This was it. It was finally going to be the day of the Dragon Hunters. After a good night's rest, the team packed up everything they could possibly need. Ryker was bound to pay a visit to the Edge on the way toward his hunt for the Dragon King, so this might be the last time they see their home. But maybe they'll have a new home on Berk. They even sent out word to Dagur, and any of their other friends to get a chance to fight back.

Once they reached the land of Arendelle, everyone jumped off their dragons and Elsa was currently holding onto Viggo while also holding him with handcuffs that they made out of her ice powers.

"Alright, we have a head start on Ryker." Hiccup tells them. "So, we are going to have to split up."

"Split up?" Heather asked.

"I'm going to look for the King of Dragons," Elsa tells them as she jumps off of Luna for a moment. "I might have a few ideas of where to start looking, and we don't know if Ryker is going to be there when they arrive or come directly for the King himself."

"What are we going to do with Vigo?" Astrid asks. "Because I don't trust the guy."

"You know he'd actually be pretty fun to hang with, I mean if he weren't trying to kill us all the time." Tuffnut comments as he and his sister jumped off their dragon.

Ruffnut chuckled. "You gotta love the way he talks." They then started imitating Viggo. "Hiccup, I'm afraid our time together has come to an end. I must now kill you if you have no objections."

Tuffnut then chuckled when she heard that. "Like he's not gonna have objections. And then I'll go..." Then he started imitating Viggo. "All of your Dragon Riders must also go. With my sincerest apologies."

Fishlegs was confused when he looked towards Hiccup. "I'm with Astrid. This is all just one big game to him, Hiccup."

"Ryker is coming to try to wipe us all out along with his brother. Are we really gonna take any chances with Viggo here?" Astrid asked.

"You guys are right, and we already came to an agreement." Hiccup said as he looked at Elsa. "We've got this."

Elsa created a cage of ice and they tossed Dagur into it, with the ice being cold enough to keep him inside for a while. And with it being near the ruins of the castle, it felt a little like subtle irony for Elsa. The same man who was the reason for the destruction of her home was now imprisoned in it.

"Hiccup, you must reconsider," Viggo said as he was thrown inside.

"I'm sorry Viggo, there's just too much bad blood for us to trust that you'll do anything but try to, well you know." Hiccup commented.

"And the fact it is in the ruins of our home, which you destroyed, is just bitter irony to me," Anna commented with a smile.

"I deserve that," Viggo admitted with a sigh. "And the Dragon Eye's return, it did nothing to assuage your concerns?"

Elsa scoffs. "Not enough."

Viggo walked up and stuck his arm through the bars. "Ryker will attack this island with my Shellfire dragon I'm afraid he won't stop until all of you are, well, you know..."

Hiccup sighed. "That's encouraging, as always, Viggo."

"You see that's just it!" Viggo exclaimed. "I could be of considerable assistance in helping you defend your home if you would allow me."

Anna wasn't convinced, and neither was anyone else. "We'll take that under advisement," Anna said.

Then the twins ran over and seemed short of breath from running so far. "They're here!" Tuffnut exclaimed. "Well, I mean not here exactly, but soon, they will soon be here. I'm thinking we might need to start getting ready."

Hiccup wasn't sure what he was saying and looked at the twin. "Translation, Ruff?"

"Dragon Hunters. Leyla said that Cutter spotted multiple ships headed this way." Ruffnut recapped.

Hiccup sighed and looked at Elsa. "I think that's your cue to go."

"Wish me luck." Elsa sighed as she whistled, calling Luna to her side. She then leaped on top of her dragon and looked over to the ocean. "You sure you won't need me?"

"We need you to protect the Dragon King, and keep it safe." Hiccup tells her. "We don't need to worry about if this is some trap if we keep Viggo here, and keep Ryker from getting here."

"Who are you even going to see?" Anna wonders.

"People who were here long before," Elsa whispered as she took off to the skies.

Hiccup then looked at the twins. "Alright, the two of you, make sure he doesn't escape."

"We got this, our friend," Tuffnut promised.

Hiccup then got on the back of Toothless and flew off to regroup.

Tuffnut and Ruffnut made their way over towards Viggo. "So, Viggo, mind if we bounce something off you?"

Hiccup then regrouped with everyone else, knowing that they were the last defense to stop the Dragon Hunters from reaching the King of Dragons. They just needed to hope that Elsa found and was going to be able to protect it while they defended her.

"Alright gang, we have until nightfall, they'll be in range by then." Hiccup tells them.

"Hiccup I have a thought. And follow me on this, okay come along for the ride. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not completely attached to this place alright? Let it burn to the ground." Snotlout tells everyone but then sees all of their faces. "I mean is it worth dying over? That's what you have to ask yourself. Alright, let's take a vote. Anyone?"

Hiccup sighed. "Snotlout, if we don't stop them here, where do you think they're going to go next?"

Snotlout didn't seem to get the hint. "Uhhh..."

Hiccup groaned and spelled it out. "Berk!"

Snotlout finally seemed to get the hint. "Berk, Berk, Berk."

"They're going to go to Berk, our Berk." Hiccup was surprised to hear how attached he was to Berk after everything they did. "We have to make our stand here and do whatever it takes to stop them. If they get the King of Dragons, they'd be unstoppable."

"Well, that's one nay. Not surprising." Snotlout stated.

"Dagur, can you and Shattermaster cover the back side of the edge?" Hiccup asked him. "With the time you've spent sneaking around everywhere, you'll have an advantage."

Dagur nodded and gave a salute. "On my way. And uh, I take that as a compliment by the way, you know the sneaking around part." He said chuckling.

Hiccup rolled his eyes. "Of course you do. Snotlout, you and Hookfang, get the Gronckle Iron walls on the huts. Fishlegs, take Meatlug, and mold those Gronckle Iron walls together. We can't risk them sneaking up on us."

"Got it," Fishlegs says.

"Anna, you and the kids keep eyes on the perimeter." Hiccup assigned them a mission. "Anyone gets too close, you send them packing."

"We got it." Dak promised.

Tuffnut and Ruffnut then approached, calling out. "Hey! There's no crying in Maces and Talons." Everyone wasn't sure what they were saying and lost. "What do you think? Our catchphrase, we already got the Viggo stamp of approval."

Hiccup rolled his eyes and just moved on. "That's awesome. Ruff, Tuff, and Astrid, you take on the first wave of ships."

"Don't worry your pretty little head, we're on it," Ruffnut promised.

Heather shrugged. "I'm not worried."

"Talking to Hiccup," Ruffnut replied. "You'll have it before you can say Ultimate Destruction, my friend!"

Back with Elsa, she was flying over the island with Luna. She was closing her eyes and took a deep breath, she wasn't entirely sure what she was planning. But she decided to seek help from the only other people on the island.

"Take us down, girl!" Elsa called as they flew downward towards the ground. When she reached the ground, she found herself in the same clearing from last time. "Hello? Is there anyone here?"

Then just like last time, the boulders started to roll their way out from the bushes, coming into the clearing and unrolling to reveal the trolls.

"The Princess."

"She's back?"

Then the elder of the trolls came rolling out and revealed himself to Elsa. "Princess. What are you doing here?"

"I'm sorry to do this, Pabbie," Elsa said as she kneeled down. "But Hunters are here."

"Again?"

"Oh, no."

"I know." Elsa sighed and remembered what the Hunters did last time. "But look, they're here to take the King of Dragons. I'm here to stop them. You know where I can find him?"

Pabbie sighed and nodded.

As nightfall came, the Shellfire and a lot of dragon hunter ships came into view of Arendelle. The Shellfire opened and several men came out carrying hammers while Ryker came out and saw the kingdom in the distance. He made his way over to one of the other boats that were separating from the long distance.

"Remember, I don't want prisoners. I want bodies." Ryker stated, looking at the dragons in the distance.

They then slammed the hammers against the Shellfire, causing the dragon to shoot out fireballs. The Dragon Riders were still working on the defenses when Cutter saw the fire.

"Incoming!" Cutter called out.

"They're here!" Leyla called as the Shellfire attacks rained down above them.

"Everyone find cover!" Hiccup called as they jumped on their dragons. "We have to wait out the initial attack!"

The Shellfirw rained down on them as everyone ran for cover anywhere they could. Hiccup made it into one of the remaining standing houses in the kingdom. As they all were waiting out the attacks, Viggo felt his cage shaking and saw the attack had begun.

"Fools!" Viggo cried.

Tuffnut was looking as a few crates they brought shook and was surprised to see Chicken was with them. "Hey, chicken!"

"So, what are you doing here?" Ruffnut asks Snotlout.

"I had nowhere else to go!" Snotlout admits as he hid under a table in the house.

Hiccup made it to a house with the twins and held them close. He saw they were panicking and wished they weren't in this situation but it was kinda late to change from here.

"I hope the others are okay," Leyla said as she curled up in Hiccup's lap for safety.

"They'll be alright." Hiccup promises as he comforts them. "Just Hope Elsa got to the Dragon King."

Elsa was following the trolls as they rolled around and reached a giant cave at the back of Arendelle. She walked ahead and felt a strange pull drawing her toward the cave.

"What is this?" Elsa asks.

"The safest way through," Pabbie tells her. "There are ways through the water, so you must hurry. Your Hunters might have made a new way inside."

Elsa nodded as she knew this was her only chance she ran inside and made her way down, using the ice to create a slide to help her get downward faster.

Just as they figured, Ryker had indeed found a way inside after separating from his group and was making his way downward into the cave of the King of Dragons.

Back with the others, they began to regroup, trying to get over the last devastating attack from the Shellfire. Luckily nobody was injured, and since the Shellfire was more or less randomly firing, it couldn't get a hit on them easily.

"Okay, I'm not sure about any of you, but there's no way I'm sitting through that again," Snotlout tells them. "We have dragons, we should be out there sinking their ships."

"The fire isn't coming from the ships, it's coming from the Shellfire." Hiccup reminded him. "

Then to everyone's surprise. Viggo enters the Room. "I hate to be the one to say I told you so but..."

"How did you get out!?" Hiccup asked.

Viggo then placed a hand over Snotlout's shoulder. "My friend Snotlout was good enough to allow me to use the facilities."

Hiccup sternly looked at him. "Oh, he did, did he?"

Snotlout shrugged and stepped away from Viggo. "What? He scares me. And besides when you got to go, you got to go, and who knows that better than me?"

Viggo then stepped ahead of them. "Hiccup, you must allow me to assist you for the sake of us all. The Shellfire's range is over a mile, Ryker is using ships, my ships to be exact, to protect it."

"Then we need to get past the ships," Heather stated.

"We better do it quickly." Hiccup stated. "Ruff, Tuff, you're up."

Ruffnut nodded with glee. "We're on it."

Snotlout was confused on his part. "Hey! What about me?"

Hiccup raced out and stopped to turn back. "Just look after your new best friend there." He said as he gestured to Viggo.

"Where's the fun it that!?" Snotlout asks.

Hiccup was now getting irritated. "It's not supposed to be fun." He then ran out but made a quick turnaround. "And I don't care how scary he is, do not let him out of your sight again."

Viggo smiled as he turned to Snotlout, who remained unnerved by his presence. Suddenly, the ground shook again, signaling another attack from the Shellfire.

Hiccup flew out and was flying alongside Anna, Heather, Astrid, Dagur, Fishlegs, and the kids. They were going to try and keep out of their dragon root arrows, so they wouldn't get shot out of the sky.

"We need to slow them down a bit and keep moving," Hiccup instructs. "If they shoot at us, we return fire." Suddenly, the Shellfire resumes its barrage. "Look out!" he warns.

The group was in the midst of a fierce battle with the Hunters. Hiccup and Toothless quickly made a nosedive to avoid the arrows being shot at them. Heather was flying with Windshear, using her wings to protect the children. Cutter flew in, slicing the wood of the ship, causing the Hunters to scream and abandon their sinking vessel.

Winger used his powerful blast to implode the other ship, sending fragments of wood flying everywhere. Windshear was not far behind and sent dozens of strikes of her quills, taking down a few of their pillars. Fishlegs let out a battle cry as they flew over a ship, and Meatlug spewed lava on it, causing it to catch fire.

Dagur cried out in laughter as he had Shattermaster plummet, crashing through their ships and flying out. Anna flew around, using Echo's sonic screech to send the ships toppling into one another or turning over into the ocean. As they were flying, the Shellfire attacks were still coming in fast. Astrid spun to dodge the strike as they saw the Shellfire in the distance, preparing for their next wave of attacks.

"Hiccup?" Astrid called, finishing one of the ships off.

"Shellfire. I know. Let's go!" Hiccup called as they flew in close towards the dragon, seeing the Dragon Hunters on top of the dragon, striking the dragon under its shell. "Uh, are you guys seeing this?"

Astrid nodded. "Unfortunately."

"Of course, it wouldn't fire at us on its own," Leyla stated. "The Dragon Hunters are forcing it to attack."

"And we can't take them out without endangering the dragon." Dak realizes.

"I'm sure that was their plan," Winger commented.

In the city of Arendelle, the aftermath of the Shellfire attacks was still visible. The once-thriving streets and buildings now lay in ruins, charred and destroyed. Amidst this destruction, Viggo was imprisoned in the cell of ice. He had been trying to escape his icy confinement, but his efforts were in vain. As he looked around, he could see the flames spreading rapidly, engulfing everything in their path, including the ice prison that held him captive. Viggo knew that he had to find a way out before it was too late.

"Snotlout, release me immediately!" Viggo cried out, but nobody was coming to his aid. "Snotlout. Snotlout!"

Elsa was making her way down the caves and was wondering where Ryker and his men were. But as she kept going, she stopped in terror when she saw the Dragon Hunters were frozen in the ice itself. Luna sniffed her way over and snarled at the, while Elsa petted her head to calm her.

"It's okay, girl." Elsa wasn't sure if this was the work of a dragon, or if this was some ice cave-in. But that didn't make much sense. "Okay, come on, Elsa." She started as she made her way further into the cave with her dragon. "Gotta keep going."

The Riders were still trying to dodge the attacks from the Hunters on top of the Shellfire, whilst also delivering some attacks do their own to try and take them down. But every time they knocked one over, several shots came in several directions due to the constant ships in the area.

"Let's regroup." Hiccup tells them as they fly above their range of fire. "There's no way to control it without hurting it."

Astrid was sorry to be the only one to say what they were thinking. "We might not have a choice."

Hiccup denied that however. "No. There's gotta be another way." Whoa! Aren't you supposed to be watching Viggo?" Then he saw the fires spreading. "Is that the city on fire?"

Snotlout shrugged. "You said don't let him out no matter what."

Hiccup groaned when he heard that. "Snotlout, use your brain!"

"For once!" Toothless cried as they flew towards Arendelle.

"Good Thor, you're so mercurial," Snotlout said as the younger twins and Anna gave him a confused look. "Viggo taught me that. I don't know what it means."

Hiccup sighed as they were closing in on where Viggo was being held. "Hope this isn't the biggest mistake of our lives, bud."

Then there were more ships coming in and the shellfire was still raining down on them. Dagur growled as he pulled out a few daggers of his own.

"Okay, Shattermaster, time for a lesson on bullying." Dagur cried as they flew in for battle.

Hiccup flew his way into the city and landed just as Viggo was beginning to be consumed by the flames. He raced over unlocked the cell and helped Viggo get away from the flames.

"Hiccup, you came all the way back to rescue me." Viggo was surprised. "I'm honored."

Hiccup scoffed. "Yeah, don't be. If I left you here to die, it would make me no better than you."

"Well, you'll be glad you returned," Viggo said as Hiccup mounted Toothless. "I can help if you will allow me."

Hiccup considered their options and was concerned for Elsa. "How? How are you gonna help?"

"I can advise you on defeating the Shellfire," Viggo promises.

Hiccup scoffed, not believing that. "You got that all figured out, do ya?"

Viggo nodded in confirmation. "As luck would have it, I do."

Hiccup groaned, realizing he had no other option. Against his better judgment, he chose to place his trust in Viggo and extended a hand for him to grasp.

Elsa and Luna ventured further into the depths of the caves. However, their journey was abruptly interrupted by a tremor that sent the cave shaking, instilling panic within them. Falling stones created a barrier, severing Elsa's connection with her dragon. Desperate, she leaped forward as Luna struggled to navigate through the tumbling rocks.

"Luna, I'm okay!" Elsa promised her dragon. "You're gonna have to find another way around." She then started to walk off further. "Hurry!"

As Elsa continued to make her way further into the caves, she found a large opening, where there was nothing but snow and ice. As she made her way inward, she froze in shock when she saw there was what appeared to be a nest in the cave. When she approached it, she was in for the shock of her life. She saw inside of the nest there was an egg. It was a giant egg, bigger than any other dragon she's ever seen in her life, but it was definitely a dragon egg. It even had weird spikes coming out of it, making her believe this was indeed a Dragon King species.

"The King of Dragons laid an egg?" Elsa asked as she picked it up. "Whoa, heavy little thing."

"Would you look at that?" Ryker called, spooking Elsa as she spun and saw he entered through another entrance with a handful of Hunters. "All this time, it was right under your feet."

Elsa looked at him in anger, looking at all of them in anger. "All this time, this was why you slaughtered everyone? Why you killed my family?! For this?!"

"Yes, and you would do us all a favor, by just handing it over," Ryker demanded her, having his men raise crossbows.

"You want this egg?" Elsa asked, placing it down and raising her hands. The snow began to flurry around them, and the Hunters were beginning to become aware of who they were facing. "Come and get it!"

"Okay, I'm confused," Snotlout said. Everyone had met back up in Arendelle, taking refuge from the constant attacks. "You said to keep him in his cell. You can't toy with my emotions like this, Hiccup. I'm too fragile right now."

Astrid stepped forward. "He's right, I mean, sort of. Are we really trusting Viggo to be on the loose, especially now?"

"Well, if Viggo can help figure out how to stop this attack..." Hiccup explained his reasoning.

"What if he can't? What if he won't?" Heather asked him.

"Or what if it's part of the plan? We just walked into it."

"Then, we just walked into it." Hiccup tells her. "But, I'm making the call. Viggo and I are gonna take this thing down." He then stepped forward and held Heather's hand. "We can finally put an end to his. Stop the Hunters, I need you to go out there with the others sinking the last of the ships."

"Okay...just..." Heather then leaned in and pecked his lips. "Be careful."

"Best I can." Hiccup said as he stepped over to Toothless and grabbed Viggo as they flew off.

Leyla stepped closer to offer comfort to Heather, who remained visibly anxious about Hiccup. As she gazed into the sky, watching them disappear into the distance, she knew that staying behind and letting this play out was not an option.

In the heart of the cave, Elsa stood her ground against the relentless assault of the Dragon Hunters. As one loosed a dragon root arrow in her direction, Elsa's reflexes were swift; she conjured a spike of ice from the earth for protection, then unleashed a surge of ice that sent her attackers reeling.

"Stay away!" Elsa demanded, watching the Hunters go flying.

Another assailant rushed at her from the side, but she was swift, flinging snow at him with her right hand. When one tried to ambush her from behind, she reacted promptly, using both hands to propel him through the air and into a wall, where several spikes erupted from the ground to halt his advance.

Ryker, having reached his limit, hoisted his crossbow, catching Elsa's attention as she readied herself to fire at him. However, she was aware that Ryle's speed was unmatched and he would simply evade and retaliate. Her strategy was to bide her time for the perfect opportunity to act, banking on her own swiftness.

To her astonishment, he didn't shoot at her but at the egg instead, propelling it across the cave floor. She saw it heading towards a cliff and gave chase. Despite using her powers to stop it, the egg continued its perilous journey towards the edge. Elsa hastily formed an ice spike, anchoring it into the cave wall, and descended swiftly to catch the egg with a relieved exhale. However, her relief was short-lived as she realized she was now cornered, and she looked up to find Ryker looming above her.

"We've come a long way, haven't we, Elsa?" Ryker asked, aiming a crossbow at her. "From the little girl who ran away to the one who runs toward danger." Elsa snarled, memories of this monster and his brother's deeds flooding back. "Now, how about you hand over—"

Before he could threaten her, Elsa and Ryker sensed the cave trembling. As she peered into the abyss below, a roar erupted from the depths. Suddenly, a surge of ice burst forth from the cavern, propelling a cloud of mist upwards and enveloping the group. Elsa clung to the cavern wall and the egg, while Ryker and his Hunters were hurled through the air.

Hiccup, accompanied by Viggo, soared over the ocean, heeding his guidance. Anticipating a ruse, he was ready for any deception. Meanwhile, the other Dragon Riders were locked in combat with the Hunters' ships, fiercely striving to prevent their approach to the shore.

"You know, there's word of a tournament. To be hosted by the Tribe of the Whispering Trees." Viggo tells Hiccup as they have a moment alone.

"Is that right?" Hiccup asks, uninterested in what he is saying. He didn't need Viggo getting in his head.

"Maces and Talons? The winner, apparently, receives a life-size game set. Made of solid gold." Viggo continues on.

"Oh, lucky him." Hiccup rolled his eyes.

"Poor, dear Hiccup. Relationships can be complicated. Am I right?" Viggo asks him and Hiccup looks at him, wondering who exactly he is referring to. "And while I can't put myself directly in your shoes, I can mostly surely empathize with your situation."

"You can, huh?" Hiccup is still uninterested in what he's saying.

"Absolutely. Having someone you love this much in the field of battle with you." Viggo tells him. "Let alone your own sister, and those children who you've seen to grown accustomed to. It can certainly cloud the mind, and impair judgment. Make even the simplest decisions vexing."

"You know what's vexing, Viggo? It's why you're rambling on trying to get inside my head." Hiccup stated, having enough of him. "I would think that, by now, you'd have given up. I'm focused, I'm clear, decisive. What I am not is your friend, your ally, your Maces and Talons buddy, okay? And need I remind you that despite the fact you tried to kill us, slaughtered a whole kingdom, orphaned my sister, and hunted her sister and children, I am still here helping you clean your messes. So let's leave our personal lives out of this and get down to business."

"I'm only trying to help." Viggo mumble.

"Well, if you want to help, why don't you tell me where we're going and what we're doing?" Hiccup asks as they see nothing doming anywhere.

Viggo then looked down and saw the time had come. "Stop, Dragon."

Toothless suddenly stopped, looking around. "What?"

"What's going on? There's nothing but ocean." Hiccup says.

Viggo pulls out a dagger behind Hiccup's back as he doesn't notice. "Yes. So, it would appear."

"I wouldn't do that if I were you!" Heather warns and Viggo looks to see she followed them.

Viggo turned around and was only slightly surprised to see she followed them. "Heather."

Hiccup then turns and sees the dagger. "Whoa! Whoa! What the Thor?"

"I'm afraid you may have misinterpreted the situation, dear Heather," Viggo tells Heather.

"Nah, I think I've interpreted it pretty well," Heather says sternly, having Windshear prepared to strike. "Drop it."

"Exactly what I planned to do all along," Viggo declares, releasing the dagger into the water, leaving them to ponder his true intentions.

Then they sensed the water starting to tremble and wondered what was occurring. Meanwhile, the dragon riders were soaring above, but one by one, they started to be taken down. Anna was the first to be knocked from the sky, with Astrid and the twins following suit. They plunged into the waters and emerged, realizing that they were becoming the focus of everyone's attacks. The Shellfire opened its jaws, preparing to unleash another blast.

"Oh, boy, this is going to hurt," Snotlout said in worry.

"And there's no cover out here," Anna said holding onto a piece of wood.

They start beating the dragon to have it fire upon them, and the others are preparing themselves for what's about to happen. But as it gets ready to fire, another dragon rises up and fights the Shellfire, dragging it into the water.

"What was that?" Tuffnut asks in shock.

"That, my friend, was a Submaripper," Leyla said in surprise.

"Where'd that come from? And why is it helping us?" Dak asked.

Astrid then watched as Heather and Hiccup flew above, making their way treads the fight. "They're alive!"

Hiccup and Heather come flying in and watch the fight. The Submaripper began to ignore the Hunters, which were being flung around the sea.

"So the dagger was to stir up the water and cause our Submaripper to surface?" Hiccup asks, reading about the dragon in Leyla's diary.

"Precisely," Viggo confirms.

"But how'd you know it would react this way?" Hiccup asks.

"Hiccup, the Submaripper is the natural and hated enemy of the Shellfire," Viggo explained. "A little fact I kept in my tunic for a day such as this when I stumbled upon the Submaripper on my first visit to Arendelle."

The two Tidal Dragons continued their fierce battle, churning the waves to jostle the Dragon Hunters' ships. This tumult served as a diversion, allowing the Dragon Riders to mount their dragons again and launch an assault on the preoccupied hunters.

Rejoining Elsa, she remained perched precariously on the ledge, contemplating her ascent. With one hand occupied by the egg, constructing ice stairs was not an option. However, a spark of ingenuity struck her as she gently let go of the egg, skillfully catching it with her feet, and began to wield her ice magic to form a solid handhold.

Ascending slowly and cautiously, Elsa found her grip on the egg slipping. Needing her legs to climb, she resorted to balancing the egg on her head. Upon reaching the summit, she was weary from the effort. As she paused to rest, Ryker approached, appearing to be one of the few remaining.

"Well, I didn't know you had that in you," Ryker said as he took the egg. "Now, you must see the irony in what's going to happen." He said as he took out his sword. "You will die, in the same chamber as the beast that gave you powers. It's..how would Viggo put it?"

"Poetic?" Elsa took a guess.

"That's it," Ryker confirmed, then proceeded to strike.

Just as he was about to deal the final blow, a plasma blast burst forth, hitting Ryker and compelling him to let go of the egg. It rolled across the cave floor, away from the edge. Luna, the source of the blast, yelled at Ryker in rage. The egg stopped near a Hunter, who quickly grabbed it and made his escape. Meanwhile, Luna was drawing Ryker towards the cliff's edge, readying herself for his onslaught. Elsa, however, realized that they needed to divide their efforts once more.

"Luna, no, go after the egg!" Elsa tells her dragon.

"By all means," Ryker said sarcastically.

"I'll be fine, Luna, go get that egg!" Elsa begged.

Luna, though uncertain, appeared convinced enough to dash off in pursuit of the Hunter. Ryker let out a chuckle as he observed Elsa's attempt to ascend, only to kick her down once more. As Elsa tumbled, she let out a groan, managing to grasp the handholds once again, albeit twisting her leg during the fall.

"You were a fool to think you could take me on alone!" Ryker cried, preparing once again to shoot her.

Elsa shut her eyes, bracing for what was to come. However, to her astonishment, another roar echoed and a fresh surge of ice and mist erupted from the chasm. She clenched her eyes shut, grasped the wall once more, and waited for the tumult to subside.

When the danger had passed, she was astonished to find herself unharmed. Looking up, she gasped; Ryker was encased in ice. She scrambled to the cliff's summit and realized he wouldn't be free for a while. Without hesitation, she dashed off to assist Luna in retrieving the egg.

Above, everyone was dodging the relentless assaults from the Dragon Hunters. As they targeted an unsuspecting Heather, they were abruptly bombarded by embers that flew and branded the hunters. Heather gasped, turning to see a Deathsong swooping in, its familiar markings catching her eye.

"Garff!" Heather cried in relief.

The Deathsong had grown up; it was the same youngling they had rescued not long before. As their old friend crooned its haunting melody, they observed a multitude of dragons emerging from the ether, a diverse array of species united in their assault on the Dragon Hunters. Amidst the chaos, a well-known Tidal Dragon surfaced, none other than Scauldy, returning to unleash a torrent of scalding water upon the ships.

"What is going on?" Dak asks.

"I don't know," Leyla admitted. "Where'd all these dragons come from?"

"Maybe they're here answering some sort of distress call." Anna guessed. "That's the only reason I could think of."

Dragons of all kinds, from Changewings to Nadders, converged to defend the King, each contributing in their own way. Meanwhile, Hiccup soared through the sky, skillfully evading attacks while Viggo remained by his side.

"Whoa!" Hiccup called. "Viggo, I have to drop you off on the beach. You're slowing us down."

"Pity. I was enjoying seeing these traitors go down." Viggo admitted as they flew towards the beach. Viggo dismounted Toothless as they were preparing to get back out there. "We may be advisories, Hiccup, but my respect for you is beyond what I could put into words."

Hiccup nodded and took off to oversee the remainder of the battle. Atali and the Wingmaidens had arrived and were aiding in the final push, casting the Hunters from the ships into the water.

Luna, was focusing on her mission to retrieve the stolen egg from the Hunter. She dashed through the dark and winding cave, determined to catch up with the Hunter who had taken the egg. The Hunter, thinking he had escaped, was startled when Luna emerged from the shadows, letting out a fierce snarl. In a moment of panic, the Hunter carefully set down the egg and attempted to flee.

Luna was not having any of it and smacked the Hunter with her powerful tail, halting his escape. She quickly scooped up the egg and dashed back towards Elsa, who was on her way out of the cave. Elsa saw her dragon approaching with the egg and her heart filled with relief. She knew that her loyal companion had accomplished the mission she had entrusted to her.

"Luna!" Elsa cried as she ran and met her dragon halfway. "Oh, I'm so happy to see you, girl."

Rejoining the dragons, Hiccup and Toothless observed as the Shellfire succeeded in freeing the ship from its back, then delved deep into the ocean to elude the Submaripper. In response, the Submaripper generated a whirlpool, pulling all nearby ships into its churning vortex.

"We did it," Leyla said in relief. "Is it over?"

"It almost seems that way." Hiccup said as he noticed the damage and eyed the mountain. "We gotta make sure that volcano isn't going to erupt on us. Make sure we didn't miss anyone." He and Toothless flew over and saw there was a gap in the mountain, leading to a dormant volcano, but nothing to worry about. "This nightmare looks to be finally over."

"Are you sure about that, Hiccup?" Viggo asked, shocking Hiccup when he saw he was holding Heather hostage on Windshear, using her axe as the weapon.

Hiccup snarled as he could easily guess what this was all about. "Viggo." He snarled in anger. "Let me guess. You want the Dragon Eye in exchange for Heather."

"It sounds much colder when you say it like that. But, yes." Viggo says and Hiccup looks mad at him. "While I do appreciate your sister's assistance in putting my brother in his rightful place if she indeed has succeeded, I must insist on where it belongs. With me."

Hiccup takes the Dragon Eye out of the saddle and has an idea to be rid of everything. But the knowledge in the Dragon Eye could be useful. But was it worth Heather to let Viggo out there again?

"Hiccup, don't give it to him," Heather tells him.

"Come now. Are you going to sacrifice your future...all the wonderful years you have ahead of you for that?" Viggo asks and Hiccup comes to terms with what to do.

"Well, I guess when you put it that way, no, I'm not!" Hiccup agrees and throws the Eye towards the volcano.

Viggo chases it until it falls into the lava. Viggo looks angry and turns to Hiccup when the ground underneath him collapses and he starts falling.

"No! Hiccup!" Viggo shouts.

Hiccup rushes to the rescue, only to witness a splash in the lava and hear the ensuing screams. Realizing he's too late, he murmurs, "Viggo, it didn't have to end this way," expressing his regret over the tragic conclusion.

Heather approaches him and draws him into an embrace, relieved that they are both safe. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Hiccup says and returns the hug.

"It's finally over. It is over, right?" Heather asks of him.

"It looks that way." Hiccup confirmed. "But...before we confirm that, we should check out on Elsa."

"Where do we look?" Heather asks.d

"I have an idea..." Hiccup said as he heard an angelic call.

Elsa navigated her way out of the caves, mimicking the angelic call she had heard to capture their attention. She aimed to ensure they knew her location and that she was safe, utilizing the glacier's echo to disseminate the message swiftly. Upon reaching the exit with Luna, they were promptly welcomed by the others, who descended on their dragons and touched down.

"Oh, thank Thor!" Hiccup cried as he ran to her and hugged Elsa. "You're okay!" Then he noticed the egg. "Is that...?"

"The King of Dragons egg," Elsa confirmed.

"What did it look like?" Fishlegs asked.

"Never saw him," Elsa admitted. "But he saved me. All of us."

"Ryker?" Heather asked.

"Taken care of," Elsa said as she handed the egg to Hiccup. "Viggo?"

"Gone." Hiccup confirmed. "It's over. All of it."

"So...what happens now?" Anna asks.

"Well, I have one idea," Elsa said as she grew a grin. "Do you wanna build a snowman?"

"What?" Hiccup was not sure he understood.

Elsa swirled her hands, weaving her icy magic to call forth snowflakes and gathering sticks, coal, and a well-known carrot from the surroundings. She fashioned these into a recognizable form, leaving the onlookers astonished as they recognized Elsa's creation.

"Luckily...water has memory," Elsa stated.

Then when Elsa finished bringing the shape back, they watched as the snowman started to blink and giggle. Then he looked at the group and gasped.

"Anna?" Olaf seemed to recognize her, surprising since he never met them. "Elsa? Hiccup?" He then looked towards the dragons. "Luna? Toothless?" He then giggled in glee. "Oh, you came back!" Hiccup, Elsa, and Heather engulfed the snowman in a hug. "Oh, I love happy endings! So, what did I miss?"

Hiccup chuckled as they prepared to leave. "We have a lot to discuss on the way home." He then looked to the Dragon Riders and saw that it was finally time to go home. "Our real home."

Elsa was shocked to hear that. "What?"

"That's right. We're heading back to Berk." Hiccup confirmed.

As they were preparing to leave the Edge, Atali appeared to have a friend who knew something about handling the dragon egg. Hiccup couldn't afford to question it as they had to pack up everything at the Edge and start their return to Berk and decided to just trust her.

Once they arrived back on the island, things began to change in a big way. The tribe began to discuss the possibility of officially appointing Hiccup as the new Chief as it was once his birthright to take that place. This was a momentous occasion, as it would mean a new era for Berk. But Hiccup wasn't entirely sure if he was ready to be known as the new chief of Berk officially.

Hiccup wasted no time in settling back into family life with Heather and their children. One of their favorite family traditions was playfully tossing their kids into the air and catching them, a tradition that had been passed down for generations.

Meanwhile, Elsa was coming into her own, embracing her magical abilities after learning to control them. She created a special space where she could practice and hone her skills without fear of hurting anyone. Her newfound confidence was a welcome change for everyone who knew her from before.
