A/N: Hey there, friends! New fic coming at you! Idk where this idea came from but it absolutely won't leave me brain. So, if you'd like the join me on this adventure I would love to have to along!
There was one thing I was absolutely sure of and that's that this reality, this world, this universe, it didn't belong to me.
One minute, I'm minding my own business. I'm messing around with a weird cube thing that was dropped by the guy who nearly zapped Scott with it. I had scurried to grab it while my best friend had him distracted. The moment I picked it up, it glowed a bright light, and the next thing I know I'm standing in an alley way in a city.
"What the?" The words fall flatly out of my mouth in a breathy almost whisper.
People are walking in every direction and my stomach feels like it wants to empty itself. I look around and start walking forward. I feel myself sway a bit but I keep going. I'm looking around at all of the different street signs and building names. There's a massive building a few blocks away with a planet spinning on the top. I head towards it.
I keep swaying here and there as I walk. I have to lean against a wall briefly to regain myself before continuing on. As I approach the building wearing a planet as a hat, I hear a loud boom behind me, and people begin to scream. I watch as they scatter and run. They don't care that they're knocking into people or shoving them so hard they fall including me.
The gas line that had erupted birthed a man, he's big, and he looks like he wants to devour the city. I watch in horror as he sets his gaze onto a small child, she's holding a teddy bear, and there's tears streaming down her cheeks. His laugh is like thunder and I react without thinking. I swallow the nausea and I push through the swimmy feeling in my head in order to even stand. I run to her and pick her up before the guy can do anything. I take her to a woman nearby, her hair is dark, and she's wearing a suit skirt thing.
"Take her!" My voice is rushed and demanding. I've no idea what's going on. I was in Beacon Hills not even five minutes ago, and now I'm here, where some maniac is exploding things and walking out of fire.
The lady accepts her from my arms and I quickly read the badge around her neck that says: Lois Lane. Her eyes go from looking at me, to partially horrified, and looking behind me. I can already tell that he's approaching, the ground shutters every step he takes, and I turn around. He's at least 10 feet tall, big enough to crush me like an ant, and he's not too far behind me.
He's wearing a scowl on his face when I turn to face him and he's looking directly at us. I cant tell if he's still staring at the little girl or not, but I don't really want to find out. "Get her out of here." I say turning my head to look at the woman called Lois. "Go! Get her out of here!" I beg and she runs.
I hear her calling for someone but I can't hear the name she's saying. The motion sickness from before is worsening and my head is beginning to spin once more . I look at the giant again expecting him to be in the same spot, but I'm startled to see him standing front and center. He's staring down at me and the eerie smile is on his face again. I try to turn and run but his reaction time is fast. He reaches a hand out and grabs me before I can make it five steps.
His hand is tightly wrapped around my waist. I'm trying to fight him off, but every time I hit him, he squeezes a bit harder until I'm struggling to breath. The pressure on my ribs is intense and I feel like if he squeezes any harder he's going to crush me. I stop hitting him and start pushing against his hand. It's not making much of a difference but there's still some difference being made. I look at him and terror starts to make my situation worse. He's looking at me with hungry eyes and I can't tell if he wants to crush me to death or eat me.
He lifts me farther up until I'm directly in his face. I think he's about to say something when he starts stumbling sideways. He crashes into a building and his grip on me releases. I don't mean to scream as I'm falling it just escapes me naturally. Before I hit the ground someone catches me, places me on a nearby roof, and zips away. My eyes widen at the scene of a man wearing blue and red just casually flying off.
"I'm going insane." I mutter as make my way to the side and look over.
The man who kept me from becoming pavement art was fighting with the giant. The giant got a few good hits in and I thought the man in color was done for. However, he kept coming back and eventually won the fight.
I stayed on the roof as the authorities responded. A few minutes later the guy in the odd costume was flying back towards me and I back away from the edge. He landed gracefully in front of me the sunshine blinding as I try to see his face. I was staring at his shoes and my eyes wandered upward taking in his appearance.
Once I got to his face I thought this had to be a joke. There's no way I'm conscious right now. I'm dreaming, or dead, or I'm in a coma, or something! I knew there was absolutely no way that this man before me could fly. I'm sure the confusion on my face was showing greatly because he asked me if I was alright.
I couldn't respond. The words were stuck in my throat and the world was starting to spin on me, not just my head. I held a hand out in attempt to focus but it wasn't really doing a whole lot. I look at him again and he's looking at me concerned. "Derek?" I whisper before my world goes dark and I collapse. Before I hit the ground, the man in tights catches me, the concern intensifying on his face.
A/N: Well? Whatcha think? Have I gotten your attention yet? The chapters are definitely going to be shorter than my usual ones so I hope you don't mind. Please don't forget to like, fav, and review!
Much love!
