ok so unlike my avatar's hokage story instead of there being 2 worlds and they come together, here there is one world. some characters and abilities translated into the avatar world. combining some history of naruto and implementing them into the avatar world. so like the uchiha won't have chakra, but they will have chi and fire bending, but they will use their fire bending in a similar way to jutsus(sometimes). and they will have the sharingan...just have an open mind.

It was a rough day for one Itachi Uchiha, he had just finished training with his fire bending instructor prince Iroh when he got sad news. Iroh would be leaving, along with Itachi's best friend and cousin Shisui. Itachi knew this day was coming for a long time, the plan to take ba sing se has been in the works for years. Itachi thought he had prepared to say goodbye, but it appeared he wasn't. Iroh was like the father he never had, or more accurately the father he should have had. Fugaku was always busy with war meetings and his schemes. Itachi knew his father had high ambitions in the political world, but it seemed as though those ambitions mattered more than he did. It made him sad.

Then there was Shisui, the only other Uchiha left other than Itachi and his father. They all died off in the war, used as weapons of combat. And now Itachi feared it was happening again. Shisui was barely 15, yet he was off to war. Iroh had promised to keep him safe, but Itachi still feared the worst.

Itachi was currently sitting in the royal garden, staring at the pond filled with turtle ducks. The Uchiha were a great and noble clan, said to be descendants of spirits-which gave them the sharingan- so the uchiha's lived in the palace, they were as close to royalty as one could get without actually being royalty.

"Hey Itachi!" Asked a chipper voice

Itachi turned around and saw one of his close friends, Ty Lee. She was around two years younger than him, but she was kind, sweet, and very energetic. The opposite of Itachi

"Hello Ty" Itachi replied softly

Ty Lee frowned "your aura is all blue, why are you sad?"

Itachi sighed, even at the young age of 8 Itachi was very good at hiding his emotions. He prided himself in it, yet Ty Lee could read him like an open book. He didn't know if auras were real or if she could really see then, either way she could see his emotions.

"Sensei Iroh and Shisui are going off to war, to try and take ba sing se….I'm scared"

Ty Lee had a look of understanding "oh…."

She proceeded to sit down with him, then held his hand with a smile "don't worry! They'll be fine, prince Iroh is super strong. And Shisui is a prodigy with those green flames!"

Itachi smiled lightly "thank you Ty Lee, you always bring a smile to my face"

Ty Lee lightly blushed "no problem!" She then looked at Itachi in concentration "hey! Your aura is back to normal. You're not sad anymore!" Ty Lee said with great happiness as she hugged Itachi tightly

Itachi simply chuckled

Itachi sat at the dinner table with his father and Shisui, it would be Shisui's last meal with them for a long time. Itachi was savoring every second, while Fugaku was just reading some scrolls. He suddenly stopped and looked up at Shisui

"Shisui, you're a prodigy of unparalleled skill. Your genjutsu is greater than even mine, and your mastery over the body flicker is incredible. Plus you have unlocked the mythical green flames. I expect you to do well in war, better than well, the coming siege should end with the you or more importantly the Uchiha being legends" Fugaku said in a serious voice

"Yes uncle" Shisui replied

Fugaku then turned to Itachi "though you are too young to participate in the war, and then there is your Sensei leaving. So you are to continue your training, I want you to learn the way of the sword from Piando. But this does mean you are slacking on your bending or Uchiha techniques. In 2 years I will take you to the battlefield to join your cousin. You must learn exactly what this war is and what you're fighting for."

Itachi felt a bit nervous but nodded "yes father"

Fugaku then returned to looking at his scrolls. Itachi and shisui looked at each other with dread

After dinner Itachi met Shisui in private. Itachi looked up at him

"Please come back, father doesn't understand me like you do. No one does….I don't wanna lose you"

Shisui smiled brightly and ruffled his hair "don't worry about it Itachi! I'll be fine, your big bro Shisui is unstoppable!"

Itachi gave a light laugh and hugged his cousin and surrogate big brother.

Itachi stood at the docks, watching the fleet prepare to leave. Men were loading the ships, Iroh and his son Lu ten were ordering soldiers, while Shisui was helping the soldier's load the ships. When everything was ready Iroh walked over to Itachi

"Goodbye my young apprentice, I will return to complete your training when my mission is complete, Until then continue practicing your basics"

Itachi bowed "yes sensei Iroh"

Iroh laughed then began walking off when suddenly he yelled "OH and don't forget to drink tea every morning, it helps calm the mind"

Itachi smiled but then frowned as he watched as the ships left the fire nation, not knowing if Iroh and Shisui would return. And if they did, would they be the same? Itachi knew war changes people. After all, it changed the world.
