Willow was surprised about this sudden reconnection. Their bond had been severed when they were 8, according to Mace, forever.
"Why here? Why now?" she thought. She sensed confusion from Asher as well.
After the initial confusion passed, she began to panic. She wondered if Mace could sense her connection to Asher coming back. She didn't want to be separated from him again, something about him brought her comfort. So far the only person who she could talk to about her personal issues were her sister, Mace, and a bunch of Mandalorians. She didn't have many close friends at the school on Ryloth she could talk to either, so having an outside neutral party seemed like a good idea. She tried reaching out to Asher again, but all she was getting was emotions. She sighed. It probably was gonna take time for their bond to strengthen enough for them to speak to each other again. Still, her mind began to wander. Mace had initially thought he was an imaginary friend and Asher's parents thought the same of her. Mace and Asher's father didn't do anything for three years, and they severed the connection almost immediately after something happened. Willow couldn't remember exactly what happened other than that she was unconscious for a little while. When she woke up she felt uncomfortably empty, and had to listen to an hour lecture about how dangerous these connections were and how she was putting herself in danger.
Still, whatever was connecting them now wanted them to stay connected. She closed her eyes and began to meditate. She focused on anything out of the ordinary, any notes or melodies that weren't supposed to be there, but nothing was amiss. If anything, the Forced sounded happy they were connected. It was strange. She listened to the Force sing to her until she fell asleep.
