"And it was written in the covenant of Primus that when the 47 spheres align, a perpetual conflict will culminate upon a world forged from chaos. And the weak shall perish in the shadow of a rising darkness." Optimus explained as he was reading some kind of sentence on the main console's screen.
"No skies raining fire?" Arcee repeated as she, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack and Ratchet were listening.
"Shadow of a rising darkness?" Cliffjumper asked.
"Goes without saying. It is a doomed prophecy, after all." Ratchet replied.
"I say it's a load of hooey." Bulkhead said.
"I'd always assumed the ancients were referring to our home planet." Ratchet admitted. "But being that Cybertron has been dark for eons."
"And considering what befallen this planet since Megatron's arrival here." Optimus added. "Especially after meeting our Witch friends and learning of their home in an entirely different realm."
"Woah woah woah, we've known about these superstitions for ages and never gave them a second thought." Wheeljack replied.
"Why all the ominous rumblings now?" Arcee asked.
"Because the planetary alignment to which the prophecy refers is nearly upon us." Optimus answered.
"And it would seem it's endpoint… is Earth." Ratchet admitted, checking the main console for the alignment results.
"Uh… crazy coincidence." Bulkhead quipped, laughing nervously. "Right?"
"How long are we talking?" Cliffjumper questioned.
"A few days, at most." Ratchet said.
"However, unsettling this revelation may be, I am more concerned about those who might believe that the prophecy speaks to them alone." Optimus told his fellow Autobots, thinking about a certain arch-enemy of his.

Onboard the Nemesis, Megatron was currently having some personal problems of his own as Knock Out stood behind him.
"I did not seek out the blood of Unicron to simply keep my Spark aflame, but to rule undead armies and conquer worlds. And to accomplish that, I require more than this mere silver which lies within me." Megatron said, looking at his purple-glowing Decepticon symbol before turning to Knock Out with a mad glare. "So, where is my Dark Energon?!"
"Out there, Lord Megatron, just waiting for you to reach out and pluck it." Knock Out answered, earning an annoyed look from his leader. "But you shouldn't push yourself so hard. You've had setbacks, you were in stasis."
But suddenly, Megatron grabbed Knock Out and held him in the air.
"Precisely why I must make up for lost time!" Megatron stated firmly. "I can see the future, vividly. But I must ensure it's outcome."
As the Decepticon leader's optics began to widen, the scene zoomed in to see him standing over a familiar Cybertronian with his blade ready for the killing blow, while a volcano was exploding behind them in the background.
"For I am the rising darkness of which the prophecy speaks." He said.

A few hours later, the Hexside Squad, along with their Palismen, were seen on the hangout platform and looking at some self-claimed alien sighting photos on a laptop Vee brought with her.
"So, what do you guys think?" Vee asked while strolling through pictures.
"That alien's just a prop." Luz admitted.
"Balloon, not a UFO." Amity added.
"I can tell that's digital editing. As an illusionist, I know." Gus quipped with a smile.
"Wait, stop at that one." Hunter said as the laptop showed Bumblebee in his vehicle mode, with a closeup of no one in his driver seat. "Looks like Bumblebee's become famous on the human internet."
"Hey, sneaky people are always trying to get exclusive photos." Willow replied, patting Clover on the back.
"Wait, is that Bumblebee?" Ratchet asked as he was overhearing their conversation.
"On a conspiracy website." Vee answered. "It's where humans post evidence of close encounters. But we have it under control, Ratchet. We just remove Bumblebee's picture and then replace it with…"
After getting rid of the Bumblebee picture, Vee placed on another picture of a cat in an astronaut suit.
"Mars Cat says 'take me to you feeder'." The picture said.
Ratchet laughed a bit after hearing it, but realised what he had done in embarrassment once the Hexside Squad was giving him surprises expressions.
"Ratchet actually laughed?" Amity questioned as the Autobot medic struggled to come up with an excuse.
"Sure seems that way." Gus answered.
Luz then set her eyes on Optimus, who was currently focusing on the main console.
"Hey, Optimus, do you wanna look at some hilarious cat videos?" Luz asked with a smile.
"No." Optimus said simply.
"Wow. It's like nothing makes him happy, mad, sad or scared." Willow quipped.
"Don't take it personally. Primes are built that way." Arcee replied as she and the other Bots showed up.
"Never seen Optimus laugh, cry or lose his cool." Cliffjumper added.
"He's just always acting like… him." Jazz said with a shrug.
"While Optimus certainly keeps his emotions in check, I've known him far longer than any of you have." Ratchet told the others. "And he was different before he was made a Prime."
"Wait, Optimus wasn't always a Prime?" Hunter asked in surprise as Flapjack chirped curiously.
"On Cybertron, one isn't born into greatness. Rather one must earn it." Ratchet explained.
"So, how different was he? Like, some sort of local buisness Bot?" Willow questioned.
"No no. Optimus was more like… Luz." Ratchet said, much to the Hispanic girl's surprise.
"Me? Like Optimus?" Luz repeated. "No way, we're barely the same. I'm a human teenager who loves magic and makes tons of friends wherever she goes. Optimus is a super wise Autobot who's always doing selfless things to protect other beings."
"And they're not the same species, too." Bumblebee added.
Just then, the alarm started going off and the main screen displayed Agent Fowler contacting them.
"Prime! Those tech heists my department's been tracking. We figured it was M.E.C.H on the count of their stealth tactics." Fowler explained. "Until moments ago when a security feed at the Pennington Airs Particle Collider captured this."
The main screen then showed an image of a broken-in research room, where a certain Decepticon technician expert was seen standing in the middle of it.
"Soundwave." Amity muttered.
"That's definitely not good." Gus said.
"The Con without a face made off with a cutting-edge phase conductor." Fowler informed. "Here's a list of everything else we've confirmed stolen to date."
The main screen then displayed a list of top secret government equipment, which Ratchet managed to identify.
"Plasma injector, neutron shield, tesseract." Ratchet said curiously. "There's only one thing missing if they are intending to build…"

"The Decepticon Space Bridge 2.0 is nearly ready to launch." Knock Out declared as schematics for the new mega portal were shown to Megatron, Soundwave, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Airachnid.
"The only thing we need now is…" Skywarp said before Soundwave cut him off by showing an image for a special piece of machinery.
"What Soundwave said. An ample power source." Thundercracker finished.
"This one lies within a highly fortified location, by human standards." Airachnid said while showing them a military facility on screen. "I could tunnel in."
"The time of prophecy is nearly upon us!" Megatron stated firmly, causing his followers to look at each other in surprise and nervousness. "We can no longer afford stealth."

As the sun began to rise up on the base, Fowler once again began contacting Team Prime on another emergency.
"Prime, the Cons really stepped in it this time." Fowler told the Autobot leader. "They've hit a US military lab. Our boys in green will fend them off until your team shows."
"Agent Fowler, I fear that Megatron's desperation may be at it's zenith, and you know that I cannot condone even a single human casualty." Optimus replied, earning a sigh from Fowler as he knew he had a point.
"Fowler, here. Evacuate all personnel, immediately." Fowler ordered the military lab before the call ended.
"Alright, time to get into action." Jazz said with an eager smile.
"Where is Wheeljack?" Optimus asked, noticing that the swordsman Wrecker wasn't present.
"He said he was going on a drive with Gus." Arcee answered.
"I don't think we should leave him out of this fight." Bulkhead admitted, causing Optimus to nod in understanding.
"Ratchet, inform Wheeljack about the situation and prepare the Ground Bridge." Optimus ordered the Autobot medic.

At the military lab, two soldiers were seen taking cover behind a destroyed helicopter as they were currently been fired upon by Brawl, who was in his tank form.
"Humans! Come out and play!" Brawl called out, shooting another missile.
"Retreat!" A soldier called out as he and two others ran across the road towards the nearest exit, causing their two comrades to do the same.
"The little humans are running away! Bring out that power source and let's get out of here!" Brawl ordered before some Vehicons emerged from the lab with the power source machine in their possession.
But suddenly, a Ground Bridge appeared nearby and Optimus, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Jazz emerged from it before firing their weapons at their Decepticon enemies.
"Autobots! Destroy them all!" Brawl shouted, bringing his spike hammer out.
"I've got Brawl! You lot get the rest!" Jazz stated before transforming and ramming straight into Brawl, getting the two of them into a huge fight.
As the other Autobots fired their blasters at the Vehicons, some flyers showed up in the sky and began raining their blaster fire upon their enemies. Optimus was able to block a shot with his sword before shooting a flyer Vehicon down, while some others transformed and joined their allies on the battle bellow.

On the Nemesis, Megatron was waiting to hear the mission results before he was contacted by one of the Vehicons.
"Lord Megatron, package secured. But the Autobots have arrived." The Vehicon said, causing Megatron to groan in anger.
"Prepare the Nemesis for rendezvous! The package will be ready for pickup!" Megatron stated to Knock Out before leaving.
Once the Decepticon leader arrived at the Nemesis' main deck, he jumped off before transforming into his Cybertronian jet form and flying away.

Meanwhile, Wheeljack was driving across the badlands road with Gus in the back seat.
"Thanks for letting me come with you on this ride, Jackie." Gus said kindly.
"No problem. I just needed to clear my mind of this whole prophecy junk." Wheeljack replied.
"Wheeljack, the team is engaged in a battle and may require backup. They're three clicks north of your current position, just on the highway." Ratchet informed on the com-link. "If you drop off Gus at the exit ramp, I can Bridge him back to base from here."
"Sorry, Gus. I've got a job to do." Wheeljack apologised.
"It's okay, Jackie. I can still hangout with Luz and the others." Gus reassured.
However, Megatron was currently flying above the duo before spotting them on the road.
"Well well, a foolish warrior has strayed from the ranks." Megatron sneered before he began shooting at Wheeljack.
Gus looked back in worridness to see Megatron attacking them as Wheeljack did his best to manoeuvre around the laser shots, but one of them managed to hit him and a bunch of purple electricity coursed around his body. Wheeljack came to a screeching halt as Megatron flew away.
"Ugh. Scrap, that really hurt." Wheeljack groaned exhaustively. "You okay, Gus?"
But when he looked at his top mirror, he saw Gus' hand limping down in an weakened state.

Back at the military lab, the Autobots continued to battle against the Decepticons and reduce their numbers. Bulkhead knocked off a Vehicon that tried to jump him from behind, Arcee struck one down with her wrist blade, Cliffjumper shot two Vehicons in the head, and Optimus sliced another with his sword and blasted it away. However, Jazz was smashes into a damaged jeep by Brawl and the brutish Decepticon grabbed him by the neck before hoisting him up.
"I'm going to rip you in half, now!" Brawl stated menacingly.
"Thanks, but I like staying in one piece!" Jazz replied before shooting his energy grapple at a jet.
The Autobot lieutenant pulled it forward and quickly kicked out of Brawl's grip, causing only him to get hit by the jet and then crash into a building with a painful groan. Jazz straightened out his neck and rejoined the other Autobots, but then they all saw a certain Cybertronian jet appear and it transformed into Megatron, who landed in front of the Bots.
"Optimus." Megatron greeted.
"Megatron, do you not see the folly in trying to force a prophecy to fruition?" Optimus asked with a glare.
"Why leave matters to fate if one can forge one's own destiny?" Megatron asked before noticing something behind the Autobots. "Ah. Speaking of fate…"
When the Autobots turned around, they saw Wheeljack slowly walking up to them while holding a weakened Gus in both his hands with a depressed expression. Optimus' eyes widened in horror as Gus moaned very weakly and his skin was looking a bit more pale.
"Gus!" Arcee exclaimed worriedly, taking the Illusionist witch boy in her hands. "He's breathing. Barely."
"Ah, it would seem I stunned a Bot and fired an insect." Megatron mocked with a devious smirk.
Wheeljack became really angry at him after hearing this and immediately pulled out his blasters.
"I'm gonna scrap you for this, Megatron!" Wheeljack shouted madly.
"Jackie, no!" Bulkhead replied as he and Bumblebee quickly restrained him.
"Don't do it!" Bumblebee pleaded.
Optimus looked at Megatron, who gave him a challenging grin to see which decision he'll make. Knowing that the safety of his witch allies was more important, Optimus activated his com-link.
"Ratchet, Bridge us back now!" Optimus ordered.

"We must have an Autobot down." Ratchet said to himself after hearing this before activating the Ground Bridge.
Luz, Amity, Willow, Hunter and Vee exchanged concerned expressions with each other, wondering what had happened with the Bots.

Optimus kept his focus on Megatron as the Ground Bridge appeared behind him and the Autobots.
"Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, attend to Augustus. And Wheeljack." Optimus instructed.
Bumblebee guided Wheeljack into the Ground Bridge as the swordsman Wrecker kept glaring at Megatron, while Arcee and Cliffjumper followed in behind them with Gus. Optimus, Bulkhead and Jazz kept their weapons aimed at Megatron, who was soon joined up by a fully-recovered Brawl and the Nemesis began to descend above them. When Megatron and Brawl looked ahead, they noticed that all of the Autobots were gone.
"Heh, that's just like the Autobots. Running away to save puny life forms." Brawl scoffed.
The Nemesis' elevator lowered down and it landed on Megatron, Brawl and the mechanical power source before pulling them inside.

Ratchet and the Hexside Squad waited for Team Prime to arrive from the Ground Bridge. But when they saw Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Wheeljack show up with a weakened Gus, they all became shocked to their cores.
"Gus?!" Hunter asked worriedly.
"No!" Willow exclaimed.
"What happened?" Ratchet asked with a shocked look.
"Megatron." Cliffjumper answered.
"Quickly! Into my laboratory!" Ratchet ordered urgently.

The Nemesis began flying away from the military lab, while Optimus, Bulkhead and Jazz were seen climbing on one of it's wings so they could infiltrate the warship.

Back at base, Gus was seen laying down on a medical table and was still in a very weak condition as his friends watched over him in worridness, while Emmiline laid next to her owner to comfort him.
"Is he going to make it?" Vee asked nervously.
"We hope so." Amity answered.
"Augustus isn't responding. We must run diagnostics on his assemblage… eh, vital statistics. Arg, my tools! They're all wrong!" Ratchet exclaimed before throwing his tools away in frustration.
"Can't believe I let this happen." Wheeljack muttered in guilt.
"Luz, call your mom." Amity told her girlfriend. "She can help."
"Right." Luz nodded before taking out her phone and dialling Camila's number.
"Your mother may be a veterinarian, but does she know anything about the effects of Energon on a witch's body?" Ratchet questioned.
"Do you know anything about a witch's body?!" Hunter asked rhetorically, making him quite shocked as Luz managed to get through to Camila.
"Mama, we have a code red at the base." Luz informed. "You've gotta get here, now."
"The weak will perish." Ratchet whispered, taking a look at Gus in concern. "Be strong, Augustus."

"The power source will be rigged in no time, Lord Megatron." Knock Out told his leader as he made his way to the main deck with him, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Airachnid.
"Not only that, but we're nearly at the construction site." Thundercracker said.
"Nearly isn't good enough." Megatron replied firmly, getting in his face. "The spheres are aligning. I must not miss my moment to-"
But then, he began gagging a bit as he was now having visions of some large being with purple eyes inside a volcano that seemed to be spewing out purple lava.
"Lord Megatron, are you alright?" Skywarp asked in concern.
"Yet again, it is as if I can hear Unicron's thoughts." Megatron said to himself.
"Unicron? The Chaos Bringer?" Airachnid asked with a raised eyebrow.
"They say Dark Energon is his blood." Knock Out answered, trying to sound spooky. "Heh, whatever."
"Complete the Space Bridge. There is something I must attend to." Megatron proclaimed before he walked away.
"Does he seem to be losing it?" Thundercracker asked suspiciously.
"A bit." Airachnid answered.

In the Autobot base, Camila's car drove out of the Ground Bridge and the Hispanic woman herself got out of it as Luz ran up to her.
"Thanks for coming, Mama." Luz said gratefully.
"Anytime, Mija. Get my medical kit." Camila instructed before she rushed towards the others.
She then arrived next to Gus on the medical table and began checking his vitals.
"Can you save him, Mrs Noceda?" Willow asked with a worried expression.
"I've helped a lot of animals before, but never a human or a witch. I'll do whatever I can." Camila replied.
"Measuring the extent of the absorption should determine the proper course of treatment." Ratchet proclaimed.
"If we don't stabilise Gus right now, he won't be able to leave this table alive! Don't you understand how serious that is?" Camila asked in annoyance, making Ratchet surprised and lower his head down.
Luz then arrived with her mother's medical bag and placed it on the table before bringing out an Ice Glyph, summing a small chunk of ice with it.
"This should cool him down and ease him up." Luz said, placing the ice on Gus' forehead.
Camila began to bring out some of her medical equipment to help treat Gus, but Wheeljack once again started getting angry and stood up with a furious expression.
"Megatron, you spawn of a glitch!" Wheeljack yelled before punching the wall in anger, making the others look at him in shock before Arcee shoved him to the wall.
"Jackie, listen! You think I don't know how it feels to watch a partner… harmed?" Arcee asked softly, remembering the day she lost Tailgate. "Revenge won't help Gus, right now. You need to keep your emotions in check."
Arcee then backed away from Wheeljack, who took one look at Gus and looked down in shame for loosing his cool.
"Scrap." Wheeljack sighed.

Meanwhile, a group of Vehicons were seen guarding the power source inside the Nemesis as it floated in a glass tube. Just then, one of the Vehicons heard a noise and he turned his head to see what it was, only for Bulkhead to suddenly land next to him and knock him down with his wrecking ball. As he smashed another one away, a Vehicon attempted to fire his blaster at Bulkhead before Optimus dropped down and impaled him with his blade. He quickly avoided some incoming shots from one last Vehicon, until Jazz showed up in front of his leader and blasted the Vehicon off the edge.
"That's all of them, Optimus." Jazz informed as Optimus nodded in confirmation.
"Ratchet, how is Augustus?" Optimus asked on the com-link.

"It is too soon to know." Ratchet answered worriedly, watching the others treat Gus' weakened condition.
"He's in good hands." Optimus assured.
"Not mine, Optimus. Curse my Cybertronian pride. We've accepted Luz and her witch friends into our lives, yet I bother to learn so little of their science or medicine." Ratchet laminated in guilt.
"Pull yourself together, old friend. Augustus needs you." Optimus told him.
"And I have grown to need him and the others." Ratchet replied.

"Lock onto my coordinates and activate the Ground Bridge." Optimus ordered before turning towards Bulkhead and Jazz, who were now carrying the power source.
"Ready." Bulkhead said as the Ground Bridge appeared.
"Bulkhead, Jazz, return to base. There is something I must do." Optimus proclaimed.
"Okay, what's that?" Jazz asked curiously.
"I have been foolish not to see what history has proven, over and over again. That Autobots and Decepticons will never mend their ways. If there can be no diplomatic solution to this perpetual conflict, then I must not allow more darkness to fall upon this or any planet." Optimus explained, narrowing his eyes firmly. "Megatron must be destroyed."

After Bulkhead and Jazz had walked into the Ground Bridge with the power source, Optimus began approaching some Vehicons at a nearby radio station as they quickly noticed the Autobot leader and aimed their blasters at him.
"I have come for Megatron, and him alone." Optimus said before bringing both his blasters out. "Stand down and be spared."
The Vehicons decided to start firing their blasters at Optimus, who did the same thing as all his enemies were shot away effortlessly.

At the same volcano that Megatron envisioned earlier, the Decepticon leader flew above the flaming mountain as it began spewing out red lava with some light purple highlights in it.
"The flaming mountain in my vision." Megatron said before transforming and landing on the ground, staring up at the volcano. "As if it summoned me here, guided me! This is where I am to position my Space Bridge, the place from whence I am to harvest Dark Energon."
"Megatron!" Optimus' voice called out on his com-link, much to Megatron's surprise.

"I am here, on your warship! Come and face me!" Optimus demanded as he spoke into an offline Vehicon's com-link before dropping him and moving on.

"The place at which I am to defeat the last of the Primes." Megatron told himself with a smirk, switching his com-link's communication direction. "Hear this…"

"Any Decepticon who lays a hand on Optimus Prime will answer to me!" Megatron announced as every Con was listening to him at the main deck. "Soundwave, lock onto my coordinates. And lead my opponent to his destiny."
"Do you think he'll actually kill Prime, this time?" Thundercracker questioned.
"I have no idea." Skywarp said casually.

Meanwhile, Bulkhead and Jazz were back at base as they were currently watching over Gus with everyone else.
"How's he doing, Mrs Noceda?" Bumblebee asked worriedly.
"Gus is going to survive, won't he?" Vee questioned.
"I'm not entirely sure, but his vitals are getting slightly lower." Camila said in concern. "Luz, I think you and I should take him to the hospital's emergency room."
"Mrs Noceda, your doctors won't be able to comprehend what's effecting him. Not without a decade of study." Ratchet protested while checking Gus' vitals on a computer.
"We don't have time to argue about this, Ratchet." Amity replied with frown.
"Amity's right. I'm not losing my pal when he's still gotta get back home." Wheeljack replied in determination.
"The effects of an Energon blast on an Autobot can be devastating enough, but this is a witch." Ratchet muttered. "I'm not getting any readings."
"Then what's making Gus so ill?" Willow questioned.
As Ratchet did a bit more researching on the screen, a realisation hit him in his Cybertronian mind as he now understood what the cause of Gus' condition was.
"How could I not have seen this? Augustus has been infected with Dark Energon." Ratchet told the others, much to their shock.

Meanwhile, a Ground Bridge appeared in front of Megatron and stepping out of it was Optimus Prime.
"Megatron, today you answer for your crimes against Cybertron and against humanity." Optimus announced. "One shall stand…"
"And one shall fall. You, Optimus Prime!" Megatron stated before they both charged at each other.

Back at base, Ratchet was scanning Gus with a device on his wrist as his friends looked over him in worridness.
"Ratchet, how can we save him?" Luz asked.
"If Dark Energon is devouring Gus from the inside out, we must expel it and fast. The only possible way I know." Ratchet explained before grabbing an empty container. "I need Energon!"
"But, didn't you say that Energon was devastating to organics?" Hunter questioned.
"Under normal circumstances, quite. But I relying upon the dark matter currently invading Augustus' body to meet it head on." Ratchet replied.
"Take mine. If it's gonna save my pal, I'm all in on this idea." Wheeljack declared.

Optimus and Megatron both punched each other in the face and they both fell back before Optimus immediately recovered and rushed at Megatron, who attempted to fire his cannon at him until the Autobot leader moved it and made him miss. Optimus then brought out his own blaster and attempted to shoot Megatron, only for the Decepticon leader to repeat what his foe did before they both started firing missed shots at each other repeatedly. Just then, their weapons aimed at themselves and fired at the exact same time, sending Optimus and Megatron flying away from each other.
When they both got back up, Megatron fired his blaster at Optimus and the Autobot leader deflected the shot with his blade while charging at his sworn enemy. Optimus blocked two more shots before leaping into the air, causing Megatron to bring out his blade and they ended up clashing with each other.
"Your defeat here was foreseen by the ancients." Megatron said maliciously. "What was it they wrote? The weak shall perish?"
"Do not believe everything you read." Optimus replied with a scowl before both of them got into an epic sword fight.

At the same time, Gus' vitals began to get worse as Ratchet extracted some Energon from Wheeljack and connected it to the medical chamber.
"I need him over here! Now!" Ratchet stated.
Luz, Amity and Camila quickly moved Gus into the chamber as he stilled laid on the table. Once he was inside, Ratchet pulled a lever down and all the lights went out before the Energon within the chamber began to emit a bright glow. A huge flash covered the entire base and it soon died down, allowing the Hexside Squad to see that Gus was still not moving on Gus table but his skin had slightly returned to it's normal colour.
"Did it work?" Vee asked hopefully as the chamber opened up.
"Let's see." Amity replied.
They all rushed up to Gus with Wheeljack in tow before noticing his eyes began to slightly open up.
"His pulse is stable." Camila said with a smile.
Gus' eyes were then fully open and he gave all of his friends a kind smile.
"Hey… guys." Gus said weakly.
"Gus!" Willow exclaimed in relief, hugging her witch friend while Emmiline jumped up to the Illusionist witch and snuggled him.
"Glad to have you back with us, pal." Wheeljack said with a smile.
"We thought we were gonna lose you." Hunter added.
"Hey, I'm alive. That's what matters." Gus replied.
Camila looked towards Ratchet and gave him a grateful smile, causing him to do the same.
"Optimus, we did it." Ratchet said.

Speaking of Optimus, he was still clashing his blade against Megatron's while using his strength to push him back with every blow. Megatron punched Optimus in the face and then kicked him away, but Optimus stood strong and transformed into his vehicle mode with a shout. Megatron tried to shoot Optimus, but the Autobot leader was able to avoid the shots and rammed his foe off the edge before following him down. As Megatron crashed onto the lower ground, Optimus stomped his foot onto his face and made his tires run all over the Decepticon leader's face. As he struggled, Megatron managed to grab Optimus by his face and then toss him away. But as he stood up, Megatron's face was covered in black marks and this left him unable to see where Optimus was before the Autobot leader quickly punched him in the face. This caused a bunch of Dark Energon to spill from his mouth as Optimus kept doing the same thing over and over again, until he shouted out and punched Megatron away with all the might he could muster. Megatron crashed against the ground and laid there in a weakened state, while Optimus approached his old enemy and brought out his blade while strange purple lightning was seen above.
"My destiny…" Megatron scowled painfully as he tried to get up, only for Optimus to pin him down by his foot. "This isn't how it's supposed to end."
"On the contrary, Megatron…" Optimus said, raising his blade up for the finishing blow. "I could not have allowed this to end otherwise."
Megatron's eyes widened in horror as it started to look like Optimus was going to destroy him, once and for all. But when the volcano started spewing out purple lava and Optimus brought his blade down, Megatron was shown to have caught it with his bare hands as his eyes and body had purple glowing outlines.

At the Autobot base, the Hexside Squad and Wheeljack confined to look after Gus as the Autobots were now discussing another important matter.
"Bulkhead, Jazz, you two let Optimus face Megatron alone?" Arcee asked in disbelief.
"We didn't have a choice." Bulkhead replied.
"Yeah, it didn't look like the best time for arguing with him." Jazz added.
"I'm sure Optimus can hold his own against him, right?" Cliffjumper asked.
"It could be a trap. We need to get a fix on his location." Ratchet said while searching for Optimus on the main console.

Megatron shouted loudly as he stood right back up and kept holding Optimus' blade in his hands, while the Autobot leader struggled to push back.
"How was it that you put it, Optimus? I could not have allowed this to end otherwise?" Megatron questioned with a smirk before breaking the blade in half and stabbing the top end into Optimus' shoulder.
Optimus tried fighting back, but Megatron repeatedly struck him and then sent him flying away with a powerful uppercut. As Optimus laid on the floor, he began seeing more purple substance erupting from the volcano and a solar eclipse in the sky as Megatron approached his rival. Optimus pulled out the blade in his shoulder and tried to get up, but Megatron pressed his foot down on him to keep him in place.

Meanwhile, Ratchet finally managed to locate Optimus.
"I'm locked onto Optimus' signal." Ratchet told the others before seeing something that shocked him. "Wait… how is this possible?"
"What? What is it?" Arcee asked, slowly starting to panic after she heard Ratchet's tone.
"We need to get Optimus out of there, now!" Ratchet said urgently.

Megatron was still standing over Optimus before he looked at the top of the volcano spewing out a dark matter that he was all too familiar with.
"Hahahahahah! Well well, it seems the blood of Unicron I've been seeking is not out there, but rather right here!" Megatron admitted, grinning sinisterly.
"Dark Energon, erupting from the Earth?" Optimus asked in shock.
Megatron then brought out his blade and raised it high in the air as Optimus was now at the Decepticon leader's mercy.
