20: Justice Maker vs. Tsukuyomi
The class was reaching match point, and the next challenger up was Shoji versus a machine gun brawler. This was technically another grudge match waiting to happen, and even though Shoji wasn't sure if he could fight the monster on even ground given his new upgrade, he thought that he didn't have to as the match began, and he immediately used his Buddha ability to create massive arms underneath the monsters and threw him out of the arena before he could get enough jabs off to destroy them. The machine gun brawler was extremely bitter about the occasion, but he guessed he would accept the loss, at least for the moment, just because Shoji remarked that they could go head-to-head at another time.
The class was now at match point, and the next up was going to be another traditional hero, this time around Wild Horn. Wanting to have an easy victory, he chose what looked to be the weakest among the heroes he knew of, Stereo Queen. He remembered at least some of the non-killing army's powers and her vibrations of some kind. He figured that with his armor, he would be able to weather the storm completely and just force her out of the arena with his physical strength and superiority. The two took the stage, and he wasted no time dashing towards the girl in a mad dash to grab her even before she got the chance to use her power; however, this seemed to only fail as she had taken to the air using her boots to fly.
The girl was barely paying him and the match attention; she kept a constant look on her watch like she didn't care about the fight or she found him to be utterly beneath him to not bother to pay attention to, which only made him angrier as he started yelling at the girl to face him. The next thing he knew was that he started to hear the girl singing, and his mind suddenly went fuzzy, and by the time the fuzziness cleared, he was out of bounds. What? He accused foul play but was informed that his power evolved from just simple vibrations some time ago, making the hero bite back his tongue in regret.
The fighting was supposed to be over however one of the rated heroes still wanted to go and get rid of the monsters and their sympathizers, Justicemaker was heroic to a fault his idea of heroism was killing anything that did wrong no matter how small which was to say he was a complete psychopath regardless of his reasonings, when the man aimed his gun at the teens and their group Tokoyami stepped up to the field and remarked that he would take him on the man remarked that he only play for keeps as he aimed his weapon at that teens ways, Tokoyami merely rolled his eyes at the display before telling the rated hero to shoot him and the hero obliged easily firing off a barrage of rounds at the teen but none of them connected all of them seemed to be stopped in mid-air as Tokoyami proceeded forwards, the man continued to shoot at him on full auto as Tokoyami pressed forwards before he finally reached his target and shining light covered over him and Tokoyami delivered a hard punch that sent the criminal flying backwards implanting himself into the building behind them, he then proceed to break the mans weapons before walking back towards his class.
The fighting was over, the class won, and they could all leave. They talked to the magic trick man and discussed with him what he should say to Sekingar about what happened before they all made their way back to their designated places. They found it was a decent way to let off some steam; however, Jiro was still worried about Kaminari and, to a lesser extent, Bakugo and Kirishima as well. Mina understood the girl's worries, but she believed that the three of them together could take down almost anyone, and she should trust him a little bit. He may be a little silly like her, but they could get serious when they need to.
