SUMMARY:

Kensi and Deeks are having a movie night at his apartment, he tells her something before she leaves. What does Deeks tell her and what will happen?

CHAPTER 24: THE START OF A BAD DAY...

0200 (2:00 AM)...
THE LIVING ROOM...

Kensi had gotten up t use the bathroom, when she heard something in the living room...

Cautiously Kensi made her way to the living room, where she saw Deeks was having a nightmare. She was almost to the couch with the intention of waking him up, when Deeks fell off the couch...

Kensi made her way over to him and knelt down beside him.

"Ouch...that hurt." Deeks muttered. "Deeks?" Kensi said and he seemed startled to realize she was there.

"Kens...I'm so glad you're okay." Deeks said looking at her and Kensi looked at him confused.

"Why wouldn't I be here, Deeks?" Kensi asked as they got up from the floor and sat down on the couch.

"We were captured by Sidov, he had you in the chair that Sam was in. I told him he would regret it if he hurt you, but he just laughed at me. He asked how important you were to me, but I couldn't tell him and he started to torture you. By the time the team go there to rescue us...you were dead. I didn't know what to do, all I could think was that you were dead and how much I wanted to be with you." Deeks told her and Kensi took his hand in hers.

"It's okay, Deeks. It was just a nightmare. We took care of Sidov and there is no way he can hurt either of us." Kensi reassured him.

"I know Sidov can't harm us, but what about others like him. We have a baby on the way that we are going to have to protect now. What if there comes a day I can't stop you from getting hurt or worse...k-killed?" Deeks asked looking away from her.

"Hey, look at me, Marty..."

Kensi said and Deeks looked into her eyes.

"...We have been working to gether for over four years now. Yes, there have been times when we have been captured or hurt, but we always make it through and this baby has a huge family to take care of him or her...if something should happen to either of us.

My mom, Nell, Hetty, Eric, Sam and Callen would make sure our child was protected. I know you're worried and..." Kensi stopped not sure if she could say the rest of what she was thinking.

"And what, Kens." Deeks asked. "So am I." Kensi finished as she laid her head on his shoulder and Deeks put an arm around her.

"I guess we'll figure it out along the way." Deeks said with a sigh and when he glanced at Kensi she was asleep.

Deeks stretched out on the couch, with Kensi and closed his eyes.

0830 (8:30 AM)...

Deeks opened his eyes wih and looked at Kensi still asleep. Then he looked at the around and his eyes fell on the clock that read 8:30 am.

"Kensi...Kensi, wake up." Deeks said and Kensi opened her eyes looking at him. "I thought I told you that you were sleeping on the couch alone, Deeks." Kensi muttered before getting up.

"I had a nightmare and you fell asleep while we were talking. It's 8:30, I think we better get ready for work. You can go take a shower and I'll take Monty for a walk." Deeks said getting up.

"Better make it fast, so you can shower and we can get to work." Kensi said as she left the living room..

0915 (9:15 AM)

Before Kensi took a shower she called Hetty to let her know that they were running late.

THE BULLPEN...
10:30 AM...

The morning sickness was begining to suck.

Then on the way to work there had been an accident which caused them to get stuck in traffic and the rain didn't help either.

So finally by the time they reached OSP they were an hour and a half late.

"You're late." Callen commented looking up when they had finally arrived, walking in drenched from the rain. "Do you want to tell them how this day started, Deeks?" Kensi asked as her and Deeks sat down at their desk.

"Let's see...

I slept on the couch, woke up around 1 AM...

Kensi, came to the living room and we ended up falling asleep and didn't hear the alarm...

It's raining and there was a 4 car pile up that backed up traffice. Is that everything, Kensi?" Deeks asked. "Morning sickness." Was all Kensi said.

"Wow, sounds like you two had a rough morning so far." Sam said. "Ya think? I'm going to work out in the gym." Kensi announced to the three men and then got up from her desk.

"Want me to come with you, Partner?" Deeks called and Kensi looked back. "No, I believe you have paperwork to catch up on. I'll be back in a little bit." Kensi said and once again turned heading for the gym. "Okay, don't work out to hard, Princess!" Deeks called and when she looked back again with a glare, he just smiled.

"Do you want to spend more nights on the couch?" Kensi asked and Deeks' smiled faltered.

"No, no I don't. Of course it's not so bad if you're there with me. "Then I suggest you quit telling me to be careful." Kensi growled and Deeks got up from his desk walking over to her.

"Hey, I can't help it if I want you to be careful until at least after the baby is born, okay? Then you can be the badass, wonder woman I first met." Deeks told her. "Deeks, I have been careful not to get hurt while I'm working out since we decided that we wanted this child. So lay off." Kensi told him. "Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Deeks asked agian.

"I'm sure, beccause all you will do is end up watching me. Now go get your paperwork done so we can get out of here on time tonight...if we don't have a case." Kensi told him.

"What's wrong with me wanting to watch you?" Deeks asked. "Because it's creepy and I'm tired of you hovering over me. I just need some time to myself." Kensi said walking off to the gym.

Deeks watched her go and then headed back to his desk.

'Had he really been hovering as much as she said he was? He was just worried about her.'

THE WOMEN'S LOCKER ROOM...

Kensi sat down on the bench with a sigh, thinking she was alone at least for a moment.

She really loved Deeks and she was not regretting move in together, but it was as if everything was happening so fast.

She thought back to the morning she had woken up and realized he was ready for her...

The two dreams she had that night...

Thinking bak to the first dream that she had that night with her, Deeks, Monty and a little girl on the beach made Kensi wonder if the baby was a boy or a girl.

Kensi knew she would love this baby reguadless of the gender, but when she had that dream with the little girl...it had just made her wonder what the baby would look like if it had been a boy.

She wanted to think of a name so they would quit calling the baby 'it' or 'the baby'.

She would have to talk to Deeks tonight when they got home.

Finally, Kensi changed and left the locker room to go workout.
