I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.

Chapter Thirteen

Today was a day of going through boxes and seeing what was stored away for who knows how long. Danielle was having a blast trying to categorize every item. Eda and Luz though, not so much. At one point, Gus had come over.

"Hey, guess what Luz," said Gus, looking excited. "Your ban has finally been lifted."

"Make sure those posters are burned."

"Yes!" shouted Luz, dropping the item she was holding.

"Are all the posters taken down?" asked Danielle, as she was looking through her stuff. "Cause if not, then someone will think we're intruding."

"Principal Bump is making sure they are being taken down," replied Gus, looking at Danielle.

"There ain't nothing for you two at that dweebus factory," said Eda, before looking at Gus. "No offense, dweebus."

"It's okay," said Gus, looking at Eda. "I come from a long line of dweebuses."

"You're not a dweebus Gus," said Danielle, looking at Gus.

"Well, I would love to go some day," said Luz, staring at Eda. "Better than unpacking boxes in the Eda Coven."

"Oh, you think you're clever, huh?" said Eda, standing up.

"Ooh! Fight, fight, fight!" said King, jumping onto a box.

"Please don't fight," said Danielle, still looking at the stuff she categorized before seeing everyone look at her. "What?"

"You and Luz go at like cats," said Eda, staring at Danielle than Luz. "First off, it's the "Bad Girl Coven" and second off, I guess you don't want in on the T-shirt order, huh?"

"I don't care about T-shirts, Eda! I want to learn magic," said Luz, looking at Eda. "And they teach that at Hexside!"

"Besides, you'll get a break from us," said Danielle, looking at Eda. "Or do you want to deal with two teens 24/7? Every day, every hour, every minute, every second."

"Ah, no," said Eda, slumping on the couch. "Okay, you win."

"Boom," said Danielle, fist bumping Luz as she giggled.

"We'll be there tomorrow," said Luz, looking at Gus. "Gus, this will be great! I get to see the school and save the president."

"Great!" said Gus, heading to the front door. "I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Bye," said Danielle, seeing Gus leave before looking at everyone else. "Let's get back to categorizing then."

"Okay," said Luz, grabbing a water gun from a box. "Categorize this."

"Aaah! Luz, stop!" said Danielle, getting sprayed by water as she ran around the room with Luz in pursuit.

"Revenge!" shouted Luz, laughing as she chased Danielle who was slightly giggling as well.

The remainder of the day went as so. By the next morning, Danielle and Luz head towards Hexside. Principal Bump was still busy burning every banned poster of Luz that remained so there wasn't a repeat of last time.

"Hi Willow, Hi Gus," said Danielle, walking over to the two. "How is everything?"

"Great," replied Willow, looking at Danielle. "Principal Bump is glad to see my grades improving in the Plant track."

"That's great Willow," said Luz, hugging Willow.

"Everyone at the H.A.S. are looking forward to seeing you two," said Gus, before his demon watch goes off. "That's my alarm. We better get going."

"Bye, friend. Be safe," said Luz, waving bye to Willow. "Make good choices."

"Stay away from the Beast Keeping Homeroom. They have snakes there today," said Willow, before becoming confused. "Why'd I bring that up?"

"Snakes?!" said Danielle, hearing Willow. "I do not like."

"There is nothing wrong with snakes," said Luz, staring at Danielle.

"I had a bad experience with them when I was younger," said Danielle, glaring at Luz before looking at Gus. "So, I guess it's Principal Bump's office first to get a visitor pass?"

"Sure," said Gus, walking towards Principal Bump's office and opening the door.

"What is it?" asked Principal Bump, noticing Danielle, Luz and Gus. "Oh, right. Here, your visitor passes."

"That was easier than I thought," said Danielle, holding her visitor pass.

"Yeah," said Luz, just as confused.

"Try to not make any trouble," said Principal Bump, looking at the girls than Gus. "If your new member causes trouble, send him my way."

"Okay," said Gus, confused as they left the office. "That was weird. I haven't even registered Mattholomule yet."

"So… um… what to first?" asked Luz, looking at Gus.

"Better question," said Danielle, pointing to two School Guards. "What are those?"

"Well, they kinda showed up after your last visit," replied Gus, looking at the School Guard then Danielle and Luz. "They smell trouble. Literally."

"Next destination please," said Danielle, walking away down a different hall.

"Not a problem," said Gus, walking after Danielle and Luz before bumping into someone. "Mattholomule."

"Here Gus," said Danielle, picking up papers that fell out of Gus's bag and handing them to Gus.

"Augustus, you should really watch where you going. Don't want the president of the H. A. S. getting hurt on his last day in office," said Mattholomule, picking up and dusting the crown before looking at Danielle and Luz. "These must be your humans. Hmm. Looks like witchlings to me."

"The humans," said Yellow Fang, peering from down the hallway before staring at Danielle in particular. "Titan above, that one's hot. Gah, no! Bad thoughts."

"I assure you," said Danielle, pulling her hair back some to reveal her ears. "We are human."

"Ta-da!" said Luz, showing her own ears.

"Humans!" said Mattholomule, gasping.

"Not just any humans," said Gus, gesturing to Danielle and Luz. "Expert humans."

"Yeah," said Luz, looking at Mattholomule. "We've been doing this for years."

"Remember," said Danielle, looking at Gus. "I only know what I know. There are still things I have yet to learn."

"Got'cha," said Gus, looking at Danielle. "They're here to authenticate your treasures. See you at the meeting."

"See you later," said Danielle, walking alongside Luz and Gus.

"Oh, no, no, no, no! They can't know I lied. Then they'll never make me president. Huh?" said Mattholomule, noticing a banned poster of Luz that wasn't burned yet. "Ooh, Gus, I have you now. Though I have to admit, that one human is kinda hot."

"Seriously?!" said Yellow Fang, coming out of hiding. "That's a human."

"Oh, hey Yellow Fang," said Mattholomule, pocketing the poster. "Gotta go."

"Hold on," said Yellow Fang, grabbing the back of Mattholomule's cowl. "What do you have planned? Cause if it deals with those two humans, then I want in."

"Okay," said Mattholomule, quirking his eyebrow. "I was planning on getting some of those School Guards to throw them into the detention pit."

"Pfft, seriously. I got a better plan," said Yellow Fang, grinning. "Come, follow me."

As Mattholomule followed Yellow Fang and listened to his plan, he was instantly regretting it. As for Danielle and Luz, Gus showed them around before coming upon the Plant Track Homeroom. Eda though, after entering the school ended up with dealing with whatever Principal Bump pushed her way, just so she could get Danielle and Luz into Hexside.

"Ooh. What's in here?" asked Luz, staring into the classroom.

"Let's not disturb them," said Danielle, looking at Luz.

"The Plant Homeroom," replied Gus, looking at Luz.

"Willow, hey," said Luz, gaining Willow's attention.

"We shouldn't be distracting her from her schoolwork," said Danielle, as Willow opened the door.

"Oh, hey Danielle, hey Luz," said Willow, ushering the girls and Gus in. "How's the tour going so far?"

"Pretty great," replied Luz, walking into the classroom.

"Sorry bout the disturbance," said Danielle, walking in.

"That's okay," said Willow, looking at Danielle. "Is this the first track homeroom you've seen?"

"Yup, eep," replied Danielle, backing away from a flower that snapped at her. "Carnivorous little fella. Luz, stop laughing."

"Come on," said Luz, slightly smiling. "It was a little funny."

"No, it wasn't," said Danielle, a little miffed.

"You got to be careful around certain ones," said Willow, looking at Danielle.

"If you want, I can use the plant glyph to grow specific plants from home for you to study here," said Danielle, holding out some plant glyphs.

"Really, that would be awesome," said Willow, before watching Danielle set off the plant glyphs. "Oooo, what is each one?"

"Showoff," said Luz, as Danielle conjured forth various plants from home.

After explaining each plant that was conjured forth, everyone was fascinated. Luz just stayed to the side during the explanation, miffed that she still couldn't get the other glyphs yet. After a while, the girls and Gus left the Plant Track Homeroom and headed towards the Illusion Track Homeroom.

"And this is where I spend my time," said Gus, ushering Danielle in. "The Illusion Track Homeroom."

"Wow," said Danielle, seeing illusions being displayed. "Hi Emira, Hi Edric."

"Hey Danielle, hey Luz" said the twins, waving hi to Danielle and Luz.

"Illusions are definitely useful but can technology see through it," said Danielle, taking out her cellphone and pointing it at a spell circle only to see a glyph. "Looks like I got a new glyph."

"Dangit!" said Luz, looking at her cell phone. "It's still fuzzy."

"Mister Titan, come on," thought Danielle, deeply sighing. "Stop making them fuzzy for Luz."

"Oh! Time for the H. A. S. meeting," said Gus, as his demon watch went off.

Heading straight for the H.A.S. meeting, Gus gestures for Danielle and Luz to stay outside momentarily. Danielle and Luz could hear the club members chanting "human" from the hall.

"Human Appreciation Society..." said Gus, twanging a paper clip. "It is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you... Danielle and Luz, the humans!"

"Hi there," said Danielle, as Luz moonwalked into the classroom.

"Such showmanship," said a Healing Track Female Student, staring at Luz.

"They're horrifying," said a Goat-like Student, staring at Danielle and Luz.

"Please don't call me that," said Danielle, looking at the Goat-like Student.

"Danielle, Luz, will you inspect the items?" asked Gus, gesturing to Mattholomule's stuff on the desk.

"Sure," replied Danielle, before looking at the fake human skull. "Does my head really look that small to you?"

"Er… well… no," replied Mattholomule, nervously as he thought. "I'm not liking this plan."

"Of course, Mr. President," replied Luz, about to grab an item. "Allow me to determine if they're truly of my realm's origin."

"Stop!" shouted Mattholomule, scattering the items off the desk. "Don't make another move, humans!"

"Watch it," said Danielle, glaring at Mattholomule.

"I... have something to say. I'm new here at Hexside. M-Making friends has been hard, so I lied. They're all fakes," said Mattholomule, making a certain member to gasp. "I thought if I was important enough people would like me. But I've caused enough drama. So, I'll go. I'm sorry."

"Well, at least you came clean about it," said Danielle, looking at Mattholomule.

"Hey, man. It's okay," said Luz, looking at Mattholomule. "You're only human. Well, you know what I mean."

"Mattholomule, you aren't alone," said Gus, looking at Mattholomule. "You have a place here in the H. A. S."

"I don't think I will by the end of it," thought Mattholomule, staring down nervously.

"Are you okay?" asked Danielle, staring at Mattholomule, concerned.

"Yeah… sure…" replied Mattholomule, looking away. "I'm fine."

"You're not alone," said the Goat-like Student, looking at Mattholomule. "You're one of us."

"We admire your honesty," said a Female Healing Student, looking at Mattholomule.

"Thanks, guys," said Mattholomule, blushing slightly while still looking away. "I knew you'd understand."

"Something's up," thought Danielle, staring at Mattholomule. "What is he hiding?"

As the meeting truly kicked in, Danielle and Luz were able to explain a lot of things. Though Luz added in her own flair, like what she did when explaining braces that day with Gus when they first met and making everyone in the meeting laugh a little. By the end of the meeting, the members were ecstatic as they said goodbye before heading to their next class.

"That was very productive," said Danielle, stretching her arms above her head. "Glad we were able to help clear up a lot of things."

"At least I spiced it up," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "I think someone was falling asleep."

"Mmm," said Danielle, looking at Luz.

"I can't believe how many things I got wrong," said Gus, looking at his stuff. "Thanks for explaining everything."

"Not a problem," said Danielle and Luz, looking at Gus.

"Hey, Augustus, Danielle, Luz, thank you for being so forgiving," said Mattholomule, smiling before thinking. "Though they won't be so forgiving afterwards. Oh, why am I going through with this?"

"We've all been the new kid before," said Luz, looking at Mattholomule than Gus. "Right, Gus?"

"Yeah," replied Gus, smiling.

"Well, I just have one thing to say..." said Mattholomule, deeply sighing. "I can give you a tour of the Construction Track. No one knows it better than me."

"Okay," said Luz, excited.

"Hmmm," thought Danielle, staring at Mattholomule.

"I'll take over the tour, Augustus," said Mattholomule, pushing the girls out of the room. "Take a break, you've had a long day."

As Mattholomule got the girls out of the room, Gus was a little suspicious. Showing the girls down several halls, Mattholomule was sweating up a storm. Coming upon a door, Mattholomule opened it, revealing the room to be dark.

"This is the Construction Homeroom?" said Luz, looking inside. "Pretty dark, don't you think?"

"Oh… um…" said Mattholomule, as Yellow Fang walked forth.

"Something's not right," said Danielle, backing away some before being pushed in the room with Luz by Yellow Fang. "Hey!"

"What was that for?" asked Luz, as the door was shut and locked. "Hey, open the door."

"We got played," said Danielle, rattling the doorknob before hearing something flutter nearby. "What was that?"

"Eep," said Luz, seeing something fly by.

"Have fun with the Choosey Hat, humans," said Yellow Fang, walking away with Mattholomule. "By the end of the day, those two will be gone. The less humans, the better."

"Uh… yeah, sure," said Mattholomule, nervously looking at the floor.

"Choosy Hat?" said Danielle and Luz, before setting off a Light Glyph each before seeing the Choosy Hat before them. "AAAHHH!"

Scrambling for some safety in the darkened room, Danielle and Luz set off as many Light Glyphs as they could to see where they were going. The Choosy Hat was flying around trying to locate the girls. Peeking out from behind a desk, Luz notices Danielle in another area of the room, hiding just as well. Thinking, Luz sets off a Light Glyph to blind the Choosy Hat before ushering Danielle to run her way. Skidding behind the desk after running, Danielle stares at Luz.

"Okay, we need to do something about that fashion disaster," said Danielle, catching her breath.

"We could shred it to pieces," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "Tear it up from the seams."

"That could work," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "Then we can burn it."

"Agreed," said Luz, before hearing flapping above them and looking.

"And now I feed," said the Choosy Hat, opening its brim wide.

"AAH!" screamed Danielle and Luz, running from the Choosy Hat.

Setting off a Plant Glyph, Danielle entangles the Choosy Hat in a bunch of vines. Seeing it immobile, Luz sets off a Light Glyph that sends streams of lights that cut into the Choosy Hat, shredding it a fair amount. What grossed Danielle and Luz out was the fact the Choosy Hat was bleeding afterwards. Slamming the Choosy Hat into a trash bin, Danielle sets off a Fire Glyph inside before Luz slammed the lid down.

"Finally, it's over," said Danielle, as Luz leaned against her.

"I think I've had enough school for today," said Luz, catching her breath.

"I FEED!" shouted the Choosy Hat, as the lid came off and it hovered in the air, flame and all.

"Aah!" screamed Danielle and Luz, before the door flung upon and Mattholomule cast an Earth Spell to slam the lid back down with the Choosy Hat. "Mattholomule?"

"Hold it down!" said Mattholomule, conjuring more Earth magic to make clamps.

Holding the lid down, Danielle and Luz see the earth clamps seal the lid tightly. Sighing in relief for a brief moment, the trash bin thrashes about. Trying to hold it still, the girls and Mattholomule sit on top of it, hoping that it would work till the Choosy Hat stopped struggling about.

"What is the meaning of this?" asked Danielle, angrily glaring at Mattholomule.

"Look, I'm sorry. I wanted power, I wanted drama when I came here," replied Mattholomule, as the trash bin kept shaking. "I originally was going to have some School Guards throw you two in the detention pit."

"Detention pit?" said Danielle and Luz, staring at Mattholomule.

"But then Yellow Fang came up to me and suggested a different plan, throw them in the room with the Choosy Hat loose," said Mattholomule, tears forming in the corner of his eyes. "I got scared. I didn't want it to come this far. I'm sorry!"

"Mattholomule," said Danielle and Luz, staring at Mattholomule.

"Ugh, when is this thing going to stop?" said Mattholomule, as the Choosy Hat kept thrashing about.

"I have some fireworks in my bag," said Danielle. "I never got to use them since we came here. It's dangerous but I can't think of any other way right now."

"You have fireworks?" said Luz, staring at Danielle.

"It was meant to celebrate the end of the school year with dad," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "You two in?"

"Yes!" replied Luz and Mattholomule, looking at Danielle.

"Good, when I say go be prepared to lift and slam the lid quickly," said Danielle, grabbing the fireworks out of her bag. "Ready?"

"Let's do this," said Luz, holding the trash bin still.

"Go!" shouted Danielle, as the lid was lifted and she threw the fireworks in. "Fire in the hole!"

It didn't take that long for the fireworks to go off. And send the sealed trash bin flying throughout the whole room causing a ruckus. Good thing too, as it alerted Principal Bump, Eda and Gus. Huddling in a corner away from the flying trash bin, Mattholomule is squashed between Danielle and Luz, blushing up a storm, as the last firework made the trash bin explode with pieces of the Choosy Hat scattered about. Some even landing on Danielle, Luz and Mattholomule.

"Ew," said the girls and Mattholomule, staring at the Choosy Hat remains on them.

"What is going on…" said Principal Bump, opening the door and seeing an empty glass container empty. "The Choosy Hat?! It broke free!"

"Actually," said Danielle, gaining Principal Bump's attention. "It's no more."

"Danielle! Luz!" shouted Gus, running into the room alongside Eda.

"Sorry, we had to blow it up," said Luz, staring at Principal Bump as Eda checked her and Danielle over. "It tried to eat us."

"One problem solved," said Principal Bump, deeply sighing. "I'd say banned but I've already gone through that enough."

"What?" said everyone, staring at Principal Bump confused.

"Matt Tholomule, explain," said Principal Bump, staring at Mattholomule.

"It was all Yellow Fang's doing. He changed my original plans," said Mattholomule, looking at Principal Bump. "If he didn't show up, they were going to be in the detention pit that I originally thought up. I mean… Luz was banned. See."

"Again, not in time," said Principal Bump, sighing and confusing everyone. "Her ban was lifted as of yesterday."

"Oh," said Mattholomule, staring at the floor in shame.

"Did it work? Are the humans…" said Yellow Fang, only to see Principal Bump and everyone else glaring at him. "Uh-oh… wait!"

"Yellow Fang, you are in a lot of trouble," said Principal Bump, glaring at Yellow Fang. "I'll be taking this up with your parents as well. As for you Matt Tholomule, I want to see you in my office soon."

"Yes, Principal Bump," said Mattholomule, sighing.

"Yes sir," said Yellow Fang, before glaring at Danielle and Luz. "But the humans…"

"Are officially enrolled in this school," said Principal Bump, staring at Danielle and Luz. "I look forward to it."

"Yes!" said Danielle and Luz, high fiving each other.

"What?!" shouted Yellow Fang, angry. "You can't be…"

"I'd stop if I was you," said Principal Bump, before looking at Danielle and Luz. "There is one thing. I'd like to see you two collaborate for the magic portion of the entrance exam. Show me what you two got."

"Well, this will be an interesting exam," said Eda, looking at Danielle and Luz. "I'm only doing this because I have faith in you two. And I know you're too smart to fall for that One-Witch, One-Coven nonsense. You can learn a lot from the witches here. And maybe teach them some of that Bad Girl Coven magic too."

"Looking forward to seeing it," said Principal Bump, leaving the room with Yellow Fang in tow.

"Huh?" said Eda, confused.

"Now what?" asked Gus, staring at Danielle and Luz.

"Shower," said Danielle and Luz, peeling a piece of the Choosy Hat off.
