Welcome True Believers to Spider-Man! For those who don't know me, my name is mpsullivan. I usually write rewrites of Tokusatsu shows, though I've done two that are uncompleted. I'm taking a break from those for now but I will come back to them. But I want to introduce you to my most ambitious project yet that I hope I can make into an animated series. This series is... different. By different I mean... well, you'll see.

Great Power
It is morning in the beautiful city of New York City, the city that never sleeps. People were walking down the street getting to their destinations, mostly businesspeople. The sun shines over the Empire State Building.
In a suburban neighborhood of New York, two teenagers were waiting at the bus stop, one male and one female. The male teenager, on the left, was a seventeen-year-old with brown hair messy hair. He was wearing a white buttoned-up shirt, tan kakis, black shoes, and had glasses. This was Peter Parker.
The girl on her right had long blonde hair, with a pink headband on top, reaching her shoulders. She was wearing a pink sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, brown shoes, and has glasses as well. She had an essence of beauty and child-like innocence within her. This was Gwen Stacy.
"School days, school days, dear old Golden Rule days! 'Reading and 'riting and 'rithmetic, taught to the tune of the hick'ry stick!" The two sang, waiting for the bus stop.
"Hey! You damn kids! Shut up, I'm trying to read the paper!" An old man shouted at them in the background.
"Oh. Sorry, sir!" Peter apologized.
"Go to hell!" The old man responded, and the two stop singing and continued to wait for the bus.
"Are you still excited for the field trip tomorrow?" Gwen asked and Peter nodded yes.
"It's cool if you think about it. We're getting a tour of OsCorp! Harry practically owns the place!" Peter exclaimed with enthusiasm. Harry Osborn was another one of their best friends.
"I won't say that. But it does sound cool. Radioactivity and the technology they probably have displayed," Gwen said.
"Maybe they'll let me have a new camera," Peter suggested.
"They have those?" Gwen asked.
"They've developed camera, flashlights, cellphones, binoculars, walkie-talkies, you name it!" Peter said.
"Walkie-talkies? Why would they make their version of those?" Gwen asked.
"I don't know," Peter shrugged, as the yellow school bus arrived. The bus doors opened, and Peter and Gwen climbed aboard. The one driving the bus was a Hispanic female bus driver with black curly long hair.
"Good morning, Luciana," Peter greeted the Hispanic bus driver.
"Sit down! We're running late!" Luciana shouted at them, and she closed the bus doors and drove off.
Peter and Gwen look for seats on the bus for them to sit at. They tried to make is passed the students, until Peter then gets tripped by a foot. The kids on the bus and laughs. The one who tripped Peter was Flash Thompson, age 17 and well-built. He had blonde hair, a turquoise varsity jacket of their school, Midtown High School, and blue pants and black shoes. Next to him was his girlfriend, Liz Allan. Liz was an attractive Hispanic girl wearing a cheerleader outfit of her school colors and white shoes.
"Be quiet back there!" Luciana shouted and the whole class stopped laughing.
"Yeah, whatever. Fat bitch," Flash muttered underneath his mouth.
"What did you say?!" Luciana quickly turns her head to Flash.
"I said I had a bad itch!" Flash lied.
"Oh," Luciana said, turning her eyes back to the road. Peter and Gwen made their way to the back of the bus, the only empty seats for them, breathing heavily from the crowd of kids.
"Flash is never going to leave us alone, is he?" Peter asked and Gwen shook her head no. "I don't get it. What did we do to him anyways?"
"Get better grades?" Gwen assumed, unsure herself why Flash likes to bully her and Peter every chance he got.
Midtown High School
Peter and Gwen grab their books from their lockers, which were consequently next to each, closed them. As they were walking, they were tripped onto the ground. The people around them laugh. The ones who tripped them stepped out and they were Liz Allan and Sally Avril. Sally, like Liz, was a cheerleader, hence her outfit, with blonde hair reaching for her back and brown eyes. You could say that Sally had a rotten personality with looks that matched.
"Two points to the girls! We're sure to beat Flash and the boys!" Liz told Sally.
"That's right," Sally nodded to Liz.
"I didn't know there was a competition going on now," Gwen whispered to Peter, as the people step forward and stop before them. They were two football jocks wearing their varsity jackets. The first one was very large in size but muscular and was bald. This is football star, Kenny McFarlane, or known for his nickname "Kong". Kenny's fellow jock, on his left, had messy chestnut hair and was less muscular. His name is Jason Ionello.
Jason unzips his backpack and dumps all his stuff onto Peter and Gwen, causing a laugh around them.
"Now that's three points for us. Ladies don't feel too bad if you lose," Jason mocked the two girls.
"Don't get cocky. We girls still have the rest of the day to increase the score on our side," Liz crosses her arms.
"I call time out!" A voice called out, and the six turn to see a young man with reddish hair in horizontal cornrows. He was wearing a green polo shirt, with a blue jacket, black pants and black shoes, and had freckles on his face. This was Harry Osborn.
"No one invited you, Osborn!" Kenny exclaimed.
"Can't you four and Flash leave them alone for one day?" Harry requested, noticing someone was missing. "And where's Flash?"
As almost if it was on cue, a football flew a collided into Peter's head.
"Four for the boys!" Flash called out, as he ran and received high fives from Kenny and Jason.
"You guys are really mature, you know that?" Harry asked, sarcastically.
"If you want to see mature, check this out," Sally smirked, as she took out some tampons, which caught everyone off guard.
"Oh my god!" Flash blurted out.
"Are you crazy?!" Jason exclaimed.
"You're going to dump those on them?!" Kenny asked.
"Unbelievable," Harry sighed.
"Woah, woah, Sally! What are you doing?! Where did you even get that shit?!" Liz shouted.
"I got them at Target," Sally replied, as she dumped the tampons onto Gwen, causing laughter with almost everyone around her. "You know what those are, Stacy? Those are tampons. Maybe if you mature enough, you'll probably have a chance to be pregnant."
"Sally," Liz was in shock.
"What's going on here?!" A voice demanded and everyone turned to see their science professor, Raymond Warren. He was an Indian man in his mid-50, with balding black hair and a black moustache. He wore a red tie over his dark blue sweater wore his signature lab coat almost always. "Is there a reason why Mr. Parker and Ms. Stacy are on the floor with pencils and…"
Professor Warren couldn't even say the second thing that was over Gwen.
"Miss Allan, Miss Avril, Mr. Ionello, Mr. McFarlane, and Mr. Thompson, I will see all five of you after gym," Professor Warren said, as he went back to teach his first class.
"Here," Harry helps Peter and Gwen up from their feet and the three move far away from the five bullies.
"At least we're tied with the boys, Liz," Sally smiled, proud of her accomplishment.
"Shut the fuck up, Sally," Liz hissed at Sally, disguised of her actions.
After the three were far away from the five, Peter and Gwen were relieved.
"Peter, Gwen, when are you two going to learn to not get in their firing zone?" Harry asked.
"Why? Are you getting annoyed of helping us?" Peter asked, in an accidental rude tone.
"Look clearly this is have a mental impact on both of you," Harry pointed out. "You got to talk to someone about this."
"You're not friends with us out of sympathy, right?" Gwen asked, her innocence in her eyes gleaming.
"No! Sally took it too far and I'm annoyed that she, Jason, and Kenny dumped their stuff on you!" Harry told the two. "I just… don't want you two to hurt yourself."
Peter and Gwen forced a smile after hearing Harry's words.
"Thank you, Mr. Osborn. Mind if I take it from here?" Professor Warren requested. "You're going to be late for class."
"Of course," Harry nodded, as he walked off to get to class.
"Now, Mr. Parker, Ms. Stacy. I'm going to talk to them after gym class. If they do anything like this again to either of you, don't hesitate to talk to me or another adult," Professor Warren advised the two. "You understand?"
"Yes, Professor Warren," Peter nodded.
"Yes, sir," Gwen nodded.
"Good. Then I'll trust you'll do your best to have a good day," Professor Warren said, as he went off to teach his first class of the day.
Midtown High School: Lunchroom
It was 12:00, meaning that it was time for lunch. Peter, Gwen, and Harry were waiting in line for lunch.
"Man, I can't determine what the x is for the trigonometry paper. Mrs. Pervis barely gave us a understandable explanation," Harry complained to Peter and Gwen.
"If it makes you feel any better, I don't understand it either," Gwen said, trying to be positive, as it was the three's turn to get lunch. Severing the lunch was Jerome McElroy, known for his nickname, Chef. He is an overweight African American male with a black beard, wearing a red shirt, blue pants and black shoes. Over his shirt and pants was an apron, which had his nickname on it.
"Hello there, children!" Chef greeted.
"Hey, Chef," The three greeted Chef back.
"How's it going?" Chef asked.
"Bad," Peter told Chef.
"Why bad?" Chef asked. "Is it those kids again?"
Peter and Gwen nodded.
Chef sighs, "Okay what did they do this time?"
"Well, they're keeping score now and dumped pencils onto Peter," Harry told Chef.
"Well, that's definitely mature of them," Chef said sarcastically.
"That's what I said," Harry pointed out.
"I just don't know what to do anymore. They've been at us since day one of high school," Peter said with sorrow in his voice.
"Well, they can't bully you forever. The sooner you focus on your studies the better you won't have to deal with them," Chef advised Peter and Gwen.
"Uh, Chef. I do have one thing to ask," Gwen spoke up.
"What is it, Gwen?" Chef asked.
"What is a tampon? Sally dumped these things that are connected to strings She said if I'll mature enough, I'll get pregnant. What does she mean by that?" Gwen told Chef, who was trying to come up with an answer as appropriate. Gwen had not yet finished puberty yet and she had not been informed by one specific aspect.
"I don't want to touch that topic with a 40-foot pole," Chef responded to Gwen, who had a confused expression on her face.
Gymnasium
Flash jumps from the floor and makes a basket in the hoop, hanging the basket after.
"That's what I'm talking about Thompson!" Coach Boulanger praised, as Flash let goes of the basket and lands on his feet.
"That's how you do it, ladies," Flash told the entire class, as the class was in irritation of his comment.
"You think you can do better?! Kong! You're up!" Coach Boulanger threw a basketball to Kenny, who bounces the ball a couple of times before making the basket and ball going through the hoop. "That's what I'm talking about, King Kong!"
Coach Boulanger applauds Kenny for making the shot, with Kenny celebrating by pounding his chest like a gorilla.
"So, who's next?" Coach Boulanger asked.
"Please don't call on me. Please don't call on me," Peter quietly prayed to himself.
"Parker, you're up!" Coach Boulanger exclaimed.
"Oh crap," Peter sighed as Coach Boulanger threw the basketball at Peter and somehow, he managed to catch it. Peter makes it to the basket, hoping to make the shot.
"Come on, Puny Parker!" Flash called out. Puny Parker has been Peter's nickname since Peter wasn't such a great fighter nor good at fighting back, hell, he never even fought in a fight before.
"Come on, we got things to do!" Sally exclaimed and Peter gulped.
"God damn it, Parker just shoot the damn basket!" Coach Boulanger ordered and Peter threw the ball. But instead of hitting the basket, it just hits the backboard, missing the short. "Jesus Christ, what the hell was that?! You throw like a woman! A fucking woman!"
"I have to disagree. A woman can be capable at basketball," Liz told Coach Boulanger.
"Do you want to make the basket next?!" Coach Boulanger asked.
"Oh, no, we all know that's not my field," Liz joked.
"Fine! We'll have a different girl to prove your point! Stacy!" Coach Boulanger barked at Gwen, who had been sitting out. Gwen jumps as she heard her name. Gwen looks behind her and back at Mr. Boulanger, pointing at herself. "What you think there's another chick with the same last name as you! Get up and prove Miss Allan's point!"
"Um... Thank you, but I've been requested to sit out until further notice by you," Gwen politely told Mr. Boulanger.
"I don't give a damn what I said then! Listen to what I'm telling you now!" Mr. Boulanger ordered as Gwen gets up from the bleachers, unconfident with every step she took. She made her way towards the basket like Peter before her. She throws the ball to the backboard, but it bounces off the background and the basketball start bouncing back to her. Coach Boulanger was shocked and disappointed at the same time, while Sally couldn't help but giggle.
Gwen didn't say anything. Instead, she made her way back to her seating spot on the bleachers, embarrassed.
"What was that decision, Coach?" Jason asked.
"Dunno," Coach Boulanger shrugged.
Parker House
Peter was having dinner time with his Uncle Ben and Aunt May, his prominent family figures in his life. Ben Parker was an elderly man at the age of 68 with gray hair that represents his wisdom, wrinkles to show his experience throughout life, and he was wearing a dark green button-up short-sleeved shirt.
May Parker was a woman at the age of 64. She had white hair wrapped in a bun, arched eyebrows that represents her sternness that she projects sometimes, and she was wearing a pink blouse and blue jeans.
Uncle Ben and Aunt May were the only parental figures Peter had in his life, since his parents died in a plane crash when he was just 7 years old. Since then, Peter looked up to the two as a form of guidance he would need in his life.
While they were having dinner, the lightbulb on the chandelier started flickering.
"Ben, that lightbulb is flickering again," May told Ben, who looked up and noticed.
"Is it? I just fixed it last week. Don't worry. I'll fix it tomorrow when Peter's at the field trip," Ben reassured his wife, who noticed that Peter had been quiet.
"Peter, you're awfully quiet. Did something happen?" Aunt May asked.
"No," Peter shook his head no.
"It's that Flash kid again, is it?" Uncle Ben asked Peter, taking a bite of a piece of chicken. Uncle Ben somehow was able to know exactly what was going on with Peter's school life. It was almost an instinct.
"Really, it's nothing. I…" Peter tries to avoid the subject.
"Did you get in a fight with Flash?" Uncle Ben asked and Peter shook his head no. "Did you have a confrontation with Flash?"
Peter nods his head yes.
"And did you retaliate?" Uncle Ben asks his last question and Peter shook his head no. "Good. That's good."
"But I'm tired of it. I wish I could just stand up to him and…!" Peter exclaimed.
"Peter. Peter," Uncle Ben calms Peter down. "Did you tell someone?"
"Well… Professor Warren saw it and said that they were going to talk to Flash and his friends for what he did to me and Gwen today," Peter told Uncle Ben.
"That's good. I'm proud of you," Uncle Ben smiled at Peter. To be honest, Peter didn't feel proud of himself. Sure, he was a scientific mind, but he was not the most social person at the school. His intellect and unwillingness to get physical, mostly due to how he was raised and how he was built, made him a constant target for bullying. But Uncle Ben and Aunt May always made the end of the day satisfying, despite what had happened at school. "You excited for the field trip?"
That topic changed Peter's mood almost instantly.
"Yeah," Peter nods.
"But I would suggest you be careful. You might get a shock if you touch something," Aunt May advised Peter, who couldn't help but smile a bit.
"Don't worry, Aunt May. I'm not going to touch anything without asking," Peter reassured Aunt May as he took another bite of a piece of a chicken.
OsCorp Tower
The school bus had made its stop at the OsCorp Tower for the field trip. The students stepped out of the bus with Peter and Gwen being dead last.
"Okay, listen up, students. I want all of us to be on our best behavior. If you want to touch something, ask first. You can take pictures unless some exhibits are prohibited from them. And lastly, there will be no pranks. We must be professional. Understand, Mr. Thompson?" Professor Warren advised the students before setting his eyes on Flash, who annoyingly nods. "Good. Now we shall begin."
The automatic doors opened, and the class entered the OsCorp building. Inside, it was extraordinary, to Peter and Gwen at least. It looked like a lobby for a hotel.
"Wow, incredible," Gwen was in awe.
"I know, right," Peter agreed.
"Nice of you two to show up," Harry makes his presence known.
"You're lucky that you get to skip school. Since you live here and all," Gwen said to Harry.
"Will your dad be here, Harry?" Peter asked.
"Sorry, but no. He's on a business trip in California. He didn't tell me who he was going to see, nor did I get the chance to ask him," Harry told the two.
"So, who's going to be our guide then?" Gwen asked, as footsteps approached and approaching the class was a man wearing a white lab coat. He had brown hair and blue eyes, but the most significant and noticeable thing about the man was that he was missing his right arm.
"Sorry I'm late everyone," The man apologized.
"You weren't late at all Connors," Professor Warren assured the scientist.
Chef appears behind Peter, Gwen, and Harry and greets them, "Hello there, children."
The three turned to Chef and greeted back, "Hey, Chef."
"Now, I want you to not point out what that scientist is missing," Chef advised the three.
"I practically live here, Chef. I never pointed that out about Dr. Connors," Harry told Chef.
"Dr. Connors?" Peter questioned.
"He's a scientist that works with my dad," Harry told Peter.
"I've heard of him. I've done research for OsCorp for preparation for the field trip. He and his wife are part of a huge project," Peter told Gwen and Harry.
"Excuse me," Dr. Connors said to Peter as the four turned to the scientist. "Excitement I assume."
Peter nods his head.
"That's alright. I was your age when I wanted to develop discoveries for science," Dr. Connors reassured Peter. "Just don't get overexcited, okay?"
Peter nods his head yes and Dr. Connors smiles at Peter then turns back to the class.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Curtis Connors. Welcome to OsCorp," Dr. Connors greets the class.
Dr. Connors has the class follow him up to a flight of stairs to the left (the entrance door's left) side.
"As of right now, OsCorp is one of the top 5 companies with the highest market and we don't buy other companies to expand our market," Dr. Connors told the students before squeezing in a little joke, in which the class laughs at it a bit.
Dr. Connors soon leads the class to a floor of the OsCorp tower, more specifically a room which had a lot artificial technology being developed.
"For all the smartphones you have. That's us. For all the cameras, flashlights, and stopwatches. That's us. And here is one of the best in our tech field," Dr. Connors told the class, as he made his way to an old man, most likely in his late early 70s. He had old spectacles over his grey eyes, a white button-up jacket, a brown blazer jacket, tan kakis, and black shoes. "Midtown High School let me introduce you to the genius inventor, Phineas Mason."
The elderly man, Phineas, didn't respond.
"Uh, Phineas," Dr. Connors kindly tapped Phineas on the right shoulder, gaining his attention.
"Huh? Oh, sorry, Dr. Connors," Phineas apologized. "I was just adding some adjustments to this jet pack for the military. It's still a prototype but if the military is impressed, they'll well be able to advance the prototype to each soldier's liking."
Gwen raises her hand.
"Yes, young lady," Phineas calls on Gwen.
"So, could you make anything?" Gwen asked.
"Anything mechanical to prosthetic, yes," Phineas nods, as Gwen absorbed his answer.
"Now, let's move on to some other exhibits," Dr. Connors said to the students, as they followed Dr. Connors, except for Gwen, who went up to Phineas.
"Can I help you with something?" Phineas asked Gwen. "You should be with your class."
"When is Dr. Connor's birthday?" Gwen asks.
"Well, it's around July 26. Why?" Phineas wonders, as Gwen whispers something in his ear. Phineas eyes widen from Gwen's request.
"Could you do that for him, please?" Gwen asked.
"I'll see what I can do for Curt," Phineas smiled at Gwen, who smiled back. "Now, run along. You don't want to miss the rest of the tour."
"I won't! Thank you!" Gwen thanked Phineas as she runs off to catch up with her class.
"And don't run, there's some dangerous stuff that can hurt you!" Phineas advised Gwen, who slowed down a bit.
Two doors opened like an elevator and Dr. Connors guided the class to a laboratory.
"You in geek heaven, Parker?" Flash asked, as he shoves his right arm into Peter's left arm, with his left arm around Liz.
"This is probably our biggest project yet," Dr. Connors told the class.
"And it wouldn't have been carefully successful if not the wife interfered," A woman with red short hair and hazel eyes, wearing a green shirt and a brown skirt over a lab coat and a black heels spoke up as she walked towards Dr. Connors.
"Midtown High School, may I introduce my lovely wife, Martha, the head of this big project," Dr. Connors introduced the woman to the class.
"Well, one of them people in charge," Martha corrected her husband, before she stepped forward to the class. "Now, Midtown, let me tell you a story. Five years ago, we wondered the possibility of animals being genetically enhanced for their species to survive. As you've probably heard there are many animals that are going on the verge of extinction. And that's where our project comes to play."
Martha displays 15 glass storage container; each contained a single spider. This had the class intrigued, while some were disgusted by just the sight of the spiders.
"Spiders. Ugh," Sally comments in disgust. "Of all things, why spiders?"
"We have tried many insects, mammals, aquatic animals, birds, and reptiles in the past five years. Eels, lizards, lions, wolves, bats, bears, monkeys, rabbits, and scorpions are our most notable examples. But the spiders proved to be our most successful additions to the project," Martha explained.
"So, are these genetically enhanced spiders on displayed examples?" Peter asked.
"There are multiple spiders who haven't survive throughout the experiments. These 15 spiders are the ones that successfully adapted to the enhancements we made," Martha explained as she showed the spiders to the class. From top to bottom, from left to right, each of them had a certain numbered label to them. "Now. If there are any..."
"There's 14," Gwen corrected Martha.
"Excuse me?" Martha asked, raising her left eyebrow.
"One's missing," Gwen pointed the middle glass storage container which was labeled No. 56.
"Oh... I guess... my husband brought No. 56 for further experimentation," Martha assumed, confused on where the spider has gone. Little did everyone know, there was a spider on its web.
"What's wrong?" Dr. Connors asks.
"Oh, I was just telling them on how you are doing more experimentation for No. 56," Martha told her husband.
"What do you mean?" Dr. Connors asks, which had the class worried.
"Hey, wait a minute! Do you mean to tell me that you husband let that spider lose?!" Chef speaks up.
"Now, calm down," Dr. Connors gestures. "We're not sure if the spider has escaped or not."
"Calm down?! Spiders have venom you know! And humans and spider venom do not mix well! How do we know this spider of yours isn't going to kill someone?!" Chef exclaims, frustrated.
"I don't want to be bitten by that spider and die!" Sally screamed.
"Let me at it, I'll crush it!" Kenny cracks his knuckles with determination.
"Now, Chef, Sally, and Kenny, let's all remain calm! The Connors will just retrace their steps and while they do that, just look around the laboratory. Remember don't touch anything!" Professor Warren told the class. The Connors went to find the missing spider.
"Is it really that dangerous?" Gwen asked Peter and Harry.
"I don't know. But we should be careful," Harry suggested.
"Hey, Gwen, Harry. Could I take a picture of you guys?" Peter asked. "It's for school's social media page."
Harry was hesitant at first, due to his worry of the spider biting Peter.
"Alright, but beware of your surroundings," Harry sighed, and Peter smiled. Gwen and Harry got by the spiders, with Gwen covering the glass storage container that had the missing spider. Speaking of the missing spider, it descends from its web, reaching for a target.
Peter takes a couple of pictures of Gwen and Harry together.
"Uh, Gwen, could you step forward a bit I don't want you to knock anything over," Peter asked Gwen.
"Well... Okay," Gwen said, as she stepped forward. Peter takes three more photos as the spider finds a target, crawling on the floor. The spider sets its eyes of Peter, Gwen, and Harry.
"Harry, now me and Gwen," Peter hands the camera to Harry, as he switches places with him and takes a picture of Peter and Gwen. The next picture contained Peter and Harry, with Gwen taking the picture, with the last photo being Peter, Gwen, and Harry together.
Peter checks the photos on the camera, making sure if it's the images they need.
"Okay. I think that's all we need," Peter smiles at Gwen and Harry, as the spider crawls up on a laboratory table and makes a move on Peter.
"That's a relief! I think I'm going to be sick to my stomach," Gwen said as she felt nauseous in her stomach. "Yeah, I'm going to rest in my room after this."
"Sorry," Harry apologized.
"No, no. It's alright," Gwen reassured Harry. "Though, I may need some help on the bus."
Harry holds Gwen as the two make it to the bus. The spider takes this time to jump onto Peter's jacket.
"Gwen, feel better!" Peter called out, as the spider made it to Peter's right hand and bits out. Peter yelps in pain as he throws the spider in the ground. "What was that?"
Peter then remembering the escaped spider, he feels a sense of fright as he makes his way to the bus.
As the bus was driving back to school, Gwen takes deep breaths to try and get the spiders out of her mind.
"Feel better?" Harry asked.
Gwen pauses for a moment and responds with, "No, it's still in there."
"Just shift your mind to something else and…" Harry told Gwen before noticing Peter not looking so well. "Hey, Pete. Are you okay?"
Peter pauses as he then looks at Harry, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just feeling sick."
"It was the thought of the spider biting you, right?" Gwen asks and Peter nods. "I agree. I wouldn't want to imagine what the spider's venom could do to a person. But Peter you look very, very ill and you're sweating. Seriously, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just need to go home and drink a glass of water before I go to bed," Peter said, still feeling woozy, rubbing his eyes.
OsCorp
Back as OsCorp, Curt and Martha Connors were retracing their steps to find the missing spider. They made it to the last room where it oversees the experiments of radioactivity.
"This is the last place where we saw the spider," Martha breathes in worry.
"Okay, so we were holding the spider, Donald Menken can here to analyze our process, we had him hold the spider, he threw it back in the jar and…" Dr. Connors recaps the events, before he turns to the jar where Menken threw the spider in. However, the jar was unlidded. "Oh… fuck us."
Parker House
"The lord said they would be light and voila!" Ben said, as he finally fixed the lightbulb on the chandelier. "There was light."
"God would be thrilled. But you really didn't have to do it, Ben," May said to her husband.
"Our electrician got laid off after 35 years of his service, all because big companies our downsizing hard-working employees trying to have money to make a living, but the companies are upsizing their profits," Ben told May, as he climbed down the ladder as walked over to the sink and handed a green dish to his wife.
"Thank you. Don't worry, Ben, you'll find another job," May says to Ben, cleaning the dish.
"May, I'm 68 years old, I have a family to provide for and the only job openings I can find are related to computers and I'm too old for computers," Ben walks to the tables and sits in a chair, just as May had finished cooking dinner.
"You'll find something. I love you and Peter loves you. You are the most responsible man I know. We've been through situations like this before. But somehow, we survived," May told her husband, later kissing him on the forehead. Peter then opens the front door and returns home. "Hi Peter. You're just in time for..."
May notices Peter looking different from when he left this morning.
"Are you alright? You look ill," May asked, worried.
"H-hey. How was the field trip?" Ben asked, trying to have Peter and May to focus on something else.
"Oh, good. Sorry, I don't feel well I think I'm just going to crash," Peter says to his aunt and uncle before walking up the stairs.
"Without dinner?" May asked.
"D-did you get any pictures?" Ben asked, as he watched Peter walked up the stairs from the railing.
"I just heard something there that made me sick to my stomach. Everything's fine," Peter reassured his parental figures, shutting the door of his bedroom.
"What the hell was that all about?" Ben asked.
In Peter's room, Peter strips into his underwear, looking more ill than ever. His eyes became red and puffy, his muscles spasms, he was sweating like crazy. Peter collapsed on his bed and started to shake as his condition worsened. Overnight, Peter's DNA and genes started to go thrown a transformation, one no one could've possibly seen before.
And that was the first episode of my new Spider-Man series. As you can tell this is a mix between Spider-Man and South Park out of all things. This is probably going to be the most crazy thing I'm ever going to do.
The series will mainly take insipration from the Stan Lee/Steve Ditko/John Romita Sr. of the Amazing Spider-Man comics, the Ultimate Comics, the Sam Raimi Trilogy, the Marc Web Duology, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and the Spectacular Spider-Man.
For the animation, I envision it to be similar to the 1988 anime film Akira. I just love how fluid the animation is and it influenced me to make that the animation for my Spider-Man series.
For the voices, I've had specific voice actors I've envisioned in my mind. I casted anime voice actors from the late 90s and early 2000s and Power Rangers actors from the first 10 seasons in my mind. Examples include Joshua Seth (as Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Colleen O'Shaughnessey (as Gwen Stacy), Derek Stephen Prince (as Harry Osborn), Barbara Goodson (as Aunt May), Michael Forest (as Uncle Ben), Michael McConnohie (as Professor Warren), Dorothy Elias-Fahn (as Sally Avril and Martha Connors), Kim Strauss (as Curt Connors), and Simon Prescott (as Phineas Mason) The rest of the cast that I selected is on my account page. I suggest you check that out so you can envison the voices of the characters while you're reading. I will introduce more characters and assign voice actors to them in the future.
As for this episode, I took a lot of material from Amazing Fantasy #15, Ultimate Spider-Man #1, the first Spider-Man movie, and the Spectacular Spider-Man episode "Intervention". Curt and Martha Connors are in the role of Dr. Eric Schwinner in my series, like they were in the Spectacular Spider-Man. Liz Allan being Hispanic, Professor Warren being Indian, Gwen wearing glasses, Peter, Gwen, and Harry being best friends, also came from Spectacular Spider-Man. Now I'm not going woke for my stories, I'm just adapting what Spectacular did with those characters. Those are just examples on what I'll be adapting from the sources I've listed above.
With that out of the way, I want to say thank you so much for reading this... thing. What did you think of the first episode? What do you think of Peter, Gwen, and Harry in the series so far? What villains do you think we'll see? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Again, thank you so much for reading. I hope you all have a nice day or night and I'll see you soon.
