CHAPTER 50

The sun rises majestically over the horizon, shedding a golden light on the still waters of the lake. Nathan and Elizabeth, a couple in love, had carefully planned a special day for their little family. It was Saturday, and the promise of a day filled with love and joy hung in the air. They wanted a special day, as well as a way to cheer up Alien, who had been sad for days because of Robert's departure for the mountie battalion.

The family prepared enthusiastically, gathering blankets, snack baskets and eager smiles. Nathan carried a basket full of delicious treats, while Elizabeth held the small, trusting hands of Alien and Little Jack. The birds sang a soft symphony, accompanying them as they made their way to the lake.

As they approached the shores of the lake, the view was simply breathtaking. The reflection of the sun danced on the water, creating a palette of extended, shimmering colors. Nathan and Elizabeth shared a look full of love and gratitude, recognizing what a victory it was to have such a close-knit family.

Their children ran ahead, their innocent laughter echoing off the shores of the lake. Alien, with his curiosity, explored his surroundings, while Little Jack, with his charming expression, followed in his older sister's footsteps, giggling and running with his little legs shaking. The parents watched with tenderness, every moment capturing the pure and unparalleled essence of childhood.

They arrived at a perfect snack spot, spreading out the colorful blanket on the soft grass. Nathan unrolled a feast lovingly prepared by Elizabeth, filled with sandwiches, fresh fruit, fried chicken, cookies and muffins. The little ones looked eagerly at the food, their eyes shining with motivation. Alien might have been a teenager, but she acted when she looked at that feast in the same way that little Jack did, a look of desire, of a salivating mouth; Nathan couldn't deny it, he also had his mouth salivating, his little wife Elizabeth, had a divine hand and that snack looked super appetizing.

On the balmy summer afternoon, Nathan and Elizabeth shared an intimate moment by the lake. Sitting on a colorful blanket, they enjoyed a buffet full of delicacies while the sun set over the horizon. Fresh strawberries, red and juicy, were arranged in a small basket, waiting to be savored.

Elizabeth, with a twinkle in her eye, picked up a ripe strawberry and held it delicately between her fingers. Her gaze met Nathan's, and a mischievous smile danced on her lips. Nathan's heart already anticipated the eternity that was about to happen.

With an affectionate gesture, Elizabeth moved away from Nathan. Their gazes met, and the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in the center of a romantic scene. She held out the strawberry towards Nathan's mouth, offering him the red fruit as a symbol of the love they shared.

He opened his lips, allowing her to gently deposit the strawberry in his mouth. The sweet, juicy taste flooded his senses, but it was the delicate touch of Elizabeth's fingers on his lips that made the moment transcend the mere gastronomic experience. It was an intimate gesture, full of meaning, an act of love that went beyond the barriers of everyday life.

After savoring the strawberry, Nathan felt the warmth of Elizabeth's hand on his face. Tenderly, she slid her fingers around the corners of his lips, removing any trace of the red juice. Her eyes turned to him again, but now they carried a different glow, a flame of passion that ignited with every shared gesture.

Nathan's heart raced wildly. This simple act, so full of intimacy and affection, had ignited an even more intense flame in his chest. He held Elizabeth's gaze, losing himself in the depth of those eyes that reflected the love they shared.

The silence around them was necessitated only by the soft sounds of nature and the quickening of hearts in love. Nathan invited Elizabeth into a warm embrace, sealing the moment with a gentle kiss. Under a sky tinged with tons of warmth, they saw, once again, that love manifested itself in the simplest and most sincere gestures. He was the happiest man on the face of the earth, he had that beautiful woman with his wife, and their two beautiful children, and if God blessed them, they would have some more children in the future.

As they enjoyed their lunch, the conversation was soft and full of laughter. Elizabeth looked at Nathan with admiration, silently thanking him for the life they had built together. Nathan, in turn, felt deep gratitude for the woman at his side and for the children who were a manifestation of their love.

After lunch, the family played lively games. They ran through the grass, played catch and dipped their feet in the crystal clear water of the lake. Every moment was filled with smiles, hugs and shared joy.

The snack had left the family refreshed, ready to explore the wonders that the day by the lake still had in store. The children, Alien and Little Jack, laughed happily, eager for the games to come. Nathan and Elizabeth, beaming with happiness, led the way, holding hands and hearts beating in tune.

The soft grass became the stage for their games. Children's laughter echoed through the surroundings as they indulged in a heated game of catch. Alien, with her agile movements, seemed to float across the field, daring her parents to catch up with her. Little Jack, with his clumsy steps, ran behind, his infectious laughter filling the air. Elizabeth was pure laughter, her eyes silently communicating with her husband how blessed they were.

The sunlight filtered through the leaves of the trees, creating patterns of dancing shadows on the ground. With every run, every chatter, the family connected in a unique way, strengthening the bonds that united them. The smiles were contagious, the hugs sincere, and the love overflowed in every gesture.

The game of catch soon turned into a lively session of dipping their toes in the crystal-clear water of the lake. The children giggled as the cool water caressed their ankles, and the adults, holding hands, joined in the fun. Drops of water sparkled in the sun's rays, creating a spectacle of light and nuclei.

Elizabeth, in her playful spirit, grabbed Nathan's hand and splashed water on his face, causing him to take her in his arms and twirl her around in the air, stealing a little kiss without the children seeing... The two shared a moment of complicity, laughing as the gentle waves caressed their feet. The children, watching their parents enjoying themselves, joined in the fun, splashing water on each other in an impromptu and amusing war.

Every moment was precious, and the contagious joy spread like a wave, enveloping the family in an atmosphere of pure love. The hugs were tight, the laughter resonated and, between one joke and the next, it was clear that it wasn't just the lake that reflected the beauty of this day, but the vibrant and intense love that united each member of this family in an unbreakable bond.

As the sun began to give way to the horizon, one family left the shores of the lake behind, carrying with them the sweet exhaustion of a day filled with laughter and play. The way home was marked by tired muscles, but also by the smiles that lit up Nathan and Elizabeth's faces.

The steps were slow, each family member absorbing the last remnants of that magical atmosphere. Alien, although still full of energy, walked alongside her parents, sharing complicit glances and amused smiles. Little Jack, however, had succumbed to happy fatigue, and his small eyes were closed as he rested on Nathan's shoulders.

- Daddy, I love you... said the sleepy boy, before his eyes closed completely.

- I love you too, my son... Nathan knew he was in deep sleep, but the love he had for his little son was enormous.

Elizabeth looked at the scene with tenderness, a sigh of contentment escaping her lips. Nathan, although he could feel the weight of tiredness, carried Little Jack with the delicacy of someone holding something precious. The little sleeper, wrapped in a serene calm, was the embodiment of childhood tiredness after a day full of adventures.

Dusk painted the sky with tons of orange and pink, and the quiet atmosphere contrasted with the lively excitement the family had brought with them. Each step was accompanied by the gentle whisper of nature, as the trees swayed their leaves to the rhythm of the night breeze.

As they reached the entrance to the house, the smiles on the family's faces shone brighter than ever. The day had been more than just a journey to the lake; it was a chapter of memories that would become part of the fabric that bound every member of that happy family together. Nathan carefully settled Little Jack in his room, covering him with the warm comfort of his favorite comforter. Tiredness turned into a rewarding sensation as each member of the family indulged in some well-deserved rest. The silence of the night was broken only by Little Jack's quiet sighs and the soft laughter of the household getting ready for the night. Even though they were tired, the smiles remained, like updated memories of a day that would be kept forever in the album of their lives. It was a happy family, united by love, joy and the little moments that made life's journey so extraordinary.

The day flowed smoothly, like a harmonious melody. The love between Nathan and Elizabeth radiated, enveloping the family in a warm and comforting aura. The sunset painted the sky with tons of orange and pink, marking the end of an unforgettable day.

As the daylight slowly faded, the family walked back home, embraced by the love they shared by the lake. At that moment, the lake was not only a stunning backdrop, but a living testimony to the love that strengthens the bonds of this loving family. That night ended perfectly, with Nathan in her arms between kisses and whispers, where moans muffled by her mouth filled him with pleasure and sweat, before he fell asleep with his beautiful wife in his arms.
