Chapter 33: Luna Lovegood

That night, I had a dream about Professor Umbridge harming me during detention last night. Professor Umbridge forced me to write lines again with her special quill that cuts deep into my skin. I woke up with sweat after having the nightmare. I took a few moments to catch my breath. I looked to my left and saw my wife, Margo, and my girlfriend, Evelyne sleeping next to me peacefully. Miguel was with Miles in the other room and Nala was with Simba. Evelyne woke up when she heard me gasping for breath.

"Baby? Are you okay?" Evelyne asked me.

"I had a nightmare." I said.

"Oh sweetie, I'm sorry. What was it about?" Evelyne asked.

"Umbridge was hurting me," I said.

"I heard. Hermione told me when you went to bed last night. That is awful. How long has she been doing this to you?" Evelyne said.

"She hurt me last night. Umbridge just joined the school." I said.

"You are going to report this later, right?" Evelyne asked.

"Yes, I am," I said.

"Good. We can't have her hurting you anymore." Evelyne said.

"Can we go back to bed? I'm tired." I said.

"Of course, baby," Evelyne said. Evelyne kissed me. I laid down next to her, wrapping my arms around her for safety. I always did this when I had a nightmare. Being close to someone made me feel safe. After a while of calming down, I was able to fall back to sleep.

I dreaded the day when I woke up the next morning. I am supposed to go to Dumbledore's office today, but I do not want to. I do not want to feel humiliated when I tell him of Umbridge's abuse. I also did not want to give Umbridge the satisfaction when I reported her.

"Lana? Are you up?" Scar asked as he walked into the room.

"Yeah," I said.

"Good. We are leaving in 20 minutes, so be ready." Scar said.

"Leaving to where?" I asked.

"You know where we are going. Dumbledore's office. Then you can get breakfast afterward." Scar said.

"Okay," I said. I got out of bed. I slowly got dressed, and then I dragged myself down the stairs. I met my family at the front door.

"Are you ready?" Nala asked me.

"Yeah," I said. "I don't want to do this, though."

"You have to do this," Ahadi said firmly.

"I know." I snapped.

"Ahadi, don't be too hard on her," Uru said. Ahadi just grumbled. I wonder why he was in a bad mood today. I feel like ever since I returned home from the Dursleys, Ahadi's mood has worsened. He seemed more angrier than usual, and I don't know why. As we were walking down to Professor Dumbledore's office, I decided to talk to Uru about what had been going on with Ahadi because I needed to know.

"Mom? Why is Dad always in a bad mood all the time recently?" I asked her.

"Oh, I don't know sweetie. But I don't think it has anything to do with you, so don't worry." Uru said.

"I think he's just worried," Mufasa said.

"Worried about what?" I asked.

"Worried about you. He's probably more worried now that Umbridge has been hurting you." Mufasa said. That makes sense. He is worried about me. That means he cares for me. It's normal for a father to worry about his daughter. But I wish he didn't have to take it out on me all the time.

"We are here," Becky announced when we got to Professor Dumbledore's office. I do not want to be here right now. But if I did not do this, then my family would not leave me alone about it. So, I had no choice right now.

"Can someone go inside with me? I don't want to go in alone." I said.

"Sure. I can go in with you." Becky said. Margo and Evelyne also offered to go inside with me. I held onto Margo and Evelyne's hands tightly as we made our way up the stairs to his office. Once we got inside, Professor Dumbledore smiled at me.

"Hello, Lana. Is there anything I can do to help you today?" Professor Dumbledore asked me.

"Yes, there is," I said. I looked at Margo and Evelyne. Margo gave a slight nudge to my shoulder.

"You can do this," Margo said.

I took a deep breath, then I mustered up the courage to speak. "I would like to make a report. It is about Professor Umbridge. She has been hurting me."

"She has been hurting you?" Professor Dumbledore said.

"Yes," I said. I lifted the sleeve of my hoodie to show him the cuts on my arm. Professor Dumbledore looked worried when he saw the cuts.

"Oh my. Don't you worry, Lana. I will look into this matter right away." Professor Dumbledore said. I sighed with relief.

"Thank you," I said. I left Professor Dumbledore's office, feeling the weight somewhat lifted off my shoulders. Even though I reported this, I didn't want to tell Harry that I did report it because I did not want to upset Harry more. I was a bit startled when I felt Margo giving me a kiss. Of course, I returned the kiss.

"Great job, babe. I knew you could do it." Margo said.

"Yeah, you did it!" Becky said.

"You handled it well. I'm proud of you." Evelyne said. I smiled. My family was always here to support me through these rough times and I was thankful for it. The other members of my family looked at me with curious faces when we met them downstairs.

"So? How did it go?" Nala asked me.

"Professor Dumbledore said he would look into it," I said.

"Great job, Lana!" Miles said. I walked back to the Gryffindor common room with my family, feeling relief. It felt so good to finally have gotten that out of the way. As promised, Miguel lifted my grounding earlier and I was no longer grounded. But it didn't seem fair since Miles was still grounded and I got off my grounding early.

"Miguel? Can't you lift Dad's grounding too? It doesn't seem fair that I got off earlier than him." I said.

"That is up to his parents. Not me. But I will talk to them and see what I can do." Miguel said.

"Thanks," I said.

"Anything for my baby," Miguel said. Miguel pulled me in for a kiss. We stayed like that for a while until we noticed Jessica standing in front of us. She didn't seem very amused.

"If you guys are done with the mushy stuff... Miguel, I need to talk to you. It's about Umbridge." Jessica said. I gave Miguel a nervous look. Miguel looked at me silently, telling me everything was going to be okay before walking off with Jessica. My mind raced with thoughts again. What if Umbridge found out that I told Dumbledore? What if Umbridge would hurt me more if she found out?

I needed to clear my mind before I went insane, so I decided to go for a walk. Halfway in between my walk around campus, I met Harry who was writing a letter to our Godfather, Sirius. Harry was speaking to himself while he was writing the letter.

"Dear Padfoot...

I hope you are all right. It's starting to get colder here. Winter is definitely on the way. In spite of being back at Hogwarts, I feel more alone than ever. I worry for my daughter every day since she escaped from Voldemort. I know you of all people will understand."

As we continued walking, we heard a Thesteral howling in the distance. Harry and I made our way deeper into the forest. We spotted Luna Lovegood petting one of the Thesteral. I was also surprised and worried when I saw Luna standing on the ground with bare feet.

"Hello, Harry Potter and Lana Potter," Luna said when she saw us walk up to her.

"Hi, Luna," I said.

"Your feet. Aren't they cold?" Harry asked.

"A bit," Luna replied.

"I have some extra shoes if you want them." I offered.

"No, that's okay. Unfortunately, all my shoes mysteriously disappeared. I suspect Nargles are behind it." Luna said. I couldn't help but blush as I listened to Luna talking. I had to admit, I had a crush on her. She's very sweet and kind. But I am married to 4 people already and I have a girlfriend so I am already taken. But maybe if I talked to my husband's and wifes and my girlfriend, then they would let me be with Luna.

"What are they?" Harry asked as the Thesterals walked up to us.

"They are called Thesterals. They're quite gentle, really. But people avoid them because they're a bit..." Luna began.

"Different." Harry finished.

"But why can't the others see them?" I asked.

"They can only be seen by people who've seen death," Luna explained. So that's why the others were not seeing those creatures while I was doing the only one seeing them.

"So, you've known someone who's died then?" Harry asked.

"My mum," Luna said. "She was quite an extraordinary witch. But she did like to experiment. And one day, one of her spells went badly wrong. I was nine."

"I'm sorry," Harry said.

"Yes, it was rather horrible. I do feel very sad about it sometimes. But I've got dad. We both believe you and Lana by the way. That He-Who-Must-Be-Named is back and you fought him, and the Ministry and the "prophet" are conspiring against you and Dumbledore." Luna said.

"Thanks," Harry said.

"Yeah, thanks," I said.

"It seems that you're about the only ones that do," Harry said.

"I don't think that's true," Luna says as she throws an apple to one of the Thesterals. "But I suppose that's how he wants you to feel."

"What do you mean?" Harry asked.

"Well, if I were You-Know-Who... I'd want you to feel cut off from everyone else. Because if it's just you two alone... then you guys are not much of a threat." Luna explained. Luna grabbed a piece of meat from her bag and tossed it to the baby Thesteral. Luna smiled at me and Harry. My heart fluttered with butterflies as I looked at Luna. Okay, now I should confess my feelings to her.

"Luna? Can I ask you something?" I said nervously.

"Of course," Luna said.

"I have been having feelings for you... Ever since I first met you. I think I love you." I said. Luna blushed when she looked at me. My heart pounded nervously.

"I love you, too Lana. I have been having feelings for you too." Luna said.

"You have?" I asked, my voice filled with surprise.

"Yes. Since we first met too." Luna said.

"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" I asked her.

"I would love to," Luna said. I looked at Harry, who smiled at me. I'm glad Harry supported me. Luna leaned in close to me. Then, we kissed. When we pulled away from our kiss, I realized I needed to talk to my spouses about my relationship with Luna.

"Luna, I need to talk to my spouses first before we commit to a serious relationship. Is it okay if we wait for a few days before we become official until I get my spouse's permission to be your girlfriend?" I asked her.

"Yes, of course," Luna said.

"Thanks," I said. I walked away with Harry, feeling a big sense of triumph.

"Congratulations, Lana," Harry said.

"Thanks, Dad," I said.

I am very happy. I was able to confess my feelings to Luna and she said yes! But now, I had to wait for my spouses' permission in order to be official with her. I really hope they say yes.

A/N: Hey everyone! Welcome to chapter 33 for my Harry Potter story! I was going to make this a longer chapter, but I decided to make this a shorter chapter to make stuff line up with the story and there was some extra stuff with the chapter as well and I did not want to overwhelm myself. The scene with Professor Umbridge will be in the next chapter so I will work on that sometime after I post the chapters to my other stories because I don't want to leave those abandoned for too long.

Also, there is something important I want to note as well. My updates might be a bit slow or fast for a while. That's because last week I have sadly found out that my Grandpa just recently passed away. They might be slow because I will be busy with the funeral and they might be fast because writing helps me cope with hard times such as these... I hope you guys can understand my updating process. I will try to get the next chapter out as soon as I can! Until next time, I hope everyone has a good day or night and please don't forget to leave a review!
