CHAPTER 33: TALKING ABOUT THE FUTURE...

A LITTLE WHILE LATER...

The timer went off and they walked into the kitchen where Deeks pulled the lasagna out of the oven as Kensi got out the plates and sliverware.

After putting a little on each plate, they headed back to the living room to sit down on the couch.

"A little hungry or anxious for dessert?" Deeks teased as Kensi began to eat. "I'm starving, okay?" Kensi said as she put the next bite into her mouth. "You're starving? You eat more then I do and have since we met. You're always hungry." Deeks joked.

"Did you just call me a pig?" Kensi asked setting her plate on the coffee table and glaring at him.

"No, I would never call you a pig. I'm just trying to point out that you have never starved with me around and you never will. Because I know what you like." Deeks tried to explain.

"Well, it sounded like you were calling me a pig. I'm eating for two or have you forgotten?" Kensi inquired.

"I know you're eating for two, Fern. Every day when I look at you, I see that you get more beautiful by the day..."

Deeks told her with a smile and though Kensi was trying to stay mad at him, it was hard with his smile and the comment he had just made.

"...Kens, you're the most beautiful and unique woman I've ever met. I'm thankful every day that we met undercover and I don't know what I would do without you in my life. I'm glad we're getting married and having a baby together, because I wouldn't want this with anyone else." Deeks finished and Kensi once again felt the tears in her eyes.

"Wh-what do you mean unique?" Kensi asked. "You are a badass agent and I've seen your soft side that I'm glad you shared with me. That's what makes you unique Kensi Marie Blye and do you know something else." Deeks asked.

"Wh-what?" Kensi asked as the tears began to fall. "That's what is going to make you a wonderful mother to our child. So are you crying because I've made you really mad or because you're so happy you can't hold it in anymore?" Deeks asked and Kensi punched him in the shoulder.

"You already know." Kensi told him. "Because you love me? Could you help me out? Maybe a clue?" Deeks teased. "Because I'm happy you idiot and I'm just a little surprised at everything you just said." Kensi replied.

"Really, I was only telling you the truth. You are going to be a good mom to Ray and I do love you, Kens. I have never loved anyone as much as I've love you." Deeks told her.

"Quit being so cheesey." Kensi told him.

"If you want think I'm going to quit telling you how much I love you...that's not going to happen, Princess. I'm going to keep remindiing you every day for the rest of our lives together." Deeks told her with a grin.

"You're never going to love anyone as much as you love me, huh? What about Ray? Are you going to love him or her?" Kensi asked. "There's no doubt that I won't love Ray, because Ray is a part of both of us. We're a family and Monty is a part of this family to." Deeks said glancing over at Monty's bed, where Monty was laying with his eyes open.

"I know and I love you to, Deeks." Kensi said as Deeks wiped the tears away and then leaned over to give her what he thought would be a quick peck on the lips.

It was less then a minute later when they pulled apart.

"Are you done eating? Because that kiss tells me you are ready for dessert." Deeks said suggestively. "Maybe." Kensi teased.

"Okay, how about I take care of the dishes and I'll meet you in the bedroom in a few minutes." Deeks told her. "Sounds good, don't take to long..." Kensi said getting up and looking over her shoulder with a smile, before heading toward the bedroom.

THE BEDROOM...

Kensi walked into the bedroom, putting a hand on her abdomen when she felt Ray kicking.

Kensi was standing lost in her thoughts of what was coming in the future. She lay down on the bed and started to think about what the future was going to bring.

"Kens?" Deeks asked as the bed dipped and he climbed in on the right side. "That was fast." Kensi commented as she moved over so that he was sitting right beside her and he leaned over to kiss her neck. "It's been ten minutes. I did the dishes and put the food away." Deeks whispered his lips still against her neck and Kensi moaned.

"It-It doesn't seem like it's been ten minutes." Kensi said looking at the clock and then back at him. "Well you were pretty deep in thought when I came in. Are you okay?" Deeks asked looking into her eyes.

"I was just thinking about us, Ray and the future. Do you think we should at least start making plans for the wedding?" Kensi asked.

"You want to do that now?" Deeks asked.

"Well, we're going to be busy with packing everything up in my apartment and moving it into the new house. We won't really have a chance to talk about it. Besides when we ask the team to help pack my apartment tomorrow...we can also tell them some of the wedding plans." Kens pointed out.

"I guess that makes since, so what did you have in mind? Do you want to get married before Ray gets here or wait until after Ray is born?" Deeks asked. "Either way Ray is still going to be at the wedding, but I kind of want to get married before the birth. So we can have a honeymoon and not have to be seperated from Ray." Kensi said and Deeks nodded.

"Okay, I guess Eric can be the best man. Sam, Callen and Nate can be groomsmen." Deeks replied. "Nell, will be my maid of honor then Rose can be a bridesmaid. Maybe Hetty can officate. I-I just wish my dad was here." Kensi said with a look of sadness.

"I know, Kens, but even if he's not there in person...he's still watching over you." Deeks replied and Kensi gave a watery smile. "I really hate these hormones." Kensi told him frustrated as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hands.

"Do you have any idea who will walk you down the aisle then?" Deeks asked and Kensi shrugged.

"I-I'm not sure. I know that I'm inviting my mom to the wedding, maybe she can walk me down the aisle." Kensi suggested. "That's an idea and I know everyone would understand. I just wish we could invite Ray and Jenna." Deeks said sadly.

"I do to. At least we got to tell him how our 'thing' worked out." Kensi said as Deeks took her hands in his. "Yeah, I'm glad how our 'thing' has worked out." Deeks told her with a smile and Kensi laughed, because that was something similar to what she had told him.

"Maybe we can talk to Sam and see if his daughter can be the flower girl." Kensi suggested. "Okay, then how about we have Monty bring the rings down the aisle?" Deeks suggested and Kensi looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "You want Monty to bring the rings downt he aisle?" She asked and Deeks nodded. "Yeah, almost all of our family is going to be a part of the wedding...why not Monty to?" Deeks pointed out.

"Okay, we still have to where to get married and where to hold the reception." Kensi told him. "Plus I know you want to invite Agent Gibbs and his team form Washington." Deeks said and Kensi nodded.

"I guess that's almost all the plans for the wedding." Kensi said letting out a yawn.

"Yeah, I think we should get some sleep. So we won't be tired at work tomorrow." Deeks said as they laid down.

Deeks put a protective arm around her. Kensi smiled before laying her hand over his and it wasn't long after that they were both asleep.
