Afternoon tea and conversation quickly became a part of April and Mark's daily routine. They were now being sent out on milk runs together. Sometimes one of them would shadow the other as backup, sometimes they would go out posing as brother and sister or husband and wife.

Another mission went off the rails when a drunken man tried to grab April. A small knife that neither had seen caught Mark in the side when he instinctively moved between the man and April. Seeing the blood, April's next move insured the man would have difficulties producing an heir.
