Chapter 1: Tracy's Favorite Uncle
Noah Puckerman volunteered to pick up Kurt Anderson's daughter, Tracy, from daycare. As he walked into the building, he noticed kids staring at him. One boy, in particular, seemed to be paying close attention to Noah.
As he approached Tracy, the boy knocked her down, causing her to fall and hit the table. Noah immediately reacted by forcefully grabbing the boy and growling at him. The boy was startled by Noah's reaction and peed in his pants.
Noah was aware of the boy's discomfort and quickly assessed the situation. He realized Tracy had sustained an injury and needed to go to the hospital. He scooped her into his arms and headed to the nearby emergency room.
As Noah drove to the ER, he texted Blaine to inform him about the incident and then requested his assistance. Blaine, a responsible adult, quickly responded and agreed to meet with Noah at the hospital.
When they arrive at the ER, Noah meets up with Blaine, who seems surprised to see Noah carrying Tracy in his arms. Noah briefly explains the situation, mentioning the boy's behavior and the accident that resulted in Tracy's injury.
Blaine listened attentively, his eyes fixed on Tracy. When Noah finished, Blaine said, "I guess you met Trey Hunter. Trey's father, Bruce, has been trying to get us to stop bringing Tracy to Rainbow Care."
Noah nodded, realizing the significance of Bruce's actions. He had been concerned about the suspicious behavior of the boy, and now it seemed as though there was a deeper issue at hand.
Kurt Anderson suddenly rushed into the ER with Rachel St. James, Tracy's surrogate mother. Kurt appeared visibly shaken and was making an effort to keep himself calm. Rachel sensed Kurt's distress and tried to comfort him, holding his arm tightly.
As they approached Tracy's bedside, Kurt and Rachel saw their daughter lying still on the hospital bed. The doctor, already preparing to administer stitches, explained to them the severity of Tracy's head injury.
Kurt was overcome with emotions; he broke down, unable to contain his worry and fear. Rachel, ever the supportive figure, held him close, offering words of reassurance and a gentle squeeze on his shoulder.
As the doctor completed the stitches, Noah, Blaine, and Kurt remained by Tracy's side, watching her every move. They exchanged glances, knowing that this incident had not only affected Tracy but also had the potential to alter their daily routines and relationship with Rainbow Care.
Tracy stays the night in the ICU to ensure that she does not have a concussion. Soon, Blaine and Noah will accompany her during this time. When she is finally released from the hospital the next day, Noah has Blaine follow him to a warehouse on the outskirts of town.
As they approach the warehouse, Blaine notices that Sam Evans and Dave Karofsky are already waiting for them. Furthermore, he sees that there are several trucks parked outside.
When they enter the warehouse, Blaine and Noah hear men chanting, "Puck!" They proceed inside to find a group of approximately thirty other men.
Suddenly, Blaine finds himself holding Tracy as they watch Noah engage in a fight against each of the other men individually. The battle is intense, with Noah displaying incredible strength and skill.
Throughout this encounter, Blaine remains vigilant, ensuring Tracy's safety. He watches intently as Noah defeats his opponents one by one, showcasing his exceptional fighting abilities.
This battle in the warehouse was a testament to Noah's strength and determination. Everyone was impressed by his skill.
Ultimately, Noah emerges victorious, having successfully defeated all thirty men. After the battle, Blaine and Tracy witnessed Noah's triumph firsthand.
The warehouse encounter is crucial for Blaine and Tracy, strengthening Noah's character and showcasing his abilities. It also reinforces their trust in Noah's judgment and commitment to protecting those he cares about.
Sam and Dave approach Blaine during a fight. Then Sam says, "Puck started the fight club in high school with Finn after you started going to McKinley."
Soon, Dave states, "We didn't tell you about it because we were under a secrecy oath."
They look at Tracy as Dave continues, "Puck was the first person I came out to after kissing Kurt in high school. Puck and Finn wanted to make sure new football players on the team knew to leave Kurt alone. The Fight Club died after Finn did. We started it back up when Spencer was mugged when COVID-19 hit. Puck learned about it after Rachel had Tracy and has won every fight since."
Tracy reaches for Sam and says, "Papa's turn," as Noah approaches him.
Noah chuckles as Blaine's face goes white. Then he told Tracy, "Squirt, I think that will have to wait. I doubt your papa wants you to watch me kick his butt."
Then he whispers, "Don't worry, Blaine. I'll teach you everything I know first. This was just my way of letting Tracy know I had her back. I'm sure Bruce will regret meeting me tomorrow."
Noah takes Tracy to daycare and meets Bruce the next day, who is yelling at Will Schuester as he enters the daycare with his kids. Noah gets out of his truck with Tracy in his arms after getting her out of her car seat. Then he yells, "Hey!" as he puts Tracy down.
Tracy runs to Will as Noah continues, "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" Soon, Bruce raises his fist to hit Noah, but Noah bodyslams him to the ground.
Bruce gets up, and they circle each other as Noah says, "I was just like you, man. Then I met someone who taught me to be a better man." Bruce tries to hit Noah again, and he punches Bruce in the nose, knocking him out.
Will approaches Noah and says, "Puck, I thought you should know. Burt, Blaine, and Karofsky have had run-ins with Bruce for the past year. I managed to avoid him, but I ran into him today."
He continues, "Tracy talked about someone she called Uncle Nono to me for months. I should have known she was talking about you. One more thing: I streamed your fight with Bruce, and Quinn is glad you are not with Kurt."
Noah rolls his eyes and says, "God, Mr. Schue. You have no clue how long I've heard that since I was transferred back here."
He glances toward the daycare and says, "I will return to the Navel Military Base after New Year's. God, Mr. Schue, I hate to leave. Tracy hit her head after that jerk's son knocked her down." Before he could say more, the police arrived and arrested Bruce.
Then Matt Rutherford approaches them and says, "I called the cops after watching Mr. Schue's livestream. Bruce is my brother-in-law, and my sister, Gale, has been trying to leave him for years."
When Noah is about to leave, an old lady named Edna Johnston exits the daycare. She asks Noah if they can talk and then says, "Tracy tells me you're in the Navy. Being in the Navy pays better than working at a daycare, but I wondered if you would like a part-time job working here until you return to the base."
Will chuckles at Edna as Noah says, "Edna, I would love to." As soon as they enter the building, the workers giggle when Edna has Noah remove his shirt and put on a sleeveless shirt. Then, Tracy glares at Edna as she shows Noah around.
Later, at nap time, Edna gives Noah a whistle to get the kids to lie down for a nap. Noah doesn't use it. He roars before the kids rush to their mats and lie down. Tracy is the last to lie down and asks Noah to sing "I'll Be Home For Christmas" by Bing Crosby. Edna hands Noah a guitar, and he has the kids close their eyes. As he sings the song, he does not know that one of the workers streams it on Facebook.
After nap time, Noah takes Tracy home. On the way there, Tracy asks, "Nono, why isn't Aunt Beth with you?"
Noah sighs and says, "I was too young to raise her, and your Aunt Quinn didn't give me any choice." The rest of the drive home was quiet and Tracy fell asleep on the way home. Noah thinks of Beth and breaks down when he pulls into Kurt's driveway.
