Well hello! Here is a new chapter of The Forest's Princess-fanfiction. See you in the next chapter.

"Mom, why does everyone call me princess?" Clarice asked as she walked with her mother in the woods.

It had been about a month since Clarice had met Flower for the first time.

The weather was sunny now.

"Well, you are a princess in a certain sense", Tinker Bell said.

"Really?" Clarice asked, even though she knew it was because of her father. "Mom, where are we going?"

"I am taking you to the meadow", Tinker Bell said.

"What is that meadow?" Clarice asked. Actually, he knew what the meadow was, and that today he would officially meet his father for the first time.

"Meadow is a really beautiful place", Tinker Bell said.

"You know what, mom? There are deer in our forest other than us", Clarice said.

"Where did you hear that?" Tinker Bell asked.

"Thumper told me that before", Clarice said.

"Well he's right. There are many deer in the forest", Tinker Bell said.

"Then why haven't I seen any other deer?" Clarice asked.

"You weren't big big enough", Tinker Bell said.

"Will I see any other deer at some point?" Clarice asked.

"Perhaps", Tinker Bell said.

"What do the other deer look like?" Clarice asked.

"The adult male-deer have antlers, and adults female-deer look like me, but the eyes, are different as my eyes, well as their voices, and the young deer's fawn's appearance is similar are like you with. Your age deer's fawn turkey has spots, on their antlers, and a few young male-deer who are getting older have changed so that they have their antlers coming out, and their specks are disappearing from their fur", Tinker Bell said.

"Does growing horns hurt?" Clarice asked.

Clarice stopped after walking behind her aunt for a while, and then looked around until Clarice saw her father standing on a mountain, looking at Tinker Bell, and Clarice:

"Mom, have you ever had the feeling that someone is watching you somewhere far away?"

When Clarice glanced at the rock again, The Great Prince was not there.

"Did dad see me looking at him earlier?" Clarice thought.

Tinker Bell stopped, and then looked at Clarice:

"It's true that I feel that way sometimes, and I think I know why".

Clarice walked next to Tinker Bell:

"Right? But what about my recent question about growing horns hurting?"

"Well, they male-deer say it can be a bit painful. From what I've heard, it tickles even those male-deer get horns", Tinker Bell said.

"Are there other deer in the meadow today beside us?" Clarice asked.

"Maybe. Quiet now. We're near the meadow", Tinker Bell stopped at the edge of the forest.

Clarice stopped next to Tinker Bell, and then looked at the meadow, sitting down on the ground:

"The meadow looks really big, and the grass in the meadow is really long. It would probably be good to hide in the grass of the meadow for that long, considering that the grass in the meadow is longer than me, mother".

"Stay here, I will call you when it's safe", Tinker Bell said.

"Is there something scary in the meadow?" Clarice asked. Actually, he knew the reason to stay safe, but he couldn't say it now.

"It might be dangerous in the meadow. As a your mother it's my duty to protect you, and that I love you my Clarice", Tinker Bell said.

"Thanks. Did your mother ever say that?" Clarice asked. "Be careful too, mother".

"Yes", Tinker Bell said. "Yes, I will be careful".

Tinker Bell walked at a slow pace like a female-deer should an looked around then bird-flock flying away landing in the meadow, then nothing was heard:

"You can come on out, Clarice. It's alright".

Clarice ran to the meadow, and then started eating grass. After finishing eating, Clarice looked at the meadow:

"The meadow is really big, mother".

"I know", Tinker Bell said.

"Morning, little princess", Thumper's mother said as they family members ate the clover.

"Morning. What are you eating?" Clarice asked as the sun rose.

"Clover! It's really good!" Thumper's little sisters said.

"It's downright delicious. Taste it too", Thumper said as Clarice walked over to Thumper's side. "It's delicious, so why not try it?"

Clarice ate some clover, and after she finished eating, Clarice looked at Thumper.

"No, not that green stalk. It tastes awful!" Thumper tried to eat a clover flower. "No no. That green stuff doesn't just eat flowers, it's good stuff".

"Thumper!" Thumper's mother said causing Thumper to look at his mother.

"So, mom?" Thumper asked.

"What has your father told you?" Thumper's mother asked.

"So what?" Thumper asked.

"For eating the flowers, and leaving the stems", Thumper's mother said.

"When you eat the stems of the flowers short, the ears grow long, and the feet big", Thumper said, and then whispered to Clarice:

"But it still tastes awful. I'll make that last cookie myself".

Clarice smiled, and walked across the meadow until she saw another blue-eyed fawn's looking at a frog hopping into the long grass. Then that fawn saw Clarice.

"Faline!" Clarice thought as she recognized the fawan's in question.

Faline started running towards Clarice, and startled Clarice, who ran behind Tinker Bell's front legs while Faline followed:

"Mommy!"

"Heh heh!" Faline laughed.

"There is little Faline. Her mother, Ena, is my friend", Tinker Bell said, looking at Clarice.

"The princess is quite shy, isn't she, mother?" Faline asked her mother, looking at Clarice, and then at Ena.

"Maybe he wouldn't be shy if you hadn't startled him, and if you said hello to him?" Red-eyes Ena said to her daughter.

"Hello, Clarice", Faline said, walking in front of Tinker Bell with a smile.

"Hi", Clarice said finally.

"Clarice looks a lot like you when you were Clarice's age, Tinker Bell", The Green-eyed deer said coming to the scene with 2 fawns.

"I know, Mena. Clarice, this is my other friend Mena. Mena and I grew up together. And there's Mena's daughter, Flora(oc), and Mena's son, Adrien(oc)", Tinker Bell said to Clarice after looking at the fawn with Mena.

"Hi", Clarice said.

"Hi", Flora said.

"Hey", Adrien said, hiding behind Mena's legs.

"Adrien is a bit shy, princess. Adrien, and Flora's father was really shy when he was a fawns", Mena said with a smile.

"Alright. See you Adrien. Oh! By the way Adrien, Faline, Flora, Would you like to be my friends?" Clarice asked Faline, and Flora, and Adrien.

"Mena is nice, so I can try to make friends with her fawn's", Clarice thought.

"Yes!" Faline, and Flora said.

Adrien nodded but still stayed close to his mother.

"Great", Clarice smiled, and then ran with Flora, and Faline through the meadow until they saw some two-male-deer fighting each others with their antlers.

Clarice and her new friends followed the deer they saw, and imitated their running until they stopped like a big deer in the meadow, completely silent.

Clarice looked at the other deer who were standing still, looking ahead. When Clarice turned her gaze forward, she saw The Great Prince of the Forest walking majestically into the meadow.

Clarice, like the others deer, looked at The Grand Prince, unable to move.

"Father!" Clarice thought in disbelief as she felt cold colors move all over her body while Clarice was unable to speak.

Then The Great Prince stopped, and looked at Clarice standing on his right, as a result of which Clarice felt as if The Grand Prince's gaze had pierced Clarice's entire body, observing her every move.

Clarice smiled a little.

The Great Prince turned his ears towards Clarice, then looked ahead, and then continued to walk forward.

Everyone was still watching The Great Prince walk while Tinker Bell walked next to Clarice looking at The Great Prince.

"He stopped and looked at me", Clarice told her mother.

"Yes. I know", Tinker Bell said.

"Why was everyone so quiet when he came to the meadow?" Clarice asked as the Great Prince walked into the forest on the opposite side of the meadow.

"Everyone respects him, for none of the deer in our forest have lived half as old as he has. He is very brave, and very wise. That is why he is called The Great Prince of the Forest. He is even your father, Clarice", Tinker Bell said looking at her daughter, and then to his spouse.

"Mom, when I grow up I'll be just like you, and dad", Clarice promised her mother.

Tinker Bell chuckles.

"Did I say something funny?" Clarice asked.

"Not really", Tinker Bell said. "It's not that. I am sure you achieve that. You remind me of my mate, except he's not very good at social interaction with other deer".

"I see. I've seen father a couple of times before even before the recent encounter. He's always been standing on the mountain watching us at those times", Clarice said. "Mother, I promise I will be the best princess our forest has ever seen".

"I believe in you Clarice", Tinker Bell said.

"Mommy, what are those deer doing?" Clarice asked after seeing two some male-deer fighting against each other with their antlers.

"In this case their doing this to use their antlers for matches against other males to win the territory with the best does for mating. The males need to choose their matches wisely. If they choose an opponent that is too strong, the consequences, and those battles can greatly impair their health, or even lead to death", Tinker Bell said.

"Did you ever see dad do that?" Clarice asked.

"Once", Tinker Bell said.

"When did it happen?" Clarice asked.

"You're still too young to hear about it", Tinker Bell said.

The Great Prince of the Forest walked up the slope near the meadow, and looked at the meadow where he had just met his daughter, and then continued walking until he stopped.

Crack crack! The sound of the Crows caught The Great Prince's attention, and he looked at the many Crows flying there against the sky, and he knew immediately what was going on. Without a moment's hesitation, the prince ran to the meadow to warn the animals there by stamping his front foot on the meadow, causing the animals to look at the prince, and then began to run away from the meadow with the prince.

"Flora! Adrien!" Mena shouted, running to the meadow, and her daughter, and her son then ran away from the meadow with their mother.

"Faline!" Ena shouted running to the meadow, and Faline ran away from the meadow with her mother.

"Mom!" Clarice screamed, knowing what was going on, but there were so many animals running everywhere, that while dodging, Clarice had lost her way from Tinker Bell.

"Clarice! Clarice!" Tinker Bell shouted looking for her daughter.

"Mother! Mother! Mother!" Clarice called out, looking for her mother.

Suddenly, The Great Prince ran in front of Clarice, and beckoned with his horns Clarice to follow the prince into the forest, which Clarice did right away.

Soon Tinker Bell ran to her husband, and daughter's side, and then ran with them into the forest for safety.

Bam! The gun shot now echoed in the empty meadow.

Crack crack! The Crows were still calling.

(Later)

Clarice was with her parents in a hidden bush, until Clarice, and her parents came out of the bush.

"It's safe now", Tinker Bell said after listening to the sounds of the forest for a while.

"What was going on?" Clarice asked.

"A hunter. A hunter, or more precisely, a person was in the forest", Tinker Bell said.

"Are all people bad?" Clarice asked.

"Well", The Great Prince said.

"Thank you for warning us, sir. Sir, what was that sound we heard when we escaped from the meadow earlier?" Clarice asked looking at her father.

The Great Prince looking at his daughter:

"Your welcome. It was a gun shot".

"It sounded really loud", Clarice said.

"Gun shots are very loud", The Great Prince of the forest said.

"Have you ever seen a non-evil person up close?" Clarice asked.

"A few times", The Great Prince said, walking away with Tinker Bell, and Clarice. "Clarice, keep the sound you just heard in your mind so you can be careful about that sound".

"Yes. Sir, be careful", Clarice said. For a fleeting moment, Clarice considered saying the word father, but the word stuck in Clarice's throat. He didn't want his proud father to think Clarice was weak.(I got a little inspiration for that from the Ginga Densetsu Riki-manga, whose rights I don't own.)

After arriving with her parents at her mother's cave, Clarice went to the cave, and laid down on the ground, letting her parents assume that Clarice was sleeping.

"Looking at Clarice reminds me of our own times as fawns, Gallant", Tinker Bell said, pressing her cheek against The Grand Prince's cheek.

"Then you must remember all the dangers we got into when we were fawns, Tinker Bell", Gallant said.

"Now you're talking about the dangers, to which you got us into", Tinker Bell said.(I got a little inspiration for that from the The Lion King 2-movie, whose rights I do not own.)

Gallant seemed to remember something very dangerous:

"Tinker Bell, don't forget to be careful".

Gallant walked towards the forest.

"Of course I won't forget", Tinker Bell said.

"That Hunter might come back, so I'll try to keep mom away from the meadow to protect her, and avoid going into the meadow as best I can. But what if it doesn't work out?" Clarice thought sadly about the matter, and began to weep almost invisibly:

"Well, if that happens and I live with dad in dad's cave for a while, then I'm going to prove to dad that I can take care of myself as a one-year-old fawn, and then I'll leave to dad's cave, and come back to live here in mom's cave, where taking care of myself while proving to others that I'm the most independent princess, this forest has ever seen. I was even going to be the kind of princess that no one needed to be ashamed of(Taken from Sakura Hime no kaden-manga which I don't own the rights to.) Then when it comes to finding a mate, I definitely don't choose Ronno as my mate because I hate arrogant men and arrogant boys. Before the house I lived in with my previous parents was broken into, some arrogant boys had bullied, when me for refusing to be the girlfriend of their gang's leader by telling that boy to leave me alone, and had even slapped him on the cheek, showing him that he can't treat girls like they're some kind of prize that the winner of a running race might get after winning a running race. Just the thought of being the girlfriend of such an arrogant boy is disgusting. One day I even found snails in my closet while skating at the ice rink(Taken from the Sailor Moon- anime, which I do not own the rights to). It must have been the actions of the boys I just mentioned, their revenge is me for embarrassing the leader of their gang's by abandoning him. But now I didn't want to think about arrogant people. After all, I'm even going to be a strong princess, so I need to be able to jump over big ditches and ravines, and I need to make myself and my legs strong to be able to kick hunting dogs to defend others, the inhabitants of the forest and I from hunting dogs".
