"Sensei. Please. We already have to do something" The white-haired guy with wooden hands held his cell phone to his ear. "The kid has started training the element bending. If he manages to learn a little, there will be more problems for us" He kept scratching his neck obsessively. His red eyes were a bit wild, in total despair.
"Tomura, I told you-"
"The kid's all or nothing, sensei," Tomura sighed, dropping his head against the table of the cafe-bar he was at. In front of him, a strange being made of purple smoke was cleaning a small crystal glass. "And you already had to cover what he did on Dagobah Beach. At the very least you have to come up with a real plan and not just... Wait 'till something happens."
"... What would you like to do then?" The man questioned him, to which the boy just pursed his lips.
"I don't know, grab him, keep him near… something" He replied.
The man made of clouds and smoke handed him the clean glass with what appeared to be litchi juice. The boy took it in his unoccupied hand and began to play with the liquid in the glass.
"Sure..." The man on the phone sighed. "Then, if you think it's convenient to catch him now, we'll do it. Just remember the situation and why you're doing this, Tomura…"
"Wait." The boy left the glass alone, craning his neck. His wild eyes seemed to calm down and focus. "It's just going to be vigilance still. The boy has... a friend." Tomura frowned a bit, not knowing if those were the correct words, but continued. "A firebender who has been with him almost all the time since I started stalking the kid. And he's like his watchdog" The boy said, squinting. "This is harder than I thought…"
"Why do you say that? If it's another kid his age, there shouldn't be a problem. We'll take them both."
"No, sensei," Tomura said, starting to wiggle his fingers nervously. "If we do something to that kid, the avatar kid might do something to us. And if it's the other way around, it's going to be the same"
"Is he something special?" The voice on the phone asked again.
"Remember what you told me? About the old masters? And the forbidden techniques? I think the firebender is... something like that. I'm just not sure what it is"
"Oh… it's one of them"
"I guess…"
"So what do you suggest?"
"We should keep watching. Try to separate them. Or bring them both together..." Tomura scratched himself again, as if doing so would help him think. "But I do need help. At least not be the only one watching. Doing it myself is... tedious"
"I can put you through to other colleagues, if that's what you want… I have at your disposal hitmen, ninjas, masters of forbidden techniques, spirits, someone else who owes me a favor…"
"... Do you have kids or people my age on the line?"
"I do"
"Then I do have a plan"
The day after the… null airbending practice, Izuku and Katsuki arranged to go to Katsuki's house after school to finally teach him firebending.
Katsuki made sure that his parents were not there that day, so he could train in the yard he had and avoid questions about his "non-bender" childhood friend.
Upon arrival the first thing they did was eat instant ramen. It wasn't the best thing in the world but it was the typical thing the old hag left him with when he said he was bringing friends over for homework.
Katsuki turned to look at the green haired boy.
"Hey, Deku. " He caught his attention.
"What?" Izuku asked, cocking his head to the side.
"First of all… here, your homework" Automatically, the blond boy gave him a large handful of bond paper copies.
"Homework?" Izuku blinked a little in surprise at what the blond boy handed him.
"You're a nerd. You like to read and stuff and, uh, I thought..." He tried to conceal a slight blush that started on his cheeks by taking a sip of the soup. "Maybe it would serve you better to have the old man's notes to catch you up, and well…"
"Oh..." Izuku opened the engarve and started flipping through the copies. "T-Thank you, Kacchan. But..." He turned to look at Katsuki, without closing the pages. "You're not going to teach me? You'll do like Uraraka to give me the information and let me look it up?" Katsuki noticed Izuku's disappointment, and the blond snorted.
"No, dummy," He replied instantly. "It's for you, so you check what I'm going to teach you. The sheets are arranged from the most basic to the most advanced that my dad and I know. " He said, pointing to the notebook. " But that's just the theory. I'm going to teach you the most physical things, based on those pages.
Izuku paused… and then smiled, "Thank you so much, Kacchan", closing the sheets and hugging them a little, before putting the notebook in his backpack.
When they were done, the blond led them to the courtyard: an area not too big, but big enough to have a tree that generated a little shade with a small swing in its branches made from a tire that his father's old man had hung there when he and Izuku were little.
"Okay, go that way" The blond pointed to the shade of the tree "I must... Prepare something…" Katsuki went over to where the water faucet they watered the garden with was, and prepared a bucket of water... In case there were any accidents. He also took the hose with the pressure gun his mom had, for any other accidents...
"Don't you trust me, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, pouting slightly.
"No"
"Don't be mean, Kacchan"
"It's not even because I want to be mean to you, dumbass," Katsuki replied instantly. "But you almost drowned the Frog the other day, and then with the mastodon you didn't do anything and neither did you yesterday" Katsuki said, bringing another bucket of water to where the green-haired man was. " So I suspect it's all or nothing with you.
"The near-drowning was an accident..." Izuku kicked the grass a bit in frustration.
"And accidents with fire can be worse" The blond crossed his arms. "It's better to take precautions"
"Okay. So how do we start?" The nerd asked, keeping the pout on his lips, still kicking the grass gently.
"The first thing every firebender must learn is..." The blond boy began, standing in front of Izuku and stopping what he was currently having by grabbing him by the shoulders. He slowly ran his hands down the boy's arms, trying to calm him with these movements, "How to Breathe"
Izuku remained static, looking him in the eyes.
"The source of a firebender's power is the breath" Katsuki took a deep breath, telling the freckled kid everything his father had taught him for years. "When we breathe, we fill our body with oxygen, which is transformed into energy, and this energy passes through the whole body and..." He turned to the side, punching the air with my fist and generating a controlled but burning flame. "It transforms into fire"
Izuku listened attentively, although he was trying to imitate the blond's movements and breathing as he made them. Obviously, when he made the last move, nothing came out.
But Katsuki knew Izuku well enough to know that his childhood friend was a person who learned more by imitating than by whatever he heard. And somehow watching him imitate him made him feel a strange but nice thrill in his chest.
Still, he knew he had to be careful.
"Let's go with the breaths first, as I said," He commented, standing up straight again. "Remember the horse stance that Glasses taught you?"
Izuku automatically nodded, and without saying a word, they both did the posture at the same time, facing each other, entirely synchronized.
Very close and yet far away from each other.
"The first breath helps to deliver oxygen to each of our cells and to regulate the heartbeat and blood flow. It's a five-seconds inhalation and five-seconds exhalation" Katsuki said, then began to take a deep breath in through his nose: One, two, three, four, five... and out through his mouth: one, two, three, four, five seconds... He did this breathing about three times, before telling Izuku with his eyes to imitate him. The first three times it took a little work, but after a while, they were both breathing at the same time, which made the palpitations of their hearts synchronize.
When Katsuki thought Izuku had mastered that basic breathing, without saying a single word, he instructed Izuku to imitate his movements. Katsuki began to move his arms, rotating them smoothly and fluidly.
Izuku imitated it, though he thought they looked like waterbender movements, which confused him a bit because Izuku didn't even know the basics of that element... Maybe it was past lives coming into his head.
After a while, he began to move his knees, stretching one leg and bending the other more in rhythm with the arm movement. Izuku followed his rhythm. After a while, Katsuki increased the speed, and Izuku followed instantly.
They were doing these movements for a few more minutes, when Katsuki suddenly stopped and stood up from the position they were in. Izuku was about to imitate him, but Katsuki stopped him.
"Nah nah. You go on" He folded his arms.
Izuku snorted instantly, and continued with the movements. It looked like the boy wanted to talk, but Katsuki didn't let him.
"If you're wondering what this is for:" He said, rolling his eyes. "These movements will open your lungs, so you should be able to breathe deeper, plus it will increase the blood flow more than just breathing. " He continued, and then kept watching his posture, his breathing, absolutely everything the boy was doing.
Izuku continued with the exercises, suddenly he would move the wrong arm or move it harder, suddenly he would move forward a little...
"It's five seconds per inhalation and five seconds per exhalation" Katsuki scolded "And your arms in rhythm with each breath"
Izuku pouted, but continued with the poses and breaths for another few minutes, starting to sweat more and more.
"Stop," Katsuki indicated. Izuku instantly stopped and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his gloves. "Okay, how do you feel? " asked the blond.
"Is it me or is it hot today?" Izuku asked, rubbing his eyes as the sweat apparently got into them.
"Good. That means you can do firebending…"
"Really?" Somehow, Katsuki's confirmation made him excited.
"Yup" Katsuki simply said, to which Izuku jumped a little bit on the tips of his toes, more excited.
Katsuki tried not to show that the green"haired man's attitude had motivated him a little bit and made him smile, so he focused on his pants' bags and started rummaging through them, taking out a small square of paper about the size of his palm, which he held between his fingers.
"This next exercise is for beginners" He said, showing him the piece of paper.
Izuku nodded.
"My old man used to give it to me when I was little, so..." he turned to look at him, narrowed his eyes. "Try not to fuck up. If you do, I'll punch you or something…"
"You don't have to threaten me," Izuku frowned.
"Don't complain and pay attention" Katsuki glared at him, to which Izuku just rolled his eyes.
Katsuki took the paper he had pulled out with one hand, and with the other he pinned the center of the slip of paper, leaving a small ring of burning ash in its center, which did not reach the edges. He took it with the index finger of both hands from the edges.
"Hold it as I am holding it." The blond indicated, and Izuku's hands touched Katsuki's. For some reason, that touch felt a little... strange, and Katsuki broke away instantly.
Izuku, on the other hand , ignored the slight blush that came to the blond's cheeks from looking at the slip of paper. He closed one eye and tried to see through the small hole that formed in the center of the paper. He raised his head along with the slip of paper.
"I can see you~" Izuku said, smiling a little mischievously.
"Stop playing around. " Katsuki said very seriously. Izuku put the slip of paper down, pouting again the way he's been pouting almost since the training started. "Okay little shit, you want to train or are you going to continue to antagonize me?" He crossed his arms.
"I'm not antagonizing you…" Izuku puffed out his cheek. "What am I supposed to do with this?"
"You have to keep the paper embers from burning the edges"
"... And I do that... how?" He blinked, cocking his head.
"The breathing I taught you. If you can keep the paper sheet from burning in an hour, I can teach you how to make fire.
Izuku was silent for a few seconds, then frowned in disbelief. "I have to be breathing with the paper in my hands for an hour"
"Yep"
"B-But it's an hour. Can't it be ten minutes?"
"Since when are you so impatient?! And it's starting to burn out without even doing the exercise!" Katsuki scolded, and when Izuku looked at the paper again he noticed that it was more consumed than a few moments ago.
"A-Ah!" He quickly got into the horse stand and started doing the breaths the blond had taught him.
It wasn't long by the time the freckled one started to fail the workout. He took a couple of breaths where everything was going well: the little paper held the orange hoop, but as soon as his breath went faster (it wasn't even a second it was a few thousandths) and the orange ash hoop glowed brighter. Izuku opened his eyes like saucers and tried to breathe slower, which caused the ash hoop to go out almost completely. He tried again with the breath he had learned, and the hoop lit up again...
Not even fifteen minutes passed when the little paper was already consumed almost to the shore.
"You fool!" Katsuki shouted when he saw the state of the paper, and hit Izuku on the head, not too hard but enough for him to feel it.
"You didn't have to hit me!"
"There's no fooling on notice." Katsuki replied seriously, and rolled his eyes and took out another piece of paper. Katsuki lit up the center again and gave it to him. "Now, start again"
"Y-Yes, sir!" Seeing that the threat of the zap was real, he no longer complained and tried again.
It happened again. The paper burned almost instantly as he was now nervous. He received another zap.
"Calm down before you try it the dumbass way!" Katsuki pulled out another piece of paper.
"But how can I calm down if I'm under a threat?" Izuku looked at Katsuki fuming, a little fed up with the blond's attitude.
Katsuki ran his hand over his face, taking a deep breath before continuing to speak.
"Fire is dangerous, nerd. I told you." Katsuki tried to reason. "The threat isn't for nothing. Many firebenders cause accidents by not being careful. Some get burned alive without thinking about it..." Katsuki folded his arms, though it seemed more like a hug to himself. "Just remember what happened to Icyhot's idiot older brother"
The mention of Todoroki-kun made Izuku stand still. He didn't need to be reminded of the reason his friend's family had left Republic City...
Touya Todoroki was burned alive, dying in a murder-suicide attempt Touya tried to commit with his friend Shoto. Todoroki-kun was saved at the last moment, but Touya…
"B-But... Todoroki-kun said that it had been a... special case…" Izuku turned away.
"It is not a special case. Do you remember that sometimes, fire would explode in my face too? It is not fucking funny…" Hearing Kacchan's slightly unsure and hurt voice made his blood run cold.
Kacchan was very good with his fire, as Izuku remembered, but the mention of the "explosion" made him have a flashback.
Kacchan, just like him as a child, had actually been quite accident prone. When they were four years old, several times the Bakugo's had to sleep over at the Midoriya's house because, while Kacchan slept, he ended up burning his blankets. He also remembered that once, while playing, Kacchan almost blew off his own hand trying to make just a flame on his fingers.
Kacchan's dad had had to train him very carefully, because from the start, his friend couldn't control himself very well. And if there was one thing Kacchan knew, it was that fire is lethal.
"There are too many examples, and the last thing I want to happen with your fucking All or Nothing is for you to get hurt"
This reflection made Izuku take a more serious attitude.
"Let me try again"
Izuku tried again, breathing in time, even closing his eyes to see if it would help him concentrate... Somehow, this caused him to get some peace. He felt the time running fast but steady, he felt his breath warming his limbs again, but it was a less abrasive heat than when he was doing the previous movements...
"Stop. It's time" And with that, the whole hour passed in the blink of an eye.
"Really?" Izuku opened his eyes, and instantly felt a relief run through his body, as if the whole thing had tired him out.
Katsuki took the paper from his hands to check it.
"Okay, you've learned how to control your breathing, how to keep some heat, and how to control it. Now, it's time to make fire" He handed it back to him.
"Really?"
"Yep"
"Great! So what do I have to do?"
"Try to light the paper. Do the breaths, but try to make the paper burn now. And when you get the paper to burn, try to get the flame to stay in your hand. But just try to create the flame. One second of fire is enough." Katsuki was explaining the exercise, before finishing with his instructions, he raised his index finger and hit him several times on the forehead, hard. "Don't. Fuck. This up"
" Okay... " Izuku answered, rubbing his forehead, although he felt that this exercise was very repetitive.
Apparently his thought was detected by Katsuki because he answered his mental doubt a few moments later.
"Fire is a living element, but in order to gain real control over it you have to learn the basics. And the way to know the basics very well is by repeating and practicing"
At the firebender's answer, Izuku simply sighed,
"Ok, I'll try" He moved back to the horse stance, holding the paper with both hands. He looked at the paper in his hands, and began to breathe. One, two, three, four, five seconds...
Katsuki waited for a few minutes, while Izuku repeated the exercise over and over again to no avail. Katsuki knew that Izuku had had enough, and even if he wouldn't admit it he had too. It frustrated him that the nerd was so indecisive: he said he was excited to train, but seemed a bit reluctant to do so.
Like he knew something Katsuki didn't, like he was afraid of something, and he didn't like that.
He snapped out of his thoughts when he saw the slip of paper start to burn quickly. Too fast. A flame appeared in Izuku's hand.
Suddenly the flame on Izuku's hand grew too big. For a moment, Katsuki thought the fire engulfed the freckled boy, and made a quick hand movement to try to bring the flames towards himself and put out the fire before anything happened to the freckled boy.
As he extinguished the flames, he saw Izuku kneeling on the ground on the tips of his toes, squeezing his eyes shut and hugging his hands. A lock of his hair was on fire, and his clothes were filled with smoke.
"IZUKU!" the blond shouted, crouching down beside him. He blew the fire out of his hair with small blows. "L-Let me see," the blond indicated.
Izuku squeezed his eyes tightly shut as if he wanted to avoid crying, but he obeyed the firebender. Izuku spread his hands apart, showing Katsuki. His hands were shaking in pain, but apparently the fingerless gloves Izuku normally wore had dampened the fire on his palms a bit, but his fingers were red and swollen.
"You're all right. You're fine, it's not serious... just..." Katsuki automatically turned sideways looking for the hose. He didn't find it nearby, but one of the buckets he had prepared was nearby. "Get-Get your hands here, it will help you..." He dragged the bucket close to the freckled one.
As soon as the avatar's hands touched the water, his pained look seemed to calm down, which calmed the firebender for a few seconds.
The water began to glow like when Tsuyu or Izuku's mother healed him. Only... did it flicker? It flickered as if it was a light flash taking lots of photographs.
"Th-This is...?" Izuku heldhis hands out. The water lingered around the avatar's hands for a few seconds before it stopped flickering and fell back into the bucket of water. "I can heal?"
"No shit, nerd" He snorted, lowering his concern a bit, thanks to Izuku's surprised comment. "Of course you can heal. You're a waterbender now, remember?"
"B-But... It was weird, wasn't it? You saw how it flickered, right?" Izuku commented, touching one hand to the fingers of the other. "It didn't feel like the normal healing I've received from Mom or Tsuyu. It felt... weird" The boy pouted a bit. Katsuki looked at the boy's fingers, which now looked a little... weird. Supposedly, from what he saw, it was a first-degree burn: nothing serious, just a slight swelling. But now it looked like he had a blister on his fingertips... or maybe he didn't look closely at the burn and the healing helped get the blisters out faster?
Yeah. That must be it.
"That doesn't matter right now." Katsuki snorted, staying in a crouch. "What matters is that you're okay, are you okay?"
"Oh, uh... yeah, I'm fine."
"Okay...
Izuku sighed, closing his eyes. Relieved that it hadn't escalated.
Until he received a VERY STRONG slap from the firebender that made him see flashing lights for a few seconds.
" WHAT DID I DO NOW?!"
"I TOLD YOU THAT FOR A SECOND, YOU DUMBASS!"
And between more zaps, more scoldings, and more burns, the training continued.
When he returned home, the first thing he did was to get to his mom. She already knew about the plan he had with his friends. She had even offered to help him with some special diet to help him have energy for training or even pay for a private tutor, although after a little analysis they decided that it would be better if this whole thing stayed between them and his friends so they just adjusted the diet thingy.
Inko was in her room doing... Something, he didn't know what. The woman saw him out of the corner of her eye and gave him a friendly smile.
"Welcome, Izuku. How did the training with Katsuki go?"
"Hi mommy..." He replied, approaching her, and all he could do was collapse on her bed face down. He was exhausted.
"Oh..." Inko brought a hand to her son's head, stroking his hair. The smell of smoke reached her. "... Did you get burned? Are you all right?" her voice took on a tone of concern.
"Physically? I think I'm fine... it just swelled up a little bit..." He replied, lying down on his side and curling up into a ball, putting his head close to his mother's leg. "I discovered that I can heal... But I don't even know how I did it…"
"Well, I'm a natural healer, it makes sense you can heal small wounds without training." The woman couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit of relief at the news. "How did you discover it?"
" Well... I burnt my hands and then put them in water and it started to glow... But it was really weird" Izuku saw the fingers on his hand. His mother saw him look at his hands and took one of them, checking.
"... Izuku. These are blisters. "
"I'm telling you, it was weird... The water flickered, instead of just glowing," Izuku explained, letting his mom manipulate his hand. "Plus it "healed" in a matter of seconds?
The woman frowned more. Well, maybe it was because her son doesn't know how to do it right?
"Do you want me to teach you how to do it the right way?" She asked, smiling at him.
"Yes, please!"
And after that chaotic first week of training, Izuku and Katsuki spent a month with this new routine.
Some days it was training with the lion dogs because of the commitment to the team and the competences (plus they kept telling them that they had abandoned them so Izuku sometimes felt guilty and grabbed Ochako and Katsuki onto that guilt), and the days when he went to the library became physical training in the elements. On weekends, Katsuki now visited the Midoriya's apartment to help the young avatar study the theoretical part of each discipline.
Within a month, Izuku began to notice what came easier to him. Officially, the spiritual part was the easiest: Izuku could go back and forth at will to that like... dimension? Where the old avatars were, and he talked to Yagi-san quite often, informing the man of all his progress.
Then, water was... relatively simple once he got the hang of it: Water is push and pull, it's life, it's fluidity, it's gentle but lethal if the current says so. He could feel the essence of water after a bit of healing training with his mother, and also moving the waves with Tsuyu at Dagobah beach was not that difficult anymore, and it was also quite fun! Still, he was a beginner so he couldn't say much.
Airbending was fun as well! Air is freedom, it's letting go and not resisting the wind currents, it's accepting change. Although he couldn't do more than spin three marbles between his two outstretched hands or dodge three rocks in a row (he always was hit by the fourth one), the fact that it was somewhat similar in concept and motives to water bending perhaps made him feel close to it. Uraraka, more than a teacher, seemed like that classmate you ask for her class notes because on paper she explains extremely well, but asking her to teach you... eh... Not much. But the effort is appreciated.
Fire... Surprisingly he had done well with fire? He still got burned from time to time but it was less and less by the passing time. He had to get fireproof gloves tho. Fire is Pure and Raw Power, it's the origin of life, it's heat, it's determination. Fire can be lethal, but one uses it to cook or to make things, so it is also useful. Kacchan is... a VERY good teacher. Strict, but way too good... Where had he gotten the patience to teach Izuku? He was still very clumsy and his clumsiness is what sometimes causes accidents, but he felt the most confidence in these training sessions than with anyone else. Besides, the notebook with the information Kacchan gave him was too good. It had everything explained in both Uncle Masaru's handwriting and also someone else's handwriting that seemed to correct the occasional point. He assumed it could be the person who teached Uncle Masaru or something but he didn't ask. The fire training classes were his favorites.
And earth... ah... how do we talk about earth?... Iida was a good teacher, don't get him wrong, but as much as Izuku tried to understand what he was telling him it was kind of... weird. Everything was so... squared? Izuku would give suggestions in order to understand what he was referring to, from trying to see this element with metaphors or examples that were a little weird but made sense to him. But Iida would refute any suggestion. "Earth is earth," he would say. According to the tall guy, earth is about firm stances, about strength, about being very very VERY solid, and tenacious. And Izuku was a solid and tenacious person! At least he thought. But for some reason he could not grasp the element. He hadn't managed to move a single rock in a month or "feel the earth" beneath his feet, and he was getting very frustrated. But Iida told him that his tenacity would be the key to finding the grasp of this element, so Izuku wouldn't give up until he did. Small steps.
Besides, with all this, his body was changing a little bit. Before he had noodle arms and now he had them a little stronger, just like his legs with so much horse position already had a little toning and his mom had to make an adjustment to several of his pants because they were squeezing his calves. It's serious! Even the staff noticed it and Kaminari made a… really suggestive comment and he got extremely embarrassed (and Kacchan got a blush for some reason?).
But something important was happening. Something that could change the world, as far as he knew. He already knew what was weird about him from the beginning: He was a reincarnation, he was The Avatar. Maybe no one remembered them anymore, but he was, and according to Yagi-san he had to bring that memory back to the people. He didn't know how to do it yet, though... But he had time! He was only 13 years old and would soon be 14. There was still plenty of time left for a lot of things. If he could make more friends than ever and get Kacchan back in a short time, of course he could do this! He was feeling positive. It's not like everything was going to go down the drain for him in less than two months right?
Right?
…
Whatever.
It was Friday, that day he had arranged with Kacchan to practice... a little bit, very little bit of fire control. More than anything to practice a theoretical part and Kacchan was going to show him the practical part before trying it the following week, while he read the notes of uncle Masaru and, besides, he increased the information with his own writing (as he liked to do it).
They were quiet in the living room, close to their mom because Inko Midoriya was not going to let them burn the curtains again.
"Making a fireball is relatively simple but requires a little more of focus," Kacchan began to explain sitting on the couch in front of Izuku, with a calmness that perhaps had to do with the fact that Inko was present... "A normal flame is to generate the spark at a point that only helps your own energy to catch fire" Automatically, the firebender made a flame in the palm of his hand.
Izuku squinted and tried to make one on his hand, but only smoke came out. Katsuki ignored him and continued with the explanation.
"When you want to make a fireball it's something similar..." The flame in his hand began to rotate, forming a small circle that then became a sphere. "You have to keep your focus on one point, and you have to make your own energy, that works as a combustible, spins so that the fire starts to follow the ring, and then you spin it again. But you have to be very careful because you can get horribly burnt…"
"That's how firebenders make figures, right?"
"Yeah, that's right.
Izuku nodded, understanding completely. He wrote down in another notebook absolutely everything Kacchan told him, and even made a small illustrative drawing of how the figure Kacchan made on his hand looked like.
Suddenly the intercom of the department rang
"What the fuck?!" Katsuki's calm attitude disappeared along with the fireball in his hand. It was still ringing as if the person on the other end hadn't released the call button.
"Somebody answer it, I'm frying the fish!" Inko said from the kitchen.
"I'll answer!" Izuku snorted a little, stretching to his home phone (which was connected to the building's buzzer) and answered quickly. "Midoriya House, what can I do for you?"
"I hope this doesn't get worse…" Katsuki rubbed his temples.
"T-Todoroki-kun?"
"Oh don't fuck with me!" The blond automatically slapped his face. "What is Icyhot doing here?!"
"H-Huh? Y-Yeah, Kacchan is with me, Todoroki-kun." Izuku was still talking, but he automatically turned to look at Katsuki. "Ah? You ask if I'm busy?... uh..." Katsuki told him to say "Yes he is" with his mouth but not making a sound, and Izuku just pressed his lips together. "Y-Yeah I am?" He was silent for a few seconds. "Hey, I-I'm not hesitating! And Kacchan didn't tell me to tell you that I am busy! I'm busy, I'm really busy! That's right" Katsuki rubbed his hands over his face in despair. But Izuku frowned with the phone to his ear. "Wait, what do you mean you run away from home? How did you get here?" Katsuki raised his eyebrows when he heard that. "Okay, come in, it's the same number you called... Wait, you mean you rang all my neighbors to see which house was mine?! Oh, uh yeah. Third floor, apartment two. We'll let you in." Izuku hung up the phone and sat back down, putting his elbows on his knees, clasping his hands together as if he was going to pray, sticking his thumbs and index fingers to his face, and staring at the floor in despair.
"Don't fuck with me, why did you let him in?!" Katsuki instantly complained. Izuku did not answer, and after a few seconds they heard a knock on the door. Izuku got up and opened the door.
And there was Shoto Todoroki, at his door, with his two-colored hair full of twigs and leaves, still dressed in pajamas and slippers even though it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
"What the fuck happened to you?" Katsuki asked behind Izuku.
"I had a fight with my dad." Shoto replied, simply and curtly.
OMAKE:
Izuku: These pants don't fit me anymore, they're too tight around my legs...
Mina: You're getting all ripped, aren't you, hairtwin?
Izuku: Uh... maybe...
Sero: It must be from all the walking back and forth and so on.
Kirishima: Or that he's also doing weights.
Katsuki: Leave him alone, you dumbfucks. *He rolls his eyes".
Kaminari: Man, dude, My man. *He passed an arm on Izuku's shoulders*. At this rate with those legs you're going to be able to break watermelons or heads, right? ?
Izuku: ...K-Kaminari-kun?! *Blushes*
Mina: FUCK YOU, KAMINARI! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sero: HAHAHAHAHA WHAT THE HELL DENKI DON'T SAY THOSE THINGS HAHAHAHAHAHA *He's shitting himself laughing*.
*Izuku covers his face red with embarrassment*
Kirishima: Wow he's blushing so much HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Denki: Not as much as Sparky here *He points to Katsuki who blush if bigger than Izuku's*
Katsuki: DUNCE FACE YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THAT! *Jumps up to attack Denki*
*Meanwhile Mina, Sero and Kirishima are holding each other because they can't stop laughing and are about to fall down while Izuku is still red with embarrassment wanting to be swallowed by the earth*.
Author's Note:
I CAME BACK FASTER THAN LIGHTNING ? OR DID I?
Hahaha anyways. I'm still working but I want to get out of this place because they exploit me and pay me a pittance. Wish me luck :'D
Well, what did you think of this chapter? It's short but we're already moving towards the final stretch of this arc. What do you think is going to happen? What is Shigaraki's plan? What does he mean by Kacchan being "a forbidden bender"? Why is Izuku's life so complicated? Are the kids really good bending teachers for Izuku? What will the boys do now that they have this new routine? Why did Shoto get into a fight with his dad?! WHY DID DENKI'S COMMENT ALSO MADE KACCHAN BLUSH?!
I look forward for your theories! Your comments brighten up my days!
Thanks for reading!
Question of the day:
What do you guys think is the hardest element to handle?
Personally I think with me it would be fire but because I'm half pyromaniac and I know I would lose control too easily HAHAHAHAHAHA
