The next day
Lincoln woke up next to ash and mallow
he couldn't sleep due to what had happened so he crashed with them
Z had been apologizing ever since it happened despite being told that it wasn't his fault
Lincoln needed someone to talk to
"hey ash mallow you up?" Lincoln asked
"yea what's up?" Ash asked
"is everything ok?" Mallow asked
"yea I just need someone to talk to." Lincoln said
"what's up?" Mallow asked
"it's just about everything that has happened." Lincoln said "when I got impaled everything kinda just slowed down and I could feel myself slipping away from the mortal world."
"yeah you get used to it after the second time." Ash said
"alright both of you are going to therapy." Mallow said
"aww man." Ash said
"are you sure?" Lincoln asked
"yes if you won't do it for us do it for wes and the others." Mallow said
"ok I'll do it." Lincoln said

eventually everyone gathered for breakfast
"I mean I almost killed him." Z said still feeling like he was responsible for what happened
"hey don't lose your head." Kiawe said "Lincoln already said that he doesn't blame you."
"I guess you're right." Z said

soon they were on their way to the cerulean gym
"that's where we will be battling?" Kiawe asked when he saw the gym in the distance
"I'm getting fired up!" Ash said
once they got in there they saw a yellow duck Pokemon in the centre of the gym arena
"alright it's psyduck!" Ash said
"So cute!" Lana said
"hey thanks a lot for minding the store psyduck!" Misty said
psyduck let out a sound
"welcome to the cerulean gym, my gym!" Misty said
"(hey buddy!)" pikachu said as he and Brock's geodude went over
"it's been so long since I felt like this I want to get started right away!" Ash said
"now hold your horseas ash." An unknown voice to Lincoln said
on the other side was a girl with a red bandanna and a yellow satchel with a boy with a green shirt and glasses next to her
"MAY?!?" Ash said as Wally spat out the water he was drinking
"WHAT IN ARECUS'S NAME IS THE CHAMPION OF HOENN DOING HERE?!?" Wally yelled
"WHAT?!??" Ash yelled
meanwhile in Royal woods
Albert was thinking about what had happened yesterday how is daughter and son-in-law thought murder was a simple mishap he yelled at them about after they were sent back and while every sister but Lori got it through their heads even before that Lori and Rita and Lynn sr were still being stubborn about what they want to believe though he did have a chance to go back he refused due to believing Lincoln needed time

after yelling at the louds for a while Albert to head back to the retirement home
"are you two alright?" Albert asked Clyde and Ronnie Anne as he was about to leave
"not really." Clyde said "my best friend nearly died ."
"well he's okay now so try not to dwell on it." Albert said as he opened the door revealing a familiar face
it was hoopa
"hey you're that thing that brought us back here." Ronnie Anne said
"hoopa is sorry." Hoopa said
"sorry for what?" Albert asked
"hoopa brought you back by accident, hoopa panicked." Hoopa explained
"so what you're saying you didn't mean to bring us back?" Clyde asked
hoopa nodded before saying "hoopa can take you back if you want."
"I'll pass." Albert said
"what why?!?" Ronnie Anne asked
"Lincoln is probably going through a lot so he may need some time alone." Albert explained
Clyde and Ronnie Anne thought about this for a moment before agreeing

Albert thought about yesterday and how his grandson was doing
(I hope Lincoln is alright.) Albert thought to himself
meanwhile at the loud house
Lisa was in her room trying to work on a robotic arm for luan when suddenly she heard Lori trying to talk to everyone via headphones
(I swear if she's trying to figure out a plan for revenge on Lincoln I'm going to dissect her.) Lisa thought to herself
"what do you want Lori?" Luan said on her end clearly upset about losing an arm
"we need a plan of revenge." Lori said
"I'm going to dissect you later." Lisa said bluntly
"what why?!?" Lori said
"because that's a horrible plan!" Lisa said
"Give me 3 reasons!" Lori said
"Alright then 1. Lynn has a hole in her hand the size of tennis ball." Lisa began
"WHICH STILL HURTS!" Lynn jr said chiming in
"2. Leni won't talk to us." Lisa continued
"then she's missing out." Lori said
"and 3. I'm working on a robotic arm to replace the one luan loss." Lisa said
"WHICH IS YOUR FAULT BY THE WAY!" Luan said to Lori
"well we need some form of payback!" Lori said
"No what we need is to figure out a way to apologize to Lincoln!" Lola said
"YEAH!" Luna Lana and Lynn jr said
"Fine then I don't need your help!" Lori said as she presumably took off the headphones
Lisa took off her headphones and sighed
(that fool is going to get herself killed.) Lisa thought to herself as she continued to work on the arm (and no one will miss her.)
back with Lincoln
"so you decided to become champion of hoenn?" Ash asked
"yup!" May said "well then let's not keep everyone waiting!"
"right!" Ash said
after some battles it was now may versus Lincoln
"alright then Lincoln you ready?" May asked
"yup!" Lincoln said
"GO SIS!" May's little brother max said
"Alright then walking wake lets go!" Lincoln said send out the paradox Pokemon as it let out a roar
due to it being from the past it didn't speak the same type of Pokémon speech meaning Lincoln couldn't understand it
"blaziken!" May said sending out the fire/fighting type
"battle begin!" Brock said
"alright use hydro steam!" Lincoln said as walking wake released a stream of scalding water from its mouth
"dodge it with high-jump kick!" May said
blaziken jumped in the air and landed a powerful kick
"use dragon pulse!" Lincoln said as walking wake fired a blast from its mouth knocking blaziken back a bit
"now use blaze kick!" May yelled
blaziken lit its foot on fire and landed a kick causing walking wake to get burned
"Use scald!" Lincoln said as walking wake let out a slightly weaker stream of scalding water which connected
"not bad now then let me show you something fun!" May said as she revealed a mega bracelet
"oh no." Lincoln said
"now then LET THIS PERFORMANCE GET HOTTER WITH SOME MEGA EVOLUTION!" May yelled as she mega evolved blaziken
"It's mega blaziken!" Ash yelled
"that's awesome!" Kiawe said
"New data!" Rotom said
"use hydro steam!" Lincoln yelled as walking wake fire another blast of scalding water
"close combat!" May yelled
blaziken dodged the hydro steam and landed a devastating close combat which ended the battle
"that was a fun battle! good job!" May said
"thanks!" Lincoln said
later
soon they were about to leave for alola
"while it wasn't perfect I hope you visit again." Misty said
"of course I will!" Lincoln said
"see ya around." Brock said
"see ya guys." Ash said as everyone headed to their terminal
on the way back lincoln tried to get some sleep but couldn't.
sorry this took a bit
as for why Lincoln loses he isn't as experienced as the others due to not being the protagonist so while he may have gods he's average in skill level
