Disclaimer – It has come to my attention recently that I unfortunately do not own any part of Harry Potter or the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the characters that belong to those entities. One can dream I suppose. Although I did buy a ticket to Disney World one time.

Interlude 1: I've Had It With All the Motherfu…
Director Fury's POV
Nick Fury stood at the center of the new temporary bustling operations room, running his hand across his scalp in frustration, his eyes firmly fixed on the holographic displays before him, eyes skimming the reports that the analysts had been able to put together already.
Shaking his head in frustration he turned angrily to his ever-loyal second-in-command, Maria Hill, who stood beside him, her expression mirroring his own intensity.
The reports they had just received were baffling. Several reports, firsthand accounts and shaky phone video footage, too many to reasonably discount, had been obtained and they all seemed to support the presence of someone who had abilities which even he had been bound to accept were magical … or some form of incredibly advanced science that stumped all the specialists that had been consulted. This individual seemingly appeared out of thin air right at the start of the fight and was fighting by the Avengers in several instances during the Battle of New York, and then had been at least as active since then, popping up repeatedly, helping those affected during the aftermath.
Yet unfortunately, to this point they had not been able to get a clear image of the individual and the partial images they had combined so far had as of yet found no matches anywhere in any of the databases they had access to. As a result, they had no idea who this was.
Fury turned away from Hill and the screens and begun pacing back and forth, his mind racing with even more questions than he had had earlier.
They hadn't even begun to fully deal with the entire situation of the battle and now this popped up as well …
He paused again looking out the window, shaking his head. "I've had it with all these motherf ..."
Hill interrupted him, her brow furrowed in concern. "Sir," she began directly, " are you frustrated by the fact that we cant control this … magic user?" She asked having come to the same conclusion that he had.
Fury stopped his pacing abruptly, turning to face her with just the hint of a smile on his face. "Control?" he echoed, shaking his head as he let out a forced laugh. "You think we have any ability to control or order around the Hulk … or Thor … or even I seriously doubt how much influence I have over Tony Stark. No this isn't about control, but at least we know about them. Agent Hill, I'm more frustrated by the fact that something of this magnitude apparently slipped under our radar entirely and we had absolutely no knowledge of this person. How did we not know anything about him … how did we miss this?"
Before Hill could respond, the shrill sound of an alarm pierced the relative silence of the office, causing both of them to snap their attention to an alert icon which had popped up. Fury took a couple strides back towards the projection, his eyes scanning the incoming data as he enlarged the report.
"What's going on?" Hill asked, stepping up beside him.
"It looks like there's an incident occurring at Momentum Labs," Fury replied slowly, his tone thoughtful.
"Momentum Labs …" Hill repeated, "Isn't that one of the places we had flagged recently to look into?"
Fury nodded, his expression serious, "Yes, it is. There have been some reports of unexplained things going on there …" he paused, his jaw clenched in frustration as he shook his head. "Get a team together to investigate this, maybe they can sneak in with all the confusion." He ordered his voice clipped. "See if Coulson can …" he froze, a flicker of anger and sadness quickly crossing his face before he managed to school his emotions and shake his head. "Right … never mind. See if Agent Romanoff is in any shape to look into this."
He paused to look at the screen and the reports they had been previously looking at, before looking back to Agent Hill. "Maybe after she is done with Momentum Lab, she can track down this … magic user. If anyone can, I imagine it would be her … I think according to the reports she had been in close contact with him several times during battle, including on the top of Stark Tower, right before Loki was apprehended. And besides that, I believe she was already helping the team trying to identify potential superpowered individuals who had been identified during the fight."
Hill nodded once more, before turning, already moving to carry out his orders. Fury watched her go, his mind still reeling. The appearance of what in all honesty appeared like magic … the attack on New York by a race of aliens under the command of a Norse god … and now an incident on Momentum Labs. He shook his head as he looked back to the alert, which was still being projected, unable to help but feel that this was shaping up to be a long day that unfortunately had only just started.

MJ's POV
Mary Jane Watson blew on her coffee to cool it down before taking a tentative sip, smiling at the familiar comforting taste, thankful that of all the places that had been affected during the battle, her favorite little bustling café had managed to escape mostly unscathed.
Noticing her friend enter the café, MJ waved over to the blond, who smiled and quickly made her way through the people waiting in line, her eyes widening in appreciation when she saw the second cup of coffee sitting in front of the empty chair.
"Thanks so much, MJ!" She said excitedly, taking an immediate sip of her coffee and nodding. "I really needed this. It's been a crazy couple of days since …" she paused, " … well … since we were attacked by aliens." She finished shaking her head. "I still can't believe I am saying that sentence."
MJ nodded at her friend, "Tell me about it … I still can't believe that happened. Are you doing alright? You didn't really provide any other info other than the one follow up text saying you were ok."
Gwen looked down guiltily abefore looking back up to MJ, "Sorry about that … was feeling … a little off since the attack and on top of that been trying to help my dad as much as I could …" she paused to take another sip of her coffee, before looking back to her friend. "But yup I'm ok … I had been stuck at Osborne Labs during the fight. I was actually in one of the dissection labs when everything started happening and the building lost power."
Reaching out, MJ placed a comforting hand on Gwen's arm. "I'm so glad you are alright." She paused and smiled, "I personally can't imagine anything worse than getting stuck in a dark science-y building."
Gwen laughed slightly, "It was only a moment before the back up power came back on …" she paused and held her phone up, "… and it's not like I didn't have my own personal flashlight with me." She sombered up looking out the window. "Besides there were a lot of others significanlt worse off. Like you … you were seriously in a building with aliens during the attack?!"
Nodding, MJ opened her mouth to respond, but paused noticing the bandage wrapped around her friend's hand. "What happened to your hand?" She asked.
Glancing down at the bandage, Gwen nodded slowly, her smile faltering slightly. "Oh … it's nothing," she replied dismissively, absently rubbing at the fabric. "Just a … scratch from the day. But enough about me … seriously what about you … are you ok?"
MJ nodded, a slight shiver running down her spine, remembering the attack. "It was … overwhelming." She admitted. "But we all managed to make it out of the building we were in, in one piece. Thanks to … well … I still don't know."
Gwen's eye's widened in surprise. "No way! You were saved by one of the Avengers? Oh my god! Which one?"
Laughing, MJ shook her head, "No … well maybe … but I don't think so. At least I still haven't seen his picture on the TV with the others since the fight. And trust me, I'd recognize his face … I mean those eyes alone …" she trailed off, realizing that she was staring at the wall behind her friend and playing with the stir stick in her drink. Looking back to her friend, she was greeted with the sight of a large smile.
"No way, MJ! You have a crush on him? You are crushing on the guy that saved you!"
MJ chuckled, a hint of color coming to her cheeks as she shook her head, "That is … it's not like …" she paused before smiling back to Gwen, noticing something behind her friend.
"Well speaking of crushes …" she said with a knowing smirk, "… don't look now but it's your friendly neighborhood Parker."
"Oh please," Gwen protested, her cheeks flushing pink, as she tried to prevent herself from looking around. "It's not like that, besides you are changing the conversation again."
Raising an eyebrow skeptically, MJ nodded slowly. "Sure Gwen," she teased. "Whatever you say."
Kind Regards,

Thanks to those of you out to those of you who enjoy my stories, I promise to keep updating the stories as long as you enjoy them, and a special thanks to those of you who have taken the time to leave feedback or reach out to me directly. All feedback is welcome (hopefully constructive!) Looking forward to hearing what you think!
Story Note – One of the things that I have been asked in comments and messages is what is going on in the world and how Harry's actions affect what else is going on. As such the easiest way I felt to show this was through the use of these small interlude chapters, which I am planning to release occasionally if there is a character or event I want to introduce, but unable to directly introduce them in a convenient way related to what Harry is doing at the moment. Have already had several requests about things people want to see, that have been written out. Am planning for them to usually be a little longer than this but likely a little smaller than normal chapters (depending on how much needs to be covered) ~ 2000 - 3000 words. If there is any situations or characters you think should be included send a message or leave a comment. And provide feedback on the style of these little interludes. Thanks in advance!
Story Note 2 – This chapter is the official reveal that SHIELD is now aware - ish of Harry's presence in the world.
Disclaimer 2 – This story will be inspired by the Earth 199999 (AKA – the Earth from the MCU movies, shows, … ) but not exactly the same, specific changes being highlighted in story notes when they appear. Think of it more as Earth 199999.1.
