Eraserhead looked over the dejected forms of those who had been assembled for the assignment that his colleague Midnight had put together alongside his student. Or, more assumably, his former student. Even the term student was likely up for debate, it was difficult to determine whether or not Shirou had actually learnt anything while under his care.
He had had his suspicions after all, which was why he had made the call to get Hawks in on the action. While it had been a smart move on his part, it seemed that not even one of the top five heroes had been able to keep Shirou restricted if, or in this situation, when he had decided to go rogue. He felt that he had made the right call, but it was also a call that now had one of the top heroes in the country having received medical attention in the middle of a busy street. He could predict how much of a media mess this was going to create.
At least the sheer number of heroes who had been in attendance had dwindled down now, though not necessarily because they had gone their separate ways. Primarily, the Wild, Wild Pussycats along with along with Gang Orca had gone to apprehend Vlad King. When the former teacher was brought in he would be interrogated but whether they would be able to get any information out of him was unlikely. The plan he had concocted with Shirou could very well capitulate within the next handful of hours for all he knew. They had nowhere near enough information to even begin to conduct a search for the teenager along with the missing member of the League of Villains.
That wasn't even to mention the news he was currently receiving from the headmaster, because to only make a greater mess of things, it seemed that Shirou wasn't the only one of the teenagers under his care that was causing him headaches. Bakugo, Yaoyorozu and Jiro had decided to leave the school grounds after having caused a rampage in the Development Studio. There whereabouts were currently unknown but Nezu had local heroes in the vicinity on standby along with visuals on all major transport options. Given the explosive nature of Bakugo, he hoped that the boy would make an error and would be detained along with the other two swiftly.
Given that they had been training underneath Shirou, and the three of them were his most devout students, he doubted that it would be that simple. Given that they had left the grounds several hours prior and had yet to be detained, there was no telling which direction they had traveled in or just what they actually had planned.
...
Under the flickering brightness of a streetlamp, a manhole shuffled out of position ever so slowly as a pair of eyes scouted for any signs of danger. Determining that the coast was clear, the metal disc was shoved to the side before three teenagers stepped into fresh air for the first time in half a day. When the three of them stood tall, they each removed the gas mask that Yaoyorozu had created for them and tossed them into the sewer before covering up the hole in the street to make it look as if nobody had been there in the first place.
"What's the plan now?" asked Jiro as the three of them slinked off into a nearby alleyway, off of the main road. "We didn't actually bring our phones or any form of cash or card with us and we kinda both need to eat and find somewhere to sleep."
Bakugo grumbled something incoherent as the three of them stepped off the road but knew that they had done the right thing in that regard. Had they brought their phones with them then there was a good chance that they would have been tracked down immediately, along with the possibility of them using a bank card to either purchase something or rent a room. "This time of night there's probably a broker open somewhere," he said as he gazed down the street. "If you're capable of making something valuable, jewels or the like, then we can sell it off to have enough to get by for a while."
"Top end jewels would be put under a microscope too much," said Yaoyorozu. "It shouldn't be too hard to create a couple of 'family heirlooms' that wouldn't attract too much attention."
"Whatever works," scoffed Bakugo. "Just try not to draw too much attention to yourself."
"Of course," responded Momo as she walked off to accomplish her task, leaving Bakugo and Jiro in the shadows.
"What's our next course of action? Do you have a plan for tracking down Shirou or are we just winging it from here?" asked Jiro.
"The sword bastard is probably that far away by now that'd be impossible to catch him," said Bakugo. "Our job then is to make it as easy as possible for him to reach whatever his target is. If we can force any percentage of heroes off of his tail for as long as possible, then we'll have accomplished our goal."
"So the more eyes and ears looking out for us, the less looking for Shirou."
"Not only that, but they'll believe that the four of us are moving together, so we need to draw some attention to ourselves and make anybody following our trail believe that the sword bastard is with us. Thankfully, once ponytail is done sourcing some money we need her to craft the fanciest weapon she can recall the prick to have used."
"You know it's not going to be the same," declared Jiro, knowing full well how special the weapons Shirou crafted were.
"Doesn't have to be, the authorities just have to believe that it is," stated Bakugo.
"You know as well as I do that Shirou simply doesn't leave his weapons lying around."
"That he doesn't but the damage caused by them still remains," smirked Bakugo menacingly. "Also, because we know what kind of person he is, even if he's on the run, he will still act by his beliefs. It doesn't matter if half the country is after him, if he encounters a villain then he will still act accordingly. We're going to take down as many criminals as we can as vigilantes and force the heroes to look in our direction! The sword bastard has a plan, we just have to make sure he ain't interrupted."

To say that Midoriya couldn't sleep that evening was a understatement.
In the space of a short day, everything around him had come crumbling down around him and those around him. Whether he and his classmates could have done something to stop everything from happening lingered throughout his mind. All of them had stepped up to stop Shirou from leaving, yet in the end they could do nothing. Words had done nothing to sway him from his path and they were less likely to have stopped him with actions had it come down to it.
Now they were all on probation, forbidden from leaving the building until the mess had been sorted. Seeing their teachers in such a panic had been terrifying, knowing that one of their friends had been the root of it all. Each of them had been questioned by the professional heroes and, from what he could tell, each of them had given the same answers.
That at the end of the day, they couldn't do anything.
He had One for All as a quirk, the quirk bestowed on him from All Might, the most powerful quirk there was and yet he had been weak. Even if he had known how the day was going to turn out, could he have actually struck Shirou down? Could he hurt someone close to him to save the other heroes from the anguish they were now experiencing?
Was that what it truly meant to be a hero? To do everything necessary for the safety of all those around you while sacrificing your own happiness?
Sitting on top of his bed, Midoriya started looking back to when he was a child, idolizing each and every hero for what they contributed to society. Each interview they performed, each time they stepped in front of the camera, they did so with the intention of assuring the general public that everything was alright with the world. In doing so, in order to keep the populace happy, they would never discuss if anything was troubling them physically or mentally. Midoriya could only imagine some of the atrocities that some of these heroes witnessed before dealing with the public. To push back everything they had witnessed and to show a strong face would be incredibly taxing day in and day out.
Was this what society demanded of their heroes? Was this what they were being trained to do? To not only help citizens with the troubles that they could be faced with but to prevent the citizens from fretting about their day to day lives by carrying all of their burdens?
Midoriya now found himself unable to sleep for more than a single reason.

Himiko Toga found herself at something of an impasse as she ate breakfast that morning. Part of her curiosity was purely by the fact that she had been able to eat breakfast at all in the first place, by herself and nearly unsupervised. She was given cutlery and everything, tools which could be deadly in the right circumstances.
Given that her one time idol was sitting across from her with an unblinking gaze, told her that it would be foolish to do something that could draw the ire of Stain. The Hero Hunter had not said a word when preparing her breakfast, a statement which she never believed was possible to begin with. The thought was even more bizarre given how good the meal he had prepared tasted.
Even given the fact that she wasn't in any cuffs and was given delectable food, Toga had no doubt that she was still a prisoner. The pep talk she had gotten from Tohsaka Rin when she had been brought into her new residency had been very straightforward. Behave by her rules and she would be fine. Break her rules and she would suffer excruciating pain unlike anything she had ever experienced before.
Given that the feared villain Stain catered to the woman's whim, Toga could only imagine what kind of fearful woman she was. Such thoughts were immediately dashed when said woman walked into the kitchen, looking completely disheveled after having just woken up. Walking over to the refrigerator, Rin opened it up before taking out a carton of milk and drinking straight from it.
"You're meant to use a glass for drinking Miss Rin," piped up the petite voice of the child of the household. Rin grumbled something incoherent which caused Eri to giggle as Rin put the milk back in the fridge.
"Good morning everyone," chimed in La Brava, the petite woman walking in with what Toga could only consider was her man servant.
"Good Morning La Brava," beamed Eri excitedly. "Are we going to be doing some new things today?"
"I'm sure we will find something to do Miss Eri," declared Gentle, causing the young girl to smile brightly.
"As lovely as this scene is," said Toga, choosing this moment to speak up. "Why am I here? What do you all want with me?"
"I was just doing what was asked of me," grumbled Rin, her words only just being recognisable.
It was because of this recognition however that Toga stilled in her chair as a severe chill crept through her body. This was a woman who Stain served, willingly by the looks of it given the fact he was currently whipping up breakfast for the rest of the people in the building. From that fact alone, it was obvious that nobody would ask a favor from her without her getting something out of it. Especially when the favor was to hold a wanted criminal in their home when half the country was looking for them.
Toga could only think of one person whom Rin would oblige such a wish to.
"Stop it," warned Stain, his voice cutting coldly through the air.
All eyes fell on Toga before she looked down at her hand and how tight she was holding the cutlery in her hand. Not only that, her grip had altered. Her knife was held similarly to how one would hold a dagger, coiled and ready to strike. She couldn't help but swallow nervously at the sheer thought that the image of that man had caused her to go on the defensive.
"What's going on in here?"
If the thought of that man had caused Toga to shiver in fear and arm herself with a mere butter knife, the sound of his voice caused her to push herself away from the table, knocking the chair to the ground in the process. For the briefest of moments she considered the two small individuals within the room and how quickly she could hold the knife to their neck to give herself some leverage. No sooner had the thought crossed her mind though did she find herself embedded in the wall behind her, pain ripping through her body after an invisible force had blasted into her.
"Just reminding my latest guest of the house rules," declared Rin. "The rule she broke this time was that she looked at Eri in a way I didn't approve of. Hence, I disciplined her accordingly. Hopefully she learnt her lesson."
Gritting her teeth in pain, Toga looked at the person whom she considered her prison warden. She had attacked her without mercy just from the look that Toga had given the young girl. Perhaps she truly was the most dangerous individual there, even with the other powerful people present.
"Well," started Shirou as he made himself comfortable. "Even if she hasn't learnt anything within a couple days, it won't matter."
Even from her position, Toga couldn't help but shiver in regards to how ominous Shirou's words had been.
...
Twice fidgeted nervously within their base of operations, desperation for knowledge having crippled his reasonable train of thought. The League of Villains had been more than aware of the plan to move his friend, however it had been decided that they had stumbled upon the information far too easily. Their plan had adjusted to a watch and observe, knowing when Toga had been deposited in her new prison they could easily overrun the building once the heroes had lowered their guard.
Toga had never made it to her new prison cell, and that terrified Twice.
He needed his friend back.
And at the first opportunity, he would do whatever it took to get his friend back!
...
Hope you enjoyed.
