Night finally sets on Remnant as the broken moon can be seen hanging idly from above.

From below, you can see someone staring in wonderment at the odd phenomenon before them.

"I wonder if the Moon on Earth would look like this if a third of it was blasted off." I muttered.

The God of Darkness was very theatrical, unlike his brother. He let his emotions dominate him and there's no better example than when he killed off humanity because a small group of them rebelled and destroyed the moon while leaving the planet.

Overall, he was a brat.

[I wonder what Ozma thought when he first saw the broken moon]

"Probably pissed himself." I chuckled at the mental image.

After some more hours of walking, I notice a couple of lights in the distance. Wasting no time, I ran towards the lights and eventually managed to get out of that damn forest and found myself in a small village.

"Civilization!" I yell and run towards the main gate.

I notice a lot of the villagers are giving me weird looks and granted, I'm not surprised. I do look like I just came from a life-or-death battle, after all, and the dried blood likely doesn't help either.

Looking around, I notice that some of the villagers are Faunus and the humans here seem to be fine with it. If I remember correctly, most humans don't particularly like Faunus though the show never went any deeper than that. It just made it look like Faunus are discriminated and treated like second-class citizens (even slaves) simply because they are Faunus and nothing else. As if they only exist to make humans look better. I mean there could have been something I missed, but most of the characters that treat Faunus like shit are just privileged assholes and that's that. The White Fang is supposedly the result of anger and frustration that has been building up over the years, having had enough of the treatment humanity has given them and tried to fight for their basic rights. Now they're only seen as mobsters and terrorists.

It's pretty messed up.

Faunus won the Faunus Rights Revolution and yet they are still treated like shit. The Kingdoms gave them a small island and basically told them "here's a piece of land to be independent, now fuck off" like the world was just spiting on them for their efforts. By that logic, Menagerie is supposed to be a lawless shithole… but the show does a bad job at convincing the audience and it looks like a flourishing tropical paradise free from "racism". This, in turn, makes the old White Fang and Blake look like massive privileged hypocrites.

God, this doesn't make any sense! How can someone mess up the lore so bad!?

I walk up to a nearby woman. "Excuse me. I just arrived at the village and haven't eaten anything since this morning. Could you point me to the nearest dining area or restaurant?"

"Oh my, that sounds awful. Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant here but we do have a tavern." The woman raises her arm and points ahead. "Simply follow the path and you'll reach the village square, the tavern will be easy to spot."

"Got it. Thank you." I wave the woman goodbye and follow the path. Eventually, I reach the village square and see a building with a wooden sign that has a beer mug on it.

I open the door and inside people are drinking, eating, talking, laughing while some of the occasional fighting in the background. That is until everyone's attention turns to me and as I take a seat at the counter, I can hear the subtle sounds of whispering in the background.

"Welcome to the Rusty Nail! The #1 hotspot in Shion! What can I get you today!?" The bartender asked, sounding a bit too chipper for a bartender.

'Shion… why does that name sound familiar?' I thought and look at the menu. "I'll have Chili fries and a glass of water please."

"Coming right up!" The bartender got to work. "So, what's your story? It's not often a customer comes in covered in grime and blood."

"Well, that's what happens when you're fighting Beowulfs for the majority of the day and winning." I smirked.

"Oh? So you're a Huntsman then?"

I shake my head. "Nah, I don't even have my Aura unlocked. I just happen to know my way around the sword. Can't exactly travel to Mistral on foot without some protection."

"You got that right." The bartender places a glass cup in front of me. "Here's your drink, sir."

I take the cold glass of water and drink it all in one gulp. "Haaa, I needed that~ Can I get another?"

"Certainly, sir." The bartender smiles.

We talked for a while and I learned that this village's name is Shion. The same Shion village that the Branwen Tribe raided at the start of Volume 4 and was decimated by Grimm soon after. He later puts a plate of chili fries in front of me and I gobble it up. I may not get hungry, but that doesn't mean I appreciate good food and DAMN were these chili fries good; amazing even (AN: I love chili fries).

"Here's your ticket, sir. Your total owed is 9 Lien." The bartender said.

I give him the white card and he gives it a quick scan on his tablet and gives it back. "Thank you so much."

-9 Credits

Total Credits: 10,067

"Welp, I should probably hit the road now." I get off the stool and go towards the exit.

"Wait." I stop on my tracks. "I have some spare clothes upstairs, you can have them if you want."

I turn around and give the bartender a confused look. "Why? You don't even know me."

The bartender shrugs. "Hey, it's the least I can do for you after all, you did kill those Grimm in the forest, Huntsman or not."

My eyes widened. I always knew that the people of Remnant lived under a black and white viewpoint, that there was a visible good and evil, but even I can't believe that someone would trust me instantly and it's all because I killed a few Grimm.

"Thank you." I turn to my right and go up a set of stairs. I wasn't about to deny such a helping hand, even if it was a bit naive.

I walk up the stairs and find two doors, one next to the other. Opening the door in front of me, all I find is a bed, a desk, a closet, a tv, and a small window on the right wall letting moonlight light up the otherwise dull room.

"Alright, to hell with the raggedy. Time to put on a show." I rip off my shredded clothes and open the closet. "No, no, no, no, oh god no." I browse through the various shirts hanging neatly within until I stop at a shirt. "This will do." The shirt itself is black with two red lines running diagonally across the chest.

[T-Shirt] - Rank: E

A simple red and black t-shirt.

"I always loved red and black." I remove it from the clothes hanger and quickly put it on. "Hm, a little tight but likely because of these new muscles." I flex my arm a little causing the sleeve to stretch a little. "Probably shouldn't do that too much." I grab a pair of red cargo pants and a black hoodie and put them on.

[Cargo Pants] - Rank: E

A pair of red cargo pants.

[Black Hoodie] - Rank: E

A black hoodie.

Gives 1% Physical Damage resistance.

"Hm?" I notice something poking out of a pile of boxes. "What's this?" I moved the boxes aside and my eyes widened in shock. "No. Way." I grab the item and stand up.

[Joker's Mask] - Rank: C

Joker's iconic Mask from Persona 5. Allows you to go incognito, making people unable to identify you when you have it on.

Grants 10% Mental Resistance.

It's Joker's mask from the game! I can't believe it! What's it doing here on Remnant!? And it doesn't seem to be some kind of replica either, but the genuine article. Why would it be in some random old closet of all places?

Oh, who cares. I have his mask and that's all that matters.

I send it to my inventory and proceed to leave the bedroom before quickly turning my attention to the door next to it. Turning the knob, I go inside and it turns out to be a well lit yet worn and dirty bathroom. "Yikes, this is even worse than the bedroom." I walk inside and glance at the mirror, "huh?" I turn my attention to the reflection and still cannot believe it.

A pair glistening [Silver Eyes] alongside a handsome face. Hair black and short in length. On the right side is a scar that stretches across the cheek, but is so faded that no one will see it unless they pay close attention.

"This can't be right..." I raise my hand towards my face and stretch out my eyelids checking for contacts. "They're real… I actually have [Silver Eyes]."

[I see you've noticed]

I narrow my eyes. "Why didn't you tell me I reincarnated with [Silver Eyes]?"

[It just never came up]

I wanted to lash out at the A.I. That's all he has to say!? On Remnant, these eyes are a pain in the ass. They're a worse bad luck charm than Qrow. It doesn't help the fact that Salem and Ozma are hunting down people with these eyes; one for their sick experiments and the other to use as a vanguard against her.

Overall, these eyes are a curse rather than a blessing.

[Gamer's Mind] kicked in and my frustration quickly left as soon as it came. "Well, there's nothing I can do about it. I'll just have to be careful; good thing I grabbed the mask." I leave the bathroom and go down the stairs where the bartender sees me.

"Wow, I haven't seen that hoodie in ages. It looks good on you." Bartender comments.

"Yeah. Thanks for the clothes." I make my way towards the exit.

"Do you have a place to stay for the night? There's a great inn just further ahead. I hear their services are top of the line."

'And likely expensive.' I glance at the bartender and give him a smile. "Thank you for the kind suggestion. But I think I'll make do with what I have." 'I doubt I could afford a room there anyway. I should save my money for now and spend it on what I really need.'

"I see…" Bartender looks a little displeased. "Well, you take care of yourself out there."

I leave the bar and take out [Joker's Mask] from my [Inventory] and put it on. The moment I do, my vision suddenly becomes monochrome for a second before returning to normal. I look around at the people and while some give me an occasional glance, they all just ignore me.

'Maybe I should run a quick experiment to make sure.' I walk up to a random bystander. "Excuse me."

The older woman turns and my eyes widen in shock; it's the same old woman from earlier.

"Hm? I don't believe I've seen you around before. Did you just arrive?" The elderly woman asked.

'It works!' I thought excitedly. 'Now for the next step.' "Could you tell me the name of this village? I seem to be a little lost."

"You are in Shion, young man, on the farside of the Kingdom of Mistral." The old woman replied.

"I see. Thank you." The woman bows and walks away.

I take off the mask. "She really didn't recognize me. I really have gone incognito." I put it back in my [Inventory]. "Well, no point in standing around. Better get moving." I walk down the path and out of the gate.

As I walk through the forest path, I look at my left hand and activate my [Fire Control] igniting my hand. My hand glows a brightly orange yet I'm not getting burned.

"Hm, what a weird feeling." I said while mesmerized by the odd sight, until noises catch my attention and force me to snuff out my fire. "Who's there?"

On cue, a group of people come out of the bushes with their weapons out, grinning and giggling as they encircle and surround me.

"My name is Shay. Shay D. Mann and I'll cut to the chase: Give us all of your stuff and we'll let you live." Shay states with a smirk.

I tilt my head. "Are you… robbing me?"

"No, we're giving you a free trip- of course we are!" Shay exclaims.

I smile at them. "Ooooh." I rush at the closest bandit and punch him in the stomach before kicking him away.

The bandits were all dumbstruck by this.

I take my sword from my belt. "If you want my money," I give him a smug look. "Then you better fight for it."

Shay glares at the boy. "Get him!"

The bandits begin to close in on me. One of them raises his ax and tries to cut me in two. I step aside and let gravity deal with the rest. With the bandit distracted, I swing my sword in an arc and slice his neck. Blood sprays everywhere as the bandit falls dead on the ground.

I wipe the blood off my face and stare at my hand. 'I just killed someone, yet I don't feel a thing. Is this the effect of [Gamer's Mind] at work?'

"You bastard!" One of the bandits screamed at me.

I glance at the bandit. "I told you that if you wanted my money, you were going to fight for it. If you want to blame someone, blame yourselves for underestimating me."

With that statement, the bandits charged at me all at once. I dodge their swings while parrying the rest. I had to time my attacks correctly so that they wouldn't use that gap in movement to successfully deliver an attack.

Damn, [Muscle Memory] is not a joke. I am DOMINATING these guys.

"Stop moving, you little shit and fight like a man!" The bandit swings his sword but I block it with my own, locking the blades in a stalemate.

"You're joking, right? You have five guys ganging up on me and you're complaining about me not being fair? Aren't you an idiot."I flick my sword and tear the bandits' weapon out of their hands before hitting them in the solar plexus with the butt of my sword and kicking him into the ground.

"Shit, Shay, you didn't tell us he was a Huntsman!" The bandit yells at his leader.

"He doesn't look like a Huntsman!" Shay retorts.

"And you'd be right, I am not. But I do know how to fight like one." My vessel was a Huntsman-in-Training. I may not have his memories but this body does remember how to fight. It was why I was able to survive against those Grimm without Aura so easily, just like how I'm handling these guys without breaking a sweat. But this does raise the question…

'What kind of hellish training did my other self put himself through to get this strong?' I thought.

"I'll kill you!" The bandit fires their gun at me, but I instinctively deflect them all. One of them ricochets and hits another bandit in the head, killing them instantly.

"NO!" The gunslinger exclaims as their partner falls dead on the ground, however, they don't notice the blade running through their head until it is too late.

You have defeated Branwen Tribe Bandits (x2)! You have earned 50 EXP (x2)! You have gained 34 Credits (x2)!

"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!" The remaining bandits charge at me all at once. Their moves are all sluggish and predictable.

I turn to the first bandit and swing my sword in an arc, creating a huge slash across his torso that erupts with blood. No sooner than that, I block the second bandit's attack and let their sword slip on my blade before swiftly slicing the nape of their neck.

"RAAAAAR!" The last bandit screams loudly as they rush from behind, only to be surprised when they see me turning around. "!"

"Next time, don't scream when you try to attack from behind." I use [Fire Control] to create a fireball and throw it at them, causing them to scream as their body is engulfed in flames before falling to the ground dead.

I feel something wet on my right shoulder and look down to find blood pouring out of a circular hole.

The scene switches to show Shay shakily holding his weapon: a crude revolver-like pistol with knuckles and a blade attached to the handle with smoke coming from the barrel.

"Ouch." I said without much emotion. "You shot me." I move my left arm up and begin to dig into the bullet hole and pull out the bullet without even flinching and the hole begins to close. "That hurts." I let the bullet fall on the ground.

Good thing [Gamer's Body] is a thing or else I'd be writhing in pain.

"M-M-MONSTER!" He screams out and fires wildly at the boy over and over, missing every time until the revolver suddenly jams. "What? Not now!" He continues to pull the trigger but nothing happens. "No, no, NO! FUCK!" Tears begin to flow out of his eyes.

My bullet wound completely heals as I walk towards him. "Aw, what's the matter? Is the weakling gonna cry now that his toy gun doesn't work anymore? Talk about embarrassing."

Shay glares at me with visible anger in his face and charges at me. "SHUT UUUUUP!" He swings the blade part of his gun but I parry it with my sword. I delivered a slice across his chest, but I quickly felt something hard making contact with my sword and noticed Shay's body flashing yellow.

'So that's [Aura], huh? Interesting. Let's see how much punishment it can take before it cracks.' I attack more aggressively at Shay, forcing him to stay on the defensive. He can do nothing but wither through the onslaught of slices and stabs until his [Aura] begins to flare heavily with each successful hit until he is suddenly sucker punched with enough force to push him back, causing his [Aura] to finally shatter and dissipate.

Shay drops his revolver and collapses before spitting out a bloody tooth. "Y-You… bastard!"

"What? Done already? And here I thought you were some sort of big shot since those guys followed your orders." There's a corpse in front of me and I easily kick it away.

"Damnit, damnit, dammit! This wasn't supposed to happen! This was supposed to be an easy job!" Shay cries as snot comes out of his nose and trails down to his mouth mixing with his blood.

I cringe at the sight. "Ugh, can't you at least have some dignity before you die? But I guess that's asking too much from a bandit."

"W-Wait! Pease don't kill me! I-I can pay you!" Shay begs as he prostrates in front of me.

I shake my head. "Nah. Right now, I need you more dead than alive." I dash in with a forward thrust but as I get closer to my target something catches my eye.

A black feather dancing in the wind.

A red blur catches me by surprise as I barely manage to put up my guard before it can decapitate me. The force of the blow was enough to push me away and fall to the ground. I grunt as I look at the one responsible.

She is a woman with raven-black hair and wearing a four-eyed Grimm mask to cover her face. She is wearing an outfit consisting of a shallow cut black and red dress with black shorts underneath which did nothing to hide her voluptuous body or D(or maybe E?)-cup breasts. Strapped to her narrow waist is her weapon's sheath and wears what looks to be a red and white bandana hanging from behind her. Her forearms bear red armored gauntlets that protrude outwards and black fingerless gloves. She wears black mid-thigh high leggings with red splatter patterns that look too tight and black heels.

'Holy shit, she's THICC AS FUCK!' My inner voice exclaimed excitedly before [Gamer's Mind] kicked in.

"Raven! Man, am I glad to see you!" Shay crawls towards his leader. "This guy is a monster. He killed my entire team without [Aura]! He has some kind of weird Semblance that allows him to use fire without Dust!" He clings onto her leg. "You have to avenge them, Raven. You have to kill him!"

"'Have to'? Are you making demands now, Shay?" Raven asked, her voice is authoritative and low. She looks down at the frightened Shay. "You sure have a lot of balls to give me orders."

"I-I didn't mean to-" Shay doesn't finish as Raven swiftly turns and kicks Shay in the face, sending him back.

"The weak die, the strong live. Those are the rules. If those fools couldn't survive, then they were unfit to be part of the Branwen Tribe." Raven states.

Shay spits another bloody tooth.

"Shit!" I hiss under my breath and get up. "So… I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're the one in charge of these idiots."

"I am the leader of the Branwen Tribe, Raven Branwen." Raven states.

"Never heard of you." I replied calmly. 'I can't fight her as I am now. I need to think of a way to escape.'

"You'd be correct. Not many have seen me and lived to tell the tale, but that's not why I'm here." Raven admits.

I gestured at the corpses. "Are you here to avenge your comrades then?"

Raven lets out a laugh, it's kind of cute. "Hardly. If they weren't able to defeat an Auraless boy then what use are they to the tribe? I should thank you for weeding out those weaklings."

"You're welcome… I guess?" I said with a bit of confusion.

"I've had my eyes on you for quite some time. You are strong. Not only have you managed to defeat a group of my men but showcased an efficient way to use Dust. That takes skill… and talent. So I'm giving you an offer: join my tribe. I can help you grow stronger." Raven offered.

So that's it. She wants me to join her ragtag group of muscle heads because I beat a few of her grunts, but I guess that isn't too surprising. Raven was always looking for strength for her tribe, but mostly for herself. She wanted to gather people strong enough in order to survive the aftermath when Salem got all the Relics. Though in reality, she wants strong people so that she can throw them at Salem when she inevitably sends her grunts to find the [Spring Maiden], which is her.

'It would be beneficial, and I could learn actual swordsmanship rather than relying on [Muscle Memory]. However…' I narrow my eyes at Raven. "I don't trust you. You asked me to join right after I killed your men and was about to finish off blondie over there? That's suspicious as fuck. It also sounds like you need me because you want a strong pawn and nothing else."

I may not be able to see her face, but I can feel the glare she's directing at me.

"If you would not come with me… then I'll just have to remove you before it's too late." Raven's hand went to [Omen], her signature weapon, and pushed the hilt forward a little with her thumb.

"So you're just going to kill me, is that it? Well, whatever. Though I shouldn't need to tell you to keep your eyes on the prize, or in your case, ice." I smiled.

Raven looks confused before she feels her feet going numb. Looking down, she is shocked to see her feet frozen solid. She sees the sheet of ice connecting it to her feet and trails it back to the boy's feet producing the ice.

My hand ignites with fire. "And now for the finale." I throw the fireball to a shocked Raven and it detonates, leaving a cloud of ash and smoke.

"Time to go." I turn around and run straight towards the forest as fast as I possibly can.

Raven swings [Omen] to disperse the miniature smokescreen, only to find that the boy is already gone.

"Damn brat." Raven growls as she uses her leg strength to break herself free from the ice.

"W-What do we do?" Shay meekly asks.

Raven doesn't answer and instead swings her sword vertically, opening a red vortex in front of the two bandits.

"W-What-!" But before Shay can finish, he is kicked into the portal by Raven.

"If you truly have THAT then I can't let you go." Raven began. "I may not be able to find you, but I can draw you out. And I know exactly how to do it." She turns to the opposite direction and sets her plan into motion.

I lean against a tree as I breath heavily from all of the running I made.

"Fuck, that was too close for comfort. If she wasn't so focused on her little speech I would have never pulled it off." I wheezed out.

[You do realize it wouldn't be long before she finds you, yes?]

"Did you see those stat numbers!? She can snap my neck like a twig if she wanted to!" I snap back. "The only reason I'm not dead is because she doesn't give a damn about her people! If she did, I wouldn't be talking right now!"

[Are you seriously that afraid of her?}

[Gamer's Mind] kicks in while I manage to even out my breathing. "Yeah, I am. I'm afraid of fighting her and losing. Despite her flaws, Raven is a powerhouse, not only because of her fighting skills but her mastery of magic as the [Spring Maiden]. As I am now, I have no way of countering her magic and I doubt [Muscle Memory] can keep up with her superior speed and reflexes."

I open my [Inventory] and take out the two crystals and crush them. Two colorful orbs fly upwards before they fly into my body. I bring up my stats and my eyes widen slightly.

I quickly twirl around as I hear another noise, and slowly another zombie appears but this one is different as it has a bag strapped to its back. I reach for my sword and, with newfound confidence, I charge towards the monster before it can attack and effortlessly cleave it from the waist down.

The zombie crawls towards my leg, but I run my sword through its head, killing it quickly.

Skill Level Up!

[Observe LVL. 23/100]

The Zombie Soldiers let out a roar that catches all of the other zombies' attention. The soldiers point to me and all of the other zombies rush towards me. It seems that the soldier-types can direct the lesser zombies.

"You want to dance, fellas? Okay then," I have my sword in my left and a fireball in my right. "Let's dance!"

I rush at the zombies like a crazed madman. I throw a fireball at a random zombie and decapitate it. I quickly turn to the other zombie and plunge my sword into its throat, but not before I feel something on my shoulder. My head snaps back as a zombie immediately plunges its teeth into my shoulder.

"Argh!" But then another zombie appears and bites my right arm.

HP - 2,494/2,640

"GRRRRRRR!" I ignite myself in a coat of fire, burning the zombies off my body. "NOW YOU'VE DONE IT!" The flames spread to my sword and slice down the other zombies with ease. I turn my attention to the [Zombie Soldiers] and waste no time in closing the distance.

The first soldier raises its lead pipe but I parry it with my sword and converge all of the fire into my hand and form a thin needle and ram it into the monster's torso. The zombie's eyes and mouth glow orange and fire emerges from every orifice in its body and falls. The groans of the other soldiers grabs my attention which prompts me to grab the fallen pipe and throw it at one of the zombies causing it to stagger.

I rush at the staggered monster and jump into the air, taking my sword with both hands and pulling them back. A white light covers the tip of the sword and I deliver a downward slash, causing a burst of energy to erupt the moment my sword hits the ground.

The [Zombie Soldier] stands still for a few seconds before its body is split into two. The last soldier tries to plunge its ax into my back, but I manage to leap away just in time. Ice begins to appear in my hand and fires a blast of frozen air that freezes the zombie's body before slamming my sword into the ice sculpture and shattering it into pieces.

Level Up!

"Haaa… haaa-UGH!" A searing sensation suddenly overtakes me and my exhaustion quickly switches to pain and I collapse. I raise my left arm and see that the bite mark from the zombie is completely infected, with black veins popping up and spreading rapidly as the same thing happening to my right shoulder.

"Shit! I am not dying here of all places!" I open my [Inventory] and take out the [Remedy] I found in that backpack. I rip off the cord and drink the contents and immediately the black veins recede and bite marks disappear.

"Haa… much better." I turn my attention to the building just beyond. "Now… what were you all guarding from me?" I stand up and walk inside the building. The lobby was large and completely ruined, the remains of what looks to be a front desk can be seen. "This looks like a bank… and I bet," I point to the vault beyond. "I'll find something useful there."

"RRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRR!"

I look up and something massive crashes in, creating a cloud of dust. I cover my eyes but I can still see something rising from the crater as a massive hand swipes it all away. It is larger than a normal zombie, it's body is larger, the right arm in particular as it is larger than its entire body while its left arm just hangs limply a literal string of meat. Its head barely has any hair and its jaw is completely missing revealing a series of decaying and broken teeth as if it was hit by something powerful and it only managed to knock out its lower jaw.

Thoughts about you: KILL!

"Well, this escalated quickly." I comment as I prepare myself.

The brute roars and charges at me with insane speeds, raising its right arm in an attempt to punch me. I narrowly dodge the attack and the monster crashes into a pillar due to the momentum.

"How can something THAT big move so fast!?" I exclaimed.

The giant monster picks itself up from the rubble before turning to my direction. With a single step, the brute is already right in front of me. I ignite my hand and throw a fireball right at its face causing it to stagger back. The monster groans in pain as it attempts to put out the fire.

I dash forward and charge for a [Braver], however I'm caught off guard by the monster's fast recovery and it swipes me away, where I crash into the wall.

This fucking monster kept bashing until there's nothing but and a crater a red puddle inside. It wants me to die.

HP: 616/2,920

But I refuse.

I glare at the massive zombie with [Rage], quickly get on my feet. I charge at the monster as it raises its arm to deliver one massive punch, but I jump at the last second and climb towards its head. I leap upwards and ready myself for another [Braver], and this time succeed. The Brute screams in agony as I twist the sword in its skull before it ignites.

"BURN!" I scream at the monster.

The boss monster lets out another scream as it raises its arm to pull me off, but its arm goes limp. I jump off as the brute collapses and burns on the floor before I fall as well from exhaustion and blood loss.

Skill unlocked:

[Sonido LVL. 1/10]

A technique that Arrancars can use. It is similar to Shunpo(Flash Step) as it allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. However, the key difference is that Sonido makes a booming or static noise when it is used.

Cost 12 SP

"Ah fuck… that…" I take a deep breath and exhale. "That… fuck!"

[Calm down. It's not like you died]

"I ALMOST died, you moron!" I growled in anger before I calmed down.

[Whatever. Now that the boss is dead, you can open the vault. Maybe you'll find something worth the effort, yes?]

"Right." I stand up and make my way towards the vault door. I grab the handle and pull and it moves which takes me by surprise. As the heavy swings open, I walk inside only to find everything destroyed and whatever valuables that were stored inside gone… except for one.

A silver chest.

"A medieval treasure chest in a modern day bank?" I walk up to the chest and open it, and what I see shocks me.

Inside the chest is a weapon that looks to be the cross of a gun and a sword. A Gunblade. However, what draws my attention is the etching across the blade and a lion keychain attached to the base of the hilt.

[Revolver] - Rank: C

A Gunblade: a blade with a firing mechanism built into the hilt, the barrel running inside a part of the blade. Triggering a round in the gun chamber sends a shock wave through the blade, increasing its damage potential, but the timing required is hard to learn, which is why it takes years to master wielding a gunblade.

This particular Gunblade was owned by Squall Leonhart, as evidenced by the Griever memorabilia on the weapon.

Deals 153 + STRx1.5 Physical Damage

Skill acquired:

[Renzokuken LVL. 1/10]

Gunblade only.

It sees the user deliver a series of rapid strikes with their gunblade before ending in a finishing maneuver.

Depending on the hits performed, one can perform the following: Rough Divide, Fated Circle, Blasting Zone, or Lion Heart as a finishing blow.

400 ~ 6,000x1.5 Physical Damage (Depending on the Gunblade currently equipped)

Cost 38 SP

It's the Gunblade from Final Fantasy 8! I can't believe I have one of the series' most iconic weapons! This is so cool!

Skill Acquired:

[Chromas LVL. 1/10]

W.D. Gaster's signature magic. Allows the user to use different types of magic related to the seven Soul Traits. It also gives access to the Gaster Blasters and other techniques.

It summons up to seven hands each with a hole in the center, and the color of the chroma he uses will fill the hole:

Red - Takes the form of lasers or energy blasts.

Orange - Creates small white orbs that when triggered turn orange and release powerful explosions.

Yellow - Rapid fires small bullets

Green - Summons a shield or dome to block attacks.

Cyan - Fires multiple strings at the target, one for each finger

Blue - Very versatile. Fires up to two circular razor blades per hand.

568 + MAG Physical Damage(x100 when using Black)

Cost 80 MP

Perk acquired:

[Bloodlust]

All physical stats are increased by 25%, but they will be hellbent on killing their opponents.

Items acquired:

[Iron Bracer] - Rank: D

An iron bracer for your right arm. A little hefty but durable to protect you from above average physical attacks.

Gains 7% Physical Damage resistance on the armored parts.

[Lesser DEX Crystal] - Rank: E

A weak crystal that when crushed, increases one's DEX by 5.

[Lesser CHA Crystal] - Rank: E

A weak crystal that when crushed, increases one's CHA by 5.

[Lesser MAG Crystal] - Rank: E

A weak crystal that when crushed, increases one's MAG by 5.

[EXP Necklace] - Rank: B

Increases experience obtained by 30%, and slightly raises max AP. WIS +2

[Uncommon Gacha Token(x3)] - Rank: C

Middle Tier Gacha Token, give one random uncommon items like weapons, skills or perks/traits

I stare at the pile of crystals, necklace and Gacha Tokens. The crystals are a neat bonus, I thought these would be rare considering what they do. The Gacha Tokens are identical to the others but it's silver rather than Gold, and though I didn't have time to check the other Tokens, it'll likely be bronze or something.

Next is the [Iron Bracer] which I immediately strap on my right arm. "Wow, the description wasn't kidding when it said it was hefty."

I take the crystals and do the same thing I did to the last ones.

Last thing left is the [EXP Necklace], a silver necklace with a crystal hanging by the chains. "Isn't this from Kingdom Hearts? Oh well, this is my lucky day." I put the necklace around my neck and hide it under my shirt and use [ID: Escape] to return to the forest.

"What an eventful day. I'm exhausted." I yawn loudly. "I guess I'll go to that inn in Shion that the bartender was talking about."

I decided to use [Sonido] for the first time in order to not waste anymore time, leaving a static noise where I was standing. The sensation is incredible, it's like I'm floating just from taking a single step! It doesn't take too long before I arrive at the village, but that's where I find something I don't expect.

Bandits.

Bandits from the Branwen Tribe everywhere. Holding everyone hostage.

"Look who finally showed up. You've made us wait for quite some time."

I turn around to see none other than Raven Branwen herself with her henchmen.

"Raven." I glare at her.

"I knew you would return to this village so I decided to give you a welcome home present." Raven states.

I slowly reach for my sword.

"Don't." Raven's voice stops me from grabbing the handle. "If you grab your sword, I will order my men to execute everyone in the village."

"You wouldn't dare…"

"If you don't believe me, then do it. Call my bluff. But be warned, the lives of every single man, woman and child are in your hands." Raven states.

I glare at the bandit queen as I reach for my sword, but then the sound of crying draws my attention. I turn to see a child crying as their mother hugs them, all the while bandits hold them at gunpoint.

'Tch, I can't believe I'm doing this." I pull out my sword and throw it at the ground. "There. I surrender, now let them go."

Raven says nothing and walks up and before I know it, she punches me in the face.

Everything goes black.

Author Notes

Here it is. Took a while to finish. I haven't written something this long before.

From this point, things are going to play out differently than in the original; more condensed if you know what I mean.

As always, leave a comment. The good, the bad, it doesn't matter.

Peace~
