"Hope's Peak Academy." Tomura noted as the Dark Knights and Dr. Ujiko showed him details about the esteemed Hero School. "A school dedicated to not just training Heroes but also nurturing natural talents unrelated to Quirks. You think the perfect candidate to gain All For One's Quirk is here?"

Dr. Ujiko nodded. "Yes, Sensei had a few connections there some time ago. We will surely be able to pick someone with the right potential."

"The Steering Committee has been working on something called the 'Kamakura Project'. They are hoping to create what they believe will be 'The Ultimate Hope'." Murder Machine noted, going over the files.

"Our brother had been helping in back the project but with him gone, they've run into a snag." Drowned explained. "And it seems that recent developments will further jeopardize the Steering Committee's plans."

Tomura smirked. "Well, we should probably do something to help those old geezers..."

The four men who made up Hope's Peak Academy's Steering Committee were grimacing. Here in front of them was a man who claimed to be the descendant of the school's founder, Izuru Kamakura, and he had the genealogical research to prove it. Even trying to point out that his last name was different was futile, since it turned out his mother's maiden name was Kamakura.

The man in question, Shanks Midoriya, smiled at the frustration of the old men. Accompanying him were Toshinori, Tsunade, Nedzu, and Rayleigh.

"Gentlemen, I assure you that with Hope's Peak Academy's new education division that I'm installing, the students of this school will find themselves reaching new heights." Shanks said. "That said, a lot of your precious research will have to be put on hold. This 'Kamakura Project', for example. Not only does it disrespect my great-great-grandfather's name, but the idea is flawed from the beginning."

Toshinori and Tsunade nodded in agreement. It also didn't help that the whole Kamakura Project in general reeked of one of All For One's contingency plots.

"Now I'm not saying the idea of stuffing the various talents of every student here is impossible. The human brain is designed to hold vast amounts of information. But that very reasoning I gave is also why erasing the original personality and memories is both unneeded and unwise." Nedzu pointed out. "To quote Patrick Stuart, the human mind is not a box that can be simply unlocked and opened, it's a beehive with a million pathways."

The Steering Committee looked shocked as several of Nedzu and Toshinori's lawyers finished up the paperwork.

"Gentlemen, I fully intend to return this academy to what it was meant to be. Fostering talent is a good thing, but it must be tempered with traditional education or these children will have no room to truly grow." Shanks said. "Now if you don't mind, my new committee is due to arrive soon."

"Good day to you, gentlemen. Hopefully Hope's Peak will be able to also form unions with our esteemed UA as well as Shiketsu and Ketsubetsu." Nedzu smiled pleasantly as he, Toshinori, Rayleigh, and Tsunade followed after Shanks.

"They ain't gonna take this lying down." Rayleigh pointed out after they left.

"Maybe not, but the worst they can do is try to resume their experiment elsewhere, and when they do we can crack down on them." Tsunade said.

"What do you intend to do now, Shanks?" Toshinori asked.

"The new 77th Class needs to be brought up to speed. The current headmaster, Jin Kirigiri, tells me a new teacher is joining soon." Shanks said. "This will be a good chance to get to know the school inside and out. I can't reform the school if I can't understand it."

"On top of that, if the Steering Committee tries anything, we'll need some of our best students to help provide aid in case of the worst," Toshinori added. "Which is why Young Midoriya, Bakugou, Todoroki, Toga, Shinso, Yasakani, Torekuroshi, Sakurai, Polendina, Hanekoma, Hashimoto, Santiago, and Nimona are the best candidates."

"It also helps that Inko is applying for a job here." Shanks smiled. "Wants to do more than just be a simple housewife. Guess after she married me, she started getting more bold."

"Heh, those brats of ours are gonna show their chops for sure," Rayleigh smirked. "I can't wait to see just what they bring to the table."

"In the meantime, we should check around the Reserve Course," Tsunade noted. "Who knows, there may be some hidden gems amongst those brats."

By the end of the week, Shanks had finished. He had only found one student in the Reserve Course who could qualify for the Main Course but was not tested for any talent. The reason was that taking the Reserve Course and becoming part of the Kamakura Project would net more money for his parents.

When Shanks asked why he would go that far, the young man admitted he thought his talent was a real pain. Shanks had this to say to him:

"Kid, take it from a guy who was born Quirkless. Talents and Quirks aren't too different and one of the reasons is that they shouldn't be all that defines you. Even if you think your gifts are a pain, they can still help plenty of people and you may not know how you truly feel until you learn to fully accept it."

Shanks, accompanied by Inko, was now sitting in the headmaster's office, while Jin was briefing the new teacher. Her name was Chisa Yukizome, and she was the Former Ultimate Housekeeper. Inko, being the gentle soul she was, was busy tending to Hope's Peak's chief talent scout, Koichi Kizakura, who was nursing a nasty hangover.

"So by the way, can I ask who Mister Midoriya is?" Chisa asked.

"He's the new administrator for the school, along with his wife. It turns out he's a direct descendant of the school's founder, and as such was able to use his connections to UA and All-Might to take control of the school away from the Steering Committee." Jin explained.

"You seem like quite the lovely girl, Chisa." Inko smiled after making sure Koichi was okay. "My husband and I look forward to working with you."

Chisa was now currently walking with Shanks and Inko through the halls of Hope's Peak to Class 77-B.

"Hisashi actually was part of this school, a long time ago..." Inko said wistfully. "Of course, we had no idea about his and Shank's connections to the founder back then. He was the Ultimate Firefighter."

"I'm just glad Kyosuke was able to get me this job. We've heard a lot about what the Steering Committee was trying, and we're hoping to restore the school we owe so much to." Chisa said. "Although... Only me, Kyosuke, and Juzo seem truly invested in it."

They stopped in front of a classroom with the signboard reading "1-B".

"This is it. Hope you're ready."

Chisa nodded. "Always."

She opened the door and stepped inside with a cheerful "Good morning, everyone!". Inko giggled at how excited she was while Shanks smirked, waiting outside the classroom and observing.

Chisa noticed only four students in the room. There was a young man who had his legs propped up on the desk. A redheaded girl was talking to a short blonde girl dressed in a yukata. Another blonde girl was sitting in a proper manner. It was clear from her complexion compared to the others that she was a foreigner.

"Good morning to you, ma'am," the taller blonde girl said.

"Oh dear, so few students?" Inko asked as she and Shanks came in, the latter sighing in irritation.

"I thought I made it clear in the fliers that were passed out that every student was to be present for an important announcement."

The short blonde man scoffed. This was Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, the Ultimate Yakuza. Nearby the short blonde girl, Hiyoko Saionji the Ultimate Traditional Dancer, quirked an eyebrow.

"So who are these strange people who just waltzed into our classroom."

"Can we help you three?" The redhead girl, Mahiru Koizumi the Ultimate Photographer, asked.

"My name is Shanks Midoriya. As of earlier this week, I have been appointed this school's new head administrator." Shanks said and pulled Inko close to his side. "And this is my adorable wife, Inko."

"Dear..." The plump petite woman giggled.

"And my name is Chisa Yukizome!" Chisa chimed in. "And from now on, I'll be your new homeroom teacher. Isn't that great?"

"Oh this one looks like she'll be fun to break," Hiyoko said with a deceptively innocent smile. "What do you think will go first? Her social life, her health, or her sanity?"

A wave of pure dread hit Hiyoko dead on as she recoiled in terror, her sneaky innocent facade melting into one of genuine panic and fear as Shanks glared at her, his Conqueror's Haki being focused on her specifically.

"Wanna run that by me again, brat?"

"Honey, it's okay..." Inko said gently to her husband while Chisa just chuckled.

"Don't worry, Boss. She doesn't scare me. Besides, I doubled down on health insurance before I took this job!"

"Thou aren't nothing if not formidable." Sonia Nevermind, the Ultimate Princess, chimed in. "Then again, I have heard stories of Red-Haired Shanks' crusades across the globe. It's truly thrilling to think he will be our new administrator!"

"That is some impressive Japanese, dear." Inko smiled at Sonia. "Though you might need to work on the language filter."

"What kind of bait and switch is this?" Fuyuhiko called out, "I can buy UA taking the school from those assholes in the Steering Committee, but I'm pretty sure Kizakura's supposed to be our homeroom teacher."

"He's currently nursing a bad hangover. Don't worry, he'll be fine, I had him take some medicine earlier." Inko explained.

Fuyuhiko sighed. "Frigging lush..."

Just then, another young woman with unkempt violet hair came bursting into the room.

"Ah, sorry I'm so late! I fell down-"

She tried to enter but wound up tripping. The sight of it was bizarre, to say the least. Somehow she wound up tangled in a jump rope that had fallen out of her bag, tying her up in a rather erotic manner. As if that weren't bizarre enough, one of her shoes and socks had also somehow gotten knocked off.

"Oh my!" Inko gasped, being the mother hen that she was, rushing over to help the girl out of her mess.

"Why does gravity hate me..." Mikan Tsumiki, the Ultimate Nurse, whimpered as Inko helped her to her feet.

Hiyoko scoffed. "For crap's sake, how can someone be so klutzy?!"

Inko and Chisa gave Mikan one last lookover. "It looks like you'll be alright. But it looks like the others are late too."

"Actually, this may be all you get," Sonia pointed out.

"Yeah, the academy only cares about passing the exams and developing our talents." Mahiru sighed.

Shanks shook his head. "Not anymore it doesn't. From this point onward, in addition to building your talents, you need to possess an actual education to graduate. True learning is important in this society, else even the talented will fall behind normal people by virtue of not understanding the world."

"For example; Kuzuryuu-Kun's talent involves running your family's yakuza clan. To do that, he'll need to understand proper business and also criminology." Inko pointed out.

Chisa pointed at Mahiru. "In Koizumi's case, it's important to have good language and social skills, as well as be able to understand geography and weather."

"And most important of all, you brats need to come together as a class!" Shanks concluded.

"Right!" Chisa nodded, pulling out an apron from seemingly nowhere and donning it. "Anyway, the real matter here is that your fellow classmates aren't here when they should be, so it's time to go round the rotten oranges up!"

Sonia's eyes lit up. "Yes! This is exactly the sort of camaraderie I'd been hoping for when I transferred here!"

Fuyuhiko stood up, one hand on his desk. "Count me out. No one ever said I had to be friends with anyone here."

He then gasped when Shanks focused his Conqueror's Haki on him, making him almost go down to one knee before righting himself as Shanks smirked.

"Being able to resist my Haki, huh? Goes to show you have what it takes to lead your family. But you're still just a precocious brat."

"Kuzuryuu-Kun, it's important to have friends outside of your clan." Inko gently said. "And who knows, you may end up forming some genuine bonds with your classmates here."

Fuyuhiko, relaxing after Shanks turned off his Haki, could only stare at Inko incredulously before giving in.

"Fine. Geez, that aura you're giving off is like that of a frickin' Saint."

The group headed off to start searching for the other students. For some reason, they started with one of the men's restrooms, which excited Sonia to no end.

"I wonder about that woman. Every time she encounters something new she's like this." Fuyuhiko noted. "Just how different is Novoselic from the rest of the world, anyway?"

"And why are we in the can, anyway?" Hiyoko asked.

"I was sure he'd be here..." Shanks hummed, looking around.

Just then, there was a sudden rumbling and the sound of heavy breathing. A nearby bucket of water started rippling.

"It's like Jurassic Park!" Chisa exclaimed.

Things seemed to calm down. But then all at once, a massive explosion went off. Chisa quickly used her Quirk, [All-Star], which allowed her to adapt to any situation within a matter of seconds, to create a defensive barrier.

"More like Jurassic Shit!" A booming voice came out.

"Did someone set off a frickin' bomb?!" Fuyuhiko asked.

Out of the smoke came a rather large man. It was Nekomaru Nidai, the Ultimate Coach.

"Nah, just me! I had a bit of a log jam if you know what I'm saying!"

"Oh my..." Inko muttered as she looked behind Nekomaru, noticing the entire back wall was destroyed, along with the toilet and a good chunk of the campus outside.

"And all that without your Quirk. Yes, you'll definitely do fine here." Shanks chuckled.

Nekomaru laughed heartily. "Hey, when nature calls, am I right?"

"You don't have to answer with a damn megaphone!" Fuyuhiko pointed out.

The next student was located in the cafeteria. Sonia started ringing a small bell.

"May I please speak with the chef?"

Rushing out of the kitchen was a short, stout young man wearing a chef's uniform. This was Teruteru Hanamura, the Ultimate Chef.

"Right away, my delectable hors d'oeuvre. What can I do to tame your hunger?"

Sonia put a finger to her chin. "Well, I'd like to try some sort of meat dish."

"Oh, really?" Teruteru said, "Would you prefer it tender? Or rock hard as granite~?"

Suddenly, a frying pan slammed onto his head, sending him comically faceplanting into the ground, courtesy of Inko using her [Attraction] Quirk to fling it from behind him.

"You should really filter your language, young man. It won't do you any good socially."

"Ah, forgive me, Mama!" Teruteru cried, bowing to Inko. "I have been so very naughty!"

"Is it always like this with him?" Shanks asked Mahiru.

"I'm afraid so."

"If I had to say one nice thing about him, at least his food is ultimate quality. It's too bad he spends as much time thinking with sausage as he does cooking it." Hiyoko snarked.

As it happened, Chisa had a reason for going after Nekomaru and Teruteru first, as she needed both of their skills to bring in the next student, a fiery and physically fit young woman named Akane Owari, the Ultimate Gymnast.

Akane was currently doing a morning run, using the power of her Quirk, [Kinetic Absorption], to make the most of it. The Quirk allowed her to absorb kinetic energy and use it in any way she saw fit, such as enhancing her physical capabilities, transferring the energy to others, or projecting powerful energy blasts.

She reached the top of the academy in one bound and felt the wind on her skin.

"Man, the breeze up here feels great today." She smiled before suddenly picking something up with her sensitive nose. "Wait...I know that smell..."

With a wild grin, she leaped down to the ground, a trail of drool coming out of her mouth.

"MEAT! GLORIOUS MEAT!"

Sure enough, Teruteru had cooked up a huge meat on the bone that was still on the rotisserie.

"I think she took the bait!"

"I got this!" Nekomaru said as he stepped forward, using his Quirk, [Tesla].

The Quirk's power allowed him to turn his body into metal and also project electricity like a Tesla Coil. In a way, he was like the fusion of Tetsutetsu and Denki.

Massive explosions and bolts of lightning echoed across campus. When Akane woke up, she realized that had been crucified via binding rope.

"I'm gonna kick your asses so hard for this!"

"Was this really necessary?" Teruteru asked.

"Can you think of any other way to keep Akane from running off again?" Nekomaru pointed out.

Inko giggled. "Sounds like you two have some history together."

"I helped coach her during a big gym tournament one time. We've been in touch ever since!"

After getting Akane to calm down, the group headed for the middle of the campus, where they spotted a large engine being built. Working on it was a young man with hot pink hair and sharpened teeth. He was Kazuichi Soda, the Ultimate Mechanic.

"Kazuichi Soda, I presume?" Shanks asked.

"Yeah, what do you want?" Kazuichi asked as he got up and turned around, only to smile when he realized Sonia was standing at the base of the engine.

"My angel has arrived!" He leapt down. "What a surprise. I didn't expect you to come see me."

"Uh...right." Sonia awkwardly said. His attraction to her was obvious, and she couldn't deny that she was flattered. But his reaction to her was no different than the people of her country, and she was honestly getting sick of that.

"Down, boy." Shanks said, chopping Kazuichi's head. "We're here to pick you up for class."

"Huh?" Kazuichi asked, confused for a moment before perking up. "Oh right. I got so caught up in my project I didn't realize what time it was."

"I think you also need a real bath," Chisa said, wearing a gas mask, startling the mechanic.

"Proper hygiene is crucial." Inko reprimanded. "Now come with me, young man."

"This is the animal shed?" Inko asked, looking at the gothic altar surrounded by statues of winged hamsters. "It looks like something Izuku's friend Tokoyami would like."

"A little different than what I remember," Chisa noted.

"You have Gundham to thank for that. Guy's obsessed with being all dark and bombastic." Kazuichi noted.

Just then, a fit of evil laughter was heard from the top of a large shrine.

"Such courageous yet foolish actions, to speak the name of the Forbidden One so casually!"

Sure enough, the person who made his presence known was Gundham Tanaka, the Ultimate Breeder.

"This kid I like." Shanks smirked.

The next student was inside the music room. Her name was Ibuki Mioda, the Ultimate Musician. She was rocking out her latest hit single on her prized electric guitar, which had a low-level flamethrower attachment that she used on the barbecue in the room. Once she was done shredding, she noticed the other students had shown up. Most were holding their ears from the loud music, but Akane was too busy drooling over the food while Hiyoko actually seemed to enjoy the music.

"Whoa, didn't know I was playing for a crowd."

"I must say, that was certainly an exuberant performance." Inko noted.

Shanks chuckled. "I wonder who else we have."

As it happened, the next student was Peko Pekoyama, the Ultimate Swordswoman. She was just sitting in meditation when she sensed something behind and struck with her bokken, stopping inches away from hitting Shanks behind her.

"Good arm on ya, kid. But class is starting soon and we'd be sad to miss you."

"Red-Haired Shanks..." Peko silently gasped in awe before bowing. "Apologies, I meant no disrespect. I so easily lose track of the time."

"We know your job's important, but you do need to go to class." Chisa said.

Fuyuhiko looked surprised. Not many in the school knew about him and Peko having a history together.

"We read up on your backgrounds. But don't worry, your secrets are safe with us." Inko smiled reassuringly.

Fuyuhiko sighed. "Maybe someone like her and Yukizome-Sensei will help Peko become her own person."

"Only three more left!" Chisa said excitedly. "Just think of all the growth we'll experience together as a class!"

"Four, actually, a recent addition was made to the class." Shanks pointed out.

Hiyoko grumbled. "This sucks. I'm perfect as is."

"Part of me is growing right now," Teruteru smirked as he leaned beside Hiyoko, only to get blindsided when Shanks swiped his sword, sending out a shockwave of Conqueror's Haki that sent the chef flying away and shocking everyone else.

"He really is as strong as the legends say..." Peko whispered in surprise.

"Do we really have to get this guy?" Kazuichi asked in annoyance. "Whenever he's around my day goes south."

Just then, a large truck came barreling in right on top of Kazuichi. Before it could hit him, Shanks tapped the hilt of his sheathed sword on the ground, creating a shockwave that made the truck swerve away before landing cabin-first onto a drink machine, causing dozens of soda cans to come pouring out at the feet of a young man with white hair.

"Wow, looks like my luck is still good."

The man in question was Nagito Komaeda, the Ultimate Luckster. Shanks, Chisa, and Inko made their way over to him, Chisa picking up one of the soda cans and handing it to the boy.

"Hi there."

The group soon returned to the classroom, where Nagito was laughing.

"So you actually went out of your way to help a talentless nobody like me? What a wonderful teacher you are."

"You're not a nobody, even if you're technically here via lottery." Shanks pointed out. "You have a lot of potential inside you that isn't just relegated to your bizarre luck."

"Do we have to keep running around like this?" Hiyoko whined. "My legs feel like they're about to fall off."

"If you're feeling tired, I can use my Quirk to help," Mikan said, referring to her Quirk, [Medic], which granted her a myriad of healing abilities.

"That won't be necessary, Tsumiki." Chisa said as she checked the dust on the window sill. "Instead I want you to get to work cleaning this dusty homeroom. Me and Kakyoin will find the remaining three students."

"I'll stick with you all if you wish. I don't want any funny business now, okay?" Inko said, her hands on her hips.

"Yes, MOM." Fuyuhiko sarcastically groaned, only for Inko to just give him a smirk, since she was already a mother.

Inside the student dorms, a large chubby young man was eating piles of junk food and drawing a sketch. Just then, he heard a knock on the door.

"Ryota Mitarai! It's time for class!"

"I'm sorry! I'll be done in... Like, five or six more pages!" The boy panicked.

"No excuses."

The boy yelped when he saw Chisa outside the window, immediately jumping in and putting him in an arm bar so he didn't try to escape. Shanks chuckled as he came in, holding another young man by the scruff of his collar who looked like the chubby boy, only more skinny and sickly-looking.

"Sorry, Ryota..." The chubby boy sighed apologetically.

Ryota Mitari, the Ultimate Animator, only nodded his head. "It's okay, Mayuri."

Mayuri Oshida, the Ultimate Imposter, was helped to his feet by Chisa after letting him go while Shanks put down Ryota.

"Nice Quirk. Not like Himiko Toga but still pretty interesting."

Mayuri nodded. "My Quirk, [Imposter], allows me to mimic anyone I know about. Anyone in my presence ignores my obvious girth, making them think I'm whoever I'm mimicking. However, I cannot copy people's Quirks."

"I think I know where we can find the other students," Shanks said, already using his Observation Haki to pinpoint who they needed to find next.

Sure enough, the two found a boy and a girl sitting by the fountain bridging the Main Course and Reserve Course campuses.

"Hajime Hinata and Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Counselor and Ultimate Gamer, I assume?" Shanks smiled as he and Chisa came over.

"Out on a date, you two?" Chisa asked playfully.

Chiaki shrugged. "Pretty much. We bonded over a game we both know."

"Well, methinks it's time you two lovebirds joined the rest of your class." Shanks chuckled.

With the entire classroom gathered, Shanks took the podium to address them.

"As you have been told, in order to graduate you only need to develop your talents and pass the exams. Well, I'm here to tell you there's been a change in plans. This school has a reputation for not just churning out talented heroes but also making sure they have the talents that'll set them for life. But such a guarantee cannot be built on talent alone. Focusing on just your talent will only limit your options for the future and your capabilities as heroes. Therefore, in addition to the practical exam, you will also need to pass the written exam. And that means actually learning what normal students learn. Even the best of the best need to understand the basics."

"Ah, there's one more thing. Since each class will be spending their normal homeroom with each other, something will be needed to improve group cohesion." Inko said. "So each class was randomly assigned a different extracurricular activity."

"On top of that, you will also be getting to learn from some students from a different school who have been in the thick of it since their school year began!" Chisa smiled. "Come on out, kids!"

The students of Class 77-B were shocked to see Izuku, Katsuki, Shoto, Hitoshi, Himiko, Hilda, Ben, Kirby, Penny, Nia, Mipha, Rebecca, and Nimona step in.

"Well howdy-doo, zygotes!" Ben smirked. "This is where the fun begins!"

This will be an Arc based on mtnetsurfer's JoJo New Universe story, specifically the JoJolion Arc. However, the Hope's Peak gang will be tackling different challenges compared to that story due to being in the BNHA Universe.
