PUPS MEET THE ANTHRO ANIMALS

It was a beautiful sunny Monday afternoon in Adventure Bay. School had finished for the day & everyone headed home. Angel & Elias went to the hiking trails in the wooded area near the campgrounds for a nice afternoon walk. It was very calm & peaceful with the sky being clear.
"What a nice day it is for a walk in the woods. We should do this more often" said Angel with a smile.
"Agreed. When it gets too chaotic in town going out for a walk in such a nice peaceful area can really put people at ease" said Elias as Angel & himself walked along the trail. Besides some birds that flew overhead occasionally there were almost no wild animals to be seen. As Angel & Elias walked by a tall wide tree they saw an anthropomorphic male bear who looked to be the same age & height as Elias. The bear wore a yellow polo shirt, black shorts & black rain boots which Angel & Elias were a bit confused by.
"I don't think I've ever seen any Anthro animals out here who wear clothes. That bear doesn't look familiar" said Angel as she tilted her head in confusion.
"Either he's new to the area or maybe there's some kind of hidden location he lives in which we're currently unaware of" said Elias as the bear walked around 1 side of the tree. Angel & Elias saw him open what looked to be a door carved into the tree's trunk before entering & closing the door behind him.
"Is that his house?" asked Angel in uncertainty.
"I don't know. Let's have a look" said Elias as Angel & himself walked over to the door. Elias knocked & waited for an answer. There was no reply. After knocking a few more times & getting no answer Angel & Elias decided to go inside & see if anyone or anything was there. Upon entering the tree, they found what looked to be a makeshift elevator that went down seemingly underground & worked by pulling a rope to get the elevator car to move up or down.
"This just gets stranger the further we go" said Angel.
"There's only 1 way to find out where this goes" said Elias as Angel & himself entered the elevator. They descended using the rope to get to where the elevator led to. Upon reaching the bottom of the elevator shaft there was another door. When Angel & Elias went through this door they found themselves in a large underground space with buildings of different sizes everywhere as far as the eye could see. Unlike most regular underground cities & towns this 1 was populated entirely by anthropomorphic animals of different genders, sizes & species & all of them also wore clothes.
"It's an entire Anthro society in here. I never would've guessed that we'd have this under Adventure Bay" said Angel in surprise.
"I guess now it makes sense. Whether or not anyone else in town knows about this is something that remains to be seen" said Elias as Angel & himself looked around. A male Anthro tiger who also looked to be the same age & height as Elias who wore a red headband, a grey sleeveless shirt, long black pants & khaki boots noticed Angel & Elias & approached them before pointing a spear at them.
"Halt. Who are you & what business do you have coming down here?" asked the tiger in a stern voice.
"Take it easy. We have no ill intentions" said Angel with a nervous gulp.
"We saw a bear come in here. Up above ground we live in the nearby town of Adventure Bay. We saw the bear while on a hike. Nobody else is with us & we have no weapons or any other dangerous items on our possession. Please put that spear down" said Elias as he stood perfectly still.
"Don't move. I need to be sure that you're being honest" said the tiger as he checked Elias' pockets. He found nothing in them that could be considered dangerous.
"You're both clean. Exactly which bear did you see?" asked the tiger.
"He was the same height as you & wore a yellow polo shirt, black shorts & black rain boots" said Angel.
"That's Buster. Have you seen him or anyone else from down here before?" asked the tiger in uncertainty.
"No. This is the 1ST time we've ever seen anyone from down here. My name is Elias Vincent. The Pitbull with me is Angel" said Elias.
"Troy's the name. The location you find yourself in right now is Anthroville" said the tiger.
"Does anyone else here go up above ground on a regular basis?" asked Angel in curiosity.
"Depends on who goes up there & what they're planning to do. I must ask you both politely to come with me" said Troy.
"Just as long as it doesn't involve us being harmed that shouldn't be a problem" said Elias as Troy led Angel & him to the centre of Anthroville. That was a big open space where town meetings would occur. Several residents of Anthroville saw Angel & Elias along the way to town centre piquing their curiosity. Upon reaching town centre the entire population was called. Angel & Elias stood quietly unsure of what was about to happen. Once everyone had arrived Troy addressed the gathered crowd.
"Thanks for coming everyone. As you can see we have visitors from above the surface. I assure you they pose no threat to our wellbeing" said Troy.
"My name is Elias Vincent & with me is my Pitbull Angel. We live in the town of Adventure Bay near the woods in which the tree you use to access the surface is located. Neither of us knew this was even here until a short time ago. It was while we were on a walk in the woods where we saw a bear named Buster enter the door in the giant tree that led down here. None of our family & friends know about this right now but I can assure everyone here that your way of life is not under threat" said Elias as he looked around at all the Anthroville residents. Almost all of them happened to be wearing clothes though not all the same type. Several members of the gathered crowd asked numerous questions about Angel & Elias' life above the surface which they answered to the best of their ability. After all the questions had been answered the residents of Anthroville went back to their routines. Buster walked over to Angel & Elias with a smaller male bear beside him. This bear was dressed in the same type of outfit as Buster & looked to be around the same age & height as Alex.
"Hello. I'm Buster the emotional support bear. This small bear beside me is Barton" said Buster with a smile.
"What do you think of Anthroville so far?" asked Barton in curiosity.
"It's certainly fascinating. What were you doing up above the surface today Buster?" asked Angel.
"I was looking for berries. They're my favourite snack. Sometimes I even make berry-based desserts with them like pies & tarts" said Buster.
"That's lovely. Are you 2 related?" asked Elias.
"No. Buster's my hero. My family was sadly attacked & killed by hunters. Buster took me in & has kept me safe from harm ever since. Living here in Anthroville has provided me with a sense of community" said Barton as he gave Buster a hug.
"Maybe you could come visit us in our home sometime. It has high level security for those who live there & guests who come by" said Angel in reassurance.
"That sounds lovely. I'm sure we'd have lots of fun there" said Buster with an excited smile.
"You sure would. The more people to have around making good memories with the better" said Angel.
"How long do you plan to stay here today?" asked Barton in uncertainty.
"Not for too long. We must be at home for dinner soon. If we take time getting home everyone will start getting a bit concerned by our absence" said Elias.
"I see. Want us to show you around so that you'll have an easier time navigating Anthroville on future visits?" asked Buster.
"Yes please. I'd love to see exactly what Anthroville has to offer" said Angel with a smile. Barton & Buster proceeded to show Angel & Elias around Anthroville pointing out all the different buildings. Most of them were residential with a few business type buildings among them. By the time the tour was over it was 5PM.
"We better get going so we're not late home. Thanks for showing us around" said Elias.
"No problem. Be sure to visit us again soon" said Barton as Angel & Elias headed home. They arrived just in time for dinner. Throughout the meal everyone discussed their day though Angel & Elias said nothing about Anthroville wanting to surprise everyone with it later. That night while lying awake in bed Elias thought about the day's events mainly regarding the discovery of Anthroville.
"Prior to today if someone told me there was an underground community filled with anthropomorphic animals I wouldn't have believed them. Tomorrow after school I'll show Colby, Constance & Kelly what Angel & myself found. They won't believe their eyes. As long as nobody comes along & causes destruction or harm to Anthroville we'll be able to enjoy many great times both there & here in Adventure Bay" thought Elias as he went to sleep.
