SUMMARY:

Kensi and Deeks are having a movie night at his apartment, he tells her something before she leaves. What does Deeks tell her and what will happen?

CHAPTER 31: THE ANNOUNCEMENT...

KENSI'S BEDROOM...
0500 HOURS...

Kensi opened her eyes and rolled ove to face Deeks, who was still asleep with his nose twitching. "Quit staring and go back to sleep." Deeks muttered pulling her closer to him and Kensi laughed.

"Your eyes are still closed. What makes you think I was staring at you?" Kensi teased.

"Because I can feel you looking at me...not that I blame you. I know you can't resist how good looking I am." Deeks said with a smile and his eyes still closed. "Only you would comment on how good looking you think are this early in the morning." Kensi shot back as she tried not to smile.

Deeks opened one eye and looked at her.

"So if you're not marrying me, because we make a great looking couple...why are you marrying me?" Deeks teased. "Because I love you." Kensi whispered looking into his eyes. "So how long was it before you knew for sure that you loved me?" Deeks asked.

"The day I was playing poker with Astrid, she asked me if I was in love with you and I guess it was then I started to think more about it. But I felt something from the beginning." Kensi replied.

"Since...we met at the MMA gym?" Deeks asked in surprise. "Yes, since the day I met you I felt something...at first I wasn't sure what it was." Kensi confessed.

"Wow, I guess the feeling was mutaul even then. I knew the moment I met you that I wanted to marry you some day." Deeks said with a grin and then started to lean over to give her a pick on the lips, but Kensi put her hand on his chest and stopped him.

"How about you take Monty for a walk?" Kensi suggested. "Then we can take a shower together, right?" Deeks asked hopefully and Kensi rolled her eyes.

"No, because that will make us later and we are telling everyone today what you asked me last night." Kensi said smiling at him once more. "Then how about we celebrate again tonight?" Deeks suggested as Kensi reached the bathroom.

"We'll see." Kensi said before continuing into the bathroom and starting the shower.

DEEKS...
STANDING OUTSIDE THE DOORWAY TO THE BATHROOM...

"What do you want me to make for breakfast when me and Monty get back?" Deeks asked through the closed bathroom door.

"Bacon, eggs and chocolate chip pancakes." Kensi called throug the closed door.

0845 HOURS...
THE BULLPEN...

"Look who's here." Callen said looking up as Kensi and Deeks entered the bullpen. "Ah, did you miss me? Or did you miss me and Kensi?" Deeks joked.

"Kensi, should you be drinking that?" Sam asked refering to the coffee in her hand. "It's decaf coffee and I haven't had coffee since I found out I was pregnant." Kensi said looking at Sam. "Kensi, is that an engagment ring?" Callen asked looking at the ring on her finger and Sam looked to.

"I asked Kensi Marie Blye to marry me last night and she said yes." Deeks announced, just as Nell was coming down the stairs from ops.

"So how did he propose?" Nell asked Kensi and Kensi looked at Deeks. "Don't ask Deeks he will more then likely tell you every detail how he proposed. What happened before and after he proposed." Kensi joked. "It's not like you're not going to tell, Nell everything on one of your girls nights." Deeks shot back sticking his tongue out at her.

"So how did you propose, Deeks? We want to know how you proposed...not what happened after." Sam warned.

"I have to admit what you told me, Sam...kind of scared me." Deeks began and Kensi looked at Deeks in confusion. "What did Sam tell you?" Kensi inquired. "I told him that marriage is a serious step." Sam told her.

"Why? You didn't think that Deeks and I were serious enough? Deeks and I started dating in April, plus we have a baby on the way." Kensi said. "I know and I'm happy for you. But I wanted Deeks to make sure this was the right time. Go on with the story, Deeks." Sam said.

"I dropped Kensi off at her mom's house, so they could have a little time together and I could surprise her when I asked her to marry me. I ended up going to two different jewlery stores and it was the third one that I found the ring that would fit Kensi. Afer i got the ring, I stopped by the store and bought some hersey kisses and spelled out the words:

Kensi Marie Blye, will you marry me

I had just finished the surprise and decided to take a shower when Kensi came home and found me. I asked if she had been to the bedroom yet and she said..." Deeks was interupted by Kensi.

"I told him no I had not been to the bedroom and asked him why. He had me close my eyes before we left the bathroom and Deeks asked me to close my eyes, before leading me to the bedroom. When he told me to open my eyes I saw the words and I was surprised." Kensi finished. "But you said yes and no one wants to hear the rest of what happened." Deeks said with a grin.

"Congradulations you two and remember what we told you, Deeks." Callen warned. "I remember and I don't think I could spend a day without Kensi by my side." Deeks said and Kensi fought back tears she felt in her eyes. (Damn hormones)

"So, Kensi, are you marrying him because he asked you or because he asked you with chocolate?" Sam joked. "Maybe both." Kensi teased looking at Deeks with a smile.

"Really, that's the reason? This morning when I asked you said it was because you loved me." Deeks said trying not to look hurt. "That's the other reason, but it's also because you know me so wellDeeks and we still have to tell my mom soon." Kensi replied.

"I hear that you two are recently engaged and I am happy for you, but do I need to remind you that you are here to work?" Hetty asked.

"Oh, right, that's why I was getting ready to call you upstairs before Nell came down. We have a case." Eric announced from the stairs.

"Time to head up to OPs ladies and gentlemen." Hetty said leading the way.

Everyone got up and started to make their way up to OPs, Kensi was the last to get up from her desk with a sigh and Deeks was right beside her.

"Hey, it's going to be okay. I know you want to be in the field when I go out, but we have to think of our family." Deeks whispered and then they two headed up the stairs to OPs.
