"You call yourself a leader!? You're much too small!" Akagi yelled, slamming her hand on the table.
"Size doesn't matter," Nagato shrugs. "You lack wisdom, You and Kaga, you both have to learn to control yourselves after what you did previously."
"I just wanted my sister back! It's not like you lost a loved one!" Akagi shoots back.
Nagato just closed her eyes and drank her tea. "You're wrong; I have lost people close to me before. Mutsu is the only family I have now."
"Grrr...!"
Akagi always found it irritating to see Nagato so arrogant and smug. Even if she does her best to hide it. She sometimes questions why this little child deserved to be leader when Akagi has so many better qualities, despite all the bad things about herself that Nagato had previously called her out for.
"Are we done?" Nagato says. "I want to drink in peace now." Akagi hissed pointing at the smaller fox, who just raised her eyebrow in amusement.
"We are far from done," Akagi growled. "Come on girl, you BARELY come out of your little home to fight alongside us. All you do is sit around, waiting for something to happen, and give out your so-called wisdom whenever we come back from a fight. Doesn't that seem a little...boring to you?"
"Not at all..." Nagato sips on her tea again. "If anything I find it a little amusing to see you frustrated Akagi, its like you get a taste of my world, all I ever do is try to help you, because unlike you I care about those around me." The small fox pointed out. Akagi hissed again at the perceived insult. Standing up and throwing the table aside, surprising Nagato with her sudden aggression.
"You really think I don't care?! The whole point of building Orochi was to save the ENITIRE WORLD, Not just Amagi! If you weren't such a COWARD, I wouldn't have been forced into that situation in the first place!" Akagi snapped back.
Nagato dropped the teacup, a look of shock on her face as she watched it shatter on the ground. She slowly looked back up at Akagi with a furious scowl, the older kitsune's own anger rapidly deflating as she realised the scale of her mistake.
"Coward?! You really think I'm a coward for simply not enjoying warfare?!" Nagato pushed Akagi back, making her stagger backwards for a moment, then she stood up to advance on Akagi, who started waving her hands frantically trying to back peddle her own words.
"N-no! You misunderstand I-"
Akagi didn't get to finish before Nagato punched her square in the ribs. She was forced to exhale hard as her chest caved in, the force of the punch sending her flying out of the pavilion the two of them sat in, leaving her sprawled al over the ground in a heap as Nagato stepped towards her.
"You don't get to talk to me about cowardice Akagi, we almost destroyed ourselves because you couldn't face Amagi's death, it happens, people die, its just a fact of life, and you've had more than enough time to come to terms with that!" Nagato shouted down to Akagi on the ground.
Akagi grit her teeth after catching her breath. "That...wasn't...nice!" She tackles the small fox and the two roll on the floor. Nagato threw in some haymakers, swinging left and right and then overhead. They were tiny hits to Akagi since Nagato's fists are small. They even make Akagi's boobs bounce. With a chuckle, Akagi pushed Nagato away with one hand by the forehead.
"Yaaaaaahhh...!" Nagato swings her fist wildly in a circular motion, but it's futile.
Akagi shoves Nagato back, making her topple backward and fall face first. Akagi starts charging to tackle Nagato again, but the little fox rolls away to evade it. She rushes toward Akagi and the two grab each other's hands. Nagato yanks her own hand away to throw a punch at Akagi's face to disorient her. She then grabs her and lifts her up high. But the older fox uses two of her nine-tails to hop off easily and flip over behind Nagato.
"What's the point of being leader when you can't even do a fist fight properly~?" Akagi teases.
"That is ENOUGH!" Nagato charged and tackles Akagi to the floor. The two start wrestling each other again, though, due to Nagato's small stature, she has the advantage in topping Akagi. Nagato finally manages to land a solid punch in Akagi's face, making her yelp as she turned over to cradle her now busted nose, Nagato then grabbed Akagi by the arms, rolled her over onto her front and pulled them up, making Akagi squeal.
"Submit! This is over!" Nagato ordered.
"Never!" Akagi says. She uses her fluffy tails to whip Nagato's face, but they feel very ticklish as opposed to painful. Nagato started laughing and Akagi used this distraction to throw the small fox off herself. Nagato got up, but was grabbed by Akagi. Sick of this whole fight, she throws the smaller fox like a softball toward the doors, crashing through them and hitting the wall. Nagato is knocked unconscious.
The noise however, alerts two other foxes, much bigger than Akagi and Nagato. "Wha...what's going on...?" the whisper-soft voice of Shinano reaches Musashi's ears.
"Sounds like trouble," Musashi says. "Come on!"
Akagi panted heavily, waiting for Nagato to strike her back, but when she realised the smaller fox wasn't getting up, she gasped in fright.
"Oh fuck...did I kill her?!" She thought in a panic, running over to check on Nagato, just as she kneeled down to check her pulse, she heard a voice that made her blood run cold.
"What is going on here?!" Musashi yelled to her, Akagi looked up to see she and Shinano running over to investigate. The purple haired kitsune saw Nagato beneath Akagi, put two and two together and glared daggers at the slightly shorter fox girl, who whimpered in fear in the older woman's withering gaze.
"Musashi I...I didn't mea-"
"Get Nagato out of here sister." Musashi ordered, interrupting Akagi without breaking the glare. Shinano carefully picked up the child-like Kansen bridal style, while shooting Akagi a disapproving glare of her own before leaving with Nagato.
"I...I swear I...I just..." Akagi yelped as Musashi advanced on her, tripping up, falling onto her backside, and scooting away as Musashi stepped closer.
"I can't believe you would do something like this Akagi...I'm beyond disappointed with you." Musashi stated, standing over Akagi with her golden eyes glowing in her fury.
"I didn't mean to! You have to believe me I didn't mean it! Please don't be angry, I'm so sorry!" Akagi pleaded with the taller fox, tears streaming from her eyes, literally praying on her knees for forgiveness.
"Its not me who has to forgive you, If Nagato doesn't come round soon, I will PERSONALLY teach you a lesson that you won't soon forget, understand?!" Musashi demanded, hauling Akagi to her feet in the process. The brown kitsune tightly closed her eyes, nodding emphatically. "Come on then."
Musashi grabbed Akagi's wrist and dragged her to Nagato's room where Shinano is sitting at her bedside, apart from a small bruise on her head, she otherwise looked OK, Shinano held a damp cloth to the bruise to sooth it.
"Mm...mmmew..." Nagato moans adorably as her eyes flutter open.
"She's waking up..." Shinano says oh-so softly. Nagato sat up and clutched her head.
"Where am I...? My head hurts..." She then looks at Akagi, still crying, and rushing toward her before Musashi could stop her, she takes her tiny hands in her own and sobbed loudly.
"I'm so sorry, Nagato!" Akagi cries. "I shouldn't have lashed out like that and I never should had said those horrible things to you!"
"No...I should apologize, too..." Nagato says. "I'm sorry I started that fight. My...anger consumed me."
Akagi hugs Nagato tightly. The small fox giggles and licks Akagi's cheek adorably as a kiss. Musashi and Shinano's hearts melt at this wonderful sight, seeing Akagi's fox tails wagging. "Its OK Akagi, I forgive you...can you forgive me?"
"Of course I forgive you, you're clearly the better leader." Akagi semi-joked, earning a small laugh from Nagato.
"Hey...do not leave us out...~" Shinano says. She and Musashi then wrapped the four of them in a cocoon made of their own tails, Akagi gulped a little feeling Musashi's bust against her back, but the older fox woman just chuckled.
"If Nagato can forgive you, then so can I you silly girl~" Musashi teased, hugging Akagi close to her. Realising she wasn't mad any more, Akagi sighed in relief, joining the other fox girls as they all started purring contently.
