It was spring break in Paris, For the twins, They usually would've been staying with their very good friend Emily and her parents. However, since they were out of town, the twins were back in the care of Their Aunt Kathy. As the week went by the twins felt that Aunt Kathy had gotten even meaner because of the rising heat. However, the twins managed to get through the hot week. By Sunday it was very hot and Madeline and Riley were trying to keep cool. However Kathy wouldn't let them into the house until all of the chores were done outside. By the time the twins were finally allowed to go back inside, their faces were beat red. Kathy wouldn't let them have anything to drink though. By the time bedtime rolled around The twins fell asleep dreaming about ways to stay cool.
Riley & Madeline and the Pirates
: In an old house in Paris that was covered with Vines lived thirteen little girls, in two straights lines They left the house at Half passed nine in two straight lines, (Thunders in rain... or shine. the oldest one was Riley and the smallest one was Madeline.
The girls enjoyed their walk a lot, except when it was really hot. It was hot in the Moring... and all thought-out the day, it was too hot to study, and too hot to play.
Even Miss Clavel thought it was too hot, so she let the girl go to recess early.
At Recess, Pepito and Steven jumped over the wall to come and play as well.
Pepito said Buenos dias.
All thirteen girls said "Bonjour, Steven and Pepito,
Steven who was dressed up like a bull fighter said In the mood for a little duel Riley?
Riley said too hot,

(Girls) too hot.

Pepito and Steven sighed as they sat down next to their friends, the two boys agreed and said we know. we know. it is too hot.

The girls and Pepito laughed as Steven's face turned red with embarrassment.
:The group then headed inside the house and they were soon all sitting in the parlor with tall cups of lemonade, that's when Lord Cucuface said he had some very good news's about a Mediterranean cruise.
Lord Cucuface said my good friend Lord Poopdeck has lent me his yacht, and you are all invited.
All the girls were impressed at this news and said ahh... Cool!
Madeline had a huge smile as she looked at her sister and said It will be a great adventure.
Riley said "Oui I agree Maddie."
Pepito said may we go too,
Steven said por favor,
Riley nudged her sister and Madeline nodded and made her most pleading face while saying Oui, Oui, Lord Cucuface. Let Steven and Pepito come, too. S'il vous plait?
Lord Cucuface smiled and said "Si, Pepeito and Steven you can come, too, with your parents" permission, of course.
Everyone cheered as the two boys rushed home to get their parents permission.
That night the girls could hardly sleep as they were very excited for their trip the next day.

;Especially Madeline. However as the yacht sailed away Madeline started turning a shade of pale and started to feel a little dizzy. but the small girl didn't think anything of it thought.

Madeline who was standing next to her sister said Please, Lord Cucuface, may I come too.
Lord Cucuface said Now, Madeline you are too small a Girl for such a thing.

Steven said there is so much to Learn.
: while Steven Pepito and Riley were being shown around. Madeline watched, not making a sound.

Madeline and Riley were suddenly awoken by the ringing of a bell. the twins got out of the seats and made their ways to the back of the ship.
Madeline said ah the bell then she thought to herself (That is the perfect job for me.) . Pepito, can I ring the bell, please?
Pepito said No Madeline. it is my job, beside you wouldn't even be able to reach it.
Madeline frowned at her friend's statement, and said Pepito, you and Steven would not even be on this boat If I and Riley had not put in a word for you both.

Miss Clavel then came around the corner to see what all the yelling was about and she said Children please.
Madeline said Pepito will not give me a turn ringing the bell while Riley and Steven are off talking.

As the rest of the group went off to explore,

:Meanwhile... the boat was drifting toward it's fate, and no one saw till it was too late. while the charming port was most appealing, Miss clavel had a very bad feeling.
Miss Clavel said "Something is not right!"

Miss Clavel counted her young children "Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix, onze" Oh no, where is douze, and treize?" Number 12 Number 13?
All eleven girls said "Riley, Madeline!"
Miss Clavel said they must have gone back to the boat!
Lord Cucuface said to the boat.

; when Madeline and Riley's friends returned to the dock, they were all in for a terrible shocked.
Lord Cucuface said the rope- it is broken

Miss Clavel looked worried as she called out Riley, Madeline!

; the truth was worse then they had feared, the yacht had simply disappeared.
Miss Clavel said with a worried expression, we must find them.
Lord Cucuface said, " There, there, Miss Clavel. I have trained Steven and Pepito to be a sailor. they will take care of Riley & Madeline.
Miss Clavel sighed Oui, but who will take care of Steven, and Pepito.
All eleven girls said poor Riley and Madeline! Poor steven & Pepito!
Meanwhile back at sea…
:As Madeline watched each crashing wave, she knew they must be very brave.
Madeline said " Pepito, Steven, and Riley we must sail this boat back to Port.
Steven said Si, Madeline but how?
Madeline said by adjusting the sails, like Lord Cucuface taught you three.
Riley said that is right Maddie"
Pepito said Top Mast,
Steven said " uh, Aft, Stern, and.. Oh Riley, we cannot remember which one is which?"
Pepito said "It is hopeless.
Madeline said it is all right boys I remember, I will take the Helm.

Miss Clavel looked out and said It looks like stormy weather at sea. Perhaps we should wait to find the children.

: they were the first Pirates they had even seen, and oh, they acted very mean
Grey-Beard said and if ye fail, Mateys we will plunder that ship in the Harbor Then splinter it to bits. It will server those Landlubbers right. Argh ha ha ha ha"
Riley said they want to take our ship?
Steven said what shall we do?
Madeline said hmm but then her face lit up as the small girl said I have a plan come with me.
Pepito said I know you wanted a great adventure. Madeline but I am scared
Madeline said we cannot let them take Lord Poopdeck yacht.
Riley said come we can disguise and then we can get a closer now.
: Steven, Riley, Pepito, and Madeline made a vow to stop the Pirates then and now their Rescues hurried on the double to find them, but soon they were in dreadful trouble.
The group had found a small motor boat.
Lord Cucuface said the Motor will not start
Miss Clavel said I do not wish to alarm anyone But, uh I think we are sinking

Meanwhile.. : Madeline and Pepito Riley and Steven wanted to hear the terrible plot of the Pirates Graybeard

Once everyone was back on the yacht, Miss Clavel took the four children in her arms and hugged them.

; that night before they went to bed, Riley told Miss Clavel about how Madeline looked pale. Miss Clavel said "Oh Dear I was wondering why Madeline looked so pale. Kathy said that she would be fine on the boat.
Riley nodded." Do you mind if I call Miss Helen and tell her about it? Riley asked her teacher.
Miss clavel nodded and said oui , I want to talk to her as well.
After Riley dialed the number, Helen answered. "Hello"? Hellen said.
"Hi Miss Helen it's me Riley." Riley said
"Oh Riley How are you and Madeline doing Mathew and I heard you had to stay with Kathy over spring break. She didn't hurt you two did she? Helen asked.
Riley answered no she didn't hurt us but she made us stay outside in the heat until early evening.
"Oh my dear I'm so sorry we weren't there. Helen said
"It's alright Riley said. Though we recently got back from a boat trip, Madeline told me that she felt dizzy and I saw that she was very pale. Miss Clavel asked Kathy when she was told about the boat trip when she dropped us off saying that Madeline would be fine."
Helen was shocked as she said " No according to a note that I have from Dr Chon, Madeline has a high level of sea sickness. Riley was shocked that once again Kathy had lied to Miss Clavel. Riley said "Okay."
Helen then said let me speak to miss Clavel and tell Madeline that we hope that she's feeling better.
"Oh I will." Riley said. And then she handed the phone to Miss Clavel.
"Allo"? Miss Clavel said.
"Hi Miss Clavel it's me Helen. Helen said
"Hi Helen, did Riley tell you what happened with Madeline on the boat? I noticed that she looked pale and was swaying a little. I know some children are prone to seasickness but isn't there a medicine to help with that Miss Clavel asked.
Helen said Miss Clavel I know Madeline is okay with Walking, Flying and Taxi and Train. But with boat Madeline isn't fine so Dr Chon has Madeline on a Dramamine pill to keep her seasick level at ease.
Miss Clavel was shocked "Well when I told Kathy about the trip when she dropped the twins off she said that Madeline would be fine and there's nothing wrong with her."
Helen sighed and said I know I told Riley the same thing a few minutes ago. Miss Clavel Kathy lied to you once again. Helen said.
"I had a feeling that her statement didn't sound right, Miss Clavel said angrily.
"I know I'm angry as well and I'll make sure that the child wellfare office knows about this recent stunt. Helen said.
"Alright I'll make sure that I get the medicine from the Dr Chon in the morning. Thank you for telling me about this. Miss Clavel said.
"You're welcome and let me know if there's anything else that me and Mathew can help you with. Helen said
"Oh I will. Miss Clavel said and she then hung up the phone.
