The Resistance gathered at the war table. MagnaKidmon and Gundramon were with them. "Tell us what happened." Shiki said.

MagnaKidmon sighed. "We were just camping out for the night. After eating up, Gundramon took the first night watch. Just when I was finally about to nod off, he woke us up sayin' he heard a noise. So, we got up weapons ready and next thing we know we're surrounded by Next Order chumps."

"We tried to fend em off." Gundramon said. "But there were too many of em."

"BelleStarmon then told us to hightail it outta there. We tried to argue but… she can be tough to negotiate with. Before we knew it, she ended up leadin' most of em away. We tried to catch up to em, only to see her hogtied to a Reptiledramon as they flew off with her."

"They captured BelleStarmon too then…" Nokia said.

"Too"?"

Takuto sighed. "When the Next Order attacked Takumi and Yuuko got grabbed. We just found out the real Darcmon is still being held prisoner as well…"

"That ain't good."

"No. It isn't." Mameo said. "And we have no idea where to find them."

"Well about that…" Gundramon said. "I don't know if it's the same place your friends were taken too, but we do know where they took BelleStarmon."

Everyone looked at the duo of the Three Musketeers. "Really?" Himari asked.

"Yeah. See us three Musketeers put transmitters on ourselves that only we can pick up. Just in case we got separated, ya know?" MaganKidmon explained. "So, we picked up BelleStarmon's and…" He pulled up a map and pointed to a blinking purple dot. "There. Ya see that? Gundramon and I followed her there and found a massive enemy stronghold. We looked everywhere and found no gaps to slip into. That's why we need your help."

Fei stared at the location. "Extinguish Keep. I knew it."

Koh looked at her. "Extinguish Keep?"

"While I was brainwashed into the Next Order, they mentioned some kinda major prisoner camp. Said it's where they plan to keep their greatest enemies."

"I heard about that too." Terriemron Assistant said. "They said it their most secure prison."

"I know we turned you guys down when you offered us to work with you." Gundramon said. "And I know we insisted we're a solo act…" He hung his head. "But please! We can't do this alone! And BelleStarmon is like family to us! Please… help us save her!"

"Guys, don't worry!" Nokia smiled. "We won't turn a blind eye when Digimon are in need!"

"Besides, it's all too likely Takumi and Yuuko were taken there." Keisuke said. "Maybe Darcmon too."

"I bet any of our allies who got captured during the fight just now were taken there too." Koh said. And there probably other captured Digimon who would be willing to join our cause."

"Then it sounds like we know our next move." Mameo said. "We need to infiltrate this fortress and rescue our friends."

"Then let's do this already!" Nokia declared.

"Hold it Nokia." Himari grabbed the girl by the back of her pink coat on her way out the door. "Do you have any strategy in mind on how you're going to get in?"

"Um… how about the-

"Don't say "Whatever feels right at the moment strategy"." Ami glared.

"What? That always works out, doesn't it?"

"You mean like the time we failed to restrain Examon in Odaiba?" Samudramon asked.

"Or when Gallantmon became Eater food?" Kuzuhamon added.

"One: the Gallantmon in question and the Eater that did that to him are both right here fine and well. Two: both examples are from the same one time!" Nokia pouted.

"That *really* doesn't help your case, you know that right?" Fei asked.

"Nokia, use your head." Sayo said. "This is a maximum-security prison. If charging in blindly would be enough to get through there would have been a jailbreak long ago."

"I agree Nokia." Yuugo said. "I want to save Yuuko and Takumi just as bad as you do, but it won't happen unless we execute a careful plan."

Nokia sighed. "Fiiiine. Let's be quick though! Who knows what those jerks are doing to our friends!"

"Point taken." Kouta said. "Let's crack down to it."

Arata nodded. "Fei, Terriermon Assistant, Agumon Expert, Doctor Datamon, Silphymon, we need every detail you can give us about that keep!"

"I'll see what I can pull up as well." Mirei said, taking out her laptop.

Brother Sorrow had a monitor in front of him. His three Digimon, Crusadermon and the Bokamon watched him. He finished making his inputs before he closed it. "The transfer is complete."

One of the four Bokamon had a monitor in front of him. When he received the transfer, they all jumped for joy. "Hooray!" He then took another look. "…Wait a second… I think it sent us more by mistake."

"On the contrary. The bounty for Yuuko was one million Bits."

"So then-

"Takumi Aiba, who you brough to us with her was not part of the bounty. So, I thought a bonus was only fair."

"Really?! Thank you so much!"

"No thanks needed. You kids have earned it."

"Indeed." Crusadermon nodded. "You really did go through great lengths for this prize."

"Well… we really needed the money." one of the Bokamon shyly replied.

"What for?" BlitzGreymon asked.

"Well…" The four Bokamon looked at each other. "The thing is… we've always had a dream."

"A dream you say?" Creepymon asked.

Brother Sorrow's gaze was focused on them. "…Tell me more."

"Um… well… the Digital World is huge right? And it's full of so many things. Some of which other Digimon need but can't get."

"Very true." Crusadermon nodded. "Not everybody has access to the tech we use for transport or the speed and stamina to run, swim or fly across the world."

"So, we were thinking… the four of us want to start of a shipping company!"

"A shipping company?" CresGarurumon asked. "As in… a delivery service?"

"Yeah!" one of the Bakomon nodded. "Just think! Digimon can send anything anywhere or get whatever they want!"

Brother Sorrow looked at Crusadermon. "Is there nothing like that in this world?"

"Well, there are a few small delivery services that operate in remote areas but nothing that will deliver anything anywhere. Certainly nothing on the scale of what I saw during my time in the human world…"

"Wait, they do things like this in the human world?" a Bakomon asked. "Then maybe we can really pull this off!"

"That depends." Brother Sorrow replied. He slowly approached the four and kneeled to their level. "Do you four truly believe you have what it takes to lead?"

"Huh? Lead?"

"Indeed. A shipping facility that delivers all over the Digital World will need a number of employees to operate on the scale you aim for. For now, I would recommend starting with a small delivery service that operates in a remote area. But once you begin to expand you will need other Digimon to help with delivery. As well as other services you will require."

"I… didn't think about that." One the Bakomon mused. They all had uneasy expressions.

"When that happens, we need to think carefully about who to hire." another said.

Brother Sorrow nodded. "Correct. And not just regarding their abilities. When I was a kid, my grandfather told me something. A soldier's top priority is his orders. If he cannot follow those orders, he will lose what he swore to protect."

"My, my." Crusadermon said. "That is deep. But I wonder if those words have more to them then their face value."

"Maybe they do, maybe they don't. He never did say anything further regarding the matter. But there was a time… where I went against my orders… and it cost me dearly. At first, I thought it was my punishment for doing so… but the one who gave me those orders… was an egotistical coward who abandoned their people to suffer. They expected them to fight to their end while they were the first to run for their life. They themselves… went against their own orders."

"That's horrible…" One of the Bakomon's eyes saddened.

"Listen to me you four. A leader is someone who can not only give orders but be willing to do whatever they expect their crewmates to do. If you are incapable of taking the risks you want your people to take, then you are not fit to lead. Do you think you four can take on such a responsibility?"

The four Bakomon went quiet for a bit. "…This is all really complicated but… I'm not about to back down."

"Me neither. This has always been our dream. We can't abandon it no matter how tough it gets."

"I see." Brother Sorrow nodded. "Then I implore you to make your dreams come true. They are the hope of your future. However, do not let your aspirations or pride bring harm to the ones you trust. They are not your pawns. They are your responsibility."

"I understand." one of the Bakomon said. "We'll think long and hard on this. But someday… we'll make the worldwide postal service for the Digital World happen! Er, after the war's over of course."

"Once this world is a peace, I'm sure there will be plenty of use for what you strive to create." CresGarurumon said.

"You are certainly damn capable delivery men." BlitzGreymon said. "You delivered us what we ordered across a battlefield after all." Brother Sorrow, Crusadermon, CresGarurumon and Creepymon chuckled.

"Thanks for the advice. And for the Bits. We can use the money to fund the start of our project." One of the Bakomon scratched the back of his head. "Still… I can't help but feel bad for what we did to those two… I mean I get they're the enemy but… They didn't seem like bad people."

Creepymon scoffed. "Trust me squirt, those two are not to be pitied."

"Agreed." Brother Sorrow said standing up. "First impressions can be deceiving. The girl committed crimes that cannot be forgiven. She has done plenty to deserve this fate. That is why I put that large bounty on her head."

"I can't say Takumi is entirely innocent either." Crusadermon said. "Do not feel bad. If anything, you four should be proud that you doled out justice to those fiends."

"Um… okay…" The Bakomon shivered a bit. "Well… I guess we should go now. We need to get back to work."

"Thanks again for everything mister." The Bakomon waved.

The anger in Brother Sorrow's eyes melted away as they showed a certain joy. "No, my friends. Thank you."

Crusadermon watched the four Bakomon run off. "Heh. What innocent youth. For small ones they have large dreams."

"Let's hope they came make them come true… without straying from the right path." Brother Sorrow said. "Now then, I believe it's time I paid Yuuko a visit. It's time I told her who I am… assuming what I whispered to her wasn't enough for her to figure it out."

"What about Takumi?" Creepymon said. "I have a bone to pick with him."

"That is none of my concern. The Cyber Sleuths were just two more innocents who were dragged into that fool's stupidity. I have no desire to do Takumi any harm."

"Well, it's of my concern!" Creepymon snarled. "I will make him suffer for humiliating me! The Deadly Digimon of Wrath!"

"Do as you please." Brother Sorrow said. "But do not execute him unless we are given the order."

"Brother Sorrow." The Tamer and his Digimon turned to Crusadermon as she spoke. She glanced aside uncomfortably.

"Crusadermon?" The man turned around. "What's wrong?"

Crusadermon kneeled so she was closer to his level. He took that as a signal to walk over to her. "Listen… there's something you need to know. I… we were ordered by the king not to tell you of this. He was concerned about how you would react. But… you suffered so much because of the Eaters. Probably even more than we have. It's too cruel to hide this from you."

"What is it?"

"As you know… humans are responsible for the existence of Eaters."

"Yes… you said EDEN Avatar data is what created them."

"Well… there's more to the story then that." Crusadermon hesitated. "It wasn't all of mankind that created the apocalypse. But rather six humans who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Eight years ago, in the previous reality there was an EDEN Demo event. In it…"

Dark clouds hung over a cliffside where the Resistance Army looked at a massive structure of black metal. "Wow…" Keisuke muttered. "Spooky."

"We know for a fact that this is where Takumi, Yuuko and Darcmon are, right?" Nokia asked.

"Nobody said that." Arata replied. "All we know is that BelleStarmon was taken here."

"But it is a high probability." Ami said. "I've seen what she can do. They'll want her in a place they'd be confident she couldn't escape from. That goes for Takumi and Yuuko as well since they're humans and Darcmon since she has one of the Sovereign DigiCores."

"Then we've come to the right place." Fei replied. "Solid walls, state of the art security systems and plenty of guards. They call named this place Extinguish Keep because they believe anyone who's put in here would have their hope "extinguished"."

"Well, that's a charming story and all, but I think it's time we got moving." Sayo said.

"This isn't going to be easy." Koh said. "Maybe we should have brought Takuto and his friends."

"Even with the city in the sky and the mole eliminated we can't just assume everyone will be safe." Yuugo replied. "We need them to defend the others in case of an attack."

"As long as we act cautiously, we can do this." Ami said as she put on her goggles. She zoomed in on the fort. It stood on a rising chunk of land surrounded by a seemingly bottomless chasm. The bridge leading to it was guarded by various tough looking Digimon. Multiple searchlights were combing the surrounding area. She looked to the side and saw a small, grated hole where a bunch of liquid was pouring out. "There's the drainage ditch Mirei found. Our flying Digimon should be able to get us over there."

"Thank god she was able to hack into their mainframe to pull up some of the schematics on this place." Arata said.

"Thanks to Fei." Yuugo grinned looking at the girl in question.

"Hey. Jackasses should've changed their passwords and revoked my access after you guys got my head straightened out." Fei smirked.

"Alright, let's do this." Koh said. "Sayo and I will lead the main force and strike the front gate. We'll take out the searchlights near that drainage ditch in the scuffle so the rest of you can break in through there."

"From there we'll split up and search all the cells." Ami said. "Save everyone you can. Everybody got the program Doctor Datamon and the others made?"

"Right here." Arata held up his Digivice. "So, we use this on a Digimon, and it'll send them right back to Cache City."

"Let's get to it!" Nokia shouted. "We-

"SHHH!" Everyone around shushed her.

"They'll hear you screaming up here you dolt!" Fei growled.

"Opps… I mean… We need to rescue our friends."

"Right." Koh turned around. "Is everybody ready?"

Jesmon nodded. Behind him were the Sistermon, Gankoomon, Agunimon and his team, Pidemon, GrapLeomon, Magnamon, Grizzlymon, Dinohumon, Gallantmon, Flamedramon and many, many other Digimon. "We're ready." Jesmon said. "For Takumi, Darcmon, Yuuko, and our many other friends… let's do this!"

Omegamon turned to MagnaKidmon and Gundramon. "You two are with me and Nokia."

"Sounds like a plan partner." MagnaKidmon said.

"Hold on BelleStarmon." Gundramon said. "We're on our way."

Ami looked behind her. "We'll find Takumi you three. Stick with me for now."

Rapidmon Armor nodded. BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon were behind him. "We're with you Ami. We believe in you. Because like you Takumi is family to us."

Samudramon approached Yuugo. "I'm with you then?"

"Right. On that day Yuuko, Takumi and the others came to save me. Now it's my turn to come to the rescue."

"Let's do this." Arata said.

Takumi was having the most uncomfortable stay in the keep. Some sort of device that circled around him was holding him upright and levitating him. A collar was fitted around his neck and from the bottom of it a thin, rubbery milky white substance stretched out and constricted his whole body. He didn't know what it was. It was slightly see-through so he could make out his clothes. The layer was thin, so it outlined his figure perfectly, yet it was incredibly sturdy and tight. Uncomfortably so. His arms were plastered to his sides and his legs were sealed together. He was left alone after being placed in this predicament in this dark empty room.

Takumi grunted thrashing in the restraint as much as he could, but he could barely stretch it at all. And when he did, the moment his strength died down it pressed his arms and legs back to their original position. His Digimon were gone, but he still had his Digivice on his head. But if he couldn't get his hands out of the substance to reach it, he wasn't about to call anyone anytime soon. He was out of options. "Damn it…" He slackened out of exhaustion from his struggling.

The door to the room opened and the three Puppetmon walked in much to Takumi's shagreen. They strode right up to him. "Well look who it is!" The three of them surrounded the human in his retraining device. One of them started poking him in the cheek roughly. "Mister no fun ruining all our games because he can!"

"I think it's time for a little payback!" Another went over to a pad that seemed to be linked to the machine levitating Takumi. H started pressing a few things. "Let's see, what does this do? "Release". Nah. "DigiLatex". Don't know what that is. … Gyro controls"? What's that?" He pressed it and the screen on the terminal became blank with a circle in the middle. "Is this supposed to do something?" He touched the left side of it and an arrow on the screen appeared pointing left. Takumi shuddered as he was turned slightly to the left. "Huh?" He swiped his finger to the left and Takumi was spun around.

"Hey, let me try!" Another Puppetmon shoved his friend over to get at the pad. He swiped it to the left repeatedly and Takumi was spun like a top.

"Stop that!" the helpless teen shouted.

The Puppetmon laughed. The third one shoved in. "My turn!" He started slapping at the pad randomly.

Takumi grunted as he was spun around in all directions in many different angels very fast. His head immediately started spinning. He squeezed his eyes shut not wanting to see how fast the room was going by, but he could still feel it. And by the time the Puppetmon finally stopped the room was still spinning and he couldn't make out the three Puppetmon in front of him while he was position horizontally facing the ceiling so they could look down on him. "What's wrong? Not having fun?"

"Go… away…" the still dizzy Cyber Sleuth groaned.

"Wow, somebody's grumpy! Let's see a smile!" One of them brushed his fingers against Takumi's neck above the collar.

"H-hey, cut that out!" Takumi turned his head away.

One of the Puppetmon caught him grinning. "Oh! He's ticklish!"

"Well in that case!" All three Puppetmon started dancing their fingers on Takumi's helpless body.

The substance was strong enough to hold him, but it wasn't thick, making it so that he could feel those devious fingers skittering all over him. "S-stop it!" Takumi couldn't keep himself from chuckling.

"You three. Out." The Puppetmon shuddered as they heard a voice. They slowly turned around to see Creepymon. "Now."

"Yeek!" The trio yelped.

"Takumi is mine. Back off! I will not have my vengeance taken from me by a handful of brats!"

"W-who are you to boss us around!?" one of the Puppetmon said trying to act tough.

"Yeah! We got a bone to pick with this jerk too!"

"And besides, we were here first! So why don't you just-

Creepymon flew over in an instant and lifted the Puppetmon up by his neck. Choking him. "I am the Deadly Digimon of Wrath. Trash like you holds nothing over me." The Puppetmon in his hand choked as the other two slowly backed away in fear. Creepymon held up his hand and dark fire emitted from it. "Know. Your. Place!"

"P-please…!" the Puppetmon choked staring at the deadly fire.

"Stop! Creepymon!" Takumi shouted.

Just as Creepymon was about to turn the Puppetmon into a bonfire his wrist was shot making him drop the smaller Digimon. "That will do Creepymon." BlitzGreymon said entering the room with CresGaurumon who looked at the Puppetmon then tilted his head towards the door. The three Puppetmon ran out of the room whimpering.

BlitzGreymon glared at Creepymon. "Were you about to kill one of our own?"

"That was just to scare them off." Creepymon scoffed.

"Sure, it was."

Creepymon went to the terminal and reset Takumi's position, so he was upright. "I have been waiting a long time for this Cyber Sleuth."

"Where's Yuuko?" Takumi asked.

"Elsewhere in this fortress. Brother Sorrow is paying her a visit. But you should worry more about yourself. This place, Extinguish Keep, is the strongest prison the Next Order has. Nobody in the Resistance knows about it. No one has ever escaped. Nobody will be coming for you. And that restraint on you, DigiLatex isn't something pitiful human strength can break."

Takumi squinted at him. "Really? Latex? Didn't think you'd be into that."

"Don't get the wrong idea." BlitzGreymon said. "It was the only restraining mechanism for humans we had. We just borrowed it off of the Digimon who created it."

"And who would that be?"

"Lilithmon." Creepymon replied.

Takumi sighed. "Figures. Her I can imagine being into this creepy crap."

Creepymon returned his attention to the terminal. "Lilithmon always did have odd interests, I agree. But this toy of hers is useful. It even has some interesting functions. For example, I can adjust how tight that DigiLatex suit of yours is." Creepymon turned a dial up just slightly. Takumi looked down as he felt the DigiLatex constricting him tighten. "Interesting. Let's see what happens if I apply 120% pressure." He raised the nob. Takumi grunted in discomfort as it got tighter. "130%...140%...150%..."

"Aaah!" Takumi's whole body from under his neck was squeezed tighter and tighter.

"Does it hurt?" Creepymon asked. "On that day you did more than just hurt me. You destroyed me. Crushed my pride. When the world was reset, and I remembered it all I swore I would end you and your sister. But for what you did to me death is not enough!" He increased the intensity more and more. "I will break you! Watch you scream in pain! Beg for mercy! Tear you to pieces as everything you love crumbles away!"

"AAAAAAAAGGH!" Takumi was crushed with an unbearable pressure that made it hard to breathe. He wasn't sure if EDEN avatars had to worry about broken bones or circulation being cut off, but he felt like he was about to experience both. His body felt like it was about to turn into mush or explode.

"Oh? That's twice the amount of pressure." Creepymon learned towards Takumi's face. "Are you ready to cry? Will you beg for death?"

"Screw...you...!" Takumi mumbled.

Creepymon sneered and grabbed Takumi's head. "You will regret your insolence!"

A spear found its way next to his neck. "Enough." CresGarurumon said. "Brother Sorrow's orders are to not do any damage that will make him weak for when the time comes."

Creepymon glared at him. "To hell with his games! I will have my revenge!"

"You want to destroy Takumi? Then we will crush him when he is at his best. Prove to him, to Yuuko and the Resistance that he is powerless before us. Break their spirits as we grind their hope into dust. Destroying him like this... proves nothing."

"Hmph." Creepymon let Takumi go and backoff. CresGarurumon went to the terminal and turned the dial back down.

Takumi breathed as the pressure on his body dropped. But the DigiLatex still held him firmly. "Ah..." BlitzGreymon held his hand up and a light emanated from Takumi's Digivice. "What...?"

"I installed a program to your Digivice. When we are ready it will transport your Digimon to you and they will free you from your restraints. Then you will follow the map provided to an arena. We will confront you there... but first our partner will have questions for you. You will answer us truthfully."

"Even once you are released you will not be free." CresGarurumon said. "You will be monitored at all times. If you attempt to escape this facility or call your friends for help Yuuko Kamishiro's life is forfeit."

Creepymon laughed at the terrified look on Takumi's face. "I do look forward to crushing you detective. I have a new trick up my sleeve just for you." The three Digimon left the room closing the door behind them.

Takumi dwelled there in the dark. "Yuuko..."

As the Digimon walked away from Takumi's cell BlitzGreymon looked at Creepymon. "What's this about a new trick?"

"You'll find out later."

"Hmph. Just so we're clear Deadly Digimon, we don't trust you. You have earned the Next Order's trust. And a degree of Brother Sorrow's. But not ours."

"And why should I care?" Creepymon asked.

They stopped walking as CresGarurumon pointed his spear at Creepymon's neck and BlitzGreymon aimed his artillery at him. "Because if you prove yourself a threat to our partner, we WILL put you down. So do not try to pull anything on us. Or you will suffer the consequences."

Creepymon pushed CresGarurumon's spear away and walked past him and BlitzGreymon. "The feeling's mutual." The duo stared at the Deadly Digimon as he walked away.

Back at Cache City Zero was staring at a monitor full of profiles. He ran a hand through his hair sighing to himself. "Nothing."

"Is something the matter?" Mirei asked as she appeared in hologram form.

"Oh, Mirei. I was just going over a list of Zaxon's previous enemies. All of them."

"Ah yes, Yuuko's request. Rather irresponsible to have one person go through the history of her team."

Zero squinted at her. "Sais the woman who had Takumi, Ami and Keisuke go through that blacklist of dangerous hackers on their own."

"1: that was Alphamon's idea, not mine, 2: I had no doubt they could handle it."

"Sure." Zero rolled his eyes looking back at his monitor. "In all seriousness, I can understand Yuuko's desperation. To be honest after what she reported about Brother Sorrow… I'm starting to think the two of us might be responsible for how hard he's making things for the Resistance right now."

"Any luck narrowing down who it might be?"

"None whatsoever. It's one thing trying to find a hacker with that hacking ability, strategic thinking and power to do the things Brother Sorrow has. But the tricky thing is that he knows Yuuko was "Yuugo.". As far as I'm aware, none of Zaxon's enemies knew our secret. Thankfully otherwise they'd ambush her in the real world."

Mirei adjusted her glasses and pounded to herself. "…All of those hackers had Digimon at the time, yes?"

"Of course. Why?"

"Then perhaps we should look into those Digimon rather than Brother Sorrow himself."

"For all we know Brother Sorrow could have just met those Digimon after coming to this world."

"Creepymon, no doubt." Mirei admitted. "I know for a fact he didn't partner up with anybody back in the previous reality. But Keisuke told me that Brother Sorrow cares deeply for the other two. BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon."

"Is that so?"

"Yes. It's clear they share a strong bond. Not unlike the others and their Digimon. It's all too likely they knew each other from before. In which case perhaps, we can decipher who the human with them was."

Zero put a hand at his chin. "Solid logic… however I myself have not met either of those Digimon in the previous reality. As an A.I. I'm not capable of forgetting. I just never met them."

"It's possible they may have Digivolved between now and then." Mirei suggested. "Why don't we go over the possible Digimon BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon can Digivolve from."

"Not a bad idea. As someone who's studied Digimon for a long time now I imagine it's a simple matter for you."

Mirei smiled. "Naturally." She took out her laptop. After some typing it displayed BlitzGreymon on the left side of the screen and CresGarurumon on the right. From both were white lines going downward connecting them to small images below them. "Here's everything I have on their Digivolution trees. Let's go in order of the most likely possibilities. The most likely Digimon are MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon. Have you encountered anyone with one of those?"

"Aside from Nokia I haven't seen a hacker with Digimon from either of those lines."

"Alright, what about BlackMetalGreymon or BlackWereGarurumon?"

"Can't say I've seen either of those, no. Not aside from Takumi's BlackMetalGreymon anyway."

"Those are the most likely options... if they aren't one of those that makes figuring this out a bit more difficult..."

"Are there any other Ultimate Level forms for Greymon or Garurumon?" Zero asked.

"Not aside from RizeGreymon."

"Well, I did meet one of those." Zero smiled. "But he wasn't an enemy of Zaxon. Anything else?"

Mirei then remembered something. "Well... there are two unique forms of MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon. But both are rare... deviant forms of Digivolutuon."

"Deviant"?"

"Yes. I recently learned that there are versions of these Digimon with unique, unnatural traits. You could almost call it a mutation. And a powerful one at that. Here. I'll show you." Mirei typed into her laptop and the screen changed, showing two different Digimon. "These forms are very rare. Obtained only in a 1537/1 chance. I have yet to see an example of either, so I'd say the odds of encountering them in EDEN are unlikely. Even then their power is said to be unparallel to other Digimon of their level. If they were your enemy at one point, they may have given even you enough trouble to think of them right away." Mire then turned to Zero. "...Is something wrong?"

The A.I.'s jaw practically dropped as he stared at a MetalGreymon whose metal arm was a giant cannon instead of a claw and a WereGarurumon with blue glowing blue claws and wings. "It can't be..."

"Zero?" Mirei looked at him with a serious expression. "Have you seen these before?"

Zero took a step back. "Of course... Yuuko was looking at this the wrong way! Brother Sorrow isn't one of Zaxon's previous enemies!"

"He isn't?"

"No... he was one of us... and now he wants revenge for taking away the one he swore to protect."

Yuuko was in another room high up in Extinguish Keep. Just like Takumi she was in a device that levitated her just off the floor and was restrained in DigiLatex from her feet to the collar around her neck. She gave up on trying to escape after all her struggling did nothing but point out that that the tight layer of material wasn't about to rip even if it was thin and did a painfully good job keeping her arms at her sides with her hands plastered onto her thighs and her legs together. She stared at the floor in defeat. But there was more on her mind then humiliation and shame.

"Pray that one of those Digimon rampaging in Tokyo get to you first. Because it will be a far kinder end then what will await you should we ever meet again"."

Those words Brother Sorrow whispered to her echoed in her mind. She remembered hearing them before. "...I was wrong. He wasn't an enemy of Zaxon. ...At least not until I..." The door to her cell opened. She looked up and saw the very man that was haunting her thoughts standing in front of her. He walked into the room and snapped his fingers. Yuuko yelped and winced as bright lights in the dark room shined down onto her. She looked at him as he stood right in front of her. "...Where's Takumi?" she asked.

"In another cell. I believe Creepymon wanted a word with him. Don't worry, BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon will make sure he doesn't cross a line. We won't destroy him... not until you are able to see it."

"Leave Takumi be." Yuuko glared. "He has nothing to do with what happened that day. You have every right to be angry at me, but nobody else needs to suffer for my mistake!"

Brother Sorrow chuckled. "So, you finally figured it out."

"I have… the more I think about it… it was obvious. No enemy of Zaxon knew me as well as you did. And you were able to disarm that program I used on your Digimon in that lab just as quickly as Fei did. Because you knew it. But most importantly… out of all those who lost something because of me… you were the one who resented me for it the most…Kiryu Tenjo."

Brother Sorrow took off his mask. His pale face and green eyes exposed. He lowered his hood showing his shoulder length brown hair. "So nice to know you haven't forgotten me "boss". It will make this all the sweeter. Thinking about it, this is the first time we've met face-to-face without hiding behind fake identities. Your "Yuugo" mask has fallen. And now…so has Brother Sorrow's."

"Kiyru..." Yuuko frowned.

"How nice it is... to finally repay a debt."

"I know what this is about now." Yuuko said. "This is about Subaru... who suffered because of that tragic accident..."

Brother Sorrow- or rather Kiryu walked up to the device connected to Yuuko's restraints and swiftly turned the nob up. "ACCIDENT?!"

The DigiLatex that was already tight enough to outline every detail on Yuuko's body tightened far more than it did for Takumi when Creepymon was with him. "KYAAAAAAAAA!" Yuuko screamed as her body was violently squeezed all over. The air was instantly crushed out of her.

"Subaru was *victimized*! By you and your ego!" Kiryu yelled before he lowered the nob just slightly so that Yuuko was still being crushed but could still breathe. "You charged him into that hell... abandoned him... put him into that coma... and then you had the audacity, the *nerve* to write off his demise like it was for the good of all!"

"Kiryu..." Yuuko weakly looked at him. "I never... I didn't mean to say it like that... and I never would have left him by choice..."

"You dare attempt to lie to me now?! Yuuko... I made a promise to myself the moment Crusadermon restored my memories of the previous reality. That I would make his tormentor pay dearly for what she did!"

Yuuko lowered her head. "...If you really think killing me will heal your pain... then I won't deny owing you that much... but please... don't drag the others and this world down with me for our personal matter. I'm sorry about Subaru, Kiryu. I really am. But that doesn't justify what you're doing to this world that has nothing to do with what happened!"

"You think that hallow, desperate, last second apology means anything to me now? You think you can judge me for bringing others into this, when you selfishly used and sacrificed countless others just to fulfill your own goals?!" Kiryu turned his back on Yuuko and took a few steps away. "Every fiber of my being is screaming to choke the life out of you right now with my bare hands. But then... you would not truly understand the pain I feel right now because of you. Didn't I tell you that I would only grant you the mercy of death once you understand this suffering? This sorrow? This despair?"

Yuuko looked at Kiryu with fear in her eyes. "...What are you planning to do?"

"Simple. I will make those you care for the most suffer just as Subaru did because of you and make you watch. You will know the helplessness I was struck with as their smiles disappear forever."

"I take it that is why you turned Fei into K and used her against me?" Yuuko asked.

Kiryu chuckled. "Fei? She was just the beginning. But I took great joy in watching Lilithmon, Leviamon and Matadormon torturing and molding her. I turned her against you, someone she loved. Just as you two turned Subaru against me. I savored every second as I watched you fall apart when you learned who she was and watching her break down when the gravity of what she did caught up to her."

"So that wasn't enough for you?" Yuuko asked. "You still want to hurt us more?"

"No." Kiryu glared. "Didn't you hear me? That was just the beginning. It's not enough! You two still don't know my pain! So, before you can be allowed to die, someone even dearer to you must perish. Someone who means more to you than Fei. The target that immediately came to my mind was your precious brother you cared so much for."

Yuuko's sadden expression turned into rage. "Don't you dare!"

Kiryu laughed. "Yeah, you're right. That poor bastard has already suffered enough, hasn't he? Being abandoned to the Eaters in the Digital World, left to suffer alone for eight years, all the while his brat sister started a self-righteous army in his father's dream world EDEN making people suffer while bearing his name and face. Perhaps the real reason for your disguise was so you could pin the blame for your mistakes on him."

"That's not why I-

"However..." Kiryu ignored her protest. "I've been monitoring you and your friends ever since I regained my memories. Do you know why I knew I could use Lilithmon and Leviamon to turn Fei against you? Because I noticed you developed an attachment to someone. Someone closer to you than Fei. Perhaps even as close to you as your brother is. Yes... his sacrifice will bring you the pain I suffered."

Yuuko looked at Kiryu trying to figure out what he meant. Then thoughts of a certain redhead came to mind. "No...!"

"That's right. Takumi Aiba. How convenient we were able to capture him alongside you. Don't worry. Given how much he's shown to care for you I don't think he'll mind throwing his life away for you... or for your selfish "honor"."

Yuuko renewed her struggles despite to escape the DigiLatex now. She could only stretch it slightly before it snapped her body back in place. "Kiryu, don't! Takumi has nothing to do with this! Please! He doesn't deserve to get caught up in our past!"

Kiryu went over to the device again and had it flip Yuuko so she dangled upside down. Her long raven hair touching the floor. "On the contrary. If what Crusadermon just told me is true, he has everything to do with what happened to Subaru. And he will pay dearly for it." He turned around and walked towards the door. "Enjoy the show from your box seat."

Yuuko was still struggling as he left. "No! Wait! Kiryu, hurt me all you want! But don't do anything to Takumi! He's innocent! Kiryu! KIRYU!" The door slammed shut behind the man who made no response to her pleading screams.

And at long last we have the true identity of Brother Sorrow. Kiryu Tenjo. …And I'm sure a lot of you are wondering "who the hell is this guy?". Well before you guys all try googling this name, you won't find him in Cyber Sleuth. Kiryu here is actually an OC I created for this story. Now it's not like he came *completely* out of nowhere mind you. We technically have seen him unmasked before in a *very*early chapter in this story. That'll be elaborated on later.

But what will become of Takumi? What does Kiryu have in store for him? What is his grudge towards Yuuko about? And will the Resistance get to their friends in time? For these answers and more… stay tuned.
