Returning to the Isle of Armor
Professor Magnolia was inside her house, having a cup of tea, when the sound of flapping wings appears outside.
"What could that be?" asked Professor Magnolia. She puts her teacup down and walks out her front door to see several Flying Taxis setting down in front of her house. Once they finished doing so, the carriages open up, and Lincoln, along with his sisters and friends, climb out of them.
"Hey, Professor Magnolia." said Lincoln as he waves at her.
"Hello, everyone." said Professor Magnolia as the group walks over to her.
"It's great to see you, again." said Lincoln.
"Likewise." replied Professor Magnolia. "What brings you all here?" Sam steps forward and holds out her Wishing Star.
"Could you make me a Dynamax Band?" asked Sam.
"Of course, dearie." said Professor Magnolia.
"Oh, let me introduce her, ma'am." said Lincoln. "This is Luna's friend, Sam."
"It's nice to meet you dear." said Professor Magnolia.
"It's nice to meet you, too." said Sam.
"Give me about ten minutes and I'll have this made into a Dynamax Band." said Professor Magnolia.
"Rockin'." said Sam. As the group waits for Professor Magnolia to finish her requested task, they go over what to do afterwards.
"Are we gonna go to Hammerlocke after we're done here?" asked Lana.
"I was thinking we can go back to the Isle of Armor to get some Max Soup for my Cinderace and Sam's Toxtricity." said Lincoln.
"Good call." said Luna.
"What's Max Soup?" asked Sam.
"It's this stuff that lets certain fully evolved Pokemon to Gigantamax." explained Luna.
"Gigantawhat?" replied Sam.
"Gigantamax." said Lincoln. "It's like Dynamaxing, but the Pokemon looks very different than what it was before."
"That sounds rad." said Sam. After some waiting, Professor Magnolia steps out of her house, holding a brand new Dynamax Band for Sam.
"Here you go, dearie." said Professor Magnolia as she holds out the Dynamax Band to her.
"Thanks." said Sam as she accepts it and slips it onto her wrist.
"That looks wonderful on you." said Professor Magnolia. "Perhaps you would all like to join me for tea and cookies?" Lana and Lola's eyes light up at the 'cookies' part.
"Can we, Lincoln?!" asked the twins in unison while giving him the puppy dog eyes. Lincoln sighs in defeat.
"If those looks were a Pokemon move, they would be super effective against me." said Lincoln, getting laughs for everyone. The group spent time with the Professor, chatting about things such as the adventures they had so far, having tea and cookies, generally just enjoying a break from training for a bit. After some time has passed, the group exits the house.
"It was wonderful of you to spend some time here." said Professor Magnolia. "Be sure to stop by and visit some time."
"If you have cookies that were just as good as the ones we just had, we'll make it a point to come over more often." said Lola as she rubs her tummy.
"I'll be sure to have more next time you visit." said Professor Magnolia. The group go back into the Flying Taxis and have them bring them to the Isle of Armor. Half an hour later, they all arrive, and they climb out.
"Okay, let's go find some Max Mushrooms." said Lana.
"What do they look like?" asked Sam.
"They're really big, red, and they have swirl patterns on the top." said Luna.
"Okay, let's go." said Sam.
"Pass, I'm going pearl hunting." said Lola as she runs towards the nearest beach and starts digging. Everyone else heads in different directions.
Sam and Luna were in Courageous Cavern, looking around for Max Mushrooms; several minutes later, Sam sees some.
"There's some." said Sam, pointing. They run over to them and started to pick some. As they did, Sam hears something approaching them; she looks to see an orange Pokemon with pincers that had a large rock on top of it like a shell. "What's that?" She takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Dwebble, the Rock Inn Pokemon. It first tries to find a rock to live in, but if there are no suitable rocks to be found, Dwebble may move in to the ports of a Hippowdon." said Sam's Rotom Phone.
"I think I'll catch this one." said Sam as she pulls out a pokeball. "Gastrodon, go!" She throws a pokeball, releasing her Gastrodon. "All right, Gastrodon; use Water Pulse!" Gastrodon forms a ball of water in front of his mouth and launches it at Dwebble, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage. The Dwebble skitters at Gastrodon while its right pincer was glowing green and slashes Gastrodon with it. "Water Gun!" Gastrodon opens his mouth and unleashes a spiral of water out of it; it hits Dwebble, dealing super effective damage and knocking it to the ground.
"Now's your chance, Sam." said Luna.
"On it." said Sam as she takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Dwebble; it hits it and sucks it in. After it wiggle around a few time; it stops and clicks. "Awesome! I caught a Dwebble!" Dwebble's pokeball gets transported to storage; Sam takes out her Rotom Phone and looks up Dwebble's information. "Okay, this says Dwebble's a girl, she knows Fury Cutter, Sand Attack, Withdraw, Smack Down, Bug Bite, and Flail; she has the Sturdy ability which prevents her from being taken down in one hit."
"Rad." replied Luna. "Come on; I think we have enough Max Mushrooms now." Luna and Sam then left the cavern.
With Lincoln, he was in the Forest of Focus, and he just found his third Max Mushroom; as he starts heading back to the Master Dojo, he notices a Pokemon Den with a purple beam of light coming out of it.
"Haven't been in one of those in a while." said Lincoln. He absorbs the Watts from it before jumping inside and looks around to see a large, brown, stag beetle-like Pokemon with spike-covered pinsirs on its head. He points his Rotom Phone at it to learn what it was.
"Pinsir, the Stagbeetle Pokemon. This Pokémon clamps its pincers down on its prey and then either splits the prey in half or flings it away." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"I don't have one of these guys yet." said Lincoln as he takes out his Boltund's pokeball and releases him from it; he then returns it and uses his Dynamax Band to enlarge, then he throws it, letting out Boltund again, only Dynamaxed this time. "Okay, Boltund; use Max Lightning!" Boltund releases a jolt of electricity into the sky and it brings down a larger blast of lightning which hits the Pisnir, doing damage to it. Suddenly, the air becomes electric all around. Pisnir responds by releasing a flurry of glowing green butterflies which hit Boltund and causes a massive green blast of energy. "Boltund, use another Max Lighning!" Boltund releases another blast of electricity, which gets mixed in with the electricity that was all around them and it hits the Pinsir, this time doing enough damage to cause the energy in it to explode. Lincoln quickly takes out an empty pokeball and uses his Dynamax Band to enlarge it, then throws it at the Pinsir, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a bit before clicking.
"Woohoo! I caught Pinsir!" said Lincoln. He soon finds himself outside the Pokemon Den and he uses his Rotom Phone to look up his new Pinsir's information. "This says my Pinsir is a boy, he knows Vise Grip, Harden, Focus Energy, Bind, Seismic Toss, Bug Bite, Storm Throw, and Focus Energy; plus, he has the Hyper Cutter ability which prevents his attack power from being lowered. He looks down on the ground and sees some berries and a couple of Balm Mushrooms. He then picks them up, puts them in his backpack, and continues on towards the Master Dojo.
As he heads through the Soothing Wetlands, he decides that he hasn't given Boltund a lot of attention and focuses on training him for a while; after a while, he learned Charm and Crunch. After that, he continues walking until he reaches the Master Dojo and heads inside, getting Master Mustard and Ms. Honey's attention.
"Lincoln, what a pleasant surprise." said Ms. Honey
"What brings you back to the Isle of Armor?" asked Master Mustard.
"My Raboot evolved into Cinderace and I would like to make some Max Soup for him." said Lincoln.
"Very well." said Ms. Honey. Lincoln hands her the Max Mushrooms he found, and she gets started preparing the Max Soup. Once she finished it, Lincoln thanks her and lets his Cinderace out of his pokeball.
"Hi, Cinderace." said Lincoln.
"Hey, Lincoln; what's up?" asked Cinderace.
"I got some Max Soup for you." said Lincoln as he holds out a bowl with Max Soup in it.
"You mean that stuff that lets some Pokemon Gigantamax?" asked Cinderace.
"Yeah, would you like some?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure." said Cinderace as he grabs the bowl and drinks it. A surge of power flows through Cinderace. "Thanks, Lincoln."
"No problem." said Lincoln. Just then, Luna and Sam came into the kitchen.
"Ms. Honey; we got some Max Mushrooms." said Sam, holding out her Max Mushrooms.
"Very well; I will get started on your Max Soup." said Ms. Honey.
At Warm Up Tunnel, Lana has just gathered up her third Max Mushroom with Silicobra watching.
"Okay, Silcobra; I'm going to hang onto these until you evolve." said Lana. Silicobra nods in response; she suddenly turned towards something. Lana looks to see an orange, tortoise-like Pokemon with a gray shell walking by. "What's that?" Lana takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Torkoal, the Coal Pokemon. You find abandoned coal mines full of them. They dig tirelessly in search of coal." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"Okay, Silicobra, let's catch this one." said Lana. Silicobra nods and approaches Torkoal. It turned towards them; bright sunlight filled the room. "Man, why did it get so bright in here? Oh, well; Silicobra, Dig!" Silicobra jumps into the ground and digs into it. Torkoal tucks its legs and head into its shell, and it glows blue. Silicobra bursts out of the ground and rams into Torkaol, dealing super effective damage. Torkoal tucks its legs and head into its shell again and spins towards Silicobra and rams her, knocking her back.
"Use Headbutt!" said Lana. Silicobra leaps at Torkoal and rams her head into it, knocking Torkoal to the ground. Lana takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Torkoal, hitting it, and sucking it in. After it wiggled around a couple times, it clicks. "Yeah! Torkoal's mine!" Torkoal's pokeball gets transported to storage. Lana's Rotom Phone suddenly chimed; she looks at it. "Hey; says here you just learned Sandstorm." She then uses her Rotom Phone to look up Torkoal's information.
"Okay; says here Torkoal's a girl, she knows Smog, Ember, Withdraw, Rapid Spin, Smokescreen, Clear Smog, and Flame Wheel." said Lana. "Also says she has the Drought ability which fills an area with bright sunlight; that's why it got so bright in this tunnel." She returned Silicobra to her pokeball and she leaves the tunnel.
Back at the Master Dojo, Sam's Toxtricity was patting her belly after she finished eating Max Soup; a surge of power surges through her.
"Thanks, ma'am." said Sam.
"You're welcome." said Ms. Honey. Sam and Luna exit the Master Dojo to see the rest of the group standing outside.
"Hey, dudes." said Luna.
"Hey, Luna." replied Leni. "Ready to go?"
"Sure, dudette." said Luna. The group call for Flying Taxis and they hop in to continue their Gym Challenge.
