Chapter 01: Bell Finally Arrives In Orario
When Bell Cranel left home to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming an adventurer and hero, he could have never imagined the path he had walked to get there. It had started like many journeys began, in the back of a wagon headed toward his goals.
But it all went sideways very quickly for Bell.
He hadn't thought to ask when they'd arrive in Orario until they had journeyed farther than he believed they needed to. They were two and a half weeks into their journey and Bell was sure they should have arrived by then.
That was the moment Bell realized he had gotten in the wrong wagon.
Instead of heading toward Orario, Bell had gone eighteen days in the opposite direction. He was only twelve and realized he'd need to stick it out until they got to their destination before he could find a caravan traveling back.
The merchant whose caravan it was took a little pity on Bell and had him sit with him. He told Bell all about where they were headed, and Bell learned all the man knew of Asgard. The longer the man talked, the more Bell realized another thing to be true.
You didn't need to be in Orario to get stronger or be a Hero.
For the rest of the trip, the man indulged Bell in story after story of those from Asgard. He learned about their culture, their gods, and their history. Bell knew the man had much more to tell him even after another three weeks of travel, but they finally arrived.
Now that Bell was finally walking down the streets of Orario 6 years later, he couldn't help but think back on that fateful day. His Grandfather had told him all about heroes, girls, and how you need to come to Orario to be or get, any of those.
Oh how wrong his grandfather was.
Bell believed his grandfather simply didn't know of Asgard or the Halls of Valhalla. Bell knew his grandfather was partially correct though. You did need to come to Orario to be a True Hero, but you didn't need to start here to get strong. That was something his grandfather failed to mention.
Training against other people leveled you up just as going to a dungeon did if you possessed a Falna. It was much slower, but it still worked. The bonus was, the stronger your opponent, the quicker it did work if it was a true battle.
There was also the fact that Orario wasn't the only place in the world with monsters anyway. The monster his Goddess believes he is destined to vanquish does not even reside in the dungeon.
That was another thing about his Familia. Bell had a God and a Goddess. He knew it did not work like that in Orario. Gods and Goddess were close friends and formed alliances, but they all had their own individual Familias. They did not share children as his God and Goddess did.
Bell had walked into Asgard with the hope he could join a Familia and become strong enough to be the hero he always dreamed of. He knew strength would get him the girls his grandfather always talked of.
He never, in a million years, believed his Goddess would take one look at him and proclaim him the Captain they had been waiting for to lead them to Orario, or what else his Goddess taught him.
While his grandfather told him stories and bragged about being with as many girls as possible, his Goddess took him under her wing and taught him all those things instead of simply telling him them. Lady Frigg didn't just have stories about heroes, she had items they used as proof heroes were real.
Not to mention, she had taught Bell everything she could about girls. Even through all that though, Bell still hadn't been with a girl even if he knew what to do.
While his God and Goddess both talked about creating strong families, they also preached that it should be with those you felt a connection to who were strong enough as well.
As he walked down the street headed toward the Guild the man at the Gate pointed him to, he couldn't help but be a little disappointed. He expected Orario to be a grand city unmatched in beauty, but he thought Asgard was a much nicer place than what he was seeing.
Bell supposed the builders that were part of his advanced party would make this place a little more beautiful when they were finished. He knew the new Valaskjalf would add a majestic feel to this city that it lacked as of now.
He needed to walk by the Tower of Babel, and it was fairly nice. However, Bell certainly believed the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf was much nicer than Babel was. It might not have been as tall, but he had yet to lay eyes on a building as beautiful as the Royal Palace in Asgard.
The moment Bell stopped admiring Babel and went to head down the correct street to the Guild is when he felt that slight pull he'd only felt one other time. His God held many domains but they usually focused on four: Strength, War, Knowledge, and Battle.
However, Bell's God and Goddess meant that in every aspect including your family life. They were all expected to pass on their strength and legacy to the next generation. They were all encouraged to find women or men as strong or stronger to start families with.
His God did have a soft spot for love because of his Goddess, and Bell understood why. While they both encouraged finding strong women or men, as many as they could, to have children with. Bell doubts he'd ever worry about children with anyone else if he had a woman like Lady Frigg as his wife. His Goddess was as strong and intelligent as she was beautiful.
She was unlike any Goddess Bell had ever heard about. Lady Frigg could just as easily render you speechless with her beauty and grace as she could take your head with any weapon. She always preached that you would know when you met your mate as you'd feel a pull, and that is what Bell felt right now.
He had gone to Asgard at age 12 and met plenty of women in his 6 years there. Only one of them captivated him as the one he saw walking toward him now.
He had always thought he'd felt that pull with his Vice-Captain, but that was something he felt and she didn't seem to reciprocate. He had challenged her a few times and she always refused. Bell didn't believe she felt the pull he did.
He wondered if this one would, and he believed he might have a type based on what he saw. Since Bell only felt this one other time, he didn't believe he had a type. However, seeing who his eyes were drawn to, he didn't believe that to be the case anymore.
She was an Amazon, just like his Vice-Captain. This Amazon certainly didn't have the body his Vice-Captain possessed, but she was still beautiful. He could tell just by the way she walked and the look in her eyes she would be fun, no matter where they were.
Bell hoped this Amazon would finally accept his challenge.
Tiona, Tione, Ais, and Lefiya were all sitting down to another breakfast in the Twilight Manor. There had been nothing eventful to happen in a very long time in Orario. Unless, of course, you considered expeditions eventful.
The Loki Familia had gone on plenty of those over the last few years. The four sitting around eating breakfast had been on all of them. All of them, except for Lefiya, had been level 6 for over a year now.
Lefiya was catching up as she was level 4 now, but it was slow going. Ais, Tiona, and Tione had grown at almost the same rate since they made their little group within the Loki Familia. As the Record Holder for fastest level up, Ais had a slight leg up on the Amazon sisters, but it wasn't a large gap.
Their body language and expressions they had around the table told you all you needed to know about this tight little group of friends. Tione was scanning the dining hall, and they all knew it was to spot their Captain, Finn.
Ais sat down and ate her breakfast and the same pace and rhythm she did every day. Lefiya took turns between eating and staring wistfully at Ais. They all knew why, well, except for Ais.
And then there was Tiona. The Amazon always looked as if she was about to jump out of her seat and exclaim something. None of them could ever remember a time she wasn't full of energy and excitement.
"We're still going to the dungeon today, right?!"
Tiona nearly jumped out of her seat when she asked that. Only Ais was just excited, she simply didn't show it.
"I'll go but I'm asking the Captain if he wants to join us."
"I'm still going if Ms. Ais is!"
Neither her sister's nor Lefiya's answers surprised Tiona and she jumped up out of her seat when Ais nodded at Lefiya that she was indeed coming. Tiona was so excited she had already finished her breakfast and ran her tray over to the kitchen.
She still needed to wait for the others at the door out of the dining hall. She did so bouncing on the heels of her feet in excitement. It was still early as they left toward Babel. They wanted to get an early start so they weren't too late in the dungeon.
As they walked from Twilight Manor, Tione was getting annoyed at how excited her sister was this early in the morning. It didn't help no one else seemed to care she was being annoying. Lefiya and Ais didn't do anything to calm down the excited Amazon.
They all watched Tiona bounce ahead and stop to get a few snacks on the way. How she was still hungry they didn't know. And Tione also wondered where it all went. It was true she ate a good amount as well and was still slim, but she was sure the rest went to her breasts and butt, unlike her sister.
Tiona had remained 'flat-chested' at least to her sister she did. It wasn't until very, very late in her maturity she finally developed what you could consider breasts. They were still small, especially compared to Tione's, but she was a solid B-cup by Tione's estimation.
If Tione was being generous, she was pushing close to C-cup. A considerable feet considering what she had to work with only a couple of years ago. She doubted her sister would have another growth spurt though so she was stuck with what she had.
It wasn't until they were close to Babel and Tiona had finished her snacks that she joined the group once more. She had calmed down considerably and Tione thought maybe she was just still hungry and that was why she had been acting like that before.
When they were entering the area just outside the entrance to Babel, something happened that none of them would ever forget. It may have been the most unexpected thing any of them had ever experienced.
A boy none of them had ever seen before was suddenly in front of them. They had never seen the boy before, but they could all admit he was good looking. None of them had ever seen the combination of white hair and ruby eyes like this boy had.
He didn't look to be much younger than they were, but he was definitely in very good shape and obviously an adventurer. Most of them would guess 16-18 and they'd be right. Bell was 18 even if he looked younger. They all did as well. It was a side effect of having a Falna.
The boy was wearing white armor that you would consider light. It protected all the major areas of his body, but the rest was very lightweight for flexibility and movement. The borders were detailed in silver, and he had a good amount of weapons on his person.
They could see two daggers in the small of his back, and two more longer, curved ones that rested on each side of his hips. He had two longswords that crossed in an X on his back, and a long spear going straight up from behind his head from the middle of the X.
Even if they hadn't spotted the many weapons the boy carried, they'd have easily guessed he normally used two weapons. This is the exact kind of armor those that used speed and normally fought with two weapons wore.
In the center of his chest plate was a symbol that was unfamiliar to all of them. It was three interlocking black triangles. A silver border went around all three triangles and it was surrounded in a ring of the same rune repeatedly in silver. The rune looked like an F where the back extended past the top and the outward lines were angled upward.
Just when they were about to question why in the world he was in their way, the boy spoke. All of them were stunned at what came out of his mouth and what he did.
"May I please have the honor of dueling you, my beautiful Amazon."
All of them knew the implication of what this boy just said. Asking to duel an Amazon was the same as asking to bed them. This had happened to Tione a few times in the years since she had been here, but that wasn't what was shocking.
What had them all thrown was who it was said to. This boy was in front of Tiona. He even went as far as to grab her hand with both of his and stare at her with hope in his eyes.
He looked far too innocent to realize what he was getting himself into, and Tione doubted her sister would even give him the time of day.
"You... You want to duel... me?..."
Apparently, Tiona was just as shocked as the rest of them at this development. She did think the boy was handsome, but this had never happened to her before. The men usually tried this on Ais or Tione, even Lefiya a few times, but never her.
She had never cared to look for a proper mate before, but she could sense this boy was strong. It awoke something in Tiona she didn't even realize she wanted. Even the feel of his rough hands holding hers sent sparks through her.
"Of course, you are the one I can't take my eyes off of. Do you accept my request, beautiful?"
"You can't just ask an Amazon that, human! You don't even know her name!"
Bell hadn't even noticed there were others with her. That is when he noticed the other Amazon who looked similar to the one he wished to duel, a blonde human who was pretty cute herself, and an elf who just yelled at him for no reason and was scowling right at him.
"I can, Ms. Elf. Amazons only care for strength, names are irrelevant, but that is easily remedied." Just because he knew Amazons only cared about strength didn't mean he couldn't use all Lady Frigg had taught him so he brought up her hand in his to kiss it as you would meeting a princess. "I'm Bell, Bell Cranel. It is a pleasure to meet you..."
Tione, Ais, and Lefiya weren't the only ones to be shocked at the fact Tiona was blushing right now, Tiona was as well. This handsome, strong boy was doing things to her she'd never felt before.
"I'm Tiona, Tiona Hiryute~ The pleasure is all mine, Bell Cranel~"
If they were all shocked at Tiona blushing, listening to her successfully sound seductive and sultry made them all want to yell out in surprise. There wasn't a person around who wouldn't have thought trying to sound seductive would sound strange coming from Tiona's mouth, but it didn't.
"Tiona, a beautiful name for a beautiful woman. Now that I have satisfied your elf friend with the exchanging of names. Would you accept my challenge of a duel, Tiona Hiryute?"
"Absolutely, Bell Cranel~"
"Tiona! You can't do that! This human isn't a part of our Familia!"
Bell was about to scowl at the damn elf. He'd never met a more annoying person in his life and he'd been all over the world. If she was friends with two Amazons, she should know how this works.
"Be quiet, Lefiya! This has nothing to do with Familias!"
Bell smiled instead of scowling at the elf when Tiona shut her up immediately. He'd waited for this day for years now, but he knew he'd have to delay it a bit longer. He could tell this Amazon was strong.
"I'd love to do it here and now, Tiona Hiryute. However, I do not wish for my first impression in Orario to be of one where we destroy the streets and buildings. Please, allow me to register my Familia at the Guild and get the rest of my advanced party started on their work. I will speak with the Guild and find a suitable time and place for us to duel."
If Bell wasn't already excited, the pout on Tiona's face made him even more so. He could tell she didn't want to wait either, but he had a feeling they'd destroy a few blocks, at the least, if they dueled in the streets.
"I, reluctantly, agree, Bell Cranel~ Just don't make me wait too long~"
"I promise to make it as soon as possible, beautiful Tiona."
Bell kissed the back of her hand before finally dropping it. He'd have preferred to take her outside the walls and duel now, but he had responsibilities to see to. Bell laughed as the other Amazon hooked her arm in Tiona's and started dragging her away. It wasn't just what she said, but the fact Tiona never took her eyes off him that made him laugh.
"Come on, stupid! Now, we can't go to the dungeon. We have to go speak with Goddess Loki about what you just accepted!"
When Bell stopped laughing, he blew his Amazon a kiss and watched her smile even brighter. He couldn't wait and hoped the Guild would have a place he could use later today. He had two days before his God and Goddess arrived, and he knew they wouldn't be disappointed if he already had a mate as strong as Tiona when they arrived.
Bell headed toward the Guild with the rest of their people to register himself. He was told they wouldn't need to register since they weren't going to be going in the dungeon, but he was going to bring the Head Builder into the Guild with him to make sure.
A lot of people were staring at him as he waited for one of the receptionists to be open to speak with. He chatted with the Head Builder to keep himself from challenging all these jackasses staring at him. He needed to make a good impression since his familia had never registered in Orario, but all these male adventurers sizing him up tested his patience and willpower.
When he finally was able to speak with a receptionist, she happened to be a very cute half-elf named Eina. Bell was grateful for the lessons Lady Frigg gave him. He had the half-elf blushing in no time, but he was also grateful the half-elf could be completely professional regardless.
When he found out it was unnecessary to register the others because they were builders and servants, he sent the Head Builder to the land his God and Goddess already purchased so they could start on their Familia home.
They all had places to sleep on the new land, but Bell was going to find an inn to stay at. He wanted to be as well-rested as possible for his duel, and he knew sleeping on a cot in a tent wouldn't allow him to be.
It wouldn't hinder him in any way. He would just be in top form sleeping on a real bed. When he filled out the information for Eina, he realized his God and Goddess were not false in their praise of Bell's growth.
Eina could barely contain herself when she saw Bell's level. He knew then things were going to get very interesting and not only because of his arrival. When the rest of his Familia showed up, Orario was in for a rude awakening on who held the power in this city.
Tione had dragged Tiona back to Twilight Manor to speak with Loki. She had no problem with what her sister agreed to. If she hadn't met her Captain, she'd have hoped that boy challenged her, but now they couldn't head to the dungeon. Tione knew Ais would be the only one upset they skipped today.
Lefiya would be fine as long as she got to spend the day near Ais. Tione wondered if Ais would ever figure out exactly why Lefiya was always so close to her. She doubted the girl ever would. Tione loved Ais, but she was under no illusion the girl could read the emotions of those around her.
Tione would have expected Tiona to be upset at not going into the dungeon either, but she didn't have that worry today. Tiona had stared toward Babel the entire time with hearts in her eyes. Tione knew Tiona only made it back to the Twilight Manor because she dragged her sister there.
Getting back and talking to Goddess Loki quickly may give them time to go back, but she doubted her sister would be useful for the rest of the day. Tione had been useless herself for nearly two days when she met Finn.
Unfortunately, or maybe it was fortunate, Loki was having a meeting with Gareth, Finn, and Riveria that was too important to interrupt. Even after telling them why they only got Loki to send Raul to get Bell Cranel's information he had to register then they had to wait.
They wished they knew what the others were speaking about because they weren't ready to talk until near lunchtime. When all four of them finally did enter Loki's office, they could feel the tension coming off Loki.
"Alright, so what's this about Tiona now?"
"There was this boy-"
"Yes, Bell Cranel you said. Where is Raul anyway? He should have been back by now with that information."
"HE CHALLENGED ME! REALLY, WE SHOULDN'T EVEN DUEL! I'LL JUST BE BACK LATER!"
Tiona went to leave but Tione grabbed her before she could get out of her seat. Tiona didn't take kindly to that and started resisting. Loki didn't like any of this.
"ENOUGH!"
Even Finn was surprised how angry Loki was. Everyone stopped moving immediately.
"I've got my own problems to deal with. Why's she so worked up? Does this Bell Cranel even stand a chance at beating Tiona?"
"She's the one who stands no chance."
That incredibly long sentence came out of the mouth of Ais Wallenstein. Even Tiona was shocked and stared at the Sword Princess. Loki is never one to miss a chance to converse with Ais, especially when she's feeling like she is now.
"You sure about that Ais?"
"Positive. He could have defeated all four of us."
"You sensed it too!"
Tiona was excited again that Ais confirmed what she believed. She was nearly certain she couldn't defeat Bell. Now that Ais said the same thing, she's tempted to forgo some stupid duel and find him right now.
"Sit down!" It seems Loki is still a little upset. "If he's as strong as you believe, this could be a good thing for us. However, this can't be a coincidence. Did you find out what Familia he is from?"
Tione went to open her mouth, but there was a knock on the door. Loki told them to enter and it was Raul back. They all wondered why it took him so long, but an explanation came soon.
"Finally! Did you get what I asked for?"
"Yes, I did Goddess. Umm, sorry it took so long, it couldn't be helped. The Guild was packed and I had to wait hours to talk to someone."
"What was going on down there?"
"Well, everyone was looking for information on the same boy, and I, umm, ran into him on the way back. He gave me two messages. One for you, Goddess, and one for Tiona."
Raul handed Goddess Loki her's first, but Tiona jumped up and snatched the other before he could even turn from Loki. Both of them opened up the messages, and all in the room watched Loki gets paler and paler while Tiona smiled wider and wider.
Princess Loki,
My name is Bell Cranel, your majesty. I know you have never heard that name, but I am sure by now your Familia members I ran into outside of Babel will have told you a little bit about me. I'm sure if you've gotten my information from the Guild, you understand why I address you as such.
I believe it may have been fate that Tiona is a member of your Familia. I can only assume you are alright with my challenge to your beautiful Amazon. I got to know a little of her as well and was happy to see she is a level 6. I hope you will attend our duel, I believe we will put on quite the show.
Also, I believe my God and Goddess would be upset at me if I did not invite you personally. The downside is that I could not get the Coliseum until two days from now in the early evening.
The Guild wanted to turn it into a spectacle/Welcoming Party for my Familia. I'm sure you understand they like the theatrics. I know my God and Goddess will not enjoy it very much but will put up with it.
I know it will be extra special for them if their daughter is in attendance to welcome them to Orario. I know your mother and father would be unhappy not to be able to greet you, Princess Loki. I look forward to getting to talk to you soon.

"Son of a bitch, it's true!"
Everyone in the office jumped back or sat back as Loki finished the letter and jumped out of her chair. She did not look happy. She didn't look angry, she looked... distraught, maybe helpless. It was strange seeing her like this.
"So they are coming, Loki?"
Loki nodded her head at Finn and looked at Raul.
"Did you get his information?"
Raul handed it over to Loki and she dropped it down only 5 seconds after looking at it.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!"
Loki was stomping on the ground with both feet. She was jumping up and down like a child. It was funny and worrying for everyone. Even their... eccentric deity never acted like this before. Riveria picked up the paper, read it, gulped, and then looked at everyone.
"New Familia. The Odin Familia: Exploration. God: Odin, Goddess: Frigg. Rank: A. Captain: Bell Cranel, Level 8. Vice-Captain: Elmina Garof, Level 6."
"No! No! No! NO!"
It seemed hearing it out loud was even worse for Loki. Everyone was staring at her but it was as if none of them were in the room.
"What's wrong with Loki?"
"That's..." Finn looks at his Goddess. "That's for her to tell you. I'm sure she will when she is done having her meltdown."
Tione looked at her sister and saw a blush on her face, hearts in her eyes, and a big smile on her face. She was about to ask what was in her letter when her sister was suddenly right in her face.
"You always try to look good for the captain! I need you to come with me! I need a dress, and you need to do whatever it is girls do to get pretty! Come on!"
Tiona tried to drag her away, and she was successful until Riveria helped grab Tiona.
"I know you've never felt like this Tiona so it is probably a little overwhelming for you. Being an Amazon probably doesn't help, but get a hold of yourself."
Mama Riveria came out and Tiona stopped struggling. She still didn't look happy they stopped her but she turned back to the room.
"Bell has Captain things to do and then he invited me to dinner! I need to go get ready!"
"Tiona, it isn't even lunchtime yet."
"But I need to get a dress, and do other things! Doesn't that take time?!"
"By the Gods, you really are gone, aren't you?" Riveria shakes her head. She couldn't help but think she would never have this problem with Tiona of all people. "You want to go buy... a dress?"
"Of course! Isn't that what girls wear on dates?"
Tiona truly had no idea, but she was pretty sure that was true. She'd never been on one.
"I will... go with you." Mama Riveria was always stepping up. "But you need to sit down and remain calm until this meeting is over, alright?"
Tiona nodded her head and sat down, but she did not look happy about it. Loki looked to finally stop throwing her tantrum.
"Now that we know it to be true. Why don't you tell the others what we spoke of earlier, Loki?"
Loki looked at all of them in the room, and they don't think they've ever seen it so pained before. They had no idea why until she finally opened her mouth.
"Odin and Frigg are my... parents."
Tione, Tiona, Ais, and Lefiya were all shocked. Finn, Gareth, and Riveria, on the other hand, were laughing behind their hands. It wasn't long until all of them were trying to hide their laughter.
"I wouldn't be laughing." They all stopped immediately when they heard how serious Loki was. "With them coming, I don't need to know how many they have in their Familia. I guarantee you, they will be fighting us and the Freya Familia for strongest Familia in Orario... immediately."
"How do you... how do you know that?"
Even Finn seemed shocked at Loki saying that. He never stumbled when speaking.
"My parents vowed to stay out of Orario until they found Destiny's Last Hero. My mother believed he would begin his journey in Asgard, but it could only be finished in Orario. If they are coming, that means they believe Bell Cranel is this hero."
"I am curious how he leveled so high outside of Orario." Finn was back in information-gathering mode. "What do you mean Destiny's Last Hero?"
Finn knew what was going to come out of Loki's mouth before she said it. It was all because she looked straight at Ais before she said it.
"He is the reason I've tried to get you to think of more than revenge, Aisie Pooh." Loki looked sad and happy to say this last part to Ais. "Bell Cranel will be the one to slay the One-Eyed Black Dragon."
"WHAT?!"
That was new information to everyone in the room and they shoot up out of their seats. Even Ais couldn't believe what she just heard.
"Mama, go get horny Tiona ready for her date. I need to drink for 2 straight days. I need to act nice to my parents when they arrive. Everyone dismissed!"
They all filed out of the room with different goals on their mind. No matter what that goal was, they all knew one thing. They had work to do.
Bell Cranel had been walking around on cloud nine since this morning. It seemed his luck couldn't get any better. Not only was everything moving along already with the construction, but he also managed to run into a Loki Familia member to deliver his messages. It saved him having to walk halfway across the city and back twice.
Bell was able to put that time into getting a room, having lunch, checking the layout of the city, and finding a place to take Tiona tonight. Just because they hadn't dueled yet didn't mean he couldn't see her.
The elf, Lefiya, was right about one thing. He knew nothing about Tiona. That didn't change the fact he wanted to claim her, but it couldn't hurt to spend time getting to know her.
Although, perhaps it wasn't such a good idea. He spent time getting to know Elmina, and that certainly backfired on him. She didn't want to be anything but friends from what he saw from her.
His Goddess had told him every woman was different, and since he had no idea what Tiona liked, he used his favorite story as inspiration. He hoped she liked it, not that Tiona would know, but it fits him.
Bell even had enough time to get some proper clothes on. It didn't look like he was armed, but that's because his longswords and spear were back at camp, under guard. He still had all his daggers, you just couldn't see them.
When he finished getting ready and walked downstairs, every person in the inn turned to him again. This had happened every time he'd entered or left.
He was used to being looked up to by now. You get used to it when your Goddess calls you Destiny's Chosen Hero in front of a palace full of people, but this was getting ridiculous.
He felt like an exotic animal on display or something, and the stare of that waitress Syr gave him the creeps. She looked all innocent and cheerful, but he could sense something was off about her. She still bounced over to him as cheerful and happy as ever though.
"Did you come down for some dinner, Bell?"
"Ahh, no. I'm hopefully meeting my date unless she couldn't make it. I was just leaving actually, Ms. Syr."
Syr went to open her mouth, but the door opened and she noticed Bell wasn't paying attention to her anymore. He was staring over her shoulder and the smile on his face was as bright as she'd ever seen it. When she turned around, she did not expect what she saw.
Tiona stood there in an off the shoulder yellow, floral sundress. It barely covered her chest, and it went down to just above mid-thigh. Everyone had always seen the Amazon happy, but she'd never smiled like that.
The bar area became completely silent when they noticed the two staring at each other. Bell stepped right past Syr and made his way over to Tiona. He wasn't too excited to see Riveria and Tione there as well, but he'd take whatever he could for now.
"Tiona, you look... words don't do you justice."
Bell took her hand and kissed it while shooting her the most charming smile he could muster. It worked judging from her reaction and she eyed him up as well.
Tiona thought he looked like a prince. He had on black pants and a black tunic. There were silver details on his shirt, and his black boots looked polished and shiny. It was the smile on his face and aura around him that made her think that though. Even if he did look good enough to eat right now.
"I could say the same thing about you, Bell Cranel~" Tiona stepped right into his space and was only inches from him. "Why don't we just ski-"
Tiona was yanked back by her sister. She honestly didn't care if they went straight upstairs, but she had orders from her Goddess and that came first. It was Riveria to step toward Bell though.
"I apologize, Mr. Cranel."
"Believe me, I don't mind Lady Riveria."
"Yes, from what I've heard of your Familia, you certainly don't. However, Goddess Loki believes we should wait until she has a chance to speak with Lord Odin and Lady Frigg before any of... that may happen."
"I have the authorization to negotiate if that is the issue, Lady Riveria."
"You may... spend time together, but my Goddess insists she speaks with them. We hope you don't mind, but we will be her chaperone until this can all be sorted out, Mr. Cranel."
"I'd prefer to do it now, but I can see there will be no change on that. Well then." Bell bows to Riveria and then to Tione. "Welcome to our date, Lady Riveria, Ms. Tione, I didn't make reservations for four, I hope you don't mind."
"No, we will try to stay out of your way as best we can. We just need to... control Tiona."
Bell is fine with that. He's waited years for this, two days shouldn't be a problem. He finally got to turn back to Tiona and see if she liked what he had planned.
"My Princess, I hope you don't mind but I thought I'd be your Hero at the Beginning and treat you to a dinner fitting a Princess. Afterward, I found a place I think you will enjoy while I was exploring earlier. I believe it is the perfect place to make you laugh so we may find a clown and a fool."
Bell is questioning whether he should continue with what he is saying. Tiona is just staring at him, and he can't really read her. Her smile had dropped, but she didn't look upset. She looked... he has no idea. Might as well finish his stupid monologue he thought she might enjoy.
"Then after we had a good laugh, I thought I could end the night with the greatest of rewards. Dancing with my Princess under the stars. Does that interest you at all?"
She was just staring at him, and he half expected her to slap him or something. She was just staring and staring, and finally, she smiled so bright Bell couldn't believe she could look that happy.
"Did you... did you recreate the story of the... Argonaut, into a date?"
Bell couldn't help but smile himself. He couldn't help himself planning this date. Since he didn't know what she liked, he went with his favorite story for inspiration.
"You know the tale of the Argonaut?"
"It's my favorite!"
No one was close enough or fast enough to stop Tiona from jumping into Bell, wrapping her arms around his neck, her legs around his waist, and crashing her lips into his. Riveria and Tione would have let it happen anyway, it was just a kiss.
However, they had to break it up when Tiona started with the tongue and grinding on Bell. That was barely appropriate behind closed doors and they were in the middle of the Benevolent Mistress.
Bell took her hand and smiled at Tiona as they left the Inn. Tiona gripped his hand tight and then latched onto his arm as well. Bell was a little disappointed at being chaperoned, but he still had a wonderful night with Tiona.
She only needed to be pulled off him five times. Bell certainly knew by the end of the night how to kiss Tiona. When he walked her back to Twilight Manor, they let them go a little longer than normal but pulled Tiona off when she reached for his belt. He went back to the Benevolent Mistress and called it a night after that.
He spent the next day doing the same things as well. He'd get up, check on the progress, so some homework, do any last-minute prep for the arrival of Lord Odin and Lady Frigg, and then he'd spend every second he could with Tiona.
He had learned pretty quick she loved what he loved, hero stories. That is all they talked about for almost 2 whole days when Tiona wasn't figuring out how his tongue tasted.
Now, Bell Cranel found himself at the entrance to Orario awaiting the arrival of his God and Goddess, King and Queen, and the rest of his Familia.
He had been taught to do his homework, and he did. Knowledge was key to winning a battle and he had looked at the information of every notable Familia and most of the others over these two days.
If there was one thing he knew for certain, Orario was going to be in an uproar when the rest of his Familia registered. Bell's fairly certain they are already the strongest Familia in Orario.
When Bell finally saw his Lord and Lady coming toward him on horses, he dropped down on one knee. His God and Goddess were not just that, they were also the King and Queen he chose, not just the Familia.
Riding right behind them he saw his Vice-Captain and the other two executives. Elmina looked as beautiful as ever, and Bell still had trouble keeping his eyes off her after all her rejections.
She had on the same outfit she always wore. Gold chokers around her neck, wrists, lower waist, and ankles. There were purple ones on her upper waist, her lower ankles, and her neck where her black cloth stretched over her very ample chest.
They were barely wide enough to cover up past her nipples and stretched down to the purple belt around her upper waist. The black material came from the back of the belt and formed a small cape shaped like a pedal that barely went to her knees or covered her backside.
She had on black underwear that looked like a swimsuit bottom with a gold ring on each hip. Gold chains ran down her legs to just above her knee where they connect to another gold ring.
Two strips of the same black fabric came off each end of the ring and wrapped around the rest of her thighs and calf. The material connected to the gold ring around her upper ankle. Just below that was a purple ring that went around her ankle and supported what an Amazon would consider footwear.
The same black material went down over her heel then ran along the sole of her foot before connecting to a gold ring on her second toe. The black mask that covered her face below her nose did nothing to hide her beauty.
Bell absolutely loved her short black hair and green eyes. Her eyes were such a light green, they looked yellow when the sunlight hit them. Her chest was something out of a drawing, and her hips were drool-worthy. Every inch of his Amazon Vice-Captain was perfect.
Bell never could stop the smile on his face when he saw her. He knew she was smiling too even if that mask was in the way. Bell doubts he'd ever stop challenging her. He just hoped she accepted one day. On Elmina's left and right were their two executives, both males.
The man on the right was a dark elf by the name of Sidris Kezray. He had been in the Odin Familia for twenty years when Bell met him. The man taught him nearly everything he knew of tactics in combat when it comes to fighting. Bell isn't sure there is a swordsman alive as skilled as his friend.
Sidris wore armor very similar to Bell's. The look was exactly the same, but he had red details on his chest plate, arm guards, and greaves. He also wielded twin longswords or daggers if he needed to. Everyone could see two swords across his back and two daggers on his hips. They just didn't know he had twelve other daggers on his person as well.
The man on the left was a dwarf by the name of Toregg Steelhead. He was in full plate armor and wearing his helm. The only open spot in his helm was so he could see and his beard had room to hang.
There were twin Warhammers on his back as he rode atop his pony. Bell is pretty sure it is the first time he's seen the Dwarven smith on any kind of horse. He was surprised they could unglue him from the forge to bring him.
He crafted every weapon and armor Bell had ever wielded or worn. Which meant no one had ever saved him as many times as his friend, Toregg.
He looked and saw the rest of his Familia as his King and Queen dismounted. He saw the Werewolf, Arric Salete. The Asgardian local, Vigot Svartsson. Their Far Eastern Samurai girl, Karen, and one of his closest confidants, the Princess turned Healer, Ariadne Lakrios. It would take Bell a while to go through all forty-three people.
"Rise, our son. It is good to see you fairing well."
"You look at home already, Bell. How has Orario treated your arrival?"
It was always his Queen that greeted Bell first. It wasn't a secret he was her favorite, either of theirs, but no one seemed to care. He bowed to his King before kissing the back of his Queen's hand.
"My King, My Queen, welcome to Orario. It has been eventful here these first two days. The builders have started, and I have confirmed Lord Ouranos has a place fit for you until construction is completed. I also have a bit of news to share with you, your majesties."
"Bell..." It was his Goddess's soft, caring voice that drew his attention. "You must remember this is Orario. We are Lord Odin and Lady Frigg here. There is no King and Queen in Orario. What news do you have to share?"
"I apologize, my lady. I wish to inform you both that I have found a mate. I wished to have it handled by the time you got here, but her Goddess insisted on speaking with you both personally. Her Goddess is Princess Loki."
His Lady's musical laughter rang through the air like a song. It always made Bell smile to hear it. He noticed Elmina tense though and wondered what that was about. He didn't have time to consider it because his Lord spoke.
"Hmm, perhaps it was destiny, Bell."
"I had the same thought, Lord Odin. The Guild insisted our duel wait until you arrived. I believe they wish to make a spectacle of your arrival. It is scheduled for the early evening in the Coliseum. It should give everyone enough time to get settled and have a meal."
"Already having to deal with the 'entertainment' of Orario."
Lord Odin mumbled. Lady Frigg laughed at her husband before looking at Bell and asking.
"Tell me..." Lady Frigg eyed the large crowd watching all this unfold. "Is she here? I'd like to meet this girl, Bell."
Bell nodded his head and pointed to his left. Tiona had walked with him here with her usual escorts. She was in another floral sundress, but this one was white and silver. She looked absolutely magnificent.
Lady Frigg motioned for the girl to come over and had to contain her laugh. It wasn't because the girl was escorted by a high elf and a human girl, but because it seemed her Captain had a type. Bell seemed enamored with Amazons.
"Lady Frigg, Lord Odin, it is a pleasure to meet you both. I'm Tiona, Tiona Hiryute of the Loki Familia."
Tiona curtsied and everything as she greeted Bell's God and Goddess. She had already wanted to meet his God but was extra intrigued when she learned he had a God and Goddess.
Tiona smiled as bright as she could at the two, but she noticed the Amazon between them narrowing her eyes at her. That could be no one other than Elmina Garof, Bell's Vice-Captain. Tiona simply smiled at her.
Tiona had no idea why she would refuse Bell, especially as an Amazon. The only theory that made any sense to Tiona was that she was into women. It was all she could come up with as an excuse as to not wanting to be with Bell.
Odin eyed the girl once and approved. He could tell she was strong just by looking at her. Lady Frigg smiled as well. It seemed it was starting for Bell. She knew what this would lead to, not for her Captain, well kind of, but more her Vice-Captain.
She had tried to talk Elmina out of her beliefs since she told her why she refused Bell. Lady Frigg was sure this is the moment that would put her Amazon Vice-Captain over the top, watching Bell claim someone else should finally spark her into action.
"You are quite the beauty, Tiona Hiryute. I see our Captain chose wisely."
"Yes, I can sense you are no pushover, Tiona. I wish you and Bell a fruitful future."
"Thank you, Lady Frigg, Lord Odin. I plan on making Bell very happy indeed."
Tiona said that because it was the truth, and also to watch the other Amazon twitch. She'd have fun with this for a while she thought. She was going to keep it up until a throat cleared behind her and she realized she forgot something.
"I apologize, Lady Frigg, Lord Odin, allow me to introduce two members of my Familia. Ais Wallenstein, known in Orario as the Sword Princess, and Riveria Ljos Alf, known as the Nine Hells and an executive of the Loki Familia."
Both Ais and Riveria gave a slight bow in their direction.
"Lord Odin, Lady Frigg, it is a pleasure."
"Ms. Wallenstein, Lady Riveria, it is a pleasure to meet two more members of our daughters Familia. Did our little trickster not come to greet her parents?"
Riveria answered with a smile on her face. She had a feeling Loki would be much easier to handle with Lady Frigg and Lord Odin around.
"Lady Loki awaits you at Babel, Lady Frigg. She shall be the one to show you to your rooms they have prepared for you."
"Let us not delay any longer than, shall we?"
They all turned and headed toward Babel. Tiona slid right next to Bell and latched onto his arms as they walked. She snuck a peek over her shoulder and smiled when she saw Elmina scowl at her.
She made sure to lean her head on Bell's shoulder for good measure. The whole rest of the time she spent with Bell, until she had to prepare for their duel, was spent with a smile on her face.
When Tiona had left Bell to prepare, she got straight into her dungeon outfit, grabbed her weapon, and started sparring against any who wished. She thought it when she met him, and Tiona knew it to be true now that she spent time with Bell.
She didn't stand a chance against him.
That didn't mean Tiona wouldn't give it everything she had. Bell didn't seem like the type to just knock her out immediately, even if he could. She honestly wouldn't mind that, but she wanted what she was sure he did.
She wanted to show him how strong she was.
She knew she wasn't the strongest, but she was among them. She wanted to show Bell he didn't make a foolish decision with her. And for the first time in her life, she wanted to get stronger to stand beside someone.
Tiona didn't want to be the Amazon Bell decided to pass his legacy through and stand behind him. She wanted to have beautiful, strong children with him, and stand beside him, not behind.
When she finished her warm-up, she had walked to the Coliseum with Tione, Ais, Lefiya, and Riveria. They stayed with her in the waiting area for a while until it was almost ready to start. She was alone with her thoughts and psyching herself up when the door opened.
She wasn't surprised by who came in. She had been waiting for her to come and speak with her. Tiona was surprised Elmina hadn't tried talking to her earlier. She supposed it would have been harder to kill her unnoticed surrounded by all those people. The other Amazon didn't disappoint Tiona and started her rant immediately when the door closed.
"You will withdraw, you do not deserve my Captain!"
"And why would I do that? It's not my fault you refused Bell. I've no idea why you would be so stupid?"
"Me refusing still doesn't make you worthy!"
"Well, your opinion truly means little to me. Bell finds me worthy, therefore, I am. I'm still intrigued though, why did you refuse Bell? What is it about him you don't love? I've only spent two days with him and he's... perfect, as far as I can tell."
The smile and wistful looks Tiona gave toward Elmina were purposeful. She could see her fuming under that mask, but it worked. Elmina exploded and Tiona got the answer she had been waiting for.
"I love everything about him! I've loved him for years and he IS perfect! No one is worthy of him! Certainly not a former assas-"
Elmina stopped herself, but Tiona didn't need her to continue. Tiona now knew it was Elmina who didn't find herself worthy. Tiona kind of understood, but only barely.
Everyone deserved a chance at happiness no matter their past. Tiona certainly didn't have a great history. She'd done things she tried to forget every day.
"I'm sure if anyone can understand having a troubled past, it is me. I killed my first person when I was six years old. I was trained from the time I could walk to kill, but I don't let the past affect my future. You shouldn't either."
Tiona was surprised when she stepped toward Elmina and the girl didn't move. She put her hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eye.
"I'm going to fight Bell, and I know I don't stand a chance. I am fine with that because I want him and I want to be happy. I am going to have his children, but there is also something else I want..."
Tiona made sure the Amazon was hanging on her every word although she already was.
"I want to stand next to Bell, not behind him. I want to train and become strong enough to help him. And while I'd love to give Bell a thousand children, I'll never get stronger like that. I have a proposal if you're interested..."
Ibri Achaa had called a lot of games and events for the Gods, but this is the one he was the most excited to watch. He hadn't seen Bell Cranel fight, but he knew he was Level 8. He had seen Tiona fight though and knew this would be fun to watch even with a two-level difference.
No one knew how strong the rest of Bell's Familia was because they weren't required to register yet in lieu of the event taking place. He did notice there were a lot of them though and most of them seemed to carry themselves like veteran adventurers though they'd never been in Orario before.
It was time to get to his job though, and he loved being able to announce events like this. He took up his microphone and threw his unoccupied hand into the air to start the festivities.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Gods and Goddess, Citizens of Orario, and fellow adventurers! I welcome you to our special duel event this evening! First, let me introduce the new God and Goddess to grace Orario with their presence, Lord Odin and Lady Frigg!"
Lady Frigg stood and waved to the crowd and some of the men passed out. Lord Odin waved from his seat with a frown on his face. The man hated all the pomp that came with Orario.
"And now! Let me be the first to introduce our challenger! He is Orario's newest Captain! Leader of the Odin Familia, Bell Cranel!"
There was a decent cheer, but most of it came from the normal citizens of Orario, the women, and his Familia. The rest were just staring at him, but he was used to it. He just wanted to see his beautiful Amazon come out of that tunnel so that was all he was focused on.
"And now! It is my pleasure to introduce you to the brave adventurer who accepted Bell Cranel's challenge! We all know her well-"
Ibri stopped mid-sentence when someone ran up to him with a note. He put the mic down and read it. He didn't think this could get any better, but he was wrong. His excitement went up ten notches when he continued.
"It seems we have a surprise in-store for Orario's newest Captain! Please welcome the acceptors of Bell Cranel's challenge. From the Loki Familia, Tiona "Crusher" Hiryute, and from the Odin Familia, their Vice-Captain, Elmina Garof!"
When Bell laid eyes on both Amazons striding out of the tunnel side by side, his smile grew tenfold. He didn't think arriving in Orario could get any better.
He had no idea what the future had in store for him.

Chapter 02: Duel of Three Hearts
The smile on Bell's face only grew larger the closer Tiona and Elmina got to him. Just when Bell thought finding Tiona couldn't make coming to Orario any better, he now also got to see his Vice-Captain striding toward him, finally accepting his challenge after all this time.
He couldn't help but admire how similar yet how different they were. Other than Elmina having larger assets than Tiona and different colored eyes, they looked nearly identical. However, Bell knew their personalities were not nearly the same.
Tiona was fun, energetic, and playful. Elmina was focused, calculated, and serious. He knew Tiona could be serious and Elmina had a playful side. However, those came out far less frequently than the other aspects of their personalities. That didn't make either of them less beautiful than the other to Bell though.
Bell was so focused on his beautiful Amazons and what he'd be doing to them later, he forgot the reason they were standing in the middle of the Coliseum. It wasn't until he noticed the smirk under Elmina's mask and the one on Tiona before they pulled out their weapons that he remembered why they were here.
"Are you going to stare all day with that stupid grin on your face or are we going to fight?"
"Let's go, Bell Cranel~ I have plans for you tonight~"
Elmina smirked under her mask at Bell's stupid smile. There was nothing more she loved than seeing him smile, but she wanted to get this over with. She had stupidly denied herself Bell for years now and was anxious to finally have him.
Tiona was much the same. She loved seeing Bell smile, but she was ready to be done. She really did have plans for him, and she was eager to get to them. It may have only been two days compared to the years Elmina wanted him, but he had been all Tiona thought about for the two days she had known Bell.
"Yes, let the fun begin."
"It looks as if they are ready! 3! 2! 1! Begin!"
Bell only waited until he was done speaking to start. The announcer didn't matter to him, but it didn't look to anyone like he was doing anything other than grabbing a weapon.
All except Elmina and those from the Odin Familia.
Bell went for his spear first. The moment his hand landed on it, runes lit up the middle of the shaft and the edge glowed white. Nearly everyone was mesmerized when he pulled it from his back and started twirling it around.
Elmina knew what was about to happen and her eyes widened that Bell would start off with this. Right before he slammed the tip in the ground, Elmina sidestepped and realized Tiona had no idea what was coming.
"Get out of the way!"
Tiona heard her at the last second and jumped to the side as Elmina was. Bell finished his light show and slammed the butt end straight into the dirt of the Coliseum.
Up in the stands, Loki spit out her drink when she saw the weapon Bell had in his hands. She couldn't believe what she was witnessing, and it looked like only Hephaestus realized what the weapon Bell was wielding was. Loki couldn't help but turn to Frigg and ask.
"Is that?"
That was all Frigg and Odin needed to hear to understand. It was Odin who turned to his daughter with a smile Loki rarely saw.
"Indeed, Bell wields Gungnir. The one I carry is merely a replica created by our smith, Toregg."
Loki gulped when she realized the implications. She'd never been more grateful for Orario's politics than now. If her parents hadn't been forced to negotiate for Tiona, who knew what Familia they would have allied with.
If Bell Cranel could wield the weapons of the Gods, any who joined his side would be a part of the most powerful alliance Orario had ever seen. Tiona would be her second favorite child from now on, no one will ever displace her Sword Princess, and that would continue for as long as Tiona decided to say in the Loki Familia.
*POWER OF ODIN*
The spear went a foot into the dirt and the runes glowed brightly. The ground cracked around Bell and it sent a shockwave from where he was standing.
Elmina managed to get out of range of the blast knowing it was coming, but Tiona caught the end of it. She still managed to land on her feet with her weapon at the ready, but she stopped and stared when she saw Bell.
Only those from the Odin Familia weren't awed at the fact Bell was much bigger. He looked to have gained 100 pounds of muscle, but he also grew about two feet so he still had the same build.
He was standing in a crater about a foot deep, and it startled Tiona when his eyes suddenly flashed to her. They were pure white until right before he moved. They turned right back to that ruby color she loved, but he was coming at her fast.
She twirled her Urga with a smile on her face and launched herself right at him. She brought it down with all her might and Bell met her Urga with his spear.
When they connected, a blast of force shot out centered on them and each weapon stopped dead in its tracks. The noise from the collision nearly blew out everyone's ears with how loud it was.
Tiona spun her weapon to attack from the side hoping to catch Bell off guard. He met her Urga faster than she could get it there, but it looked as if the distraction still worked.
Elmina's dagger was coming straight from behind Bell and Tiona was smirking thinking they would get the first hit in. That all changed when Bell sidestepped toward Tiona and brought the butt end of his spear up to parrying both of Elmina's daggers.
Tiona switched her spin and tried to come at Bell from the other side just above Elmina's head, but it wasn't to be. Tiona watched Bell spin and duck before she felt something impact her chest and send her flying.
Bell had ducked under both of their counter attacks and realized one needed to be away from him. He'd had no problem one-on-one, but both of them at the same time could mean them scoring a hit first with their speed, power, and finesse combination.
He kicked Tiona right in the chest to make some room and turned his attention to Elmina. He had sparred against her plenty of times, but he knew she would never reveal all her secrets to him. He was looking forward to this and went on the attack immediately.
Elmina danced with him as she always did. She was a combination of dodges and perfect parries. Each one was meant to bring you off balance and none could do the Dance of Death quite like his Vice-Captain.
Bell went high, low, low, mid, low, high, it didn't matter. He couldn't connect on Elmina. It was true he wasn't going all out, but he wasn't going easy on her either. Right as he thrust his spear forward and she parried, Bell jumped back and flipped over the rushing Tiona.
Bell had slammed the spear tip down in the ground when Tiona slid to a stop right next to Elmina. That stupid grin was still on his face, it might actually look even stupider now that they started their duel.
"Good start. Now..." Bell leaves the spear in the ground and grabs both of his longswords. "Let's kick this up a notch, shall we?"
Tiona and Elmina both nodded with a smile at him, and they all sprung right at each other. Elmina was in front of Tiona and Bell wondered what they were up to, but not for long.
Elmina stopped mid-sprint and crouched. Tiona jump on her shoulders and Elmina stood when Tiona jumped sending her high up into the air.
*SHADOW RUSH*
Bell thought Tiona was a sitting duck until he realized what Elmina did. Six shadow clones of Elmina sprung up from the ground and all attacked Bell along with Elmina herself. Bell needed every ounce of speed he could to parry the blows.
Bell used both his weapons and his agility to parry and dodge the incoming dagger blows from Elmina and her shadows. Bell had just taken out his third shadow when he had to roll backward and avoid Tiona coming straight down on him with her Urga.
The force of her coming from so high left a small crater in the ground and Bell used it to his advantage. When Bell's feet touched the slightly inclined ground, he dove straight at them instead of standing back up and caught them all off guard.
He sliced through the last three shadows making them disappear before his longswords contacted Elmina's daggers and knocked them out of her hands. Elmina didn't get to process what had happened before she felt an impact in her chest and was sent flying back into the wall.
Bell had sliced through the shadows, disarmed Elmina, and planted both his longswords in the ground. He used the impaled weapons as leverage and swung his body around to kick Elmina right in the chest sending her flying.
As soon as Bell's feet touched the ground again, he sprung toward Tiona and pulled out his two curved daggers. They looked exactly like Elmina's but did not possess the individual finger slots and spikes coming off the end of them.

He could only stare until she disappeared around the corner. That was when he snapped out of his stupor, caught up, took her hand, and followed the rest of the party to the Loki Familia home.
There wasn't a person they didn't pass on their journey that didn't stare at them. He could feel Freya staring at him as well from the top of Babel.
Bell wondered if Lord Odin and Lady Frigg would inform the other Gods of his touch of divinity. Freya would probably stop using her gaze if she knew he could sense it.
He was happy to see more than just the two guards awaiting them at the front gate. Loki, Finn, Lady Riveria, and Tiona also happened to be standing there. He saw his Amazon light up and start nearly bouncing around when she saw him.
Bell was very proud of Tiona. She managed to contain herself until he was about five steps away from the Twilight Manor's front gate before she gave in. She sprinted to him, jumped into his unoccupied side, wrapped herself around him as best she could, and kissed him.
Bell was even more grateful Elmina didn't let go of him when Tiona jumped on him. "I apologize, Lord Odin, Lady Frigg. I-"
"Think nothing of it, dear." Lady Frigg waved off her apology with a smile. "We have been eager to see our son finally with a mate. You have done much more than just become that, my dear. A little outburst here and there can be overlooked."
"Thank you, Lady Frigg, Lord Odin."
Tiona was going to continue, but Loki came walking up beside her.
"Told ya this one was a handful. You sure you still want to go through with this?"
Bell was a little confused. He knew he was here to evaluate if the Sword Princess could actually be useful to him in defeating the One-Eyed Black Dragon, but he's not sure what that had to do with his God and Goddess putting up with Tiona's outbursts.
"We are. Have you spoken with Tiona about it?"
Loki nodded her head, and Bell watched completely confused as Tiona's smile grow even brighter.
"I'd be honored to join the Odin Familia, Lord Odin, Lady Frigg."
"What?!"
While Bell was happy at that revelation, he couldn't contain his surprise. They had formed an alliance based on his and Tiona's relationship with the Loki Familia, but he had never heard any mention of her joining the Odin Familia. Lord Odin explained to Bell, or at least, confirmed it was somewhat true.
"It is conditional, Bell. First let us have you spar with the Sword Princess before we speak more on it, hmm?"
"As you wish, Lord Odin."
Bell was happy they were led back to the training ground, and because he now had Elmina on one arm and Tiona on the other. However, he couldn't enjoy it fully as he was still letting the information process that Tiona might soon be in the Odin Familia.
When they made it to the training grounds, it looked as if most of the Loki Familia was out here to watch. Bell planned on disappointing them to start. He had no intention of sparring the Sword Princess this second.
Bell requested Lady Loki have her spar Bête at first. He watched her against him and wasn't surprised by anything he saw. He knew she'd win, and he also confirmed she'd never had any formal weapons training, she looked completely self-taught.
Then he had her spar against Tione. It was the same story again when Ais sparred his beautiful Amazon's sister. Tione fought very similar to Bête, but she also used weapons. He noticed Ais did nothing to adjust to fighting someone with weapons instead of unarmed.
When Ais defeated Tione, Bell asked Tiona if she'd spar against her. She agreed happily. Elmina looked upset at him, and she only waited until Tiona neared Ais to voice her displeasure.
"Why don't you allow me to spar her?"

Bell looked away from Tiona and Ais sparring. It looked like Tiona was fairing much better than Bête or Tione did. He looked down at his Vice-Captain attached to his side and the smirk never left his lips.
"First, I know you'd defeat her and I do not wish for any in the Loki Familia to know that. And second... I already have to deal with every man looking at you when you are near them. I'd hate to have to put up with them when they all realize my beautiful Vice-Captain is stronger than their famous Sword Princess."
Elmina wished her fingers were running over much less than Bell's armor right now. The smile his words brought didn't leave her face as they both turned to see Tiona and Ais come to a draw.
Tiona had her Urga stopped right at Ais's side while Ais's rapier was next to her throat. Bell had seen enough and let Ais take a break for a little to recover. It was finally time to see if what he observed to be true. He hoped it wasn't, but it looked like it was to him.
When he took up his spot across from the Sword Princess, he saw nothing but focus from her. That was a very good thing, but it wasn't what he was looking for in her. She didn't seem to realize they started since he didn't draw a weapon so he attacked her with his bare hands.
Ais did well to dodge his attacks and counter his moves. He knew she'd never touch him though. Not only was he much faster than she, but he could see for himself that he was right. She hadn't had any formal training. She was almost completely self-taught and she'd never stand a chance against him.

She had gotten fast enough that anyone below Level 6 had trouble keeping up and none below Level 5 could see much of her weapon moving at all. Bell still hadn't need to increase his speed past Level 6 to dodge all of her attacks. He wanted to see what she could really do.
"Is this all the famous Sword Princess can muster?"
Ais sped up again and Bell continued to dodge. It wasn't until he landed a blow to her stomach that he saw her change. Anger took over her features, and he could tell she was on the brink of exploding.

Bell watched as a light green aura surrounded Ais and she sped up considerably. Bell had to take his speed up to Level 7 to dodge all the Sword Princess's attacks now. This was precisely what he wanted to see from her.

"You should give up now. You'll do nothing but get the both of you killed."
Bell saw the Sword Princess stop immediately, but it didn't last long. The anger in her eyes went to another level. He could see the rage there now, not anger. What she did next cemented in Bell's mind that there was nothing he could do for this girl.

Nearly everyone in the Loki Familia gasped, especially Loki, Finn, Riveria, and Ais's closest friends. They all knew Ais didn't like to use Ariel against people, but here she was using her Ariel Avenger against, not only another person but against a Level 8.

They could all see him shaking his head, and noticed he didn't even bother to check on Ais. He walked straight over to Lord Odin, Lady Frigg, and Lady Loki. There were many more around the three Gods, but they were the only ones he cared to talk to.
Most of the Loki Familia members glared at him, but he paid them no mind. He'd wipe out this entire Familia if they tried anything against him or his family. He stopped in front of the Gods and gave Lord Odin his honest assessment.
"I believe I can refine her swordsmanship as she obviously never had a formal teacher, but I believe Sidris would be better suited for that task. There is nothing I can do about helping her get stronger."
"Are you sure, Bell?"
Bell wished he had better news for his Lord, but that girl was beyond his help at the moment.
"Right now, there is absolutely nothing I can do to help her. Perhaps in-"
"They said you could make anyone stronger! If you can't make Ais stronger, Tiona isn't going anywhere!"
Bell wanted to continue, but Loki seemed a bit upset he couldn't make her Sword Princess stronger. Then there was the fact Bell had no idea her getting stronger was what was allowing Tiona to switch Familias.
"I had no idea about Tiona leaving, and did not realize it was tied to this. I would offer to train any other of your adventurers, but I'm not going to do that now. It isn't my fault I can't help your precious Sword Princess. It's yours!"

Loki certainly didn't expect that, but he only directed it to her for a bit before looking at the other executives.
"You let her hate fester for so long it is all she can feel. Hate can motivate, and rage can give you strength, but it can only take you so far. If she stays away from the One-Eyed Black Dragon and lives her life here in Orario, one day she'll reach Level 7, but she'll never go beyond that."
Loki looked happy then incredibly sad in the span of a second.
"Her motivation is all wrong, and I can't really fault her for that. None of you have tried to help her other than throwing her in a dungeon and making sure she survived. You do realize she was a child, right? She experienced an immense trauma and your solution was to throw monsters at her in hopes she'd get strong enough to rescue her mother."
Bell shook his head wondering what they were thinking. Even if Ais was a half spirit, she was still a child. It didn't matter if she was a powerful child, she was still just a child.
"I had a destiny I didn't ask for thrust upon me. However, I wasn't just handed a sword and told to go get stronger. I was taught what it meant to be a hero, what it was to be a part of a family, and what it felt like to be loved."
Bell only had to look to his Familia members standing around with his God and Goddess to give the words to get these people to understand without revealing too much.
"I would give my life for any person in Asgard. Whether it be my King and Queen, my Vice-Captain, my mentor, or the lowest dock worker. I would do that because I know they would do the same for me and I love them for it. You do not need a Falna to be a member of this Familia because we are not a Familia. We are a family."
Bell made sure to smile at everyone before turning right to Loki.
"We do what we do out of love, and until she can realize that, there is no helping her. Only those that she feels a connection with can help her achieve that. I might be strong, but I am a stranger to her. Until then, she is a liability to me. Tell her to stay in Orario, and I'll get her mother back to her."
Bell didn't say anything else. He stepped toward Elmina but saw Lord Odin say something to Loki before he started leaving. Bell just went with it and left with them. He was a little sad Tiona didn't come, but he still had his night to look forward to with Elmina.
